Hello everyone. Its 10:30 A.M and its a warm morning here in chennai, Tamilnadu, India. First things first. So. First of all. Apologies, for not having been active and disappointing all those little much readers of this blog. I've been undercover for more than a couple of years now (due to some physical ailment - laziness :D )and i promise that i will be blogging like never before and i'll be posting stuffs that i think you should be knowing about gadgets. These two years saw great advancements in the mobile phone technology with the evolution of the now-commonly-term Androids. Yes guys ! Androids. This is what you hear all over. Talk of the world. Google joins the league of mobile phone operating systems for a revolution in mobile phones. I now silently am waiting for their PC operating system. Boy ! Its gonna be Legendary. I've been reading a lot about gadgets, but then i was super lazy to blog about what i read. I also was lucky enough to have some hands on experience with some droids(Not the big ones though), but still i've to say that google is doing great and they are here to stay.

You may also be aware of the fact that it was the iPhone 4 which won the "Best Smart Phone" award in the MWC'11 and HTC bagged the "Best Manufacturer Award" but droids are no less compared to the iOs built phones. I would say both are the best competitors. For all those who are still guessing what MWC'11 is or google'ing MWC'11, its Mobile World Congress. Guys, this is where it all starts.

Okay ! So. There are some million things that came into the foreground but i thought this would be the most appropriate stuff to start a new beginning. So here i'm, already blogging !

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo preview: First look

Sony Ericsson is keen to start 2011 in style with strong additions to the XPERIA lineup to please every taste. The Arc is the one true flagship, the Pro is the business messenger and the Play is the gaming smartphone. What’s in there for the Neo then?

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo has the appearance of a Vivaz and an Android heart. Is this what the original Vivaz should have been? A conclusion would be premature at this point but consider the advantages. Android instead of the rough-around-the-edges Symbian, bigger and better display, multi-touch support and greater processing power. We guess we shouldn’t be looking at the past though. The XPERIA Neo is stopping in for a quick preview and we want to make the best of the short time we have with it before it’s released.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo

Having met with the Arc already, it feels right to put things into perspective. There are fine differences between the two smartphones and screen size alone won’t be enough to tip the scales. The Neo will have to show some respect but it’s not a simple flagship - patrol boat hierarchy.

The price tags will ultimately make the biggest difference and – the way things look – the Neo will make a lot of sense as the more affordable phone, which offers relevant features like continuous autofocus and video light.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo will be marketed as a cameraphone. An 8 megapixel camera and HD video capture are a strong mix and we’re more than eager to see them in action.

The white iPhone 4 is finally coming this spring, again

Apple's Philip Schiller has just confirmed the white iPhone 4 will be launched this spring, ahead of the iPhone 5's announcement. We know it's not the breaking news you were hoping for, but it's still news.

Philip Schiller is Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing. A user asked him on Twitter about the white iPhone (4 for sure) and he answered this:

We saw that news before, but it's the first time we hear it from an Apple rep. It seems the white fella will be released after all and it will go public even before the iPhone 5's announcement. Usually better late than never is a good thing, but we are afraid that's not Apple's case. Really, is there anyone out there left waiting for it and willing to buy it a month or two before the iPhone 5 gets out? Yeah, we thought so, too.

Next gen iPhone won’t feature NFC support

There's always been immense speculation surrounding the next generation iPhone - will it feature that or the other, will it have a bigger display, will it have a better camera, etc. And now that the iPad 2 is out, we're actually seeing some of the hardware to power the next iPhone too.

The Independent claims that the next iPhone won't have an NFC chip contrary to initial rumors. NFC stands for Near Field Communication, which basically enables your device to make really-short distance transactions just by waving it in front of a NFC reader.

The transactions can be various types - from paying your bus fair, through buying a snack at McDonalds to even checking in in Foursquare. It's all possible thanks to the NFC technology and when you combined it with a readily programmable NFC chip such as the one in a smartphone, it has the potential to revolutionize how we make those microtransactions in our daily lives.

The reason for the lack of NFC in the next iPhone seems to be that Apple are concerned that there is no clear standard for NFC across the industry. Another rumor suggests Apple is in the process of making its own NFC-driven technology. This way or the other, NFC is not coming to the iPhone 5.

This cannot be confirmed, though, so take it with a pinch of salt.

BMW Alpina B7 brought back for 2011

BMW has stated several times that it has no plans to do an official M version of the current F01 7 Series, but that doesn't mean it won't offer a hotter version of its flagship sedan courtesy of Alpina.

At next month's Chicago Auto Show, BMW will be reviving the Alpina B7, and while the sweet 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 remains under the hood, the dial has been turned up from the stock 400 horsepower to a full 500 hp, along with 516 pound-feet of twist. That should be enough to catapult the big sedan to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

By itself, big power is useless unless spend all your time at the drag strip and the 7 Series is capable of so much more. Handling has long been a BMW hallmark and the 21-inch, 20-spoke Alpina wheels wrapped in Michelin PS2 rubber should provide plenty of grip for directional changes and positive and negative acceleration. A deeper front air dam and a rear decklid spoiler help keep the car glued to the pavement at autobahn level velocities, while inside the B7 coddles its occupants in upgraded leather and wood trim.

SMS Supercars shows off first photos of its new 620 Camaro

Steve Saleen is continuing his foray into building specialty cars other than Mustangs, and after launching the production of its 570 and 570X Challenger last year, his new company, SMS Supercars, has started the new year off right by releasing the first images of the upcoming 620 Camaro.

Using the SS model with the 6.2-liter V8 as a starting platform, the SMS 620 Camaro features much of the same design elements as the Challenger including the side induction hood, five-spoke wheels, and Alcantara and leather seats. Power is increased via an SMS supercharger system that boosts the LS3 V8 to 575 horsepower and 600 pound-feet torque. Like the Challenger, an "X" model is also available that includes additional engine modifications good for 715 hp and 700 lb-ft torque as well as upgraded suspension, brakes, differential, and wheels.

Like the SMS 460 Mustang, the 620 Camaro is currently only in illustrated form, but the production version should be ready sometime in the second quarter of 2010.

Take a look at the field of 2010 SuperGT competitors and something's amiss. Nissan's been campaigning its new GT-R in the series for two years and Honda recently revealed the HSV-010 before its inaugural run in the series this May. What's missing? A new competitor from Toyota.

Jyuichi Wakisaka and Andre Lotterer took the overall GT500 win in the team's Lexus SC430 last year, but that model is not long for this world, so it's just a matter of time before Toyota fields a new car in the series. So what's set to take the SC430's place? The answer's obvious: the Lexus LFA.

Although Toyota's yet to confirm the LFA's entrance (we're expecting an announcement later this year), Iain Chandler, a skilled 3D artist hailing from Australia, has rendered a GT500-class LFA, complete with six sets of livery. While it's far from official it's a pretty good indication of what to expect when Toyota finally pulls the trigger, and Lotterer seems to approve – he posted the images on his site.

NUU Player runs Boxee on Atom

D-Link's Boxee Box might be the Tegra 2-powered star of CES, but it's not the only hardware running Boxee -- NUU Media's NUU player runs the grown-up version of XBMC on an Atom processor alongside some other custom apps. It's also got a 160GB local hard drive and runs a WebKit browser, compared to no local storage and Mozilla on the Boxee Box. What's more, there's also a Skype app and Bluetooth support, so you'll be able to make and take calls from the couch using a headset. Of course, all that means it'll cost "around $300" instead of the Box's "under $200" when it launches around March, but we know some of you might spend the extra coin for the more home theater-rack friendly form factor alone.

We're suckers for slow motion video, and Casio's clearly tapped into a vast supply of FPS to feed our cravings. The latest in its series of high speed cameras is the Exilim EX-FH100 point and shoot. It does 10 megapixel stills, high speed burst capture and up to 1,000 FPS video. Like with other Casio models, the higher the frame rate, the lower the resolution, but you can get a full VGA image at 120 FPS. At $349 it's practically a bargain if you absolutely need to do slow motion, and while it's a bit chubby and heavy in comparison to "fashionable" point and shoots, it's plenty capable as a stills camera to keep this from being a one trick pony.
