In addition, bodybuilding and dietary supplements are often used to maintain/improve health and wellness. These products are commonly referred to as a food or nutritional supplements, and are intended to replentish lost or missing nutrients; such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, and amino acids.

In the case of bodybuilding, a work out increases the participant's metabolism; and the body's consumption of amino acids. During this time, valuable protein is broken down, and must be quickly replaced; to avoid a negative amino acid balance. Not utilizing the proper supplements to replace lost protein and amino acids in the body; will encourages the loss of prior and future results.

Dependable supplement providers, such as Bio-Engineered Supplements and Nutrition (BSN) , conduct ongoing scientific research, to develop innovative products; that address a competitive athlete's evolving needs. AVPT Multi-Action Matrix, for example, was developed and introduced to the BSN Core Series supplements (N.O. -Xplode, Nitrix and CellMass); to dramatically improve their ergogenic effectiveness. The innovative combination of amino acids, co-operative creatine analogs and vital muscle growth bio-factors; have been designed to scientifically enhance and further support an athlete's:

1.energy production
2.transportation of valuable nutrients to muscles
3.increase of strength
4.increased performance
5.improved recovery

Scientific research has charted hundreds of metabolic pathways; throughout the human body. Supplement providers, endeavor to effectively utilize these established passages, to delivery reliable bodybuilding and weight loss products; that increase performance, improve results and promote a speedy recovery. Common exercise and competetive sport supplements include: creatine, glutamine, protein and multi-vitamins.

When shopping for nutritional, bodybuilding or weight loss supplements, consumers should be cautious of outrageous claims; and marketing hype. Supplement should be chosen, based on a consumer's specific exercise or competetive sport needs; and nutritional requirements. Motivated shoppers, are strongly advised to consider any customer feedback and product reviews available, before commiting to a supplement purchase; as participant results are often unique, not general.
It is your time now to know the way forward and adopt the proper approach of incapacitating your performance on cable exercise for successful bodybuilding. Many people fail in bodybuilding just because they do not know of the possible mistakes they could be committing and this is the high time to realize them and rectify them before it is too late. Cable exercises are part of the most misunderstood approaches and this article sheds some light on the use of cable exercises in general.

If you were to perform a set or probably some lateral raises, chances are that, you would directly head to the common dumbbells. This is because, for the free weight workouts, they have been using dumbbells and barbells and they remain as the entire backbone of any training routines which is geared towards muscle building. The formula has always been passed and proven effective over many years since bodybuilding training were brought into the lime light. But, it is very clear that, all those exercises, which use the barbell as the main tool of performance, could as well be effective when done using a cable. So, the question remains, are there advantages of these cable exercises in comparison to the free weight?

There are some exercises which use cable system in their performance, and they have many attachments from which one can choose from in altering the grip when exercising, therefore making the variety of choice to be further enhanced. Take the example of the seated cable row, the exercise is usually performed using a wide bar, row bar, short bar, rope attachment, or even some single handles to enable the performance to be unilateral in movement. The free weight row on the other hand, can be performed using quit a variety of holding grips, the nature way of executing the respective row seated, all because of the use of a cable system. It allows one to have a greater form in the process of these subsequent variations. Range of motion in the performance of different exercises can be enhanced eventually, for instance, through the use of a rope attachment.

In addition, the relative muscle resistance differs greatly when using dumbbell exercises as compared to the use of cable exercises. A cable curl and a barbell curl could be used as examples since they cause variations in their respective relative resistance to the respective biceps on a full motion range. The resistance from a barbell curls results from a gravitational pull of the used barbell when pulled towards the floor. The relative resistance therefore increases to the point where the arm adopts a 90 degree bend, and it is at this point where the biceps resistance reaches the peak. The relative resistance decreases as the barbell goes beyond the 90 degrees and moves towards the shoulders level. All these should be maintained and proper balance enhanced to avoid shoulder dislocation.
Your ability to increase your body muscles solely depends with the type of nutrition you are taking. The nutrition you take will also determine whether or not you will be able to achieve your goals as a bodybuilder. Your nutritional plan should be very different from the diet of an ordinary person. This is because as a bodybuilder your body requires a lot of nutrients and power to sustain the intense training in the gym.

There have been various articles written on various foods such as carbohydrates and proteins, but rarely do you find an article which talks about vitamins. This article will shed some light on important vitamins which should be in every bodybuilder's diet. They include;

1. Niacin (vitamin B3) This vitamin is very important for a bodybuilder because it enhances many metabolic processes which generate energy. Therefore for a bodybuilder this vitamin is very important because it helps fuel the body. Nicotine acid is a form of niacin and is usually causes vasodilation which makes a competitor look more muscular.

2. Vitamin D The benefits of this vitamin cannot be overemphasized, vitamin D enhances the absorption of both calcium and phosphorous. Calcium plays a role in muscle contraction and if they are not in plenty a bodybuilder can not be able to sustain a hard muscular contraction. Calcium is also used to strengthen the bones so that they can be able to support the increased muscle tissues. Phosphorus also plays the role of assisting the muscles to contract during weight lifting. It also plays a role in the synthesis of ATP, which is a high energy molecule whose work is to allow the muscle cells to contract.

3. Vitamin C Many athletes tend to assume this vitamin and it is the most important of all other vitamins. The reason is because vitamin c helps the muscles to recover quickly, as it protects the muscle tissues from free radical damage. The other use of this vitamin is in the formation of collagen. Collagen is a component of connective tissues which is used to hold the muscles and bones together. If you do not have strong connective tissues then you are at risk of getting gym injuries.

4. Vitamin A This vitamin is not only used to improve a person's eyesight. There are other benefits of taking this vitamin especially if you are a bodybuilder. Vitamin A assists in the synthesis of proteins which are the building blocks of muscles. Without proteins you will not be able to achieve muscle hypertrophy. It will be like trying to build a brick house without bricks.

Vitamin A also has a role to play in the production of glycogen. Glycogen is used to fuel the body so that a bodybuilder can be able to train intensely. A bodybuilder cannot be able to perform in the gym well if he is lacking sufficient amount of glycogen.
Generally it attracts many people but not all who have interest do succeed in this business, some fail but with different reasons. The media, books, and various sources of information have written and passed on the body building massages but still a lot is yet to be unveiled and very crucial for everyone to know. People have bought DVD's and videos to get instructions for use in their daily work outs, but still a knowledge gap still exists, an issue that needs to be addressed keenly. In this regard, there are several tips that can make you successful if you follow them carefully and to the later.

Bodybuilding, or bulking up, as many may refer it, can have positive results when practiced at home, but to be sincere with anyone starting body building, it can impress even more when done in a well fitted gym with qualified trainers. Working it out in the gym helps the individual to be psychologically prepared and also it helps in ones devotion. It becomes more difficult for a starter to be devoted in the routine exercises because they always hold reasons to defend their failure but once in a gym, the trainer will make sure the individual turn up, otherwise some harsh measures would be put into effect.

The worst mistake that any body builder can do is overlooking the cardiovascular effect. Bodybuilding will surely take a lot of the individual's time and also the energy, but to clear all the doubts it would be better if done mostly from a concrete base mainly for aerobic fitness. The cardiovascular work vastly improves the muscle tone, and promotes general body health. Always as a prosperous body builder, adhere to the cardiovascular method because it will definitely contribute to your chance of having a longer life, and to be sincere, this is everyone's dream.

Nutrition bars are very important for any body builder. It involves the balance of the nutrients the he or she takes in the process of body building. Intake of such a diet is important for regular bulking up. Many people will argue that with the current global economic crisis the diet is a burden to follow, but everybody should know that sacrifices are important tools in the success of everything in life. One can try to fix a tight budget and fit in these important nutrients instead of impairing the body's progress while else there could have been a way to work it out.

Creatine is an important intake for a body builder, it is very important especially when it comes to energy supply in the body when working out the body building exercises. Meat is a great source of Creatine and it holds large amounts of the same, therefore the body builder can try it out. But always remember that too much of everything is poisonous and if one wants success in body building, he or she has to adhere to checks and balances of everything they consume within their regimen.
With the recent activity of the FDA and the trouble the Bodybuilding.com recently went through many online retailers aren't going to bother with prohormones or designer steroids anymore. Most have had a quick 48 hour sale or stopped selling them altogether. There are a few online supplement companies that are still rolling the dice.

For right now there still several prohormones that have not been banned by the FDA and are actually legal steroids. If you are looking to buy legal steroids because you want to stay out of trouble you can pick up some clones and "generics" of the original Superdrol. The chemical ingredient you are looking for is 2a 17a di methyl etiocholan 3-one 17b-ol so make sure that is on the label when you buy a Superdrol clone.

Superdrol, Halodrol 50, and Epistane are is still the most effective prohormones for gaining muscle mass or getting ripped on a low calorie diet. They are strong enough to shut down your own natural testosterone production so make sure you have your post cycle therapy lined up so that you can keep all of your gains. They may be legal to buy but that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat them like regular steroids. The same protocols for safety must be adhered to.

Stock up on the best prohormones while you still can. The government is continuing to crack down on them and they won't be legal much longer. The banned list for designer steroids gets bigger every year.
It is vital to separate the truth from the mythology so that you can choose effective workouts for your abs. Turbulence Training shows you how to burn fat and sculpt your muscles so that you can finally get the stomach that you have always wanted.

Myth number 1 - You have to do workouts for abs every day to get results.

This is absolutely wrong. In reality, many exercise experts today have shown that it is important for you to take a day off in between your abdominal workouts. Your muscles need time to rest, recover, and grow stronger after extreme workouts. Instead of forcing yourself to carry out boring exercises every day, you can obtain better results by using interval training that encourages your body to burn fat and build muscle quickly by training at least three days a week instead of seven.

Myth Number 2 - The additional repetitions you do, the better the results.

This is likely one of the most frustrating myths about abs workouts because it makes people do more work without getting the results that they expect. The truth is that doing hundreds of sit-ups or crunches is not the best way for you to drop weight and sculpt your abs. Turbulence Training uses interval training instead of long, boring sessions of tedious sit-ups.

Increasing the intensity of your workout gives you better results in less time. Think of it this way... Would you lift a small amount of weight 100 times if you were trying to increase your arm muscle size? Of course not. You would lift heavy weights in short sessions. You should apply the same strategy to your abs workouts.

Myth number 3 - You need particular equipment to obtain the most out of your abs workouts.

lots of companies will try to sell you special equipment that is "guaranteed" to make your abs workouts more successful. Some of them might help you a little, but you do not actually need special equipment to get the abs you have always dreamed of. All you need is the proper approach to your abs workouts.

Most of the miracle machines advertised on television and web sites do not work anyway. Instead of spending loads of money on workout equipment that may or may not help you, it makes more sense to learn the proper methods that will improve your exercise technique so you can drop pounds and sculpt your abs intelligently.

Myth number 4 - You must do cardio workouts in the fat burning zone to lose belly fat.

lots of study actually shows that you can lose belly fat without spending loads of time working up to the fat burning zone. The fat burning zone idea does not help you lose weight; it just helps you lose in your fight with weight loss techniques that do not work. Instead of forcing yourself to keep fit for long periods of time, you can obtain better results with Turbulence Training's workouts for abs that use short bursts of exercise.
However steroids have stayed a little controversial because not many people think of steroids in a good way. In truth the general public criticize anyone who uses steroid because they suspect that it is with time that side effects will show up. From the doctors, bodybuilding experts or the sportsman's desk, this is one great industry and they are not ready to quit any soon when it comes to steroid use.

For some folk they can't do without this and they are highly dependant on the same implying they are hopelessly in need of steroids. Competitive body builders are in this class where they should outshine other in the competitions by driving the judges insane over their enormous muscle size and good postures. The applicability stretches to the medical fields. It's been extraordinarily obvious that steroid use surrounds patients who have been having harsh and chronic sicknesses. Despite all of the arguable issues, doctors still hold steroids as robust relievers of severe acne that's a deadly condition at times which may possibly cause death. There's a possibility of curing cancer with the use of steroids and this must be done professionally by qualified doctors.
Steroids aid in muscle development and this is why stunned growth can be countered by correct use of steroids. On occassion , people have shocked expansion in their early stages of development and this includes shortness and growing thin. This is the reason why steroids remain vital because a good use of the same can handle the condition and bring back normalcy thru an enlargement of the same. That is the rationale doctors must be aware of different body types before prescribing steroids to avoid such conditions.

However even with the steroids being applicable in all these areas, it is vital to have the use controlled because of the negative outcomes which steroid have. They risk the condition of an individual and this is one great reason why this shouldn't be ignored in deciding on using steroids. The internet currently is a helpful great source of steroid info but still only a few folk want to go through this phenomenon because of the misconceptions that surround it. Assorted websites have been on the rise to help people understand it better but folk are surfing other stuff and this is the reason why steroid have not hit the market in a great sense and their applicability has been unobserved.
This is also an activity, which aims at putting the individual in a fitness state away from some diseases, for instance the cardiovascular diseases. Many people are venturing in this field and willing to succeed in all kinds of ways but their efforts are proving futile because of several reasons. There are very many reasons for failure in bodybuilding and this vary as per an individual.

One main cause of failure is unplanned body building routine. There are very many ways of practicing bodybuilding but all require proper planning and a strategy well set for successful exercising. Without a proper plan, the individual is forced to practice a haphazard training program and this brings in an element of injury. It is through unplanned bodybuilding that you experience excessive workouts and use of improper machines and all these lead to extremes in injuries caused.

Compromises are also a major cause of failure in bodybuilding. It is through failing to be faithful in a bodybuilding routine that one falls into negatives and takes improper steps. For instance on matters of diet, there is a reason why a particular diet is set for your routine. This may be due to the type of training you are going through be it weight lifting, strength training, and high or low intensity trainings among others. That diet is geared towards providing enough energy for the exercises and sufficient nutrients for muscle development. When it is compromised, the requirements fall is deficiency and muscle strain to develop. This is why you need to be strict in any planned activity because failures to do so, the consequences are bitter.

Lack of self-control and determination is also classified under causes of failures. There are very many reasons why you should believe in yourself when body building. This is because of the different hurdles, you have to go through and maintain your program until success is achieved. However, with no stand in body building, you will always face challenges. Reading what is written in magazines, newspapers, movies, websites or any other source of body building information, may mislead you largely. This is because body building is all about self and nothing to do with the majority. Some exercises might work for them, yet to you they might be useless and injury causing. The photos of strong and well-shaped body builders should be out of your mind immediately you start your own because this is what will process good results.

Misinformed perceptions are also a major cause of failure. When body building, you have to seek for a lot of information ranging from steroid use, diets, trainings and other required avenues. This is what as a whole will bring in success and keep your body fit. Nevertheless, the most sensitive part is on steroids. After many people have visited different websites and seen the advertisement of how steroids work wonders, they decide to try it even without proper examination from a physician. This is what brings in problems of side effects and complications in your body building and eventually failure becomes part of you in your program.
You need to modify your mind-set so that you can prepare yourself to train intensely in the gym so that you can achieve your iron pumping goals. The larger the intensity of your coaching the more muscles you will be able to develop and grow.

If you don't place enough stress on your muscles then you won't be able to invoke muscle hypertrophy. This is what drives many folks to begin using steroids. Steroid use in bodybuilding isn't inspired since it may lead to the following complications ; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking of the testicles, low sperm count, decreased sexual drive, baldness, increase in facial acne, heart Problems, liver ailments, kidney problems, insomnia and depression.

When it comes to your body-building program there are many phases that you need to pass thru so that you can excite muscle expansion. The 1st part of the bodybuilding program is often known as phosphate phase. In the phosphate stage there's typically a small building up of lactic acid in the muscles. This phase is the most vital one because it is the one which determines whether you are going to gain muscle expansion. During this stage you may experience some twitching during your coaching. Do not be fearful when you experience the twitching because it suggests that your muscles are starting to grow.
The second section of your training is known as the lactate phase. In this phase the sportsman will experience a burning sensation and it is thanks to the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles.
This will help you in achieving the result you are looking for and thus you will not need to turn to steroid use. When you take steroids you may experience the complications below ; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking of the testicles, low sperm count, decreased sexual drive, baldness, expansion of breast in males, increase in facial acne, heart issues, liver ailments, kidney Problems, sleeplessness and depression. Steroids are not the best answer when it comes to developing your muscles. All you need to understand are the diverse phases of your coaching to succeed.
What many people do not realize is that the benefits of protein actually extend way beyond mass and muscle building, but have been proven to increase well being from a number of different aspects.

Often times the food that is available today, in the stores or markets are lacking in certain vitamins, minerals and components that are essential to the training individual's goals and objectives from a muscle building perspective. Hence the protein supplements that are available today have become a vital part of the bodybuilding diet.

In understanding why these supplements are so important, not only to the bodybuilding community, but to many others, one has to consider the basic structure and function thereof. In its basic form the protein supplements are considered to be organic compounds. These compounds contain essential and non essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of the muscles themselves. Growth of the muscles within the body does not only provide increased size but the gaining in strength is also realized.

The true power of protein supplements are further illustrated by the use of these products within the medical field. These products have further been linked to providing not only the growth and strength aspects but providing energy as well as repairing muscles in the process after physical exertion. This physical exertion is key to the muscle building process, as the working out of the muscle groups is based around the 'tearing' the tissues which then grow back together but with increased size and mass. The speed at which the body repairs itself is greatly enhanced by protein.

Over and above the benefits described, and dependent upon the purity and intake of the protein supplements can also have a profound effect upon weight loss efforts and the part of the user. A purer source of the supplement provides nothing but pure nutrition for the body, without the intake of fat, provided of course you are not combining this with high fat products. Besides the products that are available, protein can be found in everyday food sources including, but not limited to meat, egg whites and so on. From a vegetarian perspective one may consider soya beans.

For those with limited time, or those seeking a more pure source of the protein the use of premium protein supplements is recommended to get the most out of this strategy of consumption. The forms within which these are available include powder as well as liquid forms, some of which are available in easy sachets that can be taken to the gym in your kit bag. The use of protein supplements is a great foundation for starting your bodybuilding process, as well as contributing to your overall wellbeing.
Why? Because having a thick, muscular chest is very impressive to say the least. Whether your goal is to compete as a professional bodybuilder, or you are just out to impress the girls, learning how to get a big chest should be your number one priority.

To get right into it, there are typically two main exercise types which you need to be aware of being; Isolation and Compound. If you want to know how to get a big chest fast, you need to understand what these exercise types mean. Isolation exercises are those of which work only one muscle over one joint e.g. dumbbell chest fly's. Compound exercises are those that work more than one muscle group over two or more joints.

Compound exercises are generally done at the beginning of your workout and should make up at least 80% of your total workout. Without boring you with all the theory behind building lean muscle, let me give you an example chest workout demonstrating both compound and isolation exercises. This was one of my original chest building routines and is designed to hit your chest from multiple angles to maximize the development of the Pectoralis Major and Minor muscles (Pec's!).

How to Get a Big Chest - Chest Workout 1

* Incline Dumbbell Bench Press - 3 sets (12, 10, 8). Compound exercise
* Dumbbell Bench Press - 3 sets (12, 10, 8). Compound exercise
* Dumbbell Fly - 2 sets (12, 10). Isolation exercise
* Decline Barbell Bench Press - 2 sets (12, 10). Compound exercise

The chest routine above will put sufficient stress (overload) on your muscles to make them want to grow. You'll notice that we have primarily used dumbbells and compound exercises for most of the workout. Why? Because if you want to build a bigger chest, these are the exercises that you are going to have to do.

It has been proven through numerous studies that free weights are much more effective at building muscle mass than machine weights. Free weights put your body under higher physical and mental stress in the three dimensional world that we live in. Your body adapts by developing a high mental focus to recruit every muscle fiber available to lift the weight safely through all planes (Frontal, Median, Horizontal, and Sagittal).

Some common mistakes...

A common mistake inexperienced bodybuilders make is following the routines from bodybuilding magazines which involves them doing 20+ sets per muscle group. This is a big mistake! The routines that professional bodybuilders use are the routines which you need to be taking anabolic steroids for. Period!

Your natural body simply can't cope with those high volumes, split workouts which require you to be in the gym 6 days a week for hours on end. This type of training will most definitely lead to overtraining before you know it. If you over-train your muscles you will never experience how to get a big chest - or body for that matter.

Now, there are some basic rules to using the program above which must be followed;

How to Get a Big Chest - Rule # 1

The best chest exercises to build rock hard muscle mass are without a doubt compound exercises performed with dumbbells. Stay clear of machine weights and make free weights (dumbbells/barbells) your two best friends.

How to Get a Big Chest - Rule # 2

The repetition range outlined in the program above should be the maximum amount of reps you can do with a particular weight without any assistance. If you can do more reps than specified above, simply select a heavier weight. You won't get big looking at the big weights so get in there and show them whose boss. Saying that, remember to always use a spotter where you can to avoid injury to yourself.

How to Get a Big Chest - Rule # 3

Always remember that REST is the most important factor of muscle growth. The general rule of thumb is 60-90 seconds rest between sets, and 72 hours rest between training the same muscle group. Do not train your chest every day. I see it all the time and these guys are not getting any bigger. In fact, it's laughable!

How to Get a Big Chest - Rule # 4

Always use proper lifting techniques and strict form. Sadly, this is where most beginner bodybuilder and weightlifters miserably fail. Their high enthusiasm coupled with their low knowledge is a recipe for disaster. Any exercise you perform should be done correctly to maximize muscle growth and to prevent serious injury. If you don't know how to do an exercise correctly, ask one of the trainers in your gym, I'm sure they will be more than happy to assist.

A good place to start to ensure your lifting technique is correct is to time your reps in your head. For example; let's say you were doing bench press. For the concentric phase (pushing the bar away from your body in this case), you would count "one thousand" in your head, or out loud if you prefer but you might get a few strange looks from the other guys in the gym. One second is how long it should take for the bar to travel from the chest to the arms extended position. For the eccentric phase (lowering the bar to the chest), you would count "one thousand, two thousand" in your head. Ensuring that you don't bounce the bar off the chest, you would then have a count of "one thousand" before pressing the bar up through the full range of motion. By adding a count of "one thousand" or one second at both ends of the repetition, this will prevent you from cheating and pretty much force you to have better form.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as learning how to get a big chest fast and obviously we can't cover everything in a single article. An excellent free resource I have found recently is called "The Top 20 Ways to Screw up in the Gym" and can be downloaded completely free by clicking on this link. I always thought they were terribly bad, they would kill you, and you were automatically a cheater if you even contemplated taking them. That was until I decided to do my own research; not because I was considering taking them, but because I was interested in finding out what exactly a "steroid" was and why they were useful.

I've learned there are various types of steroids, and these "anti-steroid" people were usually the ones that if you looked them straight in the eye and said "what do steroids do?" They would lose their voice box because they were completely clueless, they too were relying on hear-say information, probably from someone that also failed to do their research. I've always been curious, why should I never idolize anyone that's considered them? I mean, Mark McGuire, Hulk Hogan, Arnold, they were all guys that took steroids and I cannot look up them now? I can't say "I want to look like that?"

After learning Google was my best friend when it came to research, at the age of 19 I decided to research the topic and not let anyone, even someone I respected their opinion, influence my own personal decision on what I thought of it. I knew that steroids weren't for me personally, my goal was to never step on a bodybuilding stage and/or set a powerlifting record, my goal was to never reach my genetic potential. So I could eliminate that completely, but should I discredit the hard work Mark McGuire put into in order to get in the MLB? Better yet, anti-steroid bandwagon riders honestly think if McGuire wouldn't have used steroids for 4 weeks he would have never stepped on a major league field? Since when does taking help cancel what you did on your own? Steroids do not increase performance on a field, they give synthetic assistance to muscle building.

There are many forms of steroids - corticosteroids and anabolic steroids being the most popular; an anabolic steroid is a steroid that is used in order to influence muscle growth. It should be considered when a trainee has reached their natural genetic potential or are considering competing in a sport where others are using the same assistance. There is a steroid hormone, produced in the male body, predominantly more than in a female body called "testosterone". This steroid hormone aids in production of contractile proteins like myosin and actin, found in the myofibris of a muscle. When these proteins multiply, it allows the trainee to develop more strength, resulting in a better and longer duration of consistent progressive overload, resulting in muscular hypertrophy.

Steroids cut off, yes, that's right, steroids cuts OFF the natural production of testosterone and replaces this production of testosterone with a synthetically elevated testosterone, more efficient at building muscle. Side effects of steroids are testicular atrophy (this refers to TESTICLES temporarily, they are caused to shrivel up for the above mentioned reasons, NOT the other thing), gynecomastia (due to elevated estrogen, which testosterone raises, although EPISTANE significantly decreases this risk and has been known to CURE gyno), roid rage (only if you were an asshole before you took steroids, they will just make you worse), impaired vision, becoming sterile (if you fail to use a PCT and test-booster post-cycle), acne, and hair loss. Dying is not one of them, not unless you were extremely stupid and stayed on steroids for a long time without proper durations and assistance.

Oral steroids, which are now becoming popular, are hard on the liver. This requires a cycle assist, which helps maintain blood pressure and helps keep your liver functioning properly. It's essential. Contrary to popular belief, all anabolic steroids stress the liver, so does alcohol and aspirin. Oral steroids are methylated in order to bypass breakdown by the liver, resulting in them being more toxic to a liver than conventional needle injected steroids, used by veteran lifters and athletes.

If testosterone does not elevate regularly in 4-6 weeks, back to it's normal production, it can be permanently shut off. Resulting in you having to visit a hormone specialist the rest of your life. No on wants this, so please take your cycles wisely, if you are considering steroids and need assistance, you can PM me and I will help get your cycle to a safe recommendation, you do not want to risk having your liver shut down on you, after all, you cannot live without it for a long-period of time. You need to treat it wisely.

Post-cycle you need to use a PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) and you need to use a natty test booster- I recommend activaTe Xtreme as a test booster, and nolvadex as a PCT. Remember that steroids are illegal, but prohormones aren't. The only difference is that prohormones convert to steroids when they enter the body - examples are epistane, superdrol, m-drol, havoc, h-drol, d-bol, etc. if you are considering taking something that wasn't just mentioned, then it's most likely a knock off and you'd be wasting your money. I recommend Epistane or Havoc to beginners, they're pretty much the same thing. Also remember that until you're in your mid 20's, it isn't as safe to take them before then because your endocrine system hasn't developed yet, if you mess your endocrine system up, then you will have to, as mentioned, see a hormone specialist the rest of your life because your hormones will be out of control or in a constant deficiency.

If you started epistane or a similar steroid, please do not mistake the temporary results for permanent. This is also misunderstood, you seriously still have to work hard when on them, they don't build muscle for you, they basically just help you out. I don't disrespect anyone that has taken them before, I'm sure the powerlifters with 900lb deadlifts wouldn't be weak if they didn't take steroids. I'm sure Arnold wouldn't have been scrawny if he didn't take them, he might not have been as big, but definitely not small.

If someone claims or even succeeds in adding 30 lbs of muscle on a 10 week cycle, probably around half of it is probably water bloat. That is because testosterone increases estrogen (which can be blocked to an extend with Epistane, as mentioned) which causes you to hold extra water and other nutrients inside the muscle cells in your muscles giving the temporary appearance of hypertrophy (not all is temporary, but some). This is also the principle cause of the result "gynecomastia", in which some of us gain naturally through puberty. 8 out of 10 men are believed to suffer from this to an extent.

Steroids also can stimulate more glucose storage in your muscle, glucose is a polar molecule, which means it holds extra water inside the muscle. It increases red blood cell production and hemoglobin (the oxygen molecule/protein molecule in the red blood cells that carries oxygen molecules to the capillaries) which causes more blood and sodium uptake so that more water is held under the skin, resulting in the "mood face". Compromise of all of this can lead to the significant pump you get even when you aren't working out.

You will also lose muscle slowly for months afterwards if you are not near your genetic limit (which is why this can serve as counterproductive) simply because your body is not ready to maintain the conditions it had with the synthetic anabolic assistance. If you continue to use steroids, your androgens can become clogged, thus resulting in lower production of testosterone when off steroids and this results in the demand of steroid usage after your first few cycles.

Let's not forget the old excuse "my cousin was put on steroids when he was small". This is where the other type of steroids - corticosteroids come in. Anabolic means an synthetic phase of a metabolism, where it is capable of building muscle. Corticosteroids elevate the enemy of testosterone, cortisol, which is a catabolic hormone produced in the adrenal glands. It eats muscle, these steroids your make believe cousin was put on by a Doctor are not anabolic and do the opposite of steroids that are given to bodybuilders, powerlifters, and other phenomenally strong athletes. The name steroid is only used to describe a chemical name for anything that has a structure of connected atoms. I've seen written that Vitamin D is a steroid and so is cholesterol (just not an anabolic steroid).Corticosteroids are beneficial to the immune system by blocking things that influence allergic reactions. A side effect of corticosteroids are muscle weakness, so don't go to your Doctor saying you can't grow so you need steroids, it's not the same type of anabolic steroids. Big difference between the two really.

Do your own research, but here is an article that I hope can sum up misinformation. If you're still curious, PM me, join www.weightliftingforum.net, or look up "Bigger, Stronger, Faster". It's a movie/documentary on steroids and their effects.

Steroid "use" doesn't hurt people steroid "ABuse" does. They will not harm you if you do them properly, the guys on TV didn't listen to articles like this, that's why they're in the shape they're in. Not because steroids did it to them automatically. Remember if you were on steroids 4 weeks, wait a minimum of 8 weeks to return to steroids, remember if you stay on steroids for long periods of a time, then your androgens can become clogged, slowing down your natural testosterone release during resistance training, resulting in less muscle for a person whom has taken steroids and chooses to train naturally than someone that didn't/doesn't train naturally. Abusing anything will hurt you, even drinking too much soda or eating too much fat. Should we tell people never eat a gram of fat because too much of it will send plague to your arteries? No, we shouldn't. We should tell them fats can be used appropriately and when necessary, just like steroids, do I believe the 6'0" 130lb 18 year old should use them? No. Do I believe the 6'0" 240lb competing powerlifter/bodybuilder could use them? Yes. Your genetics have a limit, when them are reached, that's what steroids are made for.

Personally, I'd rather lose without steroids than win with them, but that's my own respectable decision. I hold no discredit to competitive athletes that have used them properly, and if someone tells you they don't, then they must hate all sports and 80% of their athletes
Through bodybuilding a person is able to increase to improve there body physique. If your goal is to develop a well toned body or to become very muscular, bodybuilding is going to help you achieve this. The goal of most people participating in bodybuilding is to get stronger and bigger. What most people fail to realize is that they can be able to achieve there goal even without taking steroids. Steroid use is not advocated for because it could lead to any of the following side effects; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking of the testicles, low libido, acne, liver problems, kidney problems, heart conditions, depression, increases aggression, insomnia and other people have experienced suicidal symptoms.

When it comes to bodybuilding more is not always the best as most people think. You can be able to achieve your objective by just training 3 to 4 days a week. You need to ensure that each training session is both intense and effective. For the training to be effective, you need to apply the right techniques in your training. Some of the techniques include progressive resistance training and compound movement exercises. Compound movement exercises are very effective when it comes to attaining fast muscle gain since they train many muscle groups at the same time. Progressive resistance training involves increasing the amount of weight you are using over a period of time. Progressive resistance training is the secret to building stronger and bigger muscles. When you train using progressive resistance technique, you will be able to push your body beyond its limits and thus manage to stimulate growth.

Apart from intense training your diet and supplementation will also determine whether you are going to succeed. You need to take plenty of protein supplementations since they will help increase your muscle mass. They contain a combination of various proteins such as whey proteins, casein protein, egg protein, and soy protein. When the protein supplement you are using consists of first absorbed proteins, your muscle will be able to develop very fast. If you couple a proper diet with sufficient protein supplements, your quest for achieving fast muscle gain will be successful. Your diet on the other hand should contain plenty of carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fat. They are very rich in calories which are needed to fuel intense training.

If you want to increase your muscle mass you need to ensure that you give your body plenty of rest. When you are working out you need to take sometime in between the workouts and rest accordingly. You should also ensure that you sleep properly during the night so that your body can be able to recover from the training and grow. If you fail to rest and yet you are training intensely, you are going to lose the already acquired muscles. The body grows when you are resting and not when you are training as most people tend to think.

You also need to think in the following guideline and questions. They will help you to define what you require according to your physical conditions and the aims you want to fulfill.

-Define each of your objectives. -Ask yourself why you are interested in bodybuilding. -What do you want to achieve? -What is your final ambition?

A burning desire to achieve what you want will be the fuel that will encourage you to one of the best challenges of your life. Without this desire, you are destined to an unavoidable failure.

The tips you will find below are not magic solutions. They are a useful piece of advice that can fit some of your personal features. Therefore, they can be the beginning of a beneficial change in your life.

1. Consult your family doctor before starting any bodybuilding plan.

2. Prepare your bodybuilding plan in a realistic frame. Remember that you should not focus your attention and effort on unachievable goals because you can become bored or dissatisfied. Therefore, you need to avoid these sorts of feelings that can lead you to give up your bodybuilding plan. Take into account short-term goals that will give you the opportunity to keep yourself enthusiastic.

3. Evaluate the amount of money you will need. If your current budget is small, create a new one for your bodybuilding program. After that, you will know if you are ready to afford a gym at home or if it is necessary to join a club. The second option may be the most appropriate for the first stage in a bodybuilding plan.

4. Think in low cost alternatives to get bodybuilding equipment. For example, some used equipment can be as useful as new one and really cheaper. If you choose this option, pick good quality used equipment.

5. You can also take a combined option: a small home gym with a membership in some club.

6. Eat as healthy as you can. Good nutrition is the best support for true bodybuilding plans. To enjoy a well-balanced diet, consult a licensed dietician. Also try to be well-informed on natural food. Several seminars on diets and nutrition are held every year. They can be very helpful to get more information about the food you must eat.

7. If you decide to use dietary supplements, investigate about what they contain and which company manufactures them. Follow the instructions in the packaging. You should only hear your practitioner's advice.

8. Enjoy your bodybuilding plan. You should follow it without being obsessive. This type of behaviors can conduct you to frustration. The best bodybuilding program is ready for you. Are you ready for it? Bodybuilding can change your life in a really positive way!
This of course is incorrect. The above mentioned, bodybuilding, does utilize strength training but itself is a sport not a form of the exercise. Some other popular sports that incorporate primarily strength training are weightlifting, power lifting & strongman competitions but all sports can benefit from it for instance, football, swimming to even running.

Well, then what exactly is strength training and can I benefit from it? Strength training by definition is the use of contraction to muscular resistance to build the strength, anaerobic endurance and size of skeletal muscles. There are many different methods of strength training, the most common being the use of gravity (through weight stacks, plates or dumbbells) or elastic/hydraulic resistance respectively to oppose muscle contraction. Some of the benefits of strength training include increased muscle, tendon and ligament strength, bone density, flexibility, tone, metabolic rate and postural support. Can you benefit? Of course, anyone can benefit from positive of effects of strength training if performed properly in a safe environment.

I have been strength training since the age of 14 and continue to today at 39. It's like an old friend to me. It was there at age 14 to give me self confidence, to help my football performance and to become one of the strongest teenage power lifters in the state of IL at that time. It's still with me today to help keep me healthy while running 100 mile ultras and to compete in national Strongman competitions. Trust me, it is just as important as eating right, doing cardio and will help you maintain great health. Here are just a few suggestions for beginners, intermediates or even the advanced that I've learned over the past 25 years.

Beginners - I strongly recommend that if you've never lifted weights that you get professional help to get you on your way safely and correctly. I do not mean just some big guy in the gym, but an actual fitness professional that holds a degree in the field or has a reputable certification. Don't be afraid to experiment with the various forms of strength training. For instance, I still switch it up from using my own bodyweight, to dumbbells, machines, free weights and to even atlas stones and tires. Don't be intimidated by anyone or anything. This is your chance to get to know your body and have fun with it.

Intermediates- You've been lifting for awhile, possibly hit a plateau or just looking for a change. You've got the base now really experiment. You may currently incorporate machines and free weights into your workout so now start playing with sets and reps. For instance, some workouts I'll do the old school workout of 3 sets x 10 reps, the next might be 2 sets x 15 reps and then to really add some flavor, I'll do my Millennium Workout which utilizes 1 set of 25 - 50 reps to equal 1000 total reps. Also, look into the sports of weightlifting, power lifting or strongman. They can be a lot of fun and help keep you motivated and driven.

Advanced - Ok, you are the guys and girls that have been hitting it for years. Probably played a sport in high school or college and still like to get after it. Hey, I'm right there with ya. I love it too, but even we get bored or hit plateaus. Try really mixing it up with db's, free weights, machines and especially try some strongman toys, like atlas stones, tires and even sandbags. Its loads of fun and a great workout. Also, if you've never put your strength to the test, give it a try; you have nothing to lose and only a good time to gain. You can find Strongman competitions at http://www.nastrongmaninc.com/index.asp and Power lifting events at http://wvuspf.com/ I still compete in both and love it. Oh, and my 135lb wife even joins me. It's great family fun.

Strength training should be an important part of your fitness program. Anyone of just about any age can benefit from the positive effects of lifting weights. It's also important to help keep our bodies, joints and bones strong as we age. The most important thing to remember is to have fun with it. Don't' be afraid to experiment with during modes of strength training or to attempt the various sports that utilize it. Like Arnold said, "I'm here to pump - you up >
Ten FREE Muscle Videos let you decide.

Vince Delmonte reveals a shocking muscle building truth that the bodybuilding industry "gurus" do not want you to know. Check it out at http://www.weighttrainingforhardgainers.com/.

But is he for real?

Are you a hardgainer? Have you tried every pill, powder and supplement that bodybuilding magazines push on you? Champion bodybuilders offer advice on everything from weight training equipment to bodybuilding programs, weight gain diets, gym programs and of course supplements. Weight gain for skinny guys and gals is tough enough without this constant barrage of conflicting information.

Vince's program of weight gain for skinny hardgainers promises fast, impressive weight gain for bodybuilders female and male. Moreover, these results are promised regardless of your current level of fitness.

Delmonte's weight gain program is based on his own story as a skinny kid, growing up a long distance runner. At a miniscule 149 pounds, Vince earned the deserved nickname, "Skinny Vinnie". Vince was a hardgainer who wanted desperately to break free from his skinny genes and achieve the bodybuilding results that so many magazines and commercial muscle building programs promised. He achieved the training strength but not the muscle gain.

Having tried them all, Delmonte reached a chilling conclusion: the muscle building supplement companies were in fact the owners of all major bodybuilding magazines on the market!

Check them out for yourself: * Iron Man is owned by Muscle Linc. * Muscle Media was formerly owned by EAS. * Musclar Development was formerly owned by TwinLab. * Status is owned by Magnum Nutraceuticals. * Science and Muscle is owned by Gaspari Nutrition. It's the unknown: the idea you're doing a new routine or exercise which presents a new challenge, and wondering what kind of results you're going to get. It's exciting. It's motivating - and that's precisely what you need to give yourself to keep making progress. Then there's the physiological side.

Firstly, it's important to understand that the mind and body are connected. Once the mind becomes bored with a certain exercise it will subconsciously start injecting negative reactions towards it. Which means, unknowingly, you will find yourself putting in less and less effort, thus getting less and less reward. And the more bored the mind becomes, the worse this phenomenon becomes - especially as you notice your strength and size gains stalling a lot or even sliding.

Changing your routine regularly prevents this phenomenon from occurring.

Also, the muscles become 'bored' of their own volition. It's simply that once the muscles adapt to a certain movement, it no longer poses the challenge it once did, and the results therefore dry up.

You have probably observed this yourself many times, even if you weren't acutely aware of why this was. Take this scenario: One week you are putting in so much effort with a certain regular lift on a certain body part it feels like you're eyes are going to pop out. Yet, you just can't seem to make much progress. And you aren't even really sore afterwards despite the mammoth effort. Now, you make a change. You work the same body part using a different exercise - maybe even using a roughly equivalent weight. And the following days your muscles are very sore.

You've suddenly presented your body with new stimulus, something the muscles didn't anticipate. And from this, you will tend to get the best new growth.

Watch closely. You will quite often observe whenever you change to a new exercise and experience the soreness indicator of new stimuli, you will get new growth.

So, how often should you change your routine? My tip is to change whenever you recognize your progress stalling, and the post workout soreness that once came in the following days doesn't materialize anymore.
If you think it is only for women who are shallow and only care about their looks, then get it out of the Stone Age. If you think it is for women who care about their looks, health, families and friends, then you are just in the right place. A full-time mom will say that she simply doesn't have time to worry about her looks. There is always something stuck in her hair or something that makes her stink from miles away. The career woman on the other hand will always be moving room one board room meeting to the next and will be juggling one deadline with another. She simply doesn't have time to spend in the gym. Besides, due to the fact that she hardly has any time for herself, it is very unlikely tat she has even an ounce of excess fat anywhere on her body. This means that working out is simply not a priority for her.

What you need to realize is that bodybuilding isn't just going to the gym for hours and coming back home tired and hungry. Bodybuilding is a way of life that stress down into nearly everything that you do. Fact of the matter is that you may not have the amount of time that professionals have in their hands to work out, but that doesn't mean that you can't work out. Working out keeps you both healthy and is known to be really great stress reliever. So for the career woman, you won't start snapping at people in the board room just because you had a late night finishing someone else's work and the full time mummy will enjoy taking care of the household. It has been shown hat bodybuilding is a great reliever for depression and people who are addicted to drugs and want to quit are advised to work out as a way to help them deal with the depression that normally occurs as a withdrawal syndrome. When you work out, your brain releases endorphins which are feel good hormones and therefore you end up feeling happier about yourself. That's also the reason behind taking a walk when you're angry to clear your head.

You don't have to sign up at the gym for you to work out. I will advice you to do a minimum of 30 minutes cardio every morning. If you can't hit the road, then invest in a tread mill. Pace up and down when you're on the phone and use the stairs instead of the elevator. Cut down on the junk you eat and keep your kitchen healthier. Keep in mind that you are doing this in order to keep healthy and also get fringe benefits such as having a really gorgeous body! Many women have made it their career and are earning a lot of money and taking their kids to college. Keep an open mind, who knows?
If you do not take a proper diet you will not be able to prevent diseases and other infections. If you are also looking to lose weight or to gain weight then a proper supplementation and diet is going to help you achieve the results you want. The secret to staying disease free is to gather all the relevant information regarding a proper diet.

Proteins Are Important

There are various sources of proteins both animal proteins as well as animal proteins. Proteins play a very important role in a person's body and they are the building blocks of muscles. Protein can either be used to repair the body or they can be used to generate energy. If you are a serious athlete you need to consume about 2 grams for every pound of your body weight while a sedentary person can consume around 0.75 grams for every pound of there body weight.

You need to ensure that your cycle your proteins appropriately. If you are undertaking strength training, then you need to understand that this increases the rate at which proteins are being broken down in your body. The normal 0.75 grams become inadequate to enable the repair the muscle as a result of the breakdown during intense strength training. When you increase your protein intake sporadic, there are certain mechanisms which are going to be put in place to remove the excess proteins.

To avoid the elimination of the excess proteins, you need to increase your protein intake step by step. This will enable the body to increase its absorption of the proteins.

Carbohydrates Are Important

If you are a novice bodybuilder you need to take your carbohydrate consumption very seriously. This is because they are the ones responsible for the supply of energy to our body. They contain fiber which helps with our digestion as well as preventing other diseases. If you do not take adequate carbs in your diet you will lack sufficient energy to be able to undertake intense training.

Vitamins and Minerals Are Important

If you want to take adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals then you need to ensure that you eat a balanced diet. There are various supplements also which you can include in your diet for the best results.

Herbal

There are various herbs that you can take which include Echinacea and gingko. They will help maximize your life by preventing conditions such as flu, memory failure and blue moods.

Supplements

There are many bodybuilders who are wondering whether they should supplement there diet. There are many reasons why people might decide to start using supplements. One reason is because you could not be getting adequate nutrients from the diet you are eating. When you take supplements you will be able to make up for the nutrients which are missing in your diet.
Here's how to lose your tummy fat with the best belly fat exercise ever created. It's simple, you don't have to go to the gym to do it, you can do it just about anywhere without looking weird, it takes less than 1 minute, and you lose about 1.75 inches from your waist in less than 1 month.

Before I get to this exercise, I have to also mention that doing crunches, situps, and jogging on a treadmill for hours are not the best belly fat exercises to lose tummy fat. They're very inefficient and counter-productive.

Vacuum Pose

The vacuum pose was a secret exercise Arnold Schwarzenegger did to reduce the size of his waist for bodybuilding competitions.

What you do is simply suck in your belly... from your belly button... so that it feels like your belly button is getting sucked into your lower spine and back. It's important to not just suck in your belly, but to focus on sucking in your belly from your belly button.

After you've sucked in your belly as much as you can, hold the "sucked in" position for as long as possible (up to a minute).

You can slowly let air out, but try not to breathe fully. If you have heart or lung problems, you may want to skip doing this exercise. But for the rest of you, just be sure to keep the tension for at least 15 seconds... but even longer, up to a minute is better for results.

That's how to lose your tummy fat with the best belly fat exercise ever created. If you did this for about 5 minutes a day, you can expect to lose about 1.75 inches from your waist in 4 weeks.

Take for instance the bodybuilding protein supplements such as that of whey protein products are quite often used by medical professionals in treating malnourished and starving children, as well as being used in people suffering from muscular degenerative conditions.

However from the fitness and training view, these bodybuilding protein supplements offer a valuable source of protein for the individual that is training in a number of ways. One of the main menace in which the products are consumed is immediately prior to and after strenuous workouts, as the supplements work as both a source of energy for the muscles during the workout phase, as well as a recovery agent in repairing the muscles that have undergone training within the strenuous workout.

One of the most popular bodybuilding protein supplements is that of whey protein, which has consistently been proven to be one of the most superior sources of protein for the user. Tests conducted on whey protein products have conclusively proven that this protein source offers one of the highest known biological values within the supplement market. This basically translates to the fact that the intake of these supplemental products are digestive more easily than alternative sources, and in comparison to other protein supplements a higher percentage of energy is delivered to the muscles.

Bodybuilding protein supplements should be combined with a well-designed workout and physical activity routine, which can be done in consultation with a personal trainer, dependent on what your ultimate goals and objectives are. This is quite important as the effect of certain supplement products may not be within your desired objectives or goals. Furthermore there are a variety of products available on the market that vary quite vastly in terms of both price and composition. One will furthermore find that the more expensive whey proteins in this example are in all likelihood will be more pure, commonly referred to as isolates, and are usually used by the serious bodybuilder. This does not mean you are prohibited from using these products, however if your eating plan does not tie in together with your exercise routine and your goals, you are in essence really wasting money, as the more regular type of whey protein may be sufficient for you.

These supplementation products are quite diverse and can range from creatines, to fat burners, testosterone boosters and many more. However by rushing in and utilising a variety of these products may defeat the very ends you're aiming to achieve. Hence the recommendation of consulting a nutritionist and personal trainer, and at the very least the latter, before rushing into any supplementation program together with your workout routines.
Then, there are the vast majority of people that workout while they look for to grow solid muscles. Those that wish to take the way of developing solid muscles will definitely need to employ the proper workout for achieving muscle mass. Are make muscle workouts difficult? No, they are not but they may make a little extra effort.

Most people realize that the origination point of build muscle workouts is compound exercises that employ all the muscles in the body. Such build muscle workouts will entail working on the upper and the lower body. Most people know this and that is why they perform such workouts. But, what happens when they are unable to truly build the proper amount of muscle? Then they need to take the steps necessary to expand their muscle growth potential. Are these steps tough? Well, you could consider them a little challenging but they are not impossible to perform. Here is a look at several of them:

Pre-Exhaustion: This is one of the most popular build muscle workouts of professional bodybuilders and has been so for many decades. This is a simple workout strategy that can help greatly with boosting the body's potential to build solid muscles. The way this works is that an isolation exercise is performed to failure and then a compound exercise that partially works the same muscle group is performed immediately thereafter. For example, bicep curl sets will be performed to failure. Then, a bench press (which placed some minor stress on the biceps) will be performed at normal reps and sets. This will help explode the growth of the biceps dramatically.

Super Setting: Super setting is a very simple process that is designed to cut back on rest periods and put more emphasis on a total body workout in a short time frame. This process involves doing dissimilar exercises one after the other with no wait in between. Here is an example: A set of bench presses, a set of squats, and a set of forearm curls. Then, repeat the superset one or two more times. Does this sound easy? It is! And it delivers results while cutting workout time.

Partial Motion: This is an "oddball" member of the build muscle workouts but it has value. Basically, you use lighter weights and perform RAPID half movements of the exercise. For example, you could perform a bench press no weight and only bring it down half-way and then return it to the original position. Crank out about 30 quick reps of this and you might stimulate additional muscle growth.

These three advanced exercises will definitely help build muscle. Contrary to popular belief, performing the same exercises with heavier weights does not always deliver the intended results. Actually, it may lead to burnout instead. Varying a workout with some of the more popular bodybuilding strategies may deliver the results you are looking for. Just be sure not to overdo it or else burnout will be the result as well. Why is this? The answer lies in the nature of the human body as no one has exactly the same aspects as the other person.

No one has control over the following aspects hence they are taken as they are. These are:

- The Muscle Fiber Type

There are two known types of muscle. One is the fast twitch muscle which is suited for anaerobic exercises since they produce alot of force for a short length of time hence their application in the power exercises such as power lifting. The slow twitch muscles produce a small amount of force for a long length of time thus they are needed for the endurance exercises which may feature the cardio/ aerobics. Most people usually have the same number of both types of the muscle fibers. There are people who have more of one type of muscle fiber compared to the other type of fiber. This explains why there are athletes who perform better at long races and viceversa. Fast twitch muscles like their name enable one to run very fast over short distances. As a result, people with fast twich muscles will also tend to build bigger muscles and great strength much faster.

- The Age Factor

Building bigger muscles should start when one is in the 20 years age bracket. This is where the body is still growing. This is also where one can experience optimum growth rate of the both the muscles tissues and the overall strength. After attaining full maturity the body tends to switch off any further growth and this explains why older people have to spend more time working out in order to achieve their bodybuilding goals.

- The Gender Issue

Gender has everything to do with the amount of muscle one is likely to gain. The muscle tissues type are not in the least any different in either the male or females but the amount of muscle in men is alot more than that in ladies. The main reason for this is the hormone called testosterone. This hormone is present in large quantities in the male species than it is in the female species. The female species has more of the hormone Estrogen compared to the level of testosterone. This is typically the reason why men are generally stronger physically than women.

- The Varying Limb and Muscle Length

The length of a limb plays a crucial role in determining the strength of a person. It is noted that people who are generally short tend to be able to lift heavier poundages of load. This is because of the issue of leverage where the short arms or legs tend to offer greater leverage and vice versa.

The length of a muscle also determines the amount of strength in that long muscles have greater capacity for growth i.e. they can be stretched further by the workout exercises and hence larger muscles are formed.

- The Variable Tendon Position

The length to a tendon location from a specific joint may vary for people with say the same arm length and same muscle type and length. The longer the tendon location the more heavy one is able to lift and consequently the bigger the muscles if adequate training is exercised.
