It is really saddening to note the comments this all rounder made in Pakistan yesterday. It smacked of the political compulsions of a politician rather than an honest assessment of a grave situation by an international sporting personality who had a great reputation.While on a drive to recruit members for his political party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) he had made unwarranted remarks against India.The same India that had given him a great welcome every time he visited us.The following are my concerns on his remarks

1- The Indian Planes had entered and voilated the Pakistani air space

2-Hamid Gul the former ISI chief should not
have been listed as terrorist by the UN

3-Jamaat-ut-Daawa,should not have been banned by the UN

4-India should prove that Pakistan was involved in Mumbai blasts.Unless proved Pakistan is not guilty.

5-I wish the shoe had hit George Bush.

Here are my replies to all his points raised.

1-India voilating Pak air space- Mr Imran if you don't trust your President,its your problem.He is on record regarding the same that there was no intentional voilations.

2-Hamid Gul is no terrorist- A person with dubious background and threatening India over the television of using nuclear power cannot be a saint or peace loving person.He deserves the terrorist and extremist tag more than anyone else living in this world.

3-Jamaat ul Dawa should not have been banned--Imran khan,any organisation that perpetrates massacre on innocent vicitims in Mumbai cannot be a civilized one.It needs to be banned from this planet.

4-I would like to ask him if he is in touch with all the evidences that are being beamed over Indian channels and print media in addition to the international dignatories carrying the same before touring Pakistan from India.

5- Imran's wish that the shoe should have hit Bush----- I think that's the worst comment coming from a person who claims to be well mannered,astute,proven sports personality.I never imagined in my my wildest dreams that he could say such a thing.

Imran,this day you lost all your prestige and respect in India which had given you more than what you deserved.If you have your political compulsions I am saddened to note that you could stoop so low.The dignity tag that you carried with you was burn't in the grave.If Pakistan is your country and you are emotional about it so are WE INDIANS.Instead of sympathetic words you have added to our injuries.

Let all the Indians who played host to him know that they too have their duty,sincerity towards the motherland.Let them severe all contact with this friend of theirs who is adding insult to national injuries.The film industry and corporate world should wake up now and severe all relations with him.If even now,you wish to claim his friendship then I would definitely support Mr Bal Thackery's view- Such people should go to Pakistan.I hope your concious is still alive.

Mumbai Blasts- The Indian 9/11

The terrorists attacks in Mumbai on 26/11 and the American 9/11 have so many similarities.Both the countries were caught unware of the deadly scenes ahead.It is really shocking to note the reoccurence of such inhuman crimes against innocent people.The global war on terrorism has not atleast practically shown the will and determination to fight this menace of terrorism.The brave statements of our leaders have no buyers these days and the people have come to take them as a routine stuff.

The Global war on terrorism has not done anything adequate to thwart the designs of terrorists spread all over the world.What India witnessed in Mumbai can happen to any country showing the vulnerability of soft targets.The lack of co-ordinated effort and the sheer determination of participating countries of war on terrorism have been highlighted time and again.The sheer will and determination to fight the global war on terrorism is missing.What has happened in Pakistan is a prime example where the intelligence inputs were leaked to terrorist groups.Even,the US President has expressed concern over leakage of vital information.This needs to be taken care of by all the participating countries so that the common objectives of the war are achieved.

It would also be important to note the role of intelligence agencies.What happened in Mumbai is a real pointer to this.It is the intelligence failure and the lack of political will that are the two major contributing factors towards the repeated terrorist attacks.It needs to be remembered that terrorism should never be related to religion as the terrorists do not belong to any religion.They have no affiliations as such to the religion.They just use religion to meet their agenda of perpuating barbaric acts.So, its important that we realise this as early as possible.It would be better if we pool all our energy and resources in fighting the common enemy rather than protecting religion based terrorists.Had it been so, this would never have happened.However, it's never late in life so begin it right now.

The

dastardly scenes in the Mumbai massacre scripted by the terrorists and the putting uo of the entire city to ransom should not be allowed to raise its ugly head again.This can only be achieved if we don't make the same mistakes again.Let's all stand united and fight this menace.We should not give the impression that the terrorist attacks have affected us.Let all activities take place normally rather than postponing them.Doing so, would only serve the terrorists purpose.The recent calling of England's cricket tour of India should have been avoided,I fully agree with Ian Botham's view,that we should not act as per the designs of terrorists.I think with the passage of time all of us would become wise before it is too late.

Scripting Life

The other day, while I was on a drive along with my 10 year old son,I was shocked to hear him say,"Papa, why India is not like foreign countries."?.Why there is so much traffic and so many people around ?.I knew what he meant to say? Like any norrnal human being he too did not like the air,noise,water and environmental pollution.I had a hard time convincing him that India is a great country rich in cultural heritage,ancient civilization,greatest democracy with secular credentials which not many can boast of.However, on deeper thoughts, I realized that I too, like a seasoned political leader was parroting a well drafted speech on a Republic Day, which someone else had written for me.Can we escape from the reality? The answer is a big "NO".

I think the fault lies in our upbringing where we are trained to pass on the buck for any fault to others.Do we ever try to give ourselves a life we really wish to lead ?Cant we contribute a little in ensuring that we do not pollute air, water, noise etc along with keeping the population under control.I think we can do atleast this much and rest shall follow.Doing our work honestly and sincerely and to the best of our ability would then contribute immensely to making it a paradise on earth.

This would be possible only if we are willing to follow the script written by us as to how we want to lead our life.Even while being physically intimate , we must ensure that we dont forget that we do not add unnecessarily to the BLUE BILLION. It is a proven fact in all fields of life that it is the quality and not the quantity that matters.So folks, give yourself a life you dream of and you have every reason to enjoy it.I wish that day, I could make my little son promise that he wont contribute more than what is required.Make an attempt atleast.Its not that difficult.

Handling Hype -- 1 lakh Car

It is really surprising to note the hysteria over Rs. 1 lac car by the Tatas. With all the humility and logical sense at my command, like every Indian I would love to raise a toast to celebrate this event.My celebrations are confined to the technological brilliance of our great businessmen.When I ponder beyond it and visualize the impact it will have to the lives of millions of people,I have my fingers crossed.This however, should not take the credit away from the Tatas ,who have delivered what they promised despite all the agitations.But are we really going to benefit is the 'Million Dollar rather Million Rupee Question'?

I have been constantly trying to make people aware of the implications of Population Explosion and the lack of basic infrastructure.Like a responsible citizen of this great country,I am disturbed with the over crowded cities and lack of the right kind of infrastructure and civic amenities.These are the basic requisites for a healthy and peaceful life. We keep over reacting to things that may still be categorised as necessities for the developing world. We keep building hype over issues which do not affect the lives of majority of the population.I think this wonder car is one of the brightest examples in this regard.

The car has been launched as per the national and international marketing strategies of the makers.However, do we have the right infrastructure to give them the space to be driven on the roads.?The parking of existing cars is a major problem these days and just imagine when every two wheeler owner starts buying a car what will be its impact on our roads.I can assure you if we do not take necessary steps to control our environment, air and noise pollution , population , we shall be heading towards a situation which will be beyond human control.

Finally,lets not rejoice on non issues but ponder seriously over the real ones.Winning a twenty twenty world cup, brooding over racial remarks or the performance of cricketers should not be the only topics of our drawing discussions.Evading real issues could invite comments like the one from ICC chief "I am not interested in how much money the BCCI has but I am more interested in the number of championships the Indian cricket team has won". I think such signals should be taken in the right spirit.Likewise, someone may come out with this statement "Although India has made the cheapest car yet they need to take care of their infrastructure first".I think it will be hard to swallow.Let's focus on the real issues that govern the lives of millions of our people and not get over board with the ones like "1 lac car". This is a harsh reality which we cannot ignore. Do you agree?

The Indian culture is yet to come to terms when it comes to friendship between a Male and Female.The initial reaction is that of a wide eyed hawk looking for a scoop in it.Although, we have shown tremendous growth on social and economic front however our minds are yet to respond positively to this relationship.In the West, which is a yardstick for many of us,the friendship is just viewed as a greater and comfortable interaction between two persons.It does not matter much whether the concerned people are both males both females or male and female.I think we need to awaken up to this reality of life where this kind of friendship needs to be viewed with a positive frame of mind.

All our mythologicals have mostly mentioned about the friendship between males only.So, this mentality owes its inception to this period.The changing times could hardly reverse the trend.The male dominated society continued to guide the destiny of the people with this mentality.Its a fact that most of the kings had harem of women for their pleasure but we are yet to come across one queen who had this kind of facility for her.Anyway, we are not advocating the need of harems but highlighting the need for positive and healthy friendship between male and females.Following wrongs doesnt make us right so whatever wrongs we follow needs to be amended.Even the Indian constitution since its inception has recorded several amendments.So why cant the society change its line of thinking.It is need of the hour.Unlike the mythological age of kings, the men need to be more tolerant,understanding and have a broader perspective of life.If a female member of the family is friends with a male member there is no need to bring the house down.Just as men like to have friends similarly it is the requirement of females.If we don't accept this harsh reality of life, we shall be in trouble sooner or later.

Newton, the great scientist,needs to be complimented for realising this while jotting down his laws of motion.He says "To every action there is equal and opposite reaction"and we find this being followed in daily life today.A gal today wants to know that if her male member of the family can have a female friend why cant she have a male friend?Logically, she is correct.If you want her to follow you don't do any indecent thing so that one can hold his head high while preaching others.The root cause of this is our sick minded mentality which views the women as an object of sex only.We tend to forget the love, warmth, affection,care, glamour,decency ,patience,kindness,gerosity etc she brings with her.On the other hand, men are capable of contributing by way of adventurism,enthusiasm,calmness,ability to handle all odd situations, giving the feeling of protectiveness to women etc.Dont we feel if we sum up all these qualities we can have a complete human being who would be an assest to any society at any time.

Male female friendship goes beyond the physical attractions.I feel its an individuals perception of viewing a situation.An half glass of water is half empty for some and half full for others.In other words its the way of looking up to situations from different angles.I have known some people who during the course of their work struck decent, meaningful ,satisfying,mutually beneficial friendship with the members of opposite sex. They love it, adore and cherish it .How can such a friendship be put to acid test and tell me one person on earth who would not like to cultivate this kind of friendship?I think the evil minds need some repairs by jolting with heavy hammers in the head.I hope they don't die during this activity.

A male getting attracted to a female and vice versa is nothing new.Its a natural phenomenon.The laws of magnetism have clearly spelt them."Like poles repel each other and unlike poles attract each other".Moreover, look how anxious one is while waiting for a friend of opposite sex over a cup of coffee and some delicious meal.I don't think the coffee or the meal contribute much to their happiness than just the feeling of togetherness.They tend to put on the best of behaviours, the best of dresses to impress each other.The tensions of this modern world are released through this outlet and discussions are mostly constructive.All things are done decently because thats the basic requirement .If one wants to get into indecency,there is a decent way of doing indecent things.Get married.

We have all been through major examinations at School,College,Universities.These could be attempted with the help of some guides, going through previous question papers or last but not the least with the help of pulling right strings at the right places.If you dont score as per your desire ,you have the option of taking the exmination again.However, I feel the biggest examinations are conducted by the University of Life and the subject is real hard one "Choosing Life Partner."Remember, here no previous question papers,no strings pulling, no grace marks and the results are either Pass or Fail.This subject is so vast that no amount of coaching,tips or the experience of others can help an individual.

Having excelled myself in this examinationI would however love to pass on some notes for the prospective candidates.Firstly,the aspiring candidates need to apprise themselves of the ground realities thats in store for them ahead.Do not dream about 'Marriage" in glamrous terms only.It is much more than Honeymoon,Attention,love,affection,attachment,new family,gifts and becoming hero or heroine.Begin with thinking of the responsibility,understanding other more than yourself,provider for the new house, ability to handle two set of parents, capacity to strike a balance between partner,parents and in-laws. Your ability to sacrifice your personal interests ,time,would be comprise of a special subject.If you just think about the glamour part I think you are in for a serious shock.If you begin thinking with he negatives you can remain calm under all kinds of circumstances and you will enjoy the positives if they come your way with a lot of satisfaction.

Having done the mental preparation and acquainted with the expected situation the next part is to be clear about the kind of partner you want.Make your notes on Physical,Educational,Professional,Mannerisms and etiquettes,Socialising capacity,his or her ability to take decisions independently and Self respecting aspects of your partner.I mean what are you looking for on these aspects in your partner.Make sure to be clear about the family background or the status of the partners family.It may be emphasised here that if the total score of the partner is excellent one can ignore a weak area keeping in mind the overall result.

Next comes the interaction between the two prospects.Spend as much time as possible and try to explore all the areas you are interested in.It would be wise to spend a lot of money on lunches,dinner or coffees as this would be accounted as an investment for your life and not just expences.Never trust what others say about each of you and make your own assessment because you are the ones who have to make a very important decision concerning your life.It is not advisable to be dependent totally on parents,friends or relatives alone.Every human being has different perceptions of looking at things.What is good for them may not be good for you so rely on yourself.I am sure each one of us want to excel in this examination and would not like the result to be RE-APPEAR OR FAILURE.

Being convinced of all the traits of the partners personality, it is advisable to let the parents of both sides to step in and give their nod to the alliance.Never make the mistake of announcing the acceptance of relationship yourself.The culture demands the parents approval to the relationship and to letting them feel involved and important will yield rich dividents in the future.However for personal celebration , the guy and gal can have a romantic candle light dinner where the guy can whisper romantic note like" Hey, where have you been all these years.Thanks for coming into my life and lets contribute to make our life successful. I would appreciate if you could suggest a nice place to make a new begining to our life.Have you thought of an ideal place for our Honeymoon."Doing this unlike films,it will mark the begining of new era in real and not on reel. Give it a try.

Marriages they say are made in heaven but experienced on earth.Heaven is something none of us have seen because we can experience it only after death.I dont think even a 90 year old man would like to die in the hope of getting to heaven. .Despite the availability of all the literature revealing the secrets of nuptial bliss I dont think we find many smiling couples around.Its a different matter that when the couple is out for a social function they dont forget to wear artificial smiles like their hair wigs dyed youthfully.

Amazingly,with the advent of electronics gadgets the life has also resorted to shortcuts.If we can change the channels of TV with remote we tend to imbibe the same in our daily life.The earlier Jaaneman has replaced the short Jaanu.I wont be surprised if the hubby or the wife under tremendous pressure of working enviornments telling each other to hurry up even while making love.The time constraints of the couples along with the economic pressures of day to day life are acting as great obstacles towards making the relationship sweet.

Marriage is a union of two souls comprising of complete bodies, mind and souls. Today we are more concerned about the bodies forgetting about mind and souls.This is the greatest repulse that does not allow the union to be complete.We are treating relationships like mechanical machines which can hardly involve emotions.

Its all about relationship,understanding,care and affection for your partner along with the great mix of sincerity and dedication.A male continues to believe that marriage is a kingdom and he is the king.The queen is either neglected or just expected to follow him.The mutual self respect and trust are missing.If the marriage is not successful both the partners have to share the blame in equal proportion.

Hey just learn to be honest to yourself and your partner .This will make him or her desperate to be around you.If you try it with complete honesty and sincerity this could be the best relationship resulting into a blissful innings in the institution called 'Marriage". Like all good things it too come with a price.Are you willing to pay the price is the million dollar question.?
