She was saying that another company she was involved with paid out fairly high commissions as does mine . Her story was that the second highest earner in the company was now filing for bankruptcy, even though she had been earning a 6 figure sum. It brought to mind a fact that Robert Kiyosaki mentions in his book 'Rich Dad poor Dad' which is that approximately 90% of Lottery winners are back at the income level they were at before they won within five years. Why is this?

The 45 Day Wealth Betond Reason Challenge

Find more videos like this on The Boundless Living Challenge

Creating an In Car University

Ok if like me you are still juggling a day job and getting your road to financial freedom off the ground, there is a serious problem we have - time management.

Now I am realising most of my time at the PC has got to be focused on social media as a way of attracting prospects. Trouble is this is time consuming even if you can do most of the connecting in an hour a day once you have good systems. The other time is spent producing value added content which I am now focusing on more for my niche of the market rather than general advice.

So the question I face is ow do I keep up with teleseminars and webinars and personal development CD's and free downloadable MP3s on a whole range of topics plus just about the best podcast Blog site there is
http://personallifemedia.com/. You will run out of choices what to subscribe to here :D

So what I am now in the process of is downloading all the training calls I can't attend due to time difference, CD's, MP3's ect. I transfer them to a sizable iPod but any similar device will do. There is now a product you can plug into your 12v plug which can tune into your car FM. You just manually find a frequency that enits white noise, set the device to the same frequency and you are ready. Make sure you change the Genre of your transferred tracks to Books and Spoken Word. You don't have to worry about this last part for podcasts you subscribe to.

Now you have an In Car University using dead-time positively and you will probably arrive at work in a better mood because somehow you don't notice the holdups as much.

How Perry Belcher Got 5000 Twitter Friends in 90 Days

Perry Belcher explains why you need Social Media Marketing

Affiliate Funnel Is A Different Way Of Thinking When It Comes To Downline Building

Downline building has been around since the beginning of the internet. The offer is very exciting, let people know about your product or service, refer a few folks and presto, you are on your way to massive success. What's the problem with this scenario though?

Simple, downline building isn't as effective as it once was years ago. Sure there are people making lots of money online using their downlines and affiliate marketing strategies but during the past few years a change has been taking place.

It's called the marketing funnel and if you think of the pyramid look of a 'downline', flip it!

Here's how it works. Get as many people as you can into the top of your funnel and funnel them down into paying customers. Start with a free front end product or service and then let your marketing turn those free leads into paying customers and clients.

Affiliate Funnel is a service that does this plus so much more. It is an all in one business hub that shows you how to properly promote online using the best free resources around and channel these leads into a thriving downline. This is the power of a well put together marketing funnel, taking leads and turning them into clients.

Affiliate Funnel is owned by two guys who have build massive six figure businesses using free resources and their own marketing funnel. Paul Kinder and Jon Olson have put their experience in a bottle and packaged it for anyone to check out for free at:

Affililiate Funnel

Be sure to check out the Funnel today and start to promote your business the right way using the absolute best tools on the net. The results are there, it's time to grab them...

Why you cannot ignore the Twitter explosion if you are a network marketer

Twitter is the fastest growing social media site on the planet and has doubled in numbers since September 2007. It is linked to all kinds of mobile devices and with iPhone type devices this is going to become the new realtime email and will probably replace texting. The Millenlum generation are completely comfortable with this way of commmunicating and us Baby Boomers better get up to speed fast.

This is a direct quote from Dave Evans excellent book 'Social Media Marketing An Hour A Day, "Twitter is the gateway drug to social media" - Jim Storer, Sr, Director. MySpace has become more difficult to stand out professionally and invite friends with a common interest so I would leave it for now.

As I mentioned in my last Blog regarding Facebook you need to have a professional profile in these networks:

A professional photograph or logo as your profile image

Brand yourself and the brand must be used consistently used

The brand should be based on one or two words that sum up who you are

For example mine is APeel Solutions – based on my Solution brand word

To provide solutions you have to identify the Big Problem which identifies your niche

Ensure the profile is fully completed and that you explain your vision in your profile

Join groups that are relevant to your niche and this is where you will invite friends from. Mike Klinger refers this part of your strategy as your ‘fishing pool’. This is because you are attracting not hunting.

Twitter is the same and YOU MUST have a presence here. It is the fastest growing social media site and has doubled in members since September 2008.

Twitter is used to micro blog any new services you may have or articles, ezines and Blogs you have produced again for example I have nearly 1000 followers so that many people see the message

Add to that Facebook has an application that feeds your tweets into your feeds so your friends see it as well

Linkedin is much more static and appeals to fellow professionals or professionals looking to make a change of career

YouTube is massively powerful simply because of the number of unique visitors it gets per day. Here it’s less about going and looking for prospects but providing value added content

Content can range from a small 30sec film saying you have a legitimate business opportunity in your area or 5 minute instructional videos on what you have learned. You will soon find people subscribing to your channel because it goes viral

To make the video marketing process go even more viral you submit the video to TubeMogul. This service blasts your video to about 7 – 8 video sites for free. They then get picked up by other sites and put there.

I have submitted 12 videos no longer 50 seconds and now rank positions 1, 2, 4 and 8 on the organic left hand side of Google for the search term ‘home business opportunities’ in my City in the UK.

So I hope this provides you with some ideas of what to do on St. Patrick’s Day if you are not to involved in the festivities.

If you enjoyed this post please feel free to 'digg it' with the button on the left.

Why you should be using Facebook as an integral part of your MLM marketing strategy.

Facebook used to be thought of as purely a place for social networking in the sense of friends meeting up or people with a common interest. However it has grown beyond that now and is the 2nd biggest social networking site in the world. If that isn’t a reason to consider Facebook then I don’t know what is?

Moving on from the sheer size and number of people on Facebook the interface is extremely easy to use as is the process of inviting ‘friends’. Friends for these purposes need to be thought of as prospects. Using Facebook it is perfectly possible to recruit 50 prospects in 20 minutes. So in a six day week that’s a potential of 300 prospects a week. The trick is to recruit friends from Facebook who are interested in MLM marketing.

Fortunately Facebook makes this easy because it allows like-minded people to form groups and a lot of industry leaders have fan pages.

Facebook has a limit of 5,000 friends, groups and Fan Pages are a way round this limit.

Essentially your strategy should consist of firstly creating a full and professional profile, preferably one you use for you MLM business only. That way you know all your friends are related to your business opportunity and not the one you may have for friends and relatives.

There are some cardinal sins you should not commit on the profile the main one being to do with your photograph. You DO NOT want a goofy, or scantily clad photo or one at an angle. You should be professionally attired and have a pleasant smile. Any logo should be relevant and again professional in appearance.

After creating your profile you then need to join up to say 10 MLM groups to start with. When looking at the groups go for groups with over 500 members. This is where you will recruit your friends from.

When inviting your friends remember to include their name in the invite.
That covers the first part of this series, I am grateful to the work of Mellissa Swanson and Gregg Davidson which has contributed to this post being written.

Does The Internet Direct Marketing Industry Need A Leader?

Those of you who have been following the Ferny Ceballos v Ann Sieg debate on Betternetworker may have come accross the term industry guru and Leader quite a few times. In quite a few posts it's been said this whole situation about because of a lack of leadership in the industry.

My reaction to this is 'poppycock' as we say in the UK. In what other industry is there a Leader - I simply cannot think of one. There are Leaders and representative associations but not a Leader as such. Heck even Bill Gates isn't the Leader of the software industry. So in my opinion the answer to the concept this was caused because a lack of leadership in the industry is just plain wrong.

What any industry needs as it matures is a responsible and ethical code of practice that leaders sign up to. There should also be a system of arbitration within that code of practice. Had either existed then the Ferny v Ann situaton would probably not have become a potentially legal issue. Such a body could also rule on good and bad practice. It could publish a guide which marketers could then follow.

The thought of a single industry leader is actually quite scary.

Alan Keith of Genentech has said "Leadership is ultimately about creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen." A view is also held that to be a true leader you have to be rational. As someone who has mentored leaders in a 20,000 plus employee organisation then the idea that true leaders don't respond to the amount of criticism leveled at their organisation is bizare.

So in conclusion I would said no we don't need an industry leader, what we need is an independent industry association that arbitrates and issues good practice that we can sign up to and become members of.

Guess what the good news is such a body exists it's called the Internet Marketing Association and it's free to join.

So I guess my advice is for all our perceived gurus and leaders to join the IMA put the logo on their products and abide by their standards. Seems reasonable to me.

Andrew Peel

APeel Solutions
www.ApeelSolutions.com
apeelsolutions.blogspot.com

Great Books Reading List for Personal Development

<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; In fact it has been said your income will expand to the extent that your personal development does.

The easiest way to development is to access great business leaders, philosophers, thinkers and writers both from the past and current day. Jim Rohn and Chris Widener who co-authored the book, “12 Pillars of Success” (an excellent book that tells the story of a man’s self development through a novel), give a list of 20 books they believe everyone in business should read. I have added a few of my own. They suggest buying a book a week which at first I found pretty daunting, both in terms of cost and time.

However I have found quite a few of these books for free on various websites because the copyright has run out and on eBay. For example I bought 7 books of eBay for £30 (inc. post and package) that would have cost me over £70 on Amazon. I did have to buy one or two new but you see my point, personal development does not have to be expensive and is a serious investment in You Inc.

Ok so here goes the list of what myself and other consider to be must read books, the number one slot is interesting for me as I am not religious but I will still read it:

The Bible

How To Read A Book by Mortimer Adler

My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers

As A Man Thinketh by James Allen

Seeds of Greatness by Dennis Waitley

Seasons of Life by Jim Rohn

The Pursuit of God by Acden W. Well pretty much what it says in the company I am partnered with you get paid before the company does. How is this possible?

It’s possible because the products are higher value financial educational products that are attractive to either people who are looking to establish a real home business opportunity or want to manage their finances as effectively as possible.

The details of the business model can be found at my website www.apeelsolutions.com where you will be invited to apply to join the business if you like what you see.

Apply you might be saying? Well yes and to be honest we make no apologies for this. We are looking for serious entrepreneurs. The reason for this is clear from the previous posts in this series, we want people to succeed. The Application Kit is fully refundable and will explain everything about the business opportunity. If you decide to get started with the system straight away then a discount equal to the amount of the Application Kit may apply making it free and ZERO RISK.

I am personally very happy with the system and the education and training is excellent in fact second to none I have come across. The company is aiming to make 100 Millionaires by 2012 and already has 6.

So as you can see there is an alternative to traditional MLM that is successful and where you get paid first. If you are new to this business have you thought about developing one? As mentioned previously for you to succeed, you have to treat your opportunity as a business and not a hobby. And guess what? all businesses have a business plan.

The main reason for a business plan is to set yourself targets and goals. Without either of these you will not know if you are on course or not. In then becomes very easy to let things drift and before you know it months have passed by, results are not what you expect and you give up.

By developing clear targets and goals – short, medium and long term – you will gain a much greater sense of achievement when you hit them. This will motivate you to repeat the process becoming even more successful. You also have to be disciplined and stick to your plans for at least 90 days before revising them; this gives you long enough to see if they really are working. If you continually tinker with them you may end up revising your whole approach based on a temporary blip.

You may have come across the phrase take ‘massive action’ in relation to marketing. What does this mean? Essentially it means that once you have come up with your plan don’t over analyse it, take action straight away and put all your available effort into that action.

I understand that there are so many distractions in this day and age ranging from family commitments to TV, the Gym etc etc. Particularly if you see the business as a second income to start off with it is hard. However all successful business people like Anita Rodick, Richard Branson and others will testify to the long hours they put in when starting their businesses. So it’s important to preserve a work life balance but explain to your partner some sacrifice of your time is essential if your plan is to work. And as for your favourite TV shows – that’s why we have video recorders!

So in conclusion if you want to take your business ideas to the next level it will require clear goals and target together with immediate action. All of which will require you to examine what’s important and maybe re-prioritising some things in your life. But the payback when you are financially free is worth the effort. Because then you really will have the time to do all the things you have wanted to do.

Andrew Peel

APeel Solutions

lose weight fast

Free Weblog Directory

bleka tnder

Get Paid First Alternative To MLM - Part 3

In this article we are going to cover the importance of self development and training. If you have failed at MLM’s like I have think back and estimate how much training and coaching you got?

If it’s anything like my experience you may have got access to a back office system that kept a record of your leads and re-hashed advice from your Sponsor about growing your list. After weeks of trying to grow my list I was basically told it must be my fault because ‘the system’ worked for everyone else.

Well the 97% drop out rate already mentioned is I am sure so high because there is no training in marketing offered with most MLM opportunities.

In addition it needs to be recognised there is more than one way to market MLM. Some are very appropriate for your products and some are not and you need to be guided as to which is which. Preferably in a multi-media format because people learn in one of four ways:
• Visually – These people will generally say things like, “you have to see the big picture”, or, “I see what you mean”. So the best way they will learn is by video, PowerPoints etc.
• Orally – These people will say “I hear what you are saying”, or , “we need to listen to what this is telling us”. Such people will learn best by MP3 audios and CD versions of books etc.
• Descriptively – These people will say, “Let me have an email on it and I’ll get back to you”, or, “Do you have any notes I can take away and read?” These people learn by reading.
• Action – These people are action orientated and learn by copying or doing, so they will say something like, “Show me how to do it then let me try”.

Good training systems use all four methods because whilst we have a primary way of learning we use the others as well. So if you are looking for a good business opportunity to partner with you need to be aware of what training they offer. It’s worth paying more for a partner that provides this additional support as it pays in the long run – it’s an investment in you plc.

As well as the training it’s important to recognise you have a responsibility for your Personal Development and should invest in Books, CD, DVD’s etc that are critically recommended by independent reviews. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is always a good start as it’s easy to read as a primer, follow this with the Cash Flow Quadrant by the same author.

Get Paid First Alternative To The MLM Business Model - 2

Mindset is the subject of this note. It is said that 97% of home start up businesses fail in their first year. Of the remaining 3% a further 10% fail within 5 years. Why is this? Most industry ‘gurus’ agree on the reason – lack of determination to see the business through to the end.

This does not mean to say the people have failed in many cases they were set up to fail by the business model they were operating in. Constantly trying to recruit people means you have less time to look after your business.

The way that all successful people have succeeded is they have had a desire to succeed. It’s when this desire becomes a burning ambition that they are able to overcome any challenges and obstacles.

Napoleon Hill in his famous book Think and Be Rich explains how fundamental mindset is, he says it’s only when you feel discomfort with your situation that you are ready for a change, this will fuel your desire and ultimately your burning ambition.

He describes the process as ‘magnetising’ riches to the person. This is now a generally accepted form of marketing called ‘attraction marketing’. The aim is to attract business prospects to you as a person and not ‘sell’ products or services.
To attract business prospects you need to be able to demonstrate you can add value to their lives. Therefore the key is to build relationships with your prospects and have a ‘back office’ system that does the selling.

What do we mean by ‘does the selling’? There needs to be a fully automated process to sell the product. Ideally in terms of internet direct marketing it consists of a ‘landing or squeeze page’ where business prospects can enter their details. They should then be taken through a process that leads to them purchasing your product or service. This then allows for a 24/7 operation.

The key task for you is to drive traffic to your landing page and let the system do the selling. Therefore you need to determine a marketing strategy that fits in with relationship building. This means using lots of the social media to target the right group for what you are selling.

If you are selling cosmetic products for example then Pay Per Click may not be the best approach because of the high level of ‘fraud’ clicks you still have to pay for. However banner advertising on a site or forum aimed at working moms may be an excellent approach. Similarly a product aimed at professionals may be best advertised on sites such as LinkedIn or Entrepreneur.com.

I hope this makes clear the need for a positive mindset when undertaking an internet business opportunity and even more importantly not treating it as a hobby but as a business. If you don’t adopt a business mindset you won’t achieve business success.

Get Paid First Alternative To MLM - Part 1

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; <![endif]-->
Some MLM models end up being nothing more than ‘pyramid selling’ schemes leaving you floundering to make any money.

The first reaction of people trapped in such a situation is to either a) think it’s all their fault or, b) throw more money into Google Adwords or other forms of advertising breaking credit card limits. This is very frustrating and can lead to having less money than the original aim of a second income. Does any of this sound familiar? If so read on.

Firstly, the good news – it’s not your fault. The nature of traditional MLM mean that to make a residual income you have to keep recruiting prospects. At least 30% of these prospects has to convert into customers or affiliates. This is referred to as growing your downline.

The need to grow the downline means that Sponsors focus on recruiting more and more people. They usually don’t have time to train their team as a result people become disillusioned. People drop out of the team so recruiting becomes more frantic to cope with the attrition rate. Add to this many of the products don’t have intrinsic value it is little wonder the drop out rate is 97%.

So what should you look for in a good internet business opportunity? Note I said ‘business opportunity’. It is crucial that you adopt the mindset this opportunity is a business not a hobby. I will touch on mindset later in the series.

The key things to look for in an online business opportunity are:

Check the company you are affiliating with. What is their track record? How can you verify any projected income claims? If your potential Sponsor can’t or won’t answer these questions walk way.

Is there turn-key back office system that does most of the ‘donkey work’ so you can focus on marketing and getting more customers?

Does the company offer high quality training in a variety of formats. Will your Sponsor be accessible for assistance?

Is the product you are going to sell a quality product, meaning people would be prepared to pay the full price for the product even if you are discounting it?

Why I became an entrepreneur

So here I am sat at the PC having watched an excellent DVD provided by my current Direct Marketing Company on Web 2.0 I became inspired to post another blog. Listening to Robert Palmer and Alison Krauss (an unusual duo) and their excellent album Raising Sand - the title inspired me to think why I am doing this entrepreneur thing instead of what I used to do at this time - online gaming?

Well basically it pretty simple really it's all due to a reality smack in the face I received when I realised in December that in a year's time I would have to 'raise sand' and get some extra money. Why? Well my kind employer's will be dropping me two pay grades through no fault of mine - still it's better than no money right.

So taking Robert Kyosaki's Rich Dad's advice I decided not to get another job as well. I wanted to become financially independent. Question was how? An issue for me is my disability so I need something I can do that does not require a lot of driving around or walking.

I have always been computer savvy ever since I had my very first VIC20! So online seemed like a good place. Again Robert Kiyosaki suggested Direct Network Marketing as a good move for an employee to own their own business. So I tried one MLM that had some training, problem was my sponsor saw me as a bottom feeder once he had the commission. Hence I was left to drown zilch commission and big credit card hit for Adwords.

Then I came across Mike Dillard and Magnetic Sponsoring which turned my ideas of network marketing upside down. Being a senior manager of 15 years his concepts made perfect sense in terms of managing and motivating staff. I just never thought about them in terms of marketing which I thought was selling something not selling me.

I was now convinced that with my project management and managerial background I had most of the skills needed except marketing - how hard could that be to learn?

So I researched the topic and found I needed:

1) A duplicatable turnkey system (thanks again to Robert Kiyosaki for that)
2) A quality product to sell - which I have and is one that is needed more than ever in these credit crunch times
3) Training

I found the company with the right mix, a sponsor who earns six figures but is still down to earth and willing to give of her time. I am very happy with the compensation plan which is easy to understand and explain and I am doing well so far.

So I am now on an immediate mission to become financially free in a year and at the same time help other budding entrepreneurs find the right mix. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Andrew Peel
Owner APeel Solutions
http://www.apeelsolutions.com
Email: andrewpeel09@gmail.com
SkypeID: andrew.peel001
Tel:+44(0)7786 194419

Rich Dad Poor Dad Conference - UK

I went to the Rich Dad Poor Dad Conference in Peterborough, UK this week being a big fan of Robert Kiyosaki. I had expected the two hour talk to go over Robert's main philosophy and then probably sell some products at the end.

The speaker whom I shall not name started off quite well but steadily became more evangelical towards the end. This was after he had revealed the 'real reason' behind the conference. A three day conference in a 4* Hotel minus board and lodging for £1,990. At that point some of the audience started to dribble out. However to be fair there was another product on sale a complete course of Kiyosaki's for £600. And we were told if we decided before leaving to buy the course then the 3 day conference was included.

I came away disappointed from the conference disappointed for the following reasons. At the end the speaker said we had two choices to walk out the door and go back to our lives and carry on doing as we were or go to the table and make the purchase. Now I don't know about you but that didn't feel like attraction marketing to me.

Secondly the whole seminar was geared to how easy it was to acquire property and become a multimillionaire. I recently decided after over 20 years in the 'rat race' that I had to do something about it. My initial thoughts were fear at giving up my well paid Local Government job and moving into the private sector let alone going self employed or becoming a business owner.

For those of you not familiar with Kiyosaki's work he talks about the Cash Flow Quadrant that has E's - Employees in the upper left, S's - Self Employed in the lower left then B's - Business Owners in the upper right and finally I's - Investors in the lower right. He makes the point that the difference between the left hand side and the right hand side is one of risk. The only way to get out of the 'rat race' is to cross to B and then to I this requires taking risks. This was a truly inspirational thought for me.

I have never been a corporation man even though I am relatively successful in my job - it's not who I am and I have always known this. What I needed was the push and this provided it. So I started to dabble in MLM I won't call it network marketing because it was too cheap for that term. They all failed because my Sponsors were more interested in what was in it for them and basically kept telling me to buy lists and keep emailing them. I knew something was wrong pretty soon and started to research further.

I came across the concept of attraction marketing which basically says if you behave and act like a Leader then people are attracted to you and will follow your advice. I purchased some basic products to test this out and the results were better than any other MLM I had used. However it was still commission based after a sale. What I was looking for was a quality product to market that I didn't have to pound the streets with and sell. This is what Kiyosaki calls moving into the B quadrant. Why? To be successful in the B quadrant you have to have excellent systems, training and invest in your personal development. He makes the Macdonalds analogy, they don’t make great hamburgers but they do make great systems for feeding people. He specifically mentions network marketing as an area he now regularly recommends as start up business's for employees as they bridge over. He quotes the fact they can be run from home, the online systems do all the paper work and require relatively little investment compared to bricks and mortar or franchises.

In conclusion I am convinced the only way to my financial freedom is via my network marketing business which will require hard work as I learn new skills but the rewards will far outweigh the sweat.

He regularly earns 6 figure sums and has trained thousands of entrepreneurs to date. He has said he is on a mission to create 100 millionaires. He works with his close friend Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring fame.

The reason I mention them is because when I read a copy their work it suddenly became obvious to me I had been going about my attempts to start an Internet Business all wrong. I had been fed the line by my previous sponsors of just get in as many prospects as possible and sell the, and ebook package. But somehow in the back of my mind I knew there was more to this. I was right and he was keeping quiet about how to actually market the products.

The new approach to Internet Network Marketing is going to be based on 'solution focused' approaches and in the burgeoning social networks.

Is the downline dead and are we looking at teams working for Super Sponsors with team members setiing their goals at different levels maybe not all wanting to be six figure earners but earning enough to be comfortable?

Thanks to Mike Dillard to opening my eyes and his theories providing the basis if this discussion.
