Creed is terrible. Now, I am not talking about Creed fragance or creed for women. I am talking about the really, really awful band Creed.Ｉjust watched them on the Tonight Show with Conan O' Brien and it was terrible. They might as well have been performing in zebra bikinis, their performance was so shockingly bad. The worst was the singer, who seems to have forgotten how to sing, or something. Anyone who buys creed tickets to go to a concert has got to be off their rockers.

WikiRadio's a cool new application to try for the iPhone. I listen to a lot of trance on there while I'm working to help me pump through the boring stuff. I also like glitch music like AFX or Pink Floyd when I'm working. Tool is also good, especially aenima. I also like Smashing Pumpkins when I work, though not Adore because it is too sad for me. Adore is a beautiful album but it is really, really sad.

I've never personally had a bed bug infestation, at least not one that I've noticed. As far as I understand, bed bugs are more or less omnipresent in any sleeping surface; there are a number of dust mites which inhabit your mattress.

In bad cases, however, a bed bug infestation can cause problems such as skin irritation and flaking. If you want to protect your bed from bed bugs, one possibility is a bed bug cover, which helps reduce or eliminate problems with bed bugs.

Express: Quality Decline?

I buy high quality undershirts and use them to help shape my body under clothes. It helps me look smooth and sleek under clothing without having to buy expensive body shapers. Well, recently I bought a bunch of cotton undershirts at Express and was appalled by the lack of quality. Express used to mean quality clothes and now I feel like they are putting out junk like all the rest. I have had some pairs of pants I bought at Express last for several years, but these undershirts washed out and were stretched out in less than a month, and I hardly even wore them.
I sure hope Express isn't sacrificing their reputation for quality clothing to tap in on the discount market. There are tons of clothing stores that already carry junky clothes for mediocre prices; it seemed like Express was a cut above and that you could rely on their quality, but I'm starting to wonder now. I will try them one last time, but if the quality is still low, I will probably have to quit Express, as much as it pains me to ditch the makers of the once glorious but discountinued Stylst pant.

I call hoax on the 6 Year Old Helium Balloon Incident

As you probably know, a 6 year old was thought to have flown away in a helium balloon designed by his parents. The balloon flew for nearly two hours and the kid was thought to be in the balloon because his brother said he saw him climb in, then he wasn't found when the balloon landed, and was later found hiding in the attic of the family's garage.

Question 1: Doesn't it take an awful lot of helium to lift a kid?

Question 2: If he was in the balloon, how would he breathe in the helium filled atmosphere?

Question 3: Why wouldn't you stop your kid brother from climbing into a balloon experiment your parents were having if you saw him doing it? At the very least, you could have the pleasure of tattling.

I present these questions with the evidence that the family in question has appeared on television on the show Wife Swap, and has their own Youtube Channel. I believe we have all been had in a fabulous publicity stunt.

Does anyone remember the Oxy cartoon on Cartoon Network back in the day? There were two animated oxy characters in a cartoon campaign that aired around 2002. Man, I sure miss Billy Mays the Oxi Clean guy. He was really a great seller. But back to Oxy cartoons. Anyone have any old pics or clips of the cartoons? I would really like to see them again. Animated commercials are sexy like Esurance.

I need a business card so I can identify myself as a member of the press or as a writer when I meet other people. The problem is that I would like to design my own business card and I don't really know what kind of paper to use or whether I can get away with printing them myself.

I have done some research but have not found anything I am completely happy with. I should see if they have anything at Fry's Electronics or listed with some online discount paper dealers.

I blogged before about how useless commission junction has been to me over the years. Well, I thought I should also blog about a pay-per-click affiliate program which has worked for me: Chitika. Chitika is like Adsense: it shows targeted advertising links based on search results. Chitika only shows ads to Google searchers in the U.S. or Canada. Chitika does not make me rich by any means, but it does put about another 12 to 15 bucks in my pocket a month, which is a nice chunk to take to the grocery store an buy some awesome cheese. Or, in this economy, some dry beans.

Adsense is my best earner for sure, and if you are not signed up with them, you need to get with it. Also, check out Google's new affiliate program system, which is like Commission Junction, but hopefully not as shady. It's definitely easier to get started with than Commission Junction, but I just signed up with Google Affiliates so I can't say if it works for me or not yet.

So, if you're looking for another affiliate program to bolster your Adsense revenue, check out Chitika. The setup is easy to do and they walk you through everything and provide all of the code you need to get Chitika going on your blog.

Health Care Reform: Keith Olbermann Nails It

Olbermann gets to the heart of the debate and relates the personal stories that make him directly connected to the healthcare fight. I am in support of a public option because I believe that the insured pay for the uninsured in the end anyway, and healthcare should not be something that is done for profit.

Freelancehomewriters.com -- Work at home scam?

If you have hopefully applied to a craigslist posting seeking freelance writers, for $25 for $45 per article, don't bother. The site requires you to pay a signup fee to work, which is bullshit. However, do get your hopes up. Though freelancehomewriters.com is a pay to work scam, there are writing jobs out there which make that much or more. Check your library for a copy of "The Writer's Market", whatever edition is latest. "The Writer's Market" is a HUGE guide to getting jobs in writing, listed by category and publication type. It is very helpful if you are looking to know what's out there in terms of pay. I was sorry to hear that freelancehomewriters.com was another pay-to-work scam but there is real work out there; you just have to dig a little harder for it than you thought.

Community is a funny new show which plays on Hulu. If you have never been to Hulu, you should definitely check it out. It is a free legal way to watch a lot of shows from network TV, and a lot of other stuff, including UFC and a lot of reality shows. I canceled cable and just watch TV online now. You would be surprised to see how much their is to watch just between Hulu and Netflix instant streaming video, if you have that.

Community is cool because the cast includes a lot of quirky characters. The mix makes a zany and fun show which conjures up memories of anyone who has been to a community college.

Commission Junction - also scammers, thieves and scalawags

Here's the skinny, bloggers: Commission Junction is a waste of time. At least for small blogs and startups.

In retaliation, I will be trying out Google Affiliate, which seems to be pretty much the same deal, except by Google, who seems to be honestly paying me.

Commission Junction is, repeatedly, over a span of years, the worst affiliate program I've ever come into contact with. Though I have been using the site for several years, the most I have managed to garner - ever- is a dollar. Now, Commission Junction has forced me to reactivate my account and taken my dollar away. Reason given: none. They simply credited themselves the dollar and shut my account down.

Now, I have a little traffic, and I use other affiliates through which I have been able to turn a meager profit. We're talking about around $30 a month here. Blogging about nonsense and bikinis is not exactly a lucrative business. But still...a dollar? Over thousands and thousands of impressions? WASTE OF TIME.

I have put in the years adjusting my affiliations and am becoming convinced that Commission Junction is running a bit of a scam. I hadn't bothered to remove their links from my sites because it was more work than not removing them, but I was starting to feel like Commission Junction is stealing from me, and now they have, literally, stolen the only dollar of commission I've ever made with them.

Branson Foodies Unite: Cooking School Weekend is on its way

I love food, and I love to cook. So you can imagine my delight when I heard about the cooking going on at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. The hotel is hosting a Cooking School weekend at the convention, and it promises a great time. Chef Nathan will serve a wide array of fine foods, then show the attendees how to make the dishes the very next day. So cool! At Cooking School Weekend, you get to taste AND learn.

Menu items for the event are very high-class . I am most interested in learning about the Charcuterie and Cheese Display and the Smoked Potato and Ham Soup. I love cooking for friends at home; cooking something like this for friends would blow them away.

Frisky Dingo in DVD

I went to the library today and found Frisky Dingo Season 2 on DVD. Frisky Dingo is from Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network. It's basically about two idiots who are running for president. It's a really cool cartoon that is great light watching for when you are trying to get some work done. I also watch Alfred Hitchcock on hulu while I'm working. It helps me write creatively, I have found.

I ate some stewed beef today. It was nice.

Watch out for a weird phone scam coming out of Canada. This is still going on; I was woken up this morning very confused by a call from my mother in law saying that my step kid was in jail in Canada on a DUI car accident charge. She said that she got a call from her granddaughter requesting money to get out of jail. The person on the phone was crying and sobbing and asked for $2800 wired for bail. The call came from Canada.
