I'm Alive and Well, Thank You Very Much

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Fri, 06 Oct 2017 01:11:00 +0000

It is a little uncomfortable that after four years of hiatus, I am re-activating this blog in such a time when blogging has been put to bad light in relation to the many series of #FakeNews lurking in social media.

But yes, I'm alive and well, thank you very much.

He Must Have Been Laughing

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Mon, 23 Sep 2013 14:20:00 +0000

The man must have been laughing these days.

Surely the tides have turned. The very "honorable" senators who voted a year ago for his impeachment due to his failure to trutfully disclose his assets and liabilities are now the subject of scrutiny for the alleged misuse of their respective PDAF.

"Araw mo ngayon, sa iba naman bukas".

Balitang Pampalakasan

Me reklamo ka?
Empleyado 1: Wala. Ikaw, meron?
Empleyado 2: Wala din.

In Denial

Days of Summer

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Sat, 23 Feb 2013 03:23:00 +0000

How do you make a Summer Camp different from the previous?

Have been attending the yearly summer camp for at least 15 years now, and now it rests upon our shoulders to stir up the crowd and make this a life-changing experience.

Blank for now :(

Coffee and Tea

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Mon, 04 Feb 2013 08:34:00 +0000

They sit there, face to face, two friends staring, waiting for each other to probably pop up some questions that could somehow define the next course of their lives. He takes a sip from his cup of coffee; she glances by the hot steam that billows out of her tea.

She asks, "how do you see it in 20 years time"? His answer, non-commital, was, "probably just the same as now". Though expected, it comes as a hint that probably there wouldn't be a future between the two of them.

They stood up, two friends, and started walking side by side as if nothing that they talked about has, or will make a difference in their relationship.

They promised to see each other, being the best of friends that they are.

And then, it was goodbye.

Muli

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Tue, 29 Jan 2013 14:48:00 +0000

158 noong 2009.
61 noong 2010.
31 noong 2011.

Susubukan kong muli.

Dolphy, RIP

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Tue, 10 Jul 2012 12:54:00 +0000

Twitter is abuzz as there are now tweet reports circulating that the King of Comedy, Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr., more popularly known as Dolphy, has died.

Need to confirm if this is true.

Decisions, decisions.

To be or not to be.
To pursue or not to pursue.

Until then, decisions will have to be made.

Soon.

Never Will Be

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Mon, 05 Mar 2012 11:29:00 +0000

She's the topnotch junior staff; and the only thing that matters is when she will finally move up to that high level managerial position.

On the other, he's that "it" staff from the other department-the humble, unassuming guy who works his best, and consistently gets recognition from the ins and outs of the company.

They're miles apart in terms of work functions, yet somehow, they would eventually forge an unlikely friendship for the simple reason that their high intellect minds meet at a certain level; a meeting that would transcend even beyond the intricacies of work.

They could somehow be a perfect pair, only but for one reason.

She's married.

Sinking

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Fri, 24 Feb 2012 09:35:00 +0000

It's that sinking feeling knowing it wouldn't be there anymore.

Oftentimes, goodbyes are painful.

Mayweather-Pacquiao Fight in May 2012

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Wed, 11 Jan 2012 03:39:00 +0000

Floyd Mayweather Jr. taunts anew Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao in his twitter, saying, "Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see".

Previous negotiations for this much-awaited boxing fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather have gone off following Mayweather's extraordinary conditions (blood test mesures, profit sharing, etc.).

It has become pretty annoying for Pretty Boy Floyd to once again bad-mouth and belittle the Pacman in his press releases, and so it is but rightful for us Filipinos to retaliate with his latest twitter challenge.

Let all Filipinos and boxing fans say, "Whatever, Floyd. Whatever!"

Jinkee Pacquiao: Enhanced Magazine Cover Photo

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Wed, 04 Jan 2012 18:50:00 +0000

I mean, what's wrong if Jinkee Pacquiao's photo in a Mega Magazine's January issue cover has been enhanced?

Don't we all want to look good in public?

Dear Mr. President

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Thu, 08 Dec 2011 06:38:00 +0000

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing as a citizen of this country. No, you don't know me, Sir, and neither do many of our contrymen recognize me because I'm just this ordinary Filipino citizen who does an ordinary work and lives an ordinary life.

I am writing, even though I didn't vote for you (and I don't deny to anyone that I voted for an unpopular candidate), because the moment you won in the elections and took that mandate of leading this country, you became my president and I became your constituent.

Mr. President, one and a half year has passed since you assumed office. One and a half year has also passed but all I saw in my limited mind was how the government has been turned into a big prosecutor's office whose main priority is to file charges and find fault against our former president. And while there is nothing wrong with running after her misdeeds, it seems that the more pressing issues on poverty and economic development has been grossly neglected.

While some intelectual groups may argue that doing business has become better in the Philippines because corruption has lessen, the ordinary people don't care about it.

The ordinary people's simple concrens are higher salaries and lower costs of living.

Unfortunately, Mr. President, to my humble knowledge, no salary increases has been given since your term. Instead, what we have experienced are the continuous increase in oil prices, toll increase, electricity power rate hike, and a lot more increases in the common tao's daily expenses.

We carry on like this for the rest of your term, and we will see more people migrating and working abroad. We carry on like this and we will see more people getting poorer and hungrier.

But four and a half more years are still ahead. That is, to say, there is still time for change.

Mr. President, your people are waiting.

It is your time. Now is it.

I Miss Writing And I Mean It

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Sat, 19 Nov 2011 09:29:00 +0000

I miss writing and I mean it.

I have been into a very great ordeal lately, and sadly, this has caused me to neglect my passion. But fear not, my dear passion. The time is coming and it is near.

We shall meet again.

Soon.

Shamcey Supsup Wins

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Mon, 12 Sep 2011 15:12:00 +0000

Make no mistake about it.

The Miss Universe 2011 Coronation Night is scheduled tommorrow night. Our bet, Binibining Pilipinas Universe Shamcey Supsup, they say, has a very good chance of winning; but whether she gets the coveted crown or not, she is definitely already a winner.

Let her come home a week or two after the event:

• and a lot of television talk shows will definitely book her for an interview.

• and ABS-CBN, GMA 7, and now, Manny Pangilinan's ABC 5 will surely entice her to join their bandwagon of talents.

• and funnyman Vic Sotto will definitely consider her to be his leading lady for the upcoming Enteng Kabisote series.

• and Willie or Manny will offer her to become co-host in their respective game shows.

• plus loads of commercial endorsements for a shampoo or a soap or whatever beauty care product.

Indeed, we are a country where entertainment, sports, fashion and politics are intertwined together, you wouldn't know which is black or which is white.

A Bachelor For A President

noreply@blogger.com (siyetehan) — Thu, 08 Sep 2011 12:16:00 +0000

A whole loads of problems that the Philippines encounters at the moment, and what we see in the Yahoo headlines are two separate news stories about the President's love affairs.

Ikaw na!

Ikaw na ang maging binatang presidente!

I'll be back and write but for now........

I'm sorry.
