If you want to know What's going on in Doha, you should know what's going on now in Syria! Seems Hamas find it inevitable from moving forward with the Palestinian reconciliation after the recent developments in Syria and the dilemma of the geopolitical complicated situation they are facing in Syria! What's the new in the Doha agreement that was missing in Mecca and Cairo agreements?! The seriousness and the flexibility of Hamas attitudes will play a great role in implementing this agreement otherwise as a long as the circumstances that led to the disruption of implementing of the previous accords, still exist, nothing new will happen, more than fail in the peace process and the negotiations with Israel.

Is it the same ugly face of the what so called "Arab Spring" which people don't want to admit or to see, or maybe we should blame president Mubarak again?! If they are not able to organise and to provide safety for 30000 people in a football match! How they are going to provide that for 80 000 000 ?! What happened yesterday in the soccer game proves what president Mubarak said before "Arabs are not ready for democracy" and this is so true, if they are not able to accept each other differences on the level of a football match, how they can lead the country?! During president Mubarak era this never happened! Apparently it will take too much time to see the colors of the what so called "Arab Spring" flowers which another color will dominate it. "Congratulations Egypt".

I wonder what Those Armenian mercenaries are doing in Bethlehem?! They act as if they posses any rights in the Nativity church, which it was built by Byzantine Greeks and still owned and run by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate. They (The Armenians) were granted the northern corner of the church to pray in just as a result of the Berlin treaty in 1878 regarding the Status Quo in the holy places in Bethlehem and Jerusalem. I can't understand why they don't do that with the Turks who still refuse to apologise for the Armenian genocide!?! Armenian Churches burned by Azeris in Nagorno Karabakh and they didn't do anything!!

Rencontres Internationales, that will take place in Madrid on April 16-25 at the Reina Sofia National Museum, the CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, the Spanish Cinematheque, the Madrid Tabacalera (future National Centre of Visual Arts) and the Ministry of Culture, Would like to program "Tashweesh" (Distortion) in the frame of a special video library dedicated to documentaries. This selection is a genuine part of the programming, built upon specific themes. This video library dedicated to any audience and professional, will be proposed during the whole duration of the festival, at the CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, the first contemporary art centre in the Region of Madrid. This video library will allow press and professionals to discover a rare documentary selection throughout the duration of the festival and beyond. The Madrid screening will be the 3rd screening after two screenings in Paris and Berlin in the late 2008 and early 2009.

During the year 1989 a glowing conflict was taking place between the Israeli
army and the young Palestinians, in that year Saed, a 13 years old from Bethlehem was the goalkeeper of the Salesian football club youth team, this football club faced a very hard situation during that conflict which led this team to collapse and to lose it's position as one of the best teams in Palestine, many of the players left the club to abroad. Milad 12 years old was one of the team players and Saed's close friend was killed during confrontations with Israeli soldiers in the 5th of May 1989.

At that day around 10 AM I remember how I was arguing with Milad about whether we should attack the military camp in the center of Bethlehem or should we go to the football team training at 2.30 PM? Milad has chosen the first choice I have chosen the second choice. ! Milad was a tough left hand stone thrower, but the choice of the position to attack from wasn't suitable for those who use their left hand, it was hard for him to protect himself and to use the left hand at the same!! What an irony! It was too late to change the position…Is it a technical mistake or bad choice or what? Or I was supposed to be more stubborn with him and to convince him to go to the training? Me and other team members, all left, simply disappeared at one fine day…The team gets separated! I really wonder what are you doing now guys!!

A year later the signs of the Soviet Union collapse began to appear and the communist party is not anymore thrilling me… A new era started...

16 years later Saed returns back to his football club to know and to understand what happened in that period from a different point of view and to open the file of his memories through his coach and the club manager in that period, it was so hard for them to talk about it anymore in spite of the personal relation between Saed And them, a complicated feelings prevailed on the atmosphere of making this film, it was like a continue of a match that Saed started before 16 years. "Second Halftime" 21 min short film, was a try to document this story from a personal point of view in the year 2005.
Recently a close and special friend of mine just reminded me with that movie, I don't know why I started to think again about this film and if I will be able to do it once again but from a different perspective and deeper understanding of the consequences of losing a close friend of mine which led me to a re-consideration of my political views and believes at that time untill today. I think It was possible for me to prevent that from happening!

20 years passed since the last Soviet soldier withdrawal from Afghanistan, in this day 20 years ago Igor Belov a virtual friend of mine and a former Soviet soldier who participated in that war, started a new life after three years of fighting in the Hindu Kush mountains, is now facing another war in the American courts accused of being a murderer with the Russian mafia, he defeated the American court and won the case and now they are accusing him of violating the immigration laws and the authorities in his homeland and in his city Petrozavodsk is tracking him as well,,, His war in Afghanistan against extremists is not far away from his conscious, The repercussions of his war in Afghanistan is still accompanying him in his war in the American courts.

Three days of consecutive airstrikes, 350 martyrs and 1700 injured, is that not enough for Hamas leadership to accept the Palestinian President's appeal for dialogue and reconciliation and to unite the Palestinian front against this Israeli attack? During the two weeks preceding the attack, Israel was launching an international campaign and preparing the World public opinion for this attack on Gaza! A comprehensive coverage in The Arab and the international media for these Israeli threatens, even if you ask a little kid in the streets what will happened? He will tell you Israel will strike Gaza! In the midst of all this, unfortunately the Hamas leadership was worried and busy about how they can insult the president Abbas and cruse him and threatening him with the impending end of his presidency by the ninth of January, without showing any kind of respect to the Egyptian mediation in order to end the Palestinian division and to restore the truce, all these reckless and unwise actions created the fertile ground for this crime.

Since Hamas's took over of Gaza by a military coup and it’s obvious to all that a regional agenda and hidden wish for Iran and its alliance started to be implemented in the region, to create a state of tension and instability in the region in general and on the Egyptian borders particularly, Gaza strip is the appropriate place for that and Hamas is the key player in this game and an instrument in the hands of the Iranian regime. Hamas has involved itself in this context through the admission of bargaining with the Iranian regime to continue financial and military support in exchange for not reconciliation with the Palestinian Authority which led the Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to increase the financial aid to Hamas to 150 million USD.

How surprised by those people who are loyal to outsiders at the expense of their compatriots and is ready to lead their own people for the destruction just for their regional interests? They are not ready to lose 150 million USD, but its ok for them to see Gaza erased from the map! An Arab league summit is considered by them as surrender and if it will take place in Cairo then it will be considered non neutral ground, maybe Tehran is ok?! Just the fact that they are not ready to show any kind of solidarity and unity and even further attacking and insulting the Palestinian leadership, and accusing Egypt as a facilitator for this crime.

I guess Hamas and the whole Palestinian people are in turning point, nobody knows to what extent would continue this game! The ball is in Hamas playground and they still have the opportunity to say their word, if they are care for no more victims.
