Finally, when the question popped, a once-in-a-lifetime decision was secured.
Time to get real after a DECADE!

Here's some humble tips that we would love to share on what we did for our Registration of Marriage.
Even planning for a simple ROM could be mind-blowing but it's fun after all, especially when the hubby involved himself a lot in it.

♥ Pre-ROM ♥

#1 Save the Date
Decide on the venue for registration first so that you could plan ahead. We chose JPN Putrajaya and it would be best to drop by JPN to submit the forms at least a month earlier. They need at least 21 days ahead before your proposed date as your details/submissions need to be displayed for 3 weeks.

#2 Set a ROM Theme
Having a Theme is fun! Something easy and meaningful would be best for the guests to follow (e.g. dress code or gifts to match)

#3 Gifts for Guests
Gifts to match the theme are perfect match

#4 Gratitude Cards
Thank you cards for guests to show appreciation for their attendance as well as remembrance

#5 The Wedding Band
The most important item…… A ROM is never complete without the wedding band. Different from the proposal ring, these band would be a symbol of bonding for life.

#6 Hand Bouquet, Attire & Heels
We had Champagne Roses, White heels to match the White Day Dress and not to forget to suit up your Groom.
Do look for good florists as I find my bouquet dry and not up to expectation.

If your best friend could do your make-up, let her doll up your confidence. You could save a lot.

#2 Hair-Dos
Chris's best friend made me look fresher with just a few bobby pins. Do some curls and pin it to one side. Adding a matching accessory would do magic. Not those big ones though……

Putrajaya is the listed as the hotspot for pre-wedding shoots. Just drop by anywhere near the bridge or buildings for some shots. As for us, we went to the Pullman Resort nearby just for a quick ROM snapshots session

#10 ROM Lunch Venue
This would be a tough one. Deciding on the venue to fit in the guests, decent food and most importantly not to exceed the budget. Having a caterer over at a garden terrace-like ROM would be my choice but budget would be exceeded.
We chose Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie as we thought it compromised our budget, decent food/ pastry/ desserts and classic environment.
We were given a private room at Levain just for ourselves. This was even better.

It's our 10th Anniversary today & having each other is a gift.
And I'm glad we skated through each year happily and still hoping for more

Fook Mun Kee 福满记 @ Equine Park, Seri Kembangan

I love weekends! (non-working ones)
No early wakeup calls. No hectic jams.
And proper breakfast.

However, we would tend to leave out the neighbourhood and adjourn towards Serdang town or somewhere elses further for weekend breakfast as we would sometimes complain 'boring'. Until recently, Fook Mun Kee 福满记 came to the Equine Park neighbourhood bringing us another dining option. Unlike those typical kopitiams nestled with separate stalls, Fook Mun Kee specialized in a few specialities such as the Pork Rib Noodle, Hakka Mee, Curry Mee, Chicken Rice & a few others.

Pork Rib Prawn Noodle Soup 排骨虾面 - RM6.80
Initially we thought this version would be like the one we had at Champs Bistro. However after tasting it and confronting the chef, we were told that the main ingredients for this preparation was the pork ribs and not the prawns. The version that most of us had at Champs was very prawn flavoured and intense. Fook Mun Kee's soup base is mainly essence-d from the pork ribs with a lil' from the prawn heads and shells.
"It's not exactly prawn noodle. The prawns were just the supporting ingredients", claimed the chef.

Hainanese Chicken Mee 白鸡面 - RM4
Noodles were just so-so comparing it to jalan klang's lama egg noodles, but the chicken were very smooth and perfectly cooked. Glossy skin and smooth meat compensated the noodles' lack of texture.

We were back to try their Curry Noodle & Hakka Mee. Memorable & worth a try. Perhaps you could skip their char siew as there's still great room of improvement on this. Other than that, it's still satisfying.

I was ranting to Chris about killing the boredom of having our katsudon norms (yes.. chicken and beef) at a Japanese restaurant when our partner-in-crime AiWei rang the bell of dining at Tonkatsu instead.

What's Tonkatsu とんかつ?
Lat's read along.
It's a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet, sliced into bite-sized pieces. Usually eaten with cabbage slices and miso soup. Yes. It's pork!
We could have guessed many of you would be aware of the whereabouts of Tonkatsu.

We were greeted by friendly staffs upon entering and was pretty comfortable with their modern interior & neat surroundings. Their menu was simple & Tonkatsu is the main star. Choose between pork fillet cutlet or loin cutlet, or even both and you'll be satiated, walking home satisfied.

Well, you will be served with a mini mortar & pestle like cutlery. Grind your own sesame seeds to release the aroma & don not forget to add the sweet sauce (Worcestershire or special Tonkatsu sauce) to taste. It's a very appetizing sauce to dip with your pork/chicken cutlet.

Their pork cutlet are coated with panko or breadcrumbs before being deep fried. Crispy outer layer with juicy meat underneath. They are even garnished with yellow karashi; Japanese hot mustard for the extra oomph.
*Each set is served with sliced cabbage, tofu, pickled vegetables, pork vegetable miso soup & rice. The miso soup is very flavoursome as it was filled with ingredients.
*Remember to drench some plum sauce onto your cabbage slices for better taste.

Pan saute Pork Belly with Ginger sauce. Not a fan of deep fried meat? This gingery serving would suit you best. Goes very well with the rice.

Breaded Chicken Cutlet. It was perfectly deep fried to golden brown making each bite a memorable one.

Chawan Mushi - RM10
Up to expectation, it was silky smooth.

Tonkatsu is the latest entry to Pavilion's 6th 'gastronomic' floor. It's a getaway if you happen to crave for a 'oink oink ' adventure.

Wantan Mee @ Jalan Klang Lama (Old Klang Road)

Wantan Noodles...
The old time favourite that most people are never bored of.
It's almost a norm when it comes to ordering a plate of wantan mee upon entering kopitiams.
Be it during breakfast, lunch, dinner and perhaps supper?
What's more when the springy egg noodles is topped with juicy and succulent char siew (barbecued pork)? *drools*

Lucky us, we were surrounded with some goody goody fares of wantan mee like the tossed-up Char Siew Zhai, Cheras famous share at Jalan Kaskas, the celebrity char siew of Meng Kee, FSF…. there are just so many :)

Now comes along the hidden gem tucked along Old Klang Road, on the opposite road of Pearl International Hotel. At the end of the shoplots, you would spot this area with 2 stalls, selling Wantan Noodles and "Tai Chow" (Hokkien Mee, Fried Rice etc…). A white neon signboard that just exclaim the authentic flavours of Hokkien Mee and Wantan Noodles without names of the stall. However, this can be easily spotted. Just that parking could be a problem sometimes…
Well, we don't mind parking further… It's worth it :)

Not craving for "tai chow" (heard those are good too) that night...
We had their Wantan Mee - RM4.50 per plate
Springy egg noodles never disappoint us, no 'kan sui' (alkaline) taste, and of course, they blended very well with the black sauce tossed out by the chef. Tasty with a bit of sweetness from the char siew. We would recommend their “pun fei sau” (half lean, half fat). It could be more succulent and not too dry. Their char siew were not over-barbecued and the outer layer were coated with a thin layer of burnt caramel. Yum!
You could order a plate of just Char Siew alone if you wish too.

Wantan (Dumplings) wise, it was nicely wrapped, all plumped up with prawns and pork fillings. Broth to go with it were also tasty. So we bet their soup version of wantan noodles should be good too.

Thanks to http://goodyfoodies.blogspot.com/, we've found ourselves another work luncheon spot to splurge on a Friday afternoon. What's exciting was when I realized that this particular spot was once Max@iHaus; a fine dining restaurant that was set up by Max, which have now moved to Solaris Dutamas. Check out our previous review HERE. The bungalow that haus international brand names in furniture, have ample parking space for patrons & a large garden is now Babylon.

Well, we are here for the affordable lunch set that Babylon has came up with (the lunch set is different everyday).
Having known that:
"RM25+ for 2-course set lunch (with a complimentary drink). Set lunch only available Monday to Friday"
Affordable dining experience in a posh restaurant with friendly staffs around was a great turnover after having bored by daily lunchboxes. Haha.

Choices of the 2-Course Set Lunch for the day:
Appetizers
Smoked Salmon Green Salad
Start off your course with some greens.

Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup
Smooth and creamy mushroom soup was tasty. However a tad salty in our opinion.

Main Courses
3 Main courses were available that day:

Pan Fried Fish Fillet with Potatoes in Light Cream Sauce
Bravo to the chef, the fish were perfectly cooked and the sauce to match with it were awesome.

Seafood Penne in Tomato Base
Sad to say this portion of pasta turned out pretty salty. In fact, too rich in taste. Not very happy with this.

Barbecued Chicken Fillet served with Salad & Rice

Didn't like the choice of Set Lunch? Go for some Ala-Carte :)

Babylon Mixed Grill - RM28 (served with Pita Bread)
Barbecued meat like fish, chicken and lamb to satisfy your cravings for meat. Very Mediterranean style.

We were served with complimentary Pita Bread as well.

Chris is always in search for the olden flavours. Seeking his childhood delicacies that he used to savour when he was so young and I love to tag along while he do so.

It's good news that he finally found the stall that he frequent when he was young, and it has just moved nearby from its previous site in Cheras.

Selling just Wat Tan Hor - Flat Rice Noodle with Egg Gravy - RM4.50
We love their generous amount of gravy with lotsa eggs making the noodles smoother.
Mix the flat rice noodle with some fried meehoon for better taste and texture.
It's shop has no signboard but it's easily spotted if you follow the map below. Located at the Kawasan Perniagaan Cheras Jaya (behind CIMB Bank)

Kin Shui Tei Japanese Restaurant @ Tropicana Golf & Country Resort - Leave the worries of Radiation behind!

Could I see a raise of hands when we ask......
How many of you have dined in a Japanese restaurant as frequent as you used to, ever since the aftermath of the giant quake thats swept Japan?

I can't even remember when was the last. I used to pester Chris for Jap meal whenever the craving drops by (which happens so often) and now... we would opt for other cuisine instead but not Japanese. Did you find this situation a resemblance?

Why??
Although we do know about how little the radiation impact was on us but the Malaysian mind could turn us timid sometimes. The nags from elderly trying to diverge our appetites away from Jap was one of the factor too.

I did not tell dear daddy we were going to Kin Shui Tei this time, as he would start his thoughts about radiation again. Haha.

Another reason that made us miss Kin Shui Tei was the cute Mr.Tanabe who established a high profile in Japanese culinary arts, the head chef who also specialize in churning out the best kaiseki; traditional multi-course Japanese dinner to suit one's appetite.

We were honoured to sample a few of their seasonal, off menu & new dishes offered by Kin Shui Tei.

Special Hokkaido chirashi sushi - RM98
Vinegar sushi rice topping with mix raw fish and king crab. No doubt it was fresh, every piece of the raw darlings were exquisitely arranged. The vinegar rice tasted sweet and we loved it. This combination gave us a fresh start. FYI, the rice was imported from USA.

Seasonal Anago Tempura - RM30
Deep fried sea eel with Japanese tempura style with crunchy vegetables. When it comes to tempura, the star would be prawns most of the time. How about some eels this time? Fresh eels battered evenly, deep fried & instead of dipping 'em into the tempura sauce, why not try it with a special homemade sauce? Serve upon request. A lil' sweet & sour with an addition of spring onion which made it even tastier.

Smoked Ayu - RM55
Smoked Japanese sweet river fish. It's special when you get to taste 2 different flavours at a go. Smoky flavours of the outer skin and sweet fillings of the ayu flesh.

Beef tofu Katsu don - RM38
Deep fried beef fillet slice roll with tofu on top of rice.
When it was served, without knowing he name of this dish, for one minute all of us thought that it looked like some chicken katsu don and wondered why is this new on the menu, looking puzzled.
Gems hidden revealed when we scooped it up...
Soft smooth tofu wrapped with beef slices, then deep fried & topped with onions and eggs. Very creative.

Lamb rib steak - RM50
Grilled lamb rib with homemade special sauce. They decided to move a lil' further this time by moving on towards a western approach yet still maintaining the Japanese cooking methods.
Tender lamd coated beautifully with the tangy sauce. Potato salad was a wonder too and it's definitely not an ordinary mash that you've tried. No kidding.

Love the healthy pure fruit juices they served. Choices of mixed fruits you could select which is good for digestions & general health. A must try :)

Fun Facts about Mr.Radiation
Cumulative radiation from Japan Fukushima plant sparks health worries to a certain extent that even Malaysians, who live thousands of kilometers away from the epicenter in Japan feared of the high risk of getting cancer after consumption of Japanese products. Why live in worry when the optimistic Japanese over there are living each day to their fullest. One reason to explain is the lack of understanding about the nature of radiation itself.

Everyone of us is exposed to radiations daily, in which we do not even bother to measure. Do you still think that having a piece of sushi now would do you harm? Don't be as even nearby Tokyo, the danger is still very low.

We we shocked to learn that the radiation in Tokyo rise up to about 10 times above average. However, even at 10 times above normal level the amount exposed is less than 1 microsievert. How much is that? One X-ray done gives off 400-600 microsieverts of radiation & a whole body CT scan gives a much higher radiation effect: about 15 to 20 millisieverts. (1 sievert = 1,000 millisieverts (mSv)).

In order to regain the customer's confidence towards Kin Shui Tei, they even bought a radiation detector; which is so limited in the market now for double checking to ensure the safety and quality of the food are safe for consumption.
Kin Shui Tei Japanese Restaurant is the 1st restaurant in Malaysia using the radiation detector to do the daily food scanning.

Fear not as the reading is way below the dangerous level.
If the customers want to see the radiation detector then can ask from our service crew. They would be pleased to show you how to use it.

Surprise. surprise... the gas mantle, a device used for the generation of light when heated; used in camping lanterns and pressure lamps. They emit even much more radiation esp infrared.

Though it's sure to say the food are all safe to be eaten as the ingredients Kin Shui Tei imported are from Fukuoka (>1000km away from earthquake epicenter & Fukushima), they do their best in searching for the best ingredients around the world:

During the times when we are running out of ideas when it comes to digging the right place for an afternoon session catchups, the brother came up with the perfect thought of High Tea.

Where to?
Hartamas he whispered. His buy this round. Whee....

Nope. Not San Terri Cottage Cafe this round. We adjourned to something more English……….
To be precise, an English Tea Room……

I spotted Victoria Rossa almost immediately as its cute-sy decor and flowery walls attracted me. Although it is like kiosk-based (not in a shop), it's arrangement extended neatly. It impressed me when they stated that they serve a choice of 33 home-blend single estate whole leaf teas. From fresh homemade scones, sandwiches and my favorite buttercakes! Most importantly, they offer an array of English teas like the Edwardian’s and Victoria Rossa's collection to quench your thirst and crave for your favorite blend for the day.

I'm pretty sure most of us would love to laze our thoughts off the "what-to-eat-this-time" matter and desire to have it all at a go. Spend it on a buffet spread!

After the big breakfast at Jarrod & Rawlins, the thought of having the next round of English breakfast for a change would be The Pink Sage. However, this plan has been on hold for quite sometime till an extent of forgetting all about it.
I was browsing through http://www.thepinksage.com/ one day and found their menu to be kinda limited. It did hold us back for a while but we still end up trying as this has been on the list for quite sometime which needed our attention. haha.

Pink Sage was designed principally to adapt comfortable. Incorporating ideas of american diners with longer length dimensions coffee table and comfy couch. Its interior was neat and nice to look at.

Bravo to Pink Sage, as we were seated, we were quickly introduced to their new selections of menu; with wider range of burgers, pastas, other main course and desserts.

Soups
Clam Chowder - RM14.90
Creamy, with white pollack & clams served with crackers. Very filling and we would say sharing is still the best.

Tortilla Soup - RM14.90
Mexican staple of a mildly spicy tomato broth, with chicken, avocado and fried tortilla. The tortillas were well infused with the tasty and tangy broth.

Oxtail Cabbage Soup - RM18.90
Cooked with jalapenos and miso - known as the house original, the portion was generous and tasty.

Burgers
Cheeseburger 150g - RM17.90
Beef Patty with melted cheddar cheese on a soft bun. Tender beef was juicy and if you think this isn't enough, you could go for their deluxe version: the 250g thick meat patty.

The Man Burger - RM26.90
The Deluxe melted with a scorching sauce and chopped jalapenos. The new item was highly recommended by the staff. We were warned about it spiciness twice and true enough, it's a manly burger. The sauce topping the patty resembled the peri-peri hot sauce from nandos and the meat was hidden with chili padi. Love the combination and we enjoyed the kicking effect.

Grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomato and avocado

Pasta
Creamy Duck Linguini - RM26.90
Linguini tossed with seared duck breast in white wine and shitake sauce. Very creamy and I thought the added a wee bit too much of cheese.

I have a thing over hot soups. Esp when the cycle comes and you needed the period tea so badly. You gals know what I meant...*wink*
We spotted Tang Shifu 汤师父, literally means the soup master with exclamations of eating healthily.

Menu scrutinized and indeed, they offer a variety of soups nonetheless, rice, noodles, bird's nest, ginseng soups and even Pun Choy. Soups double boiled with chinese herbs that stressed on improving blood circulation... they keep u very warm :)

Oh I love anything with mee suah. Drenched with flavoursome sauce with crunchy dried scallops and shrimps made this portion very appetizing. This set comes together with a small pot of herbal soup double boiled with chicken, yuk chuk & wolfberries. I enjoyed the warm soup to sooth the cramp :)

I didn't realize that this post have been hibernating in my pending write-ups section for so long and we went here during my birthday! It has been kinda hiatus lately resulting the degeneration of memory...

What I remembered well was...
As a Starwood Privilege member, Rewards? It's just so easy to get. Dining privileges where you dine for free, great discounts rate at participating restaurants. Be it seasonal gourmet fares to authentic local treats.

Not cheap for sure, but for a fine dining experience and a 50% discount we get, we didn't complain. Total bill came up to about RM400++ after discount plus a complimentary Tiramisu (whole cake). Thanks to Starwood Privilege again :)

Imagine after dining quietly in a posh environment and the friendly staffs here would make you wear clown noses and make a hell of a noise around with 'ping-pangs' just to entertain you with their birthday melody... We loved it :)

The Lazy Song by Bruno kept playing in our heads and this reminded us for a laid back afternoon on a weekend. Chilling out with a cuppa, a book and not forgetting desserts!

We decided to pop buy this cute little cosy huckleberry cafe for during tea time for some chillaxing moment leaving workloads behind. Having light meals here with coffee and a book would be best. The Huckleberry Cafe is nestled inside the Times Bookstore @ BSC.
We wouldn't say their pastries were all superb, but it was tolerable.

Spinach and Bacon Quiche - RM9
We weren't putting much expectation on it but it turned out to be a surprising serving :) Love the spinach.

Mille Crepe ♥ - RM10
One of the reason that brought us here. They came in 3 different flavours and I chose over Vanilla. Its moist and rich taste was soothing. Moreover, we enjoy the lightness plus it's not too sweet either.

It's all about fast food that crossed our mind whenever we're in a hurry or decided to skip the feast with a valid excuse to feed our wedding piggy bank lately...
Burgers satiate us fast but thinking of having McD would sometimes bore my appetite.
Fret not as Ninja Joe would save us.

It's not easy to find a fast food outlet that sells pork burgers. Ooo yeah!

Some said it's mini, but we find it filling for us.
A ninja is not enough? The more you buy, the cheaper it gets.

Solo ninja - RM 5.90
2 ninjas - RM 9.90
3 ninjas - RM 12.90
6 ninjas - RM 23.90

FYI, you can choose between 6 different flavours for your pork patty: Original, Oriental, Teriyaki, Black Pepper, Sweet&Sour and Spicy.

We settled for Teriyaki Ninja (I can't resist teriyaki and have always failed not having it)
The pork patty may look thin, but it was infused well with the teriyaki sauce & was juicy. Not dry and hard at all. It was also served with a slice of tomato and lettuce. Taste wise? Very teriyaki = sweetness at the right level.

We also had the Sweet & Sour Ninja
Nothing to shout about, I almost mix this up with teriyaki as it lack the kick of sourness.

With an additional price of RM3.90, you could add fries and a selected drink of your choice.

Tanto (RM 4.90) - fried tofu with pork fillings. I thought this was rather dry though...

Chris still prefer his "Big Boss" burger with additional egg and bacon instead of just pork patty alone. Try that!
We would now date this little ninja when we thought of having fast food instead.

It's funny and contented somehow when we both looked back on how it's all started...
From 2 strangers on the ice churning up a relationship, reaching where we are now ♥

And finally, during our 10th year...
He decided to pop 'The-Question-many-girls-would-love-their-bf-to-ask-when-the-rite-time-comes' In short... he proposed!

What was Chris's plan?
Getting all the perfect planning and arrangements done behind my back was hard as ever. Well, he has to start working it out and taking every opportunity while I'm away, even for a moment. Best when I'm asleep.

On 12.02.2011...
He was out with his best friends, ditching me as he claimed it will be a guys outing. Thereafter I was actually conned by my parents to my dad's best friend's restaurant for the their official grand opening. As I was lead up the stairs to their function hall, I didn't even have a clue. Nothing suspected at all. As my brother pulled the door open, I soon got the shock of my life when I saw Chris standing right in front of me with a bouquet... and the function hall was pitch dark inside.

I asked a dumb question right away,"omg. why are u here?"
Chris then lead and walk me through his 'selfmade walkway with balloons' singing his first LOVE SONG to a stool right in the middle of the lighted up handmade heart shape encircling me. This was followed by another hippy love song and then another surprise came as the projector lights shine...
Family and friends started 'appearing' watching us both!

Soon after, the projector started playing his proposal video.

It was one of the usual after work days (Friday night!) when the workaholic gals and us decided to befriend happy hour once quite dear to us. But before the pints of alcohol pours in, dinner was what we looked forward first. Zooming fast from KL to BU for Champ's was the first agenda for the night.

Champ's Bistro was easy to locate as we stepped into Centre Point as their catchy buntings depicted their very famous Prawn Mee with huge prawns. Besides beers and music, it is quite a winner as most people know Champ's by its famous pork noodle, ribs, char key tow beside prawn mee

Jumbo-sized Prawn Noodle - RM21.90
The most expensive bowl of prawn noodle that I've ever tasted, it did manage to impress me as it's prawn shell infused broth was simmered with pork ribs which made the soup base sweeter somehow. Prawns are fresh and portion was huge too. However, i still thought it's a wee bit pricey. It was named the "Damn Shiok" Hokkien Prawn Mee apparently... :)

Fish Head Noodle
Another huge portion of meehoon brimmed to the top with fish meat, that made the girlfriend complained it's too much. Haha.

Char Kuey Teow
Fried with lotsa 'wok hei', it was also topped with crab meat to add the extra texture and sweetness from the seafood to the noodle. Good toss of tasty portion.

Well, we didn't settle long at Champ's... as Movida was waiting for us :)

We recently celebrated our bestie's sweet 26 in a little cafe poured with warm decos, friendly staffs and a display counter filled with cakes & desserts waving gracefully at us. The Haute Food Co. was the venue for Citygal's birthday. An ideal place to relax and enjoy healthy light meals with your companions; a spot for tete-a-tete & catching up. A great compliment to the named 'fashionably elegant' which means haute, was the fresh ingredients that they used. You'll see why once you've tried and I believe many patrons have became their regulars now.

Their coffee is brewed from Genovese coffee beans, from Melbourne. Aromatic and smooth.

I love their sandwiches. They all made fresh or toasted with white, multigrain or rye bread, served with fresh salad on the side with different fillings of your choice. Choose your favourite type of toast (white, multigrain or rye bread)

Roast beef, caramelised onions & mizuna - RM13.50
Delicious medium rare roasted beef topped with my fav sweet soft onions wrapped with toasted multigrain bread is way to go.

Smoked salmon, red onion, capers & cream cheese - RM14.90
Fresh salmon were smoked perfectly.

Smoked chicken, sundried tomato pesto & cheese - RM11.90

Roast lamb wrap/sandwich with onion jam and mint-cucumber yogurt sauce - RM15.90

Pasta of the day - RM15.90
See board displayed or ask the staffs. We were served with Seafood Pasta. With hints of spiciness and loaded with shrimps., their sauce were tangy as well. Served with a bed of garden fresh salad.

Another welcoming factor provided by Haute Food Co are their well-known desserts entitled to be 'to-die-for'

The last piece left, we spare no mercy and grabbed it quick. However, it thought this was a tad too sweet to my liking.

Let's have a quickie!
Fong Lye has been touring around in our eat list for quite sometime but just recently, we paid it a visit. Besides having heard of their great Taiwanese fares, their cute interior made us fell for it more. As we were both craving for something hot and warm, we settled for:

Sesame Chicken Mee Sua Set - RM19.80
It tasted like a serving of confinement soup and I loved it. Aromatized with sesame and with hints of rice wine, the chicken was smooth and enjoying it with my favourite mee sua was a very good idea.

3 Varieties Supreme Diced Chicken - RM19.80
Im pretty sure this is a very typical Taiwanese dish but it's very flavoursome as well. Best goes with the rice. Generous amount of meat too. Each set comes with 3 appetizers and with an additional soup.

Ishin was a great place for a family sit-down dinner when it comes to gatherings. Nestled at off Jalan Kelang Lama, it's a bungalow-like Japanese restaurant situated by the road with a modern interior and yet displaying their sophisticated traditional & spherical sushi bar. Flattered as we were, seated comfortably at the corner and began the ordering as we were impressed by their notions of serving genuine Japanese and Kaiseki style cuisines that are cooked to order. We were looking for the perfect dining place for a family gathering and spotted Little Korea online. Reading positive feedbacks and reviews guaranteed us a table soon after. Anticipation tagged along and it was very easy to locate Little Korea.
Upon entering this little cute place, we were greeted by a homely ambiance. Decorations adorning the restaurant brought enchantment as we looked around. This pleased my mom especially, very much.
However, one thing that was not very ideal about this place was the absence of fume hood which made the area kinda stuffy.

Mo Dum Ku Ee
A mixed BBQ platter consisting marinated & non-marinated beef, pork slices, lamb, prawn, mussels, corn and mushrooms.
Just sit back and relax while watching the friendly staff sizzle their way to accommodate your appetite.

Jab Chae
Stir-fried glass noodles with shredded mushrooms, beef, cucumber & carrots. A surprising order that came tasty and trying once isn't enough.

Korean pancake topped with squid, shrimps, clams and scallions, with sweet taste of cooked scallions & seafood flavour. Enriched with ingredients and not too much flour.

Korean kimchi pancake pan fried fragrantly embracing the tang and kick of kimchi.

A flavoursome dish with a hint of spiciness that I'm pretty sure most of you would fall in love with. You could opt to wrap 'em up with the fresh lettuce given.

Another big pot of kimchi soup based hot pot brimmed with beancurd, vegetables, enoki mushrooms and korean instant noodles :)

It didn't hit us about this place who focused on bringing colours into your black & white diary until Ken told us so. We were delighted to be invited over to discover this hidden fun place for ourselves at Plaza Kelana Jaya; which is so new to us.

We were welcomed by the Godfather, the warm and friendly owner who would love to introduce fun to people. Executives, chefs, waiters.. bla bla... We would say, "boring!" And instead, positions like people pleaser, chief people pleaser, chief food artist etc were used for the crew members. Cute eh?

Hainanese Chicken Rice - RM17
I would never thought of ordering a plate of chicken rice at such restaurant seriously but this plate would definitely guarantee us a revisit. Rice were very fragrant, what's more when the poached chicken were just so smooth drenched in some delicious soy sauce. Adding their homemade chili and ginger would be another boost.

Roasted Chicken Chop – RM25
Now jump over to some western fix of American-styled roasted chicken surrounded with baked potato, corn on the cob and drenched with mushroom sauce

Twister Braised Lamb Shank - RM46
Tender lamb meat texture with a touch of rosemary. It was served on a bed of braised baby kailan, mashed potatoes and carrots. The gravy was dope :)

Barra Barra Gourmet Pizza - RM35
Baked in wood fire oven pizza, this Barra Barra portion is topped with Barramundi fish with baby leeks, olives, mango mojo and dressed wild rockets. Too bad it came up a lil' moist due to the overflowing of ingredients. But it's a good thing isn't it? Just roll it up and chuck it in! haha.

Chocolate Mud Cake – RM19
The mud cake was topped with a scoop of Haagen-Daz Vanilla Pecan Ice Cream and dressed with Vanilla Sauce

A vivid memory still playing well within flashing the many moments I pestered my mom to have SUSHIS during the teenage years and Sushi King was like the only choice we use to opt for. Assure me that it's a bliss now guys... 'cos we're really spoiled with many choices of Jap cuisine. Affordable sushi stations offering a variety of creative and delicious fresh dishes comes very handy nowadays.

Sushi Tei would be one of our options; let it be work luncheon or a table for two with Chris.
Sushi Tei was originated from Singapore, they have even expanded and opened more branches in China, Indonesia and Australia. Guaranteed flavours, reputation and most importantly dining here definitely won't dry your wallet up.

Edamame - RM 4.80
After a start with a cuppa Ocha, edamame is would be a healthy start.

Chuka Idako - RM6.80
Marinated baby octopus would never go wrong. nom nom.

Asama (consist of Hamachi, Salmon, Tai) - RM23.80
Slices of fresh raw fishes in thick cuts

Adding their specialty tangy sauce would add some zing into the refreshing salad.

Kani Avocado Salad - RM 14.80
Arranged with crab sticks, avocado, tobiko and garden fresh greens had my vote. Healthy and tasty as well when you add in their salad sauce.

Takoyaki Balls - RM 8.30
Tasty takoyaki tasted very teriyaki.

Teppanyaki Chicken - RM 16.80
Just passable in taste. I would say too mild, but the meat texture was juicy.

Meat Gyoza - RM 9.80
I would say this serving of gyoza surprised us well. Piping hot dumplings pan fried at the bottom nicely with tasty meat fillings.

I'm bitting non-stop! With a hint of saltiness, it's addictive for sure.

It's our first time checking out the crispy version of tuna filled roll. Fragrant outer crisp with seaweed and soft tuna in the middle was impressive.

*Spicy version of sushi with mentaiko was very memorable. With a very awakening flavour :)

*Volcano Maki - RM 7.80
Strong flavours from the melted cheese topped with seaweed and tobiko would convince us for another round. And it matches the name as it's like erupting with flavours.

*Tuna Cheek Steak
This made us went "yum...". Juicy tuna cheek char-grilled to perfection was worth the order when you dine-in.

Not forgetting every meal should not end with some sweetness...

Hey peeps!
I wonder how has this fluffy Rabbit year treating you? Especially to friends who are celebrating CNY... Good food with abundance non-stop everyday? I'm pretty sure.
And again, another year of coincidence bliss dropped by as Mr.Rabbit meets Saint Valentine.

Cupid is out to hunt again.
Aiming at you! Bringing the romantic atmosphere of swirling kisses and sweet words peaking into little tuffs of cotton (I always thought this phrase sounded so cute.. haha).
So guys! Fret not if you've not blink up the where-to-bring-your girlfriend-for-valentine's idea, as going for Japanese would always be a good choice. Nagomi would help you please her.
In fact, Valentine's should not only be meant for couples. Good friends hanging out for a nice meal for this special occasion would be a very thoughtful idea too.

During our previous visit to Nagomi Japanese restaurant, its main focus was on shabu-shabu. Good news to know that Nagomi's menu is refurbishing, bringing us lotsa surprises with more choices of Japanese delicacies and yet remaining their satisfying standard of shabu-shabu.

From 11th Feb - 14th Feb 2011, Nagomi will be introducing their Nagomi Lover's Bento @ RM99++/bento.

Soba Soft Shell Crab Salada (Soft Shell Crab Salada serve with Buckwheat Noodle)
Crunchy soft shell crab teaming up with soba drenched with their tangy special salad sauce. Lovely.
