Why choose one when you can have them all. Demi is a talented young lady with a lot to offer. She is the next best thing to take the music world by storm. She is a triple threat. She is involved with acting modeling and music. Her first love is music. Music is the creative outlet that inspires her to keep going. She the girl grabbing the first piece of paper she can find to write down the next great feel good song. She is inspired by everyday life and sings of a very sincere story about love and life.

When did you first start getting involved with the entertainment industry?I would say around 3.

You’re a jack of all trades…how did you start acting?
As far as acting goes, I did off Broadway plays, mostly theater, my mom was involved in acting so she helped me along.

How about music?
As far as music goes, when I was little I always liked to sing…I didn’t get into it until 13...I got a karaoke machine and it was great....I put an ad out in myspace. .and Craig's about wanting to start making music..

Do you do anything else besides music and acting?
I do some modeling. Modeling started when I was younger as well. My mom put me in a runway competition and I won second place. I won a portfolio and a little photo shoot…I had a picture in a text book

If you had to choose one what would it be?
Music, music is my first love there is something about music that you can feel with modeling and acting you are really for fulfilling someone else's vision, with music I can fulfill my own

So would you say your moms a big influence?
She got me into everything but she never pushed me into it she just let me do what I want…she is very supportive.

What inspires you?
Everyday life, day to day everything that happens around me

Is it passion or pastime?
Passion definitely, my aim is not necessarily to be famous but to make good music

Do you write your own music?
Yes I have written all of my songs…most of everything I do is on my hand…I co-produced all of music

Your name is very unique does it have a meaning?
Demi! It does have a meaning we shall leave that a mystery.

What playing on your ipod lately?
Lady gaga

Where is your home town?
Queens New York…new jersey is where I currently live

Where do u want to be doing in 5 years?
I see myself being at a good place career wise hopefully that will be my job

At 18 years of age, Esther began her studies at FIT part-time while she operated three fashion boutiques. While she tackled that she also acted as a fashion Editor for Talent in Motion Magazine. For Talent in Motion she submitted monthly articles on fashion trends, reviews of fashion events as well as practical advice.

At FIT she studied fashion design, life drawing, fashion illustration, graphic design, sewing, draping and pattern making. Esther admits she owes a lot of her perseverance and talents to her mother. Her mother was an honors graduate from Brooklyn College and holds a Masters in Fine Arts. She also worked many years as a NYC Public High School Art Teacher.

Within those 6 years she has also held the title of fashion editor for the Improper Hamptonian Magazine which has a distribution totaling 250,000 subscribers. Besides these achievements her designs have also been featured on the HBO series "Sex in the City", is presently an IKON model Celebrity designer, Fashion Host, Commentator and model, and also showcased her 2008 Fashion Collection at Eli Klien Fine Art in Soho.

Can you tell us what have been up to lately?
I am working on my new line to be presented April 12, 2009 during BK fashion weekend. I am also starting my outline for a book on fashion. Which should be exciting. In addition to that I putting together a business plan and soon traveling to South America,

How was NY fashion week?
It was a great season. The looks are definitely influenced by the recession. Less zippers more luxury fabrics and embroidery along with ethnic styles and colors. As well as a return to the 80's and women in corporate America.

What plans do you have in the near future?
Attending Fashion week in Miami in July. Presenting a new line at the St. Charles Fashion week in September. I will be a fashion host for EXO- TV and am starting a hair accessory line.

Where can people purchase your designs?
Online at www.esthernash.com or at the Allan and Suzi Boutique, 416 Amsterdam Avenue.

What kind of advice would you give to a novice in this industry?
Persevere, stay focused, learn to accept constructive criticism, be disciplined and dedicated, and do not be afraid of sacrificing in exchange for pursuing your dreams.

Hire a good publicist, like Miami Fancy girl and NY socialite Shelly Nash and you may have a chance. Not only is she a really GOOD lawyer but she is a great connector. Events are created and executed in less than half the time and with 1/4 of the budget. Of course there is a waiting list and I have her on an exclusive non-compete contract.

Do you believe it is a very difficult field to pursue?
Fashion Design is one of the hardest professions in the art world. It is not for the weak of spirit or the faint of heart. You have to have nerves of steel. If you are not talented you will not make it. A professional artist knows that it has to be a way of life not just a 9-5 job.

What kind of preparation is needed to be a success in this field?
Extensive years of training in all areas and mediums of Art education and business.

How many years have you dedicated to this business?
I have been in this business since I am five years old, so I hope that gives you an idea. I work 24/7, every conversation I have is about my craft.

What is more difficult modeling or fashion?
I would say both are difficult, as a fashion designer and a model I have double the stress and absolutely no free time. Sleeping is a treat, a luxury that I do not have at this time.

Do you believe formal training is a must?
Absolutely! To be a professional fashion designer, formal training is a must.

Lastly, how do you stay looking so gorgeous? What is your secret?
My secrets to remaining gorgeous are following a vegetarian diet, no alcohol, no illegal drugs, no smoking. Exercise daily; drink plenty of water with lemon. Always moisturize my face and body seven days a week.

Yoga helps, along with plenty of speed walking, no TV only live theater and comedy shows when possible. I like to engage in young activities like ice skating and attending the circus on my birthday, it keeps me feeling 7 years old.

I also have a big sister who always makes me feel like the baby. Shelly really helps me by filling in all the gaps, she is six professionals rolled into one and she is still skinny

Brooklyn Museum "Target First Saturday” is the cornucopia of diversity and culture. Upon walking in you just get this feel good feeling. The atmosphere feels free and the first thing I wanted to do was kick off my shoes and start dancing. Music is playing by the live band. Young and old a like are all appreciating the classic feeling of the music. You appreciate the smiles on the faces of everyone because in today's times it seems as though smiles are in rare form. The first thing you notice is the diversity. It was a combination of all ages all backgrounds enjoying themselves in the culture that surrounds them. I had the opportunity to make small talk with some of the people who attended and it was nothing but pleasant. The conversation was inspiring and warming. It was as if we were all there to feed our souls for a little while and store enough to walk back into the New York air. The event was free and that must be appreciated. It is very difficult to find anything free in New York let alone something that I guarantee you will enjoy. There was a small food selection and as far as beverages go there was wine, beer, soda and water. There was floor upon floor of great things to get into. You could dance, listen to some poetry, or just take in the ambience of everything. The event is held every first Saturday of the month and I would recommended this event to anyone of any age, race, or creed…it was great!

Walking down the street is even more fun when you know who you are. Some people spend there entire lives walking past others and envying there being .The morning seems so calming, it's almost like all the evil has to turn its head just for a few hours until the sun bids its fare wells and then the party begins. For some this party never ends and when the night comes it is only the tip of the ice berg. The precedence is simply, their names are Night and Day. You see Night is the kind of girl who owns her shit. She knows it and so does everyone around her. She has a particular aura that surrounds her that makes one ask, who might that be?

Her dear friend Day, she is quite different. She holds a different vibe. She is a little more reserved and in some aspects can get lost in the shadows. Don't get me wrong she stands out of the crowd as well but what she holds is the ability to say so much without saying a word. Opposites attract I suppose because they are tighter than jeans fresh out of the dryer. Both of them were submerged in vibrant colors and spirit but the world doesn’t t know how to combine the light with the dark. From the outside they were punks, beautiful alluring punks, but on the inside they held something more. They themselves did not see that there friendship would be there greatest downfall because both were competing for the same crown.

There can only be one queen of this fashion world because a queen needs subjects. Young Night didn't know it but before her very eyes things would change. They wouldn’t change like minutes but more like seasons. Night recognized Day as a threat all along. She was waiting for the opportunity to just overcome her identity and make it her own. In a society where who you are is where you are, she needed to be on top. Given the fact that they were both on top one had to go. The very essence when they would walk into a room would stir up that kind of fascination conversation, the sort of conversation that only starts when something is worth noticing. Night stood under the no smoking sign of the club and lit her cig. With Day by her side she calmly suggests that’s not the best idea but at this point it didn’t matter because the spot light was on them.

Night loved Day but she also envied the mystery in her face. Night couldn’t help herself, she had no filter to her thoughts and often found herself in sticky situations because at times it was a turn off. The one thing they both had in common was Dusk. He was beautiful. He brought a presence that calmed and reminded you that the future was here and here to stay. He said the right things and he was so cool that it was undeniable. The problem with human nature is we constantly are wanting and often never satisfied. They shared him, neither one knowing the power in which he held to break apart love in the process of trying to find it. During the morning hours , he would take Day in his arms and remind her why she was so wonderful. He would kiss her finger tips and tell her they were his little rays of sunshine. However when the evening would come Night was there. He would take her and run away into a place many find unbearable. He would take her to a place where demons could hit them both and they would not be phased. They were in love: Day, Night ,Dusk. They were in love with one another. The problem was that together none of them existed but alone they couldn't survive. When Day and Night discovered they were both in love with Dusk, everything was forced to change.

Take one cool dude, mix that with a real personality and a passion for getting things hype, and you have a man named Vinsane. Question: Who is Vinsane? Answer: the next great MC. The best part of this story is that he is right in our backyard. He started in Long Islands own Kings Park .The first element of this equation is the love of music. Without love you have no purpose but when you put that love first everything else just seems to fall into place. Vinsane always loved music but he didn’t start his journey intentionally .He attended Suffolk community college and played baseball for them as well. While playing baseball he made a friend who was already a DJ. He started making a name for himself as being a hype man and quickly became one of the sickest around. The best part about being real at what you do is that you don't have to tell anyone because it speaks for its self. Vinsane is a real cool dude with a approachable style that made it easy to see why he was loved so fast. I had the opportunity to sit down with Vinsane and talk about where he will be in the next 5 years and I must say I want to be along for the ride.

So did you grow up on long island?
Yea Kings Park but I lived it Brooklyn first and moved when I was 2.

So what was your muse for music?
It was definitely my parents; they always kept up with the music that was hot at the time.

So how did they react when you told them that being a MC was something you were serious about?
My parents always supported me ….you knows my mom brags about me now…

So how did this all begin?
Well I graduated from high school and went to Suffolk Community College… I played baseball and had a friend who was a DJ

So was being a DJ something you thought about doing?
I started doing parties at stony brook and local bars and parties.

So how did your name start getting up?
Promoters started hearing about me and I made a lot of friends.

How old were you?
I was19 and I started doing venues for myself.

Who would you say are some of your greatest influences?
DJ Kool, Fat Man Scoop, and DJ AM

What kind of music do you like?
I like all kind of music but mostly hip hop

Do you work outside of being an MC?
I work at "Rockabilly" in East North Port, as a barber...But before I worked there I worked in "Ace of Fades" in Bay Shore NY. Both shops play different but great music so I am surrounded by it all day.

So personal, are you single?
No, I'm not

What's your favorite club that you have worked for?
I would say Whitehouse…Vie got to do a lot of great work there

What can we look forward from you in the future?
I actually hosted an event with Mims in the Hamptons, March 28, 2009. Another project is I’m going to start producing Mixtapes. Also look out for my upcoming events, I’m hosting an event @ Stony Brook University: May 09, 2009, and The First Annual Life Fest @ Oneonta State College April 18, 2009. And look out for me on the MTV show called “Silent Library” airing in June.

So what can we look for as far as music goes from you?
I am actually having a mix tape coming out soon called Radio Ruckus vol. 1

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Well I wouldn’t mind being on MTV or something like that.
I know I want to be on top and that I am going to keep going.

I started singing and dancing at the age of 3 and songwriting when I was 7. I interned at Billboard Magazine while in college. My first single, Reincarnation was singed to Miswax records in 2007.

Briefly explain how you/you'll begin?
I began singing at age 7 In School, The Church, and Local Talent Shows. My Aunt & My Sister would sing around me all the time so I would try to sing the way they would but in private and after a while my mom started to allow me to go to the studio and I would be writing all of my own music and from there its just been a growing process and I’m 19 now, so it's really been a while now!

What types of influences did you have?
Well Brandy is my all time favorite singer, She does it for me so when I’m listening to her I listen for harmonies and layering of vocals , And I'm also a songwriter so when it comes to writing I look to writers such as James Fauntleroy , Tricky Stewart, Diane Warren and the list goes on. I love Pop Music & Even Country music! Country music really tells a story and it puts you in the situation of the artist, so I would really say I’m inspired by all forms of music and everyday events.

What's Next? What can we expect from you/you'll in the future?
A single is being chosen right now and I’m constantly recording so stay tuned for more music, new pictures and you'll soon get to hear my writing on others artist. Ever notice that all fashion comes and goes in a continous circle. whats in today may be out tommorrow but, it will come back in season a few years down the road. If you were to look at pics of what was hot back in our parents' or even grandparents' days, alot may look familiar. Spandex tights have come back into style as well as the new wave of the emu and retro punk style. Same fashion different generation. If you are of liberty to go through your parents closet of old stuff that they havent worn in years you may find some great gems if you look hard enough. You may rear finds of things that cannot be purchased today and be the envy of all your friends. So stay fly and keep this in mind when you are planning on giving away that old outfit to charity or to your siblings, you may just be giving away next years' "IT" item.

What’s makes you different from the rest…
I am an Up and Coming R&B artist that isn't afraid to express myself through music.... I feel like I'm different because I'm willing to take my music anywhere, I'm not confined to one style of music. I think I'm different from a lot of artist because I understand that its about longevity and being able to stay relevant.....that's what makes me different...lol

Where are you from…
I'm from long Island, NY
And imma rep it cause a lot of artist that come from L.I. Don't!!! So I feel like its my responsibility too..

How did it all begin…
For me it all began with a strong passion for music and wanting to be what my father never had the chance to finish becoming... My father was a singer, also and his life was cut short only two years after I was born so I'm fulfilling his dream and mine... Michael Jackson also had a great impact too tho(lol)! When I first saw him perform, I was like yeah this is what I'm supposed to be doing… "The way he moved people with his music was crazy and I wanted to reach people like that".

What were your influences…
My father was my biggest influence (R.I.P.) but other then him.... Stevie Wonder, David Ruffin, Otis Redding, Michael Jackson, Sam Cook, Al Green, R-Kelly, and Babyface… Those are just some of many influences!

What’s next for you…
Well right now I'm in the studio all the time making good music for all my followers and doing shows… After I'm 100% satisfied with my album, I'll be dropping that and shopping my music around to labels... also I would love to start writing songs for more artist and just become more creative!

How did it all begin…
Marwa was raised in a strict, Muslim environment. Among many other things, music was forbidden, but it was impossible to avoid. Upon hearing it for the first time, she fell in love with it. At every opportunity she received, music was playing in her ears. Artists like Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, and Mary J. Blige were what inspired her to spend many nights dreaming of singing. Music became a form of therapy for the young artist and she began writing songs at the age of nine. Growing up with an abusive father and such a strict religion, it was difficult to follow any dreams regarding the music industry. At age 14 became the battle of her lifetime…the fight for freedom. After running way, getting locked up, and struggling to make ends meet, she managed to form a stable enough environment to somewhat pursue her goals. Throughout her childhood, the only thing that kept the young artist alive was the dream of one day becoming a singer and songwriter. Today, she is pursuing her goal at full force. With over 100 songs written, a voice filled with soul and definition, and the drive of Muhammad Ali., she is more than an artist, she is a movement.
Whatever opportunity comes, whether through music or fashion, I take it and roll with it.

What were your influences…
I used to listen to a lot of Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, and Oldies like the Jackson Five and the Temptations.
What’s next for you…
You can expect more songs and more originality.

Walking into Sneaker Bistro is a delicious experience. Food network is playing on the flat screen on the wall that is surrounded with many tasty little things called sneakers. We are not talking about just another sneaker store, we are talking about thee sneaker store. The entire concept of Sneaker Bistro, which is located on 112 in Patchogue, New York, is to serve up the freshest kicks that you won’t find in your mass produced sneaker store. From the hand painted graffiti on the wall to the smile you get from some of the coolest people a person could meet upon entering, this store is a breath of fresh air. A table is set up, which at first glace looks like two bowls of spaghetti, some wine glasses, and silver ware. However a closer look will reveal crisp cream and red laces looking good enough to eat. The entire theme of serving up sneakers is so elegantly presented that the creativity in undeniable. From the menu business cards to the culture that is in the atmosphere, I almost wish I could order a nice glass of red wine to go with my new five star sneakers.

With every great idea is the mind that was inspired to make that idea come to life. The owner of Sneaker Bistro, Joe "MR. BISTRO", is the true example of what it means to work hard for something you love. They say find something you would do for free and you will never work a day in your life. This concept hold so true for him. He worked as a crane operator for 12 years but always had a passion and was an avid collector of sneakers. One day he decided to follow that passion and start his own journey in being the supplier to feed sneaker heads appetites the same way his hunger needed to be fulfilled. His passion and knowledge of sneakers and the history they hold is undeniable. To the non sneaker head it’s almost walking into a world that at a glance may seem ordinary but the stories and history behind the sole make it so far from it. It amazed me on how much detail he knew and the facts rolled off his tongue so smooth that it was evident that this was not just another store owner, but a man who gave birth to a beautiful baby and intended to watch it grow with a reputation that surpasses the competition. Just like a father, he knew every detail there was to know and didn’t leave one shoe unturned. I also have to give praise to his team that he has working for him, they were nothing less than great to be around and when you walk in you just feel good. ONEWAY|2 had the opportunity to sit down with Joe and talk about this sneaker wonderland.

So who came up with the concept of Sneaker Bistro...
The idea came when I thought about how people look for places to eat. They want good food
and good quality and that is what I wanted to give but, with great sneakers.

Who did the graffiti on the wall…it looks great...
His name is Cycle…he is one of the best guys out there right
now.

Every company has a mission…What’s yours...
Our mission is to spread the knowledge of sneakers like a person would know their fine wines.

There are a million sneaker stores in the world ….what makes you different...
It is a flooded industry however we are serving up the freshest kicks with 5 star service and
that what makes us different.

What brought you to this location...
I know a lot of people around here this is my hometown….I made a decision to destroy the fakes and put my hometown on the map.

Is there any other locations...
No, but you can go on the website.

Can people buy your sneakers online...
No, there is no online store….phone orders are an option, but I really do care about Long Island and want people around here to have the opportunity to get great shoes first.

I love the idea of bistro, what feedback have you gotten from the idea...
It’s funny because a little old lady walked in and asked to see a menu.

How is the recession hurting you...
I think that it is hurting everyone….we are just taking it one day at time…sneaker heads are going to continue to get sneakers .It might not be four of their favorites at one time, but take time to select what they really can’t live without.

So what about pricing...
I take trips out to SoHo and I’ll walk into a store see some of these shoes so over retail…its like come on I won’t even buy them….I am fair in what I do because I love sneakers too so I keep my prices at a fair rate and don’t just hike it up because I can.

So what more can we expect from sneaker bistro...
We are actually expanding in spring of 09 and its going be a bigger layout with the same great flavor.

How did it all begin…
ANatural was born Joseph Boykin in Kings County hospital in Brooklyn and raised in Sethlow Projects better known as "The Ville". He had a real tough time growing up with his parents so he moved out of Sethlow Projects into Polo Grounds (Harlem) when he was 10 yr old. His grandmother took him in and raised him during his adolescence. After his grandmother passed away due to lung cancer, he was taken-in by his Great grandmother until he moved out at the age of 21. ANatural always had a love for writing. While watching Boot Camp and Wu Tang Klan perform at Sethlow Projects when he was 8 yrs old, ANatural was amazed at how an artist can move people with words and that sparked an interest to began writing. Because of his parents absence while growing up, ANatural got into constant fights and got kicked out of school. He did what he had to for survival and to help put food on the table. ANatural went back to school where he met Scott Man; a talented music teacher, who heard him rhyme and helped record his first track. Scott landed his first radio commercial while he was in high school. ANatural teamed up with CriticalChild Productions and went on to record many tracks in hope of a recording contract. They recorded at Bang Studio (N.Y); Squad Studio (N.Y) and Mystic Studio in (S.I.). He was later offered a publishing deal, which fell through due to bad management. He decided to move to New Jersey with friend and manager, Bim Star. They both had aspirations to be successful and put their talents together to start a clothing line, Aremu Premier Couture©. With the grind of working the regular 9 - 5 in order to help fund Aremu Premier Couture, ANatural got sick of just getting by. During this time Hip Hop was changing and he had some complaints regarding the way it was being portrayed. He felt that there was a lack of vision in Hip Hop music. His Manager, Bim Star said "Don't complain, do something about it". And that is what you should expect from ANatural. A musician who knows what “grind” means and a rapper who will show what vision can do for Hip Hop. Stay Tuned…

What were your influences…
I have many influences. From Jazz to Rock & from Electro to Pop. I have been blessed to be exposed to music from a very young age because my father was a DJ when I grew up and there always seem to be a party at my house. Right now I am digging the Lounge/Electronic movement that is called Cielo with resident DJs, Nicolas Matar & Willie Graff. I am also listening to a lot of 90s Hip Hop right now to.

What’s next for you…
Right now I am just putting out music and building my base up. I plan to drop an EP next year and a couple of mix tapes. I also am working with promoters to do shows across the country and internationally. In ’09, ya going to ask about me ya heard.
