Serve.com is a new service provided by American Express that is similar to Paypal. According to CNN Money:

“Serve is aimed at customers who use cash, checks and debit cards, rather than the company’s traditional credit card users…it puts the bank squarely in competition with e-payment king PayPal.”

In order to generate publicity, Serve.com is presently offering $10 for anyone who signs up for a free account and uses this card to make one purchase!  NOTE: this is not a credit card.

Here’s how to get yours:

• Head over HERE and sign up for a free account.
• Check your inbox for a confirmation email containing a verification code. Mine went to spam.
• Log in to your Serve.com account. On the top of the main page, you should see a message asking to verify your account. Insert the code from your email here.

Making your own foaming hand soap is easier than you think. And if you’re a couponer, you can make this stuff for next to nothing!  I’m going to show you two ways to make it.  The first one (the method I use) is a little more costly, but I like that it is paraben free, and contains no lauryl/laureth sulfates.

First off, start by saving a foaming hand soap container from any brand of soap.  This is important, because it won’t work with a regular soap dispenser.

Next you can visit Vitacost to get a 32 oz. bottle of Castile Soap in your favorite fragrance for around $8. If you stop over HERE and sign up for a free account first, you’ll get a $10 Vitacost credit, making this totally free – just pay shipping.

Ingredients:

• 1 part Castile Soap
• 4 parts Water

Mix together in your foam dispenser and shake well. You’ll get rich lathery suds, good enough for even the dirtiest hands!

Assuming you purchase the Castile Soap at regular price, you’ll end up paying $0.50 to make a 10 oz. bottle. At the store you’ll pay $1.50-$3 for the same size product. If you go through 12 of these per year, you’ll save at least $12 making it yourself.

But wait! If you’re a couponer, then you may find your linen closet stocked to the rim with free or cheap body wash. You can use one part body wash and four parts water mixed together in your foaming dispenser to make your own foaming hand soap. I love this because hand soap is something that I rarely get for free with a coupon, but I get body wash for free all the time. So now I have another use for it!
