I'm betting most Yankee fans will be respectful towards David Ortiz at his last game at Yankee Stadium. Most Red Sox fans were respectful towards both Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter in their last games there at Fenway. Any mass acts of disrespect will reflect badly upon Yankee fans as a whole. But I'm not betting he'll get any "standing ovations."

I have the perfect response for when Ortiz is introduced at Yankee Stadium II: Yankee Fans should get up and silently walk out, head for the concession stand or the bathroom, and not return until the National Anthem.

The Fenway Sports Group, having already seen this with the recent Liverpool 77th minute protest, will get the message, and so will Ortiz. He's full of himself (among other things), but he's not stupid. He'll understand that we're saying he's forfeited any right to our re34ect.

Frankly tired of this crap. Team living in the glory days with so little respect for the fan. I went to 10 games last year and never once paid face value. Never once used the exchange for the obvious reason. Might as well buy on ticketmaster. The beauty of life up to now has been the ability to wait and choose. I often grab my kid and just go. Like the old days when you could pay 1.50 for upper deck seats, pay 10 bucks for soda, dog and ice cream and still have money to get home on the irt. These days are gone and I'm not saying to be naive. I get it all. I just find it disgusting when trost and Levine say they're protecting us. It's offensive and time to fire up the tv ...that is until they have their next dispute over air rights to directv. There's always the 7 games they show on Pix. Right ?

It's time to get mad and not take it anymore. Fans must show some backbone and just plain boycott going to Yankee games.
Lets be honest, the game experience isn't worth the price of admission anymore. A family's resources can be better spent.
Let's see what the Yankee brass does when 30,0000 to 40,000 fans don't buy tickets for a couple of weeks. Then the empty seats will be as obvious as the empty ones behind the plate.

I will explain the 1.50 comment by trost but I didn't hear his voice. in the ticket resale business a buck and a half means 150.00 like slang. he probably meant 150.00 because the seats cost a lot more. I cant stand the man but in this case im almost certain me meant a buck and a half = 150.00. we use the term for over 25 years when quoting tickets to one another in the ticket resale business broker to broker. GREAT ARTICLE HOWEVER!

I have hated lonn trost for years. he always lies on wfan. 2 years ago they went to a 48 hour rule for emailing tickets to pdf files. now that is taken away and NOONE can print a ticket. mobible ticketing is great for the user of the tickets but to try and sell them you need pdf files. stubhub is the real market and the ticketmaster exchange is pure garbage. if a ticket is worth 5.00 or 10.00 tm wants 28-35.00.

the Yankees hate stubhub once their agreement ended with them about 4 or 5 years ago. they spin this off as good for the fans but its all about corporate greed as ticketmaster and stubhub are direct rivals!

Oh, yes, ESPN has the Mets ranked #2 in baseball. As we all know, ESPN are experts on the sport.

In the immortal words of Warner Wolf, "Come on, give me a break!" The Mets got career years from ordinary players, particularly starting pitchers, all of whom looked bad in the World Series, and lost their big sparkplug Murphy. They won't make the Playoffs this season, and if they were in the American League East, they'd have been lucky to finish above .500.

Meanwhile, the Yankees are significantly improved over last year's Playoff season. No, the Mets are not the top team in town.

And anybody who waits in the cold to get into Citi Field, for anything other than a job fair, needs to see a doctor. Preferably one with a psychology degree. Did they even give you that vaunted Shack Shack or Blue Smoke food to nosh on while you waited? Not even so much as one single Kahn's hot dog?
