one of the main purposes of opening an etsy shop

was to destash my collections.

and i have steadily been doing that for the last year and a half.

i need just a few more sales to hit number 2500.

but now i am getting into serious stuff~

my studio, aka the basement.

which until now has pretty much been left untouched.

but not anymore. some of my most recent listings have

been from down there.

and here is another one. some cool old brass cafe curtain rings.

i know that january is the traditional "get organized" month,

but i am a little slow this year.

i started reorganizing my studio.. aka "the basement"

a couple of days ago.

it is going to be a long process.

i hope to be done by june.

my computer is going to be leaving the dining room

table and going to be set up down there

where all the "stuff" is.

after all my etsy shop is all about

destashing.

maybe i'll share some work-in-progress posts

along the way.

i've had this 1940's tray for awhile.

it's design reminds me of the living room draperies

from my childhood home.

but it needed something to make it really special.

a recent private sale yielded just the thing.

a great selection of buttons from the same decade.

i had fun going through them stacking them up.

adding some magnets.

i love the soft gold, brown, cream, and black together.

after the christmas rush was over

i took some time off from my etsy shop

to do some cleaning up and reorganizing.

one of things i needed was a new backdrop

for my photographs.

my other one was too small

so i repainted an old shed door a fresh white.

recycled materials.

i love how easy it is to

take photos with my new setup.
