How to Install Linux ClearOS

You want to have a cafe servers that are reliable and powerful but you can not set linux at all?

Do not rush to surrender or switch to a "windows"

Wear ClearOS Linux Enterprise Server with the following features:
Open Source License (so definitely legal and kosher)
Router feature
Proxy server
Bandwidth Manager / QoS
MultiWAN / Load balancer + Fail Over
DHCP Server
Etc.

All functions that you can easily install and apply, even if you is not never to linux. You'll be a pro in a heartbeat.
Prove yourself!

I created this tutorial step-by-step to make it easier and I go to install the server in the cafe. The functions and features I adjust to the situation in the cafe, it can also be applied to SOHO or school computer lab.

Okey .. in fact so many tricks tweeking windows in the forums on the internet, hundreds of ways and methods, but this recipe I'm trying to give some results concoction of a little trick / tip tweeking win XP that can be used in client cafe / game online.

Previously, please read the terms and conditions, remember, I am not responsible for any disruption and damage due to the use of tips / tricks that I wrote, the term is used also used, but if you dare to protest, was told the above already!?

TERMS and CONDITIONS

Tips & tricks applies to win XP, for another OS, please adjust itself.
In the case of tweeking the registry, use regedit program, so please learn first how how life, particularly in the manufacture of Key, String, DWORD, Nanya etc-ask how to use regedit on this post is strictly prohibited!

A. TIP ...!

Install the programs that are important and useful in accordance with client functions cafe / game online, use the free software and legal nature such as:
Openoffice, Adobe Reader, 7zip, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, WinAmp, Yahoo Messenger, XnView, IRC, K-lite Megacodecs / Media Player Classic etc.
Do not forget instalkan Adobe's Flash Player plugin
Antivirus one wrote, and do not forget to turn off the auto update feature.
Delete the default programs that are not useful win

Maybe this post many people know, but this post just answered the question a friend who would install the fonts on your computer / notebook hers, but do not know how to include fonts that will install it. Now you can follow the steps as follows :

Step 1 Download your favourite free fonts.
Step 2 Unzip the font file.
Step 3 Copy the .ttf, .otf or .fon extension file.
Step 4 Paste them in your computer's font folder.

How to install fonts unders Os Windows :

C:\Windows\Fonts or C:\Windows\Fonts
(can be reached as well by the Start Menu > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Fonts).

How to install fonts unders Mac OS X :

/Library/Fonts (for all users),
or /Users/Your_username/Library/Fonts (for you only).
If your OS includes the Font Book, you can as well double-click on a font file, then a preview pops with an "Install font" button.

How to install fonts unders Os Linux :

Copy the font files (.ttf or .otf) to fonts:/// in the File manager.

What makes us comfortable and fun to use facebook one of them is a feature wall, where we can write our hearts content or just a mild comment on the wall the other person or otherwise, but what if you suddenly can not write on the wall the other people and other people can not write on our wall ?

If other people can not write on our wall, we must first check the settings of the Profile Privacy us, who knows we inadvertently have to Turn Off the wall profile function we thus make people can not write a comment on the wall. Access way into the Settings menu on Privacy Settings and click Profile, then search for Wall post, make sure you give the checklist on the "Friends may post to my Wall" and determine who can write on your Wall.

5 FaceBook Source Code Secrets

I glanced over the Facebook source code for both index and search pages. As an enterprise developer of some experience, source code is always interesting to me as it provides an insight into the health of a company. The interesting highlights of the Facebook code are :

1. Facebook writes pretty clean code & maintains coding standards. The code is readable.

2. To Facebook coder: Calling a function to do the magic isn't an example of clean code; in response to Facebook coders comment - "Holy shit, is this the cleanest fucking frontend file you've ever seen"

3. Facebook doesn't do MVC. There isn't any separation of concerns as far as I could see. It is also not a designer's job. It is created by developers with tons of procedural PHP code.

4. Facebook also doesn't do much object oriented coding either, at least it wasn't apparent from these source files. It is plain and simple procedural code.

5. Facebook uses templates which is nice.

It does some interesting stuff with advertising, specifically estimates the length of page and attributes to determine advertisements to show. There are few interesting ideas here.

Did you expect more? There isn't much more really, take a look yourself. I wonder if MySpace's code is as clean.

How to backup Google Docs and Spreadsheets ?

As someone who usually work on three different PCs and a laptop, i find Google Docs and Spreadsheets very convenient, due to the fact i can access my documents from each of my computers.

As time went by, i started to accumulate lots of docs and spreadsheets in my Google account, and i asked myself how should i backup them. I knew i could open each and every document and just save it as a Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word document, as well as a PDF document, but i was looking for a more powerful method.

I searched a bit and found a nice Greasemonkey script that helped me to accomplish my task. Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox addin that lets you modify the way your Firefox pages look and run. Note that Greasemonkey scripts work only with Firefox, so if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you will need to Install Firefox before moving forward.

So here’s what you should do in order to backup your Google docs and Spreadsheets :

1. Open your Firefox browser.
2. In case Greasemonkey is not installed, Download it and install.
3. Download and Install the Google Docs backup script. Note that the script is written in JavaScript, and your browser security settings might deny its install.
4. Open Google Docs and Spreadsheets. You’ll notice a new download link available:>
5. Select the format in which you want to backup your documents and spreadsheets (MS Office, Txt, CSV, PDF or Open office).
6. Mark the documents or spreadsheets you want to backup by filling the checkbox located to their left.
7. Click Download
8. Click the documents or spreadsheets you would like to backup. The following dialog will appear:

9. Choose Save to Disk and click OK.

10. The document will be downloaded to your default Firefox download. From here, you can copy your files to your preferred backup location or to a backup device.

Important Note: In case you would like to make a mass download, i recommend that you use the Google Docs backup script in conjunction with DownThemAll (a nifty Greasemonkey script that allows you to download all links from a web page to your disk). In case you have DownThemAll installed, you can use it in step 6 to download all documents and spreadsheets you selected in one shot. Cool!

While answering a few questions over at Yahoo Answers, I came across a considerable number of Facebook users who are looking for ways to accomplish one of the coolest Facebook tricks : to modify their profile layout. Unlike MySpace, Facebook doesn’t allow you to insert custom html codes to modify your profile. This is one of the features that makes Facebook so unique. Everyone has the same looking page pretty much which lowers loading times and is much easier to use and navigate.

Nevertheless, if you use Firefox as your web browser if not i strongly recommend you to download and start using it, you can leverage Greasemonkey and other custom JavaScript Facebook scripts in order to modify the color scheme of your Facebook layout. Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox addin that lets you modify the way your Firefox pages look and run.

After you install Firefox and Greasemonkey, you can leverage the Facebook Auto Colorizer script, in order to have your profile color scheme changing based on your photo.

Please note that this hack will work only on PCs which have either Firefox, Greasemonkey and the Auto-Colorizer script installed, and won’t work when accessing Facebook through Internet Explorer.

I have addressed this issue in my post on how to modify your (Facebook background colors). One of Facebook’s key features is the uniformly clean and non cluttered UI that makes the application easy on the eye, and thus, i believe that chances we will be able to customize the background layout color scheme of our Facebook is low. What we can do, is to leverage Mozilla Firefox, Greasemonkey and the Facebook Auto-Colorizer script in order to display custom backgrounds for all Facebook profiles and photo albums we browse. The pages color scheme is built dynamically in order to match the photos displayed in the page.

Important note: This trick will only work only when you access Facebook from a Mozilla Firefox browser with Greasemonkey and the Auto-Colorizer scripts installed.

How To Schedule Disk Cleanup To Run Automatically in Windows XP

This guide will show you how to make Disk Cleanup a Scheduled Task in Windows XP.
First we have to establish the parameters you want Disk Cleanup to use:
Go to Start > Run > type cleanmgr /sageset:50 . Ensure there is a space between cleanmgr and / > click OK.

In the resulting screen, choose your options by checking the boxes. I choose all but the bottom two.

Now let's verify we've done this correctly.

Hack Adobe Acrobat Reader without Plug_ins

This time I will share about the Adobe Acrobat Reader software, most of us would prefer to choose to use Foxit Reader software instead of using the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. More and more problems with viruses and spyware, which is always on the computer we used, after a few days not online because of the computer that I can use with the virus and there are also other so busy that had not so for the blog and also the computer that can I use. So I have not had time to identify the types of viruses and spyware that are lodged on the computer that I can use to make the event blog, just know this I personally have not so anyone can use this computer.

Lately a lot of cases about Speedy who often hangs or disconnect itself when used for browsing. Certain period of time but that does not often occur in about 20 minutes. Actually the case has been going, so I do not take issue with a headache like that. But as of late has been the case of popularity would grow again forced me not posting.

In fact I was not actually know what it's going. After asking some friends to the location of the problem appeared to be on the registry must be changed even there we should also delete. There are two ways to overcome things like that, this way :

1. By using a Registry Path, but how this should be avoided if your computer more than one (in the sense of sharing a network / network is used) for use with the way this will cripple the system on the network that result in your computer you can not retrieve the data for sharing of computer with each other.
2. With the change in your registy manually in this way is very safe and not at risk. Do the following :

* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\NetBT\Parameters -> TransportBindName -> remove the string. How to remove the name TransportBindName right click and hold the menu select delete.

After following the steps No.2 Pc or Notebook should restart in the first before you use the internet.

When you have cases such as above you please try the above is how I try all the way and the path manually.

This time I will share experience on Windows Xp, surely most of us often forget about the Auto Security Updates. In fact we do not need to run the auto update Windows especially if we are not original. Why am I posting about a problem auto security update this time, because many cases that often and I had with the friend does not disable Security often at the time of our internet connection we surely Windows will ask for Updates Automatically when it is not accidental and will exit warning Windows Genuine means we will request to reactivate online and how we are when Windows is not genuine? This tool will also remove the files archived after Windows Vista SP1 has implemented. * Click Start, Run and type CMD
* Type tasklist /SVC> c:\ taskList.txt

TaskList.txt generated contains a list of process, process ID, and their services are running under each process.

Note : The command Tasklist.exe does not apply in Windows XP Home Edition. But you need not worry, you still can use Process Explorer to see this information.

WARNING : There are usually a virus circulating on the internet using the same name is svchost.exe. Legit svchost.exe will be present in every% windir% \ system32 folder.
