Today, 25th August 2009 AT&T release firmware upgrade for BlackBerry Bold (v4.6.0.508) as shown below.

They've made a lot of improvements in this update

Network switch (2G only and 3G&2G)
Better memory management (before upgrade, after hard reset I only have 20 MB now I have 42 MB!! So happy LoL)
Better 3G signal locking
Better performance
Longer battery life
Better Call Quality
Can add up to 2 emails per contact (other than MSN n Yahoo account)
Others (Hopefully, since I just upgraded it and haven't noticed any other things yet. Any update will be posted here)

What you need to do to get these update?

Simple, just need to plug in you BlackBerry Handheld device to your PC/Notebook using the Cable Data, and open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Every time you connect your BlackBerry Device the software will check whether got any update(s) or not. If got then you just need to press "Update Now". (DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR DATA!)

How to fully BackUp your BlackBerry Device including third-apps software

How to BackUp you Blackberry handheld including third-party application?

Before I tell you how, I want to explain what is the important of Backing Up your device.

Let say something goes wrong with your device after upgrade/downgrade your device and you need to do a clean OS install to your phone, after you finished installing the OS, there's no application which you had before inside your phone, even after you restore all the data.

Now I'll tell you how do it.

Plug-in your Blackberry Device to your computer using the Cable Data and open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. (If you don't have, you can download from here, it's free)
Click the Device Switch Wizard.
Click the start button under the Switch BlackBerry Device.
Under the Option, make sure you tick all the checkbox and then click Next.
Wait until the "Please connect your new device" pop-up appear. (DO NOT CLICK CANCEL!)
Open My Computer and go to C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Temp\ (make sure you can see the hidden folder, Tools - Folder Options - go to second tab and choose "Show hidden folder" something like that)
Look for a folder which written your PIN number and copy/cut it to a safe place.

That's it!!

How to Restore it

Connect your Device and open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Click the "Application Loader"
Click the left Start
Browse the folder you just moved and open it and choose [PIN].alx

Done!

New Social Network, Hikawan

The the new social network, Hikawan has just been launched.

It is the first Malaysian Social Network. Inside there, I find something different about this social site, something like combination between all social network (Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, etc).

The registration process is very simple, when you open the homepage

Fill you information properly and fill the captcha Click Continue.

After finish with the Registration, Sign In and you'll see something like this

Miss Indonesia 2009

The new Miss Indonesia 2009 has been chosen.

The lucky girl was Kerenina Sunny Halim from DKI Jakarta.

But did you know that she can't speak a proper Indonesian?!

From what I know, if you represent your country (Indonesia in this case), you must speak your national language (in this case Indonesian).

She even need a translator to make her understand what the judges asked. (It is very shameful!)

Well that's the fact and this makes me keep thinking and laughing, why must she represent Indonesia while she herself can't even speak a proper Indonesian Language???!

Is it because she is pretty? Or what?

From the article that I read recently, she was half-American and she didn't go to a formal school. Her first plan is to learn Indonesian Language, culture, etc.

That's Cool =)

OK that's enough talking about the negative side of her, lets talk about her positive side.

After browse the net I found that she might be capable to do this, why?

She answer all the question calm and comfident.
Her answer short, straight to the point, but in a brilliant way.
She holds 6 diplomas (public relations, sales and marketing, primary school teaching, economics, performing arts and music and art.

Well All the best for her, hope she can bring home the Crown of Miss Universe 2009.

NB: We must support her so that other countries won't take easy on us and we can show them what Indonesia can do!

How to hide Text into Picture

What is this?

This is also called Encryption method. But this method is known as Steganography.

What is the different between Cryptography and Steganography?

Cryptography is where the information is scrambled, while Steganography just hide the information

How to encrypt it?

You need to have a picture with BMP or PNG (other format cannot!)
Open your web browser such as IE (Internet Explorer) or Mozilla Firefox, etc.
Type http://utilitymill.com/utility/Steganography_Encode inside your address bar.
Click Browse and choose the Picture/Image file.
Inside the "Text to Hide" box, put any text you want and then click Go!
Save it to your computer.

How to decrypt it?
Basically it has the same procedure, but you might need to change the address to http://utilitymill.com/utility/Steganography_Decode

Click Browse and select the file and then click Go!

See the output below the Go! button.

NB: In this case I'm using Text into Picture. This is quite hard to detect since if you open the picture, it's just a picture. So....... Have fun!!

iPod Touch BSD Root Repair + Jailbreak 1.1.4

If our iPod touch or your iPhone goes BSD Root like the screenshot below

Don't panic! Here's the solution!!

1. Press the power and home button at the same time until off

2. After that hold the home button and plug the usb cable until the iTunes logo appear.

3. Open ZiPhone and then click the Advanced Features and click the Normal Mode or you can use iTunes 7.5.
NB: If you choose iTunes 7.5 to restore your iPod Touch/iPhone to normal mode, don't forget to hold SHIFT key before clicking the Restore button.

4. When the process have finished, you'll see your iPod Touch/iPhone back to normal.

IF YOU WANT TO JAILBREAK YOUR IPOD TOUCH/IPHONE THAN FOLLOW STEP NO.5

5. Open the ZiPhone and then click Jailbreak (for iPod Tocuh) and Do It All! (For iPhone)

6. Wait until the process done and that's it.

PS: This method is for 1.1.1 - 1.1.5 firmware. Haven't try 2.x firmware yet.

Stupid Guy

Last Monday (June 1, 2009) I went back to my hometown from Malaysia using AirAsia.

My flight is 8.00pm, but then due to some maintenance it was delayed until 8.55pm. They said they need to change/add some air to the tire (something like that, can't remember).

Ok, after the maintenance finished, we are ready to take-off.

During the flight, some stupid or maybe idiot guy (sorry) didn't follow some rules that had been created and that rule was quite fatal. He didn't switched off his phone.

In the middle of the journey, his phone "singing" and he act as nothing happened. Everyone who sit in the first row (including me) looked at him.

After that he messaging.

What make me shocked was the stewardess and the steward do nothing to him even he/she saw it.

I was just thinking what if because of him, the plane crashed??

Budget Taxi with Premium Facilities

Last Sunday me and my friend, Davin went to Sunway Pyramid, Subang.

We've been waiting so long to get a taxi. Every taxi we stopped, they refuse to go to that area or they charge us very high.

After waiting almost 30 mins, finally there's one taxi that want to take us to Sunway. Ever since we asked the driver, something's different about the taxi. Normally we need to open the door and ask, this one he open the window (WOW!) and said OK!

Phew! Finally can get taxi.

After go inside the taxi, first thing I saw was a GPS! Wow.. That's quite rare! While I'm looking at his GPS, suddenly he switched on the music. I thought that was only a CD player, but hold on... He opened mini TV! (WEW!! >.<) I was quite shocked and start thinking "Is this really a budget taxi?"

After we reached Sunway, I asked my friend "Is that a budget taxi?" then he said "He's the owner of the taxi, not only rent the taxi". And then since that day, everytime I want to use taxi I always dreaming "hopefully I'll get the same taxi or taxi with similar facilities!" LoL

Nowadays Paid To Click (PTC) is very popular.

For most people it is their second income.

I just find out that this PTC site pay us $1 for a single click.

The step is quite easy.

1. You go to this site.

2. Fill out your information correctly (If you don't mind for the Refferal please put SuniB).

3. Check your email to activate the account.

4. Login with your account and press the Surf Ads.

5. Choose the Paid to Clicks, Click here.

6. They will give you lists of ads that can be clicked, but remember to do it 1-1, if not your account will be banned.
