Thought you may like to see additional work I am doing now. The brown paper charcoal drawing is part of the studio process which helps an artist determine if he has an acceptable value pattern and composition. I have a long way yet to go on the painting, this type of work is very representational and each area must be as true to color value and form so it is a long process. There is much to be learned through this kind of training. I am thankful for the the wise guidance of my art teacher!<br />

I am pleased that another of my small paintings sold, it was posted with a pay pal button<a href="http://sandragalda.blogspot.com/2010/08/jar-of-daisy.html"> <span style="color: red;">here</span> </a>on my blog originally. It was recently hanging in a holiday small works show in the <a href="http://www.newburyportart.org/index.php"><span style="color: red;">Newburyport Art Association</span>.</a> the show has a two painting limit for each participating artist. I entered it along with a small painting shown below involving a pig....which will hang in the gallery for the duration of the show unless it too sells. If you live locally, you can see my work in person at the gallery. I can keep replacing any sold small works with fresh ones till the show is over. There are many very nice small paintings by the Newburyport Art Association artists in the gallery for the holiday show.<br />

The past month or so has been very busy and I have not been producing small daily works to post. Instead, here is some of the artwork I have been doing. I am working on a still life following and learning the process taught at Ingbretson studios, it takes much longer. I painted the small landscape sketch (riverscape?) a couple weeks ago. It was an outdoor painting day at the studio, many of the students participated and we had beautiful weather. I took a good picture of it with my camera, maybe I will finish it someday. <br />

I am very happy this painting I completed last summer (2010) was just juried into a show at <a href="http://www.guildofbostonartists.org/"><span style="color: #ea9999;">The Guild of Boston Artists</span></a>, I delivered it to the gallery yesterday! The<a href="http://www.blogger.com/goog_980252733" style="color: black;"> </a>show, the Annual Regional Painting Competition for non-artist members, ( I am only a student member); runs October 1 - 23, 2011. I feel the excellent training offered with Paul Ingbretson at his studios, <a href="http://studio.ingbretson.com/"><span style="color: #e06666;">Ingbretson Studios</span></a>, is helping me to produce much better art. I have been super busy repainting walls in our home and tackling redecorating projects...so have not painted many small images in the last month or so. Here are two paintings I delivered to a show at the Newburyport Art Association last week. Ham and Eggs II and "Oil Sketch: Figure" They are now both framed in beautiful Hackman frames while hanging in this gallery (their price while in this show reflects framing cost and gallery fee).
