Why people rather stream for videos than downloading them?

Well, first of all people rather stream for videos because it saves their time and effort in searching the video. For example, you can use youtube to search for music videos. All you need to do is just type in the name of the music video and it will stream to you. Where else downloading requires you to choose the perfect file and user, sometimes it could be slower than streaming.

Besides that, some people prefer to watch the movie once after that they will get bored of the movie. For example blockbuster movie, each time a new movie is made and people would want to watch the latest movie. Certain downloading software such as kazaa or limewire does'nt offer the latest movie.

Thirdly, the government prefer the people to stream rather than download. In a way is call 'pirated version' but the government allows user to stream for their favorite video.

Do you know that the government can check what you download through your ip address?

Tudou.com Vs Youtube.com. This 2 online media sites have been competing for many years. Tudou.com is more famous among the Asians yet Youtube.com is known around the world. The reason Youtube.com is more preferable because it has many different language for users to choose. On the other hand, Tudou.com is fully in Chinese wordings, therefore, it is limited to some users only.

The main reason why Tudou.com is more preferable in Asia is because the videos uploaded are longer duration compared to Youtube.com. For example, users may want to watch Chinese drama online, but the videos in Youtube.com are shorter. Therefore, it is very troublesome for users to open different parts of the videos to complete an episode.

Both these media sites required the same plug-in, which is the Adobe Flash Player. The speed of both these media sites are depending on the duration of the video and the speed of the user's Internet line.

Many users in China today prefer to watch dramas or TV news through Todou.com instead of watching from the TV. It is because they can watch it anything time they want and they may choose from the media site itself. No matter what, Youtube.com still holds the record for the most viewers online media site. On the other hand, Todou.com is the highest minutes watched per-day among all the online media sites because of the videos posted are all longer duratio

There are many online media sites to watch trailers. For example, Youtube.com, Metacafe.com, Megavideo.com and many more. All these sites are specialize for streaming any videos, from news, dramas, animation, short clips and others.

Using Apple.com/trailers to watch trailers is very different compared to all these typical online media site. Apple.com/trailers is a web site made specially to watch the latest movie trailers. It is so different because the video quality can be choosen by the users. Different user uses different Internet speed. Therefore, if the user's Internet speed is slow, he may choose the lower quality video to watch because it does not take that much time. On the other hand, if the user uses fast Internet connection speed, he may watch the highest quality.

Apple.com/trailers uses plug-in like any other online media sites. It uses Quick-time Player to stream the videos. There are many other features available in this media site, for example, it provides the latest Box Office Movies for users as guides. Any trailers can be found in this site including old movies to the latest movies.

Some people will use hulu.com instead of youtube is because firsly they prefer the features that are offered by Hulu.com such as they divide the channels into different catogeries to suite the audiences such as home and garden, science fiction, sports, food and leisure etc.

Besides that, when you log into hulu.com, you will find an interesting advertisment on the main page which will change every few seconds. This advertisement attracts audience to view it and use it as well. Hence, they have a wide range of videos, music, and clips for audiences to search.

Nevertheless, each trailer, video, clips or music have their own rating which shows the audience whether this video is excellent or just average. They also provide a video panel widget for audience to copy the link of the video and post it somewhere else.

It will be inconvinient for users if they wish to search for other artist from other countries.

Crunchyroll is an American online website and International online community focused on streaming Asian Entertainment including anime, manga, drama, music, and auto racing content. Founded in 2006 by a group of University of California, Berkely undergraduate students. Crunchyroll allows users to stream videos in the web site. If registered users, they may upload videos after log in to their accounts. There are many features in crunchyroll, for example, in the web site itself, there is a forum for registered users and non-registered users. The forum is for them to have discussion on the videos uploaded, videos that should be uploaded and topic of the latest videos.

Next, Crunchyroll also provides reviews on the videos uploaded. The summary of the video and also review if the video is worth to watch. Then, registered users may customize the layout of their account by adding avatar to their account. They may also subscribe for the news update of Crunchyroll if there is any related videos uploaded.

Lastly, Crunchyroll is unlike other online media sites. Crunchyroll do not allow users to upload non-copyright videos. Videos that need permission from the original creator cannot be uploaded on Crunchyroll. Therefore, Crunchyroll does not breaks the copyright law like other online media sites.

Secondly, 14% of the voters chooses Haoting to download and listen to their chinese music. Haoting is also popular among the people but it has several disadvantages such as music not update which makes users reluctant to use this site.

Recently, I had discovered a new online media site for streaming videos and movies. This website offers a software which enables user to watch their movie instantly. The streaming is very very fast compared to other online media sites. This online media site which provides this software is called PPStream.

PPStream is a chinese peer-to-peer streaming video network software. Now PPStream has english version, and P2P technology relies on users and majority of channels are from Eastern Asia, mostly China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. According to the chart, 57% of the voters which is the majority uses Imeem to stream and listen to their music. The other 43% of the voters does not use Imeem.

More people prefer to use Imeem because it is user friendly and free. Besides that, users can stream unlimited music as well as building playlist which allows them to upload their own music.

There are a small portion of people that did not use Imeem to stream their music. Due to several factors such as they prefer to listen to chinese song, or they are not familiar on how to use Imeem or they did not heart of the website before.

So the majority of the voters prefer to use youtube because it is the most popular social online media sites among people and it has many advantages and certainly user friendly. Besides that, the uploading and streaming of the video is quite fast which makes users enjoy using this site. In addition, the search engine has a wide coverage which means user can search for any topic or choices of movie and it could be found.

The other 18 percent of the voters prefers to use metacafe, they mostly uses them so stream movies when they are on their free time. Mostly adults uses them because they can watch a movie that they miss after working hours. The other 7 percent of the voters chooses hulu online media site.
