New Year's Day... Before and After!

Another year to come and I must say that I'm really looking forward! At the end of one year and in the beginning of another, I'm thinking about things I've done, goals I made, things I've learned... so in this new chapter of life I wish to make it even better, to be open to adventure, love, travel, work... all the things I know are good for me. Listen your intuition is one of the best advices I've been given.

Even though I don't look like a type of girl who enjoys heavy metal and classic rock, it's really fun to se surprise on people's faces when they found about it. Breaking stereotypes makes me happy! So, I shouldn't I or anybody else wear what they like and dream about what they want.

Getting that 'December fever'? Not yet? Me too... Weather is unusually worm, and I'm getting so much to work every day. Who said journalism is easy?? Well, I'm gonna tell you the truth. IT'S A HARD WORK! Hours and hours, shooting, writing, creating, something new, fresh, creative... and every day the same. But do I really like it? Well, it does have advantages, but you can really say goodbye to your private five and personal time. I'm still young and want to learn, so I hop into that train and see where will I end up. I guess I'll enjoy the ride.

Inspiration for 'not so Xmas' look

Christmas is really near but I'm not yet into Christmas mood... that's why I made these collages to get inspired with great details that could transform into little different holiday.

First block are nice suits with pastel colors and a touch of mustard yellow and bright blue. Pearl and ruffles are really festive and looks great for this season.The second ones is a combination of metal inspired outfits, studs, safety pins and zippers in a new charming way. And third one is pretty dark, sensual, mystic and totally adorable. Christmas is not reserved for red and green only, why not to try something different?

I'm a big fan of metallic shades. They offer us a great touch of pre-holiday atmosphere. Glitter is always a little bit festive and gives you that sparkle in your eyes.

StyleBOOK: Lady meets rock girl

I love to see changing seasons, and this Fall, colors are truly amazing. Deep yellows, reds and browns decorated the city and my back yard. I couldn't resist that beautiful scenery, so sister and I took some new shots.

I was inspired by lady like manners, in time when women very overdressed and gorgeous. It's mainly because I recently watched 'Midnight In Paris', movie of Woody Allen. In movie, main character wants to live in Paris in the decade called Belle Époque in the middle of 20's and 30's.

I love past times. They are really inspiring and we can learn a lot about life and what to do with our lives. That's why I combine vintage feeling, but adding a modern twist. I toned down my outfit my accessorizing vintage Escada skirt with plaid grungy shirt, and pantyhose with black back line with studded pumps. I added bag with fringes and scull scarf, for that edge.

When I first started to blog I followed great girls on internet, wathing their options and how they developed their personal style. Then, before two and a half years ago, I decided to take a shot and show my vision of style.

I still look up, almost in a daily basis, blogs of the girls around the world and these are my favorites. I'm always pleasantly surprised with their combinations, mixing styles, patterns and creative inspiration. Have you heard of them?

I thing Karla's Closet was one of the first I found online. This girl gave me courage to start my own thing too. I love how her style developed and how she mixes vintage charm in modern version.

Blog Advanced Style was a true creative and fascinating idea. I love to see older ladies how they dress up and their style combinations. When I saw them, even on the streets on my hometown, I'm always thinking how strange is our modern world that for them because they grow up in totally different time. This ladies are true inspiration to live our lives to our fullest.

Late Afternoon is another blogger with great sense of style. I really enjoy watching her combining different clothes and patterns all together, but she's always faithful to her personal style and vision. Really cute, fun and feminine.

I first started to read ...love Maegan because she had great ideas for DIY collection, that includes clothes and decorations. It's really fun to see how people are developing, sharing their personal life and thoughts to so many people they don't know. You'll never know who can you inspire...

P.S.-I Made This is fabulous blog with really practical and chick ideas. Really creative, really fun and affordable. She showed that every one of us can make something fun, inspired by high fashion or not, but something that you made. So why don't you show it?

Cro A Porter is the biggest fashion event in Croatia where designers from the region presents new collections for these seasons. I was the part of press crew so here's my view what was the best and who had great ideas and represented themselves in new light.

Here's photos and videos any my article in Croatian. If you dont understand you look up the photos and make a conclusion. Croatian top model Kristina Šalinović was there to. She absolutely lighten up every runaway she walked and every fashion show that she watched with that big smile.

Boris Pavlin

Boris Pavlin poznat je po svojim unikatnim haljinama koje plijene poglede. Uvukao nas je u čaroban svijek svoje priče o šumskim vilama, a zadnji dio triologije bio je prožet romantičnim haljinama u bež i smeđim tonovima. Poseban 'touch' bili su jelenji rogovi čija je potraga bila prava pustolovina.

Zoran Aragović

Drugu večer obilježile su otkačene kreacije Zorana Aragovića, koji vješto spaja romantične volane i korzete prožete punk stilom. Aragović je predstavio pomalo stripovsku kolekciju inspiriranu heroinama budućnosti. Nešto zanimljivo i svakako drugačije.

Hippy Garden

Hippy Garden predstavio se u ponešto drugačijom kolekciji, a barem na kratko zaboravio lepršave haljine. Đurđica Vorkapić je inspirirana geometrijskim linijama dizajnirala haljine koje prate liniju tijela, sprijeda su stroge i tamne, no straga otkrivaju svoju seksi stranu.

Andrea Bistričić

Zapažena revija bila je i ona mlade Andreje Bistričić koja je surađivala s Majom Merlić i predstavila rockersku kolekciju crno smeđih printeva. Posebno iznenađenje bile su resice na martensicama, kao i na drugim odjevnim komadima koje su dale na volumenu.

Zigman

Ipak vrhunac večeri bila je Zigmanova revija koju je otvorila Kristina Šalinović. Njegove seksi glamurozne i futurističke manekenke hipnotizirale su poglede iz publike, što nije nimalo iznenađujuće jer je predstavio čak 53 modela!

Tour de Paris

Paris really is city of lights! Beautiful little restaurants,art, museums, Moulin Rouge, cabarets, show, and most importantly, Fashion Shows! We had so much fun in Paris!

You really need at least a month to get known Paris. The city is huge and every day you can see something new. I especially liked Latin District and artistic Monmartre. Wetook a cruise along the Seine River and enjoyed the view at the Eiffel Tower. Enjoy my photos! J'taime Paris <3

Inspired by Pearl Jam

Last night I was on the premiere of the personal documentary movie about about one of the greatest American bands Pearl Jam. It was so pure, so inspiring... makes you think about your options, your dreams and how you can make changes in this world whatever you do.

Eddie Wedder and his every and voice, and all band are just group of great men that I would like hang out with. I think the message they're giving the world is really brave and I admire that. I want to be like them in my job, find the things that makes me happy and can make an positive impact on people I know and people I will meet in the future. Wow... it's just so deep that I'm under the influence of the greatest...

Fashion is a tool, an art. But I wouldn't be myself if haven't done it with style. And that's the lesion for all of us. Be yourself. Be free, but don't let your action hurt other people. Then will stop being free.
We need a revolution.

My very first designer shoes for D&G, retro style T pumps that I absolutely adore!

I know. I've been a bad blogger lately. But don't blame me, blame my job. I finally got couple days of, so I'm posting my favorite thing at the moment. I'm creating some new look so you can expect new Personal style posts, and tomorrow I'm going to see the premiere of documentary 'Pearl Jam Twenty', movie about one of my favorite bands so I'm really exited about that! And... I'm planing a trip to Paris in October, so fingers crossed that my plan will work!

These are my finds I'm using constantly:

I found great golden shade of nail polish (now I'm literally The Goldfinder Lady :)) and fabulous shade of sparkling red called 'Marilyn and Me'.

My daily make up; fundation, Benefit highlighter for dark circles around your eyes, mascara, jucy lipgloss, and I can't be without blush- This one is organic and natural- It gives you that fresh face glow any time!

L'Occitane products are one of my favorite ones! Green tea and jasmin followed me all summer, and bio organic carite butter from Melvita is the best I ever tried! You can apply it anywhere!

Gorgeous sweater from H&M is new in my closet. I love that shimmery silver!

One of my favorite pairs of sunglasses...

... great find in vintage store is this adorable squared handbag...

... and last... my jewelery presents from birthday; hand watch wast a gift from my girls, necklace from my best friend Iva (she got the silver one), and beautiful beads in different patterns from my mentor.

My friends often have questions about style and fashion for me. 'What's in? How I'm gonna wear it? What should I buy this season?'... but the truth is that you first need to find a style that you're comfortable in and to show of your best assets!

Ok, you might say that's pretty easy when your skinny but that's also not true. It doesn't matter how much you weigh if you know how to dress your body shape.

My +size friends (that's what the industry's calling full figured women in sizes 16+) have nothing to be ashamed of, especially when today they can find great plus size clothing.

So all of you full figured beauties, listen up! Dress up, take a deep breath and a pinch of confidence and you're ready to run the world! You go girl, you know who you are!

The Skin we're live in

Our everyday life has thoughts us to be thought. Stress level is higher, business is different, new technologies is growing really fast.... so it's great that we can find comfort in other skin. Fur, leopard, leather, snake skin... love it all! But, with a exception!

Use fake fur or second hand (there's enough for everybody), and skin (leather) is byproduct that would we thrown away and no animals are bred just for skin (well I hope not). Summer in park

Well, it's my weekend off so I like to spend it doing things I like. With couple of my friends, I went to see open air movie theater in the historic uptown part of Zagreb (it's called Gradec). It was so retro that I just needed teddy boy to kiss after and go dancing somewhere on the rock'n'roll devil's music! It was so good, and we watched Spanish movie 'Biutiful' with Javier Bardem. It a difficult story of surviving, criminal and good people.

Sunday I spent sleeping, reading new Elle and walking in the park. I take a moment and spent it sitting on bench and reading one of my favorite book called 'Sophie's World: A Novel about the History of Philosophy', a beautiful story about human history and philosophy through children's eyes. Because it is sooo hot outside, I choose to wear cotton jumpsuit that has Indian flavor, ornament, roses, turquoise color and beads-totally exotic mix!
