Hey-hey it's almost Friday!! {LOL!} Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. My family and I certainly did. Today's card was made for my friend's little girl that turned One. Her theme was ladybugs and let me tell you the decorations at her party were super cute!!

Everything I used was Stampin' Up! except the ribbon and die cut lettering {sizzix smoothie} The ladybug was made using different circle punches. Here's a picture of the inside...

Happy Monday! Boy-oh-boy do I have tons of phone calls to make and errands to run today! I filled out so many forms this past weekend and they were all for my son who will be entering the 8th grade next school year. This packet was horrendous {pinky promise!} Medical forms, athletic forms, Ohana {family} Directory forms, Financial Aid and Tax Info forms...He even got his summer reading assignment in this packet!! Hello, didn't Spring Break just end??

Well, moving on to a funner subject, {I'm not even sure that funner is actually a word}, humm spellcheck says it is. Oki-do-ki then. Today's project is a card I made for my husband's nephew's birthday. Happy Birthday Hanalei!!

I ran a piece of Ballet Blue CS (100613 $5.50) through the Big Shot (113439 $99.95) texturizing it using the diamond shape from the Backgrounds I Texturez Plates (114512 $11.95). Then I took a piece of Basic Black CS (102851 $7.50) and stamped it randomly with the star image from the retired Little Sayings set in Whisper White Craft ink (101731 $7.50). I've been wanting to add some tearing to my projects and adding the "black space" to this card was a perfect opportunity. The Space Shuttle is one of the images from the Pun Fun set (115054 $32.95). I stamped the image in Jet Black StazOn ink (101406 $7.95) on Watercolor Paper (105019 $6.95) and watercolored the image with my Watercolor Pencils (101879 $19.95) and Blender Pen (102845 $9.95). I cut out the image and popped it up on Deminsionals (104430 $3.95) For the Earth I took my 1-3/4" Circle punch (112004 $15.95) and punched the corner of a piece of blue and green scrap, folded over the corner and added a pewter brad from the Vintage brad collection (109109 $8.95) I finished off the front of the card off by adding dots between the stars with my white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen (105021 $3.95). On the inside I printed on the computer "You're Outa' This World!"

Hey all you April Fool pranksters...I hope you got some good one's in today! My husband got me with a pretty funny one this evening. He asked me if I heard the story on the radio about the head that was found in our Kahului Harbor. Of course I was shocked and I told him I didn't and he went on to tell me that a note was attached to it. Me being the ding-dong that I am, I had to ask "What did the note say?" He replied, "I don't need NO BODY." {LOL!} I must say, that was a good laugh. On to my post. It's finally here! Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalogue!!!

Polka-Dot Treat

Are you ready for another week? I am! Today's post is of my first try using the Matchbox Bigz XL Die (114890 - $42.95) and coordinating Matchbox Message (113800 - $25.95) stamp set that will be coming out on April 1st in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog.

The CS and DSP is from Papertrey Ink, the ribbon is from Ben Franklin Crafts and the candy inside is Nuggets from Hershey's {this is me being a smarty-pants, Tee-Hee!} Here's the inside shot...

Pink Pirouette Birthday Pouch

Happy Aloha Friday! Today's post will be short 'cause I have an appointment to be at soon. The project of the day is my tweaked version of the pouch we made at regional. It's my Husband's Aunty's birthday and my son was looking through my stash for a card to give her. {isn't he a sweetheart!} I decided to step it up a bit and create a SWEET gift by adding some Hershey's kisses.

I used Textured Pink Pirouette CS for the pouch, Very Vanilla for the faux ribbon, a piece of dark pink scrap for the flower which I ran through my Big Shot using the Sizzlits Flower Blossom die and popped it onto the ribbon with an antique brad. The Upsy Daisy is stamped in Pink Pirouette and the Birthday Celebrations is a combo of Pink Passion and Close to Cocoa. Here's a side view shot...

I punched the same dark pink scrap and the closure of the pouch with the Eyelet Boarder Punch and staggered the two. So that's all I have time for today. Make sure you put your hand in the candy jar and try out for the Candy that's Up for Grabs in my sidebar. Till my next post...Toodles!

Birthday Cuppie!!

It's Aloha Friday...No work till Monday...Do-Do-Do-Do {LOL!} Today's card I made for my Cousin-IL's baby's, 1st Birthday party which is tomorrow. {Happy Birthday Shaila!} I have been wanting to do a cupcake card for some time now and this was a perfect opportunity.

The brown CS used for the bottom of the cuppie was some left over that I purchased from Island Paperie. All the dark pink CS and DP I used is from Papertrey Ink. A gift I got from a SWEET Friend! {Thanks Jan-Jan!} The other CS is Pink Pirouette and Lovely Lavender. These papers all matched so perfectly with this adorable DP. It has cute little elephants, bunnies and duckies printed on it. Perfect for any little one. I ran the Pink Pirouette CS through my Big Shot with a Flowered Texturz Plate I purchased from Ben Franklin . I used the SU Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits Die. The die comes in a 4-pack and is so easy to use. Then I sponged the edges of the cupcake top and the flower textured CS with Pink Pirouette ink. I covered the dot sprinkles and the birthday candle flame with Stickles to add some Bling. No little girl should go without BLING! I sponged the edges of the flower with classic Summer Sun. I ran the bottom of the cuppie through my Crimper and finished by adhering everything together. It actually came out better than what I expected. Here's a close up of the Cupcake and flower.

I'm going to finish by decorating the inside. I just had to wait for little Miss Makena to take her over-due nap. If you have time would love to hear your comments on this card. Well, I told myself I would spend 1 hour a day maximum on the computer so that I have more time to craft and do other things around here. So I'm signing off until tomorrow. Door Prize Basket

Alright here's a story for you...I was playing around with Photoshop, then I started searching the web for one item which lead to me looking at all kinds of other items which now have turned from "wants" to "needs"...Anywho, I kept telling myself that I should go to bed because it's getting late and now that it's 12:06 am I have realized that I am wide awake and cannot go to sleep. {evil laugh} So I decided what the heck do a quick post! {snickering & more evil laughing!} So good morning! Today's post is another regional project that I used as a door prize for the last hostess workshop that I did. This cute basket was created using the Big Shot die. I'm too delirious right now to remember the name of the die so please forgive me.

I believe the basket is in So Saffron and the tag was made using Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa. The ribbon is the lovely {in color} Tangerine Tango. I just love those ribbons. I added some Easter grass and a little stamp and gave this sweet prize away to a lucky little girl. Cute huh? Okay, I'm going to keep this one real short and jump into bed before my darling hubby wakes up. Till my next post...keep stamping!

Birthday Giftbox

Happy Hump Day! I just love saying that phrase! =0) {Hee-hee!} Tonight's post is of the birthday gift my son gave his cousin for his 14th birthday. Jason's birthday was yesterday and I needed to make a quick gift box to hold a package of Yu-gi-oh card sleeves and some $.

I used the Ho Ho Holidays template from SU's pattern library. This was a very simple design and really it took me about ten minutes total to complete. The holder itself is in Taken with Teal and I added a band and a mat in Basic Black. I stamped his name on Whisper White using Taken with Teal in the Whimsical Alphabet Lower set and cut it out before adhering it to the Basic Black square on the front. The tag is the Happy Birthday stamp from the Tags and More set. Here's a picture of what the gift box looked like empty.

Quick, simple and easy! Well, that's all for today. I'm off to help my son brush the tangles out of our fuzzy little Lhasa Apso {named D-zo} who's grooming appointment is long over due!

Without You Gift Card Folder

Happy Monday! I'm excited to share my favorite project from regional with you. This one is called Without You Gift Card Folder. It uses the Scallop Notes and the Best Wishes & More set.

First stamp the bird image four times in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla CS and punched three of the images with the 1-3/4" Circle punch and cut the fourth image out. Each punched image is adhered to a Scallop Note with Dimensionals. A silver brad is attached to the center of each felt flower and then adhered to the edge of the punched out bird image. The envelopes are lined with Baja Breeze Patterns DSP. The folder used to hold the cards and the envelopes is a (9-3/4" x 6") piece of Very Vanilla CS scored lengthwise at 4-3/4" and 5" and in the opposite direction at 2-1/2". Once folded wrap ribbon around folder and adhere. Round all corners of Baja Breeze CS and adhere to the front of the folder over ribbon. Attach strip of Baja Breeze DSP to Baja Breeze CS. Punch circle from Pink Pirouette textured CS and adhere to Metal Edge tag using SNAIL. Adhere cut-out bird to circle using Dimensionals then adhere felt flower to edge of tag. Adhere Metal Edge tag to folder using Dimensionals. Pick your sentiment to stamp below the bird images on the scallop notes, tie your ribbon and Voila! You're done! Here's a picture of the finished folder.

Thanks So Much Card

Today's card is another regional project titled "Thanks So Much Card." I love everything about this card. First of all it was super easy to make! It includes the Urban Oasis DSP, Eyelet Boarder Punch, 1/2" Library Clip in Chocolate Chip and Watercolor Wonder Crayons, all of which I love, love, love! LOL!

First, I repeatedly stamped the solid berries from the Soft Summer Set {that will be coming out on April 1st in the Occasions Mini Catalog} in VersaMark on the top half of Old Olive CS. Then I cut a strip of Bashful Blue CS 4-1/4" x 1/8 and adhered it to the card. I punched the edge of Urban Oasis DSP measuring 4-1/4" x 1-3/8" and adhered it to the card under the Bashful Blue strip. On the DSP is where the Thanks so much sentiment should have been, but I like to leave cards blank and wait until the occasion arises and stamp it accordingly. I stamped the outlined berries from the set in Jet Black ink on a piece of 2-1/4" x 1-15/16" Naturals White CS. Using the Old Olive and Brocade Blue Watercolor Wonder Crayon I colored directly on the rubber stamp and then sprayed it lightly with water and I stamped the image directly over the stamped outline image. Next, I distressed the edges of Natural White CS and layered it on to a piece of Chocolate CS and distressed the Chocolate as well. I tied a piece of Bashful Blue 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in a knot, trimmed the ends and adhered to the Library Clip using a Mini Glue Dot. I attached the clip to the layered piece and used Dimensionals to adhere to card. Easy peasy and so much fun! Blooming Wedded Bliss

I'm back! Well, our little vacation was relaxing. It's fun to play tourist on your own island every once and awhile. Today's card is one that I made for our friend Tony who got married last Sunday. I stamped the dress image from the Blooming with Happiness set in black StazOn on whisper white CS. Then I watercolored it in lavender lace and bashful blue and added crystal stickles when it was dry. I chalked the edges of a piece of whisper white with the same colors that I used in the watercolors, matted it on a piece of lavender lace and distressed the edge. I cut out the image and popped it on the matted piece with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same set. I stamped it in pretty in pink and wasn't happy, so I restamped it with lavender lace creating a shadow effect. The boarder was made using the eyelet lace boarder punch from fiskars. To finish it off I sponged the edges with pretty in pink craft ink and cut two pieces of ribbon and tied it in a knot. Here's a close up of the dress so that you can see the watercoloring and the glitz of the stickles.

Regional Projects

Happy Aloha Friday! I apologize that it took me this long to post, but I came down with something late Wednesday night and I'm still trying to kick the lingering end of it. My family and I will be taking a one day vacation at the Westin Hotel & Resort starting tomorrow. {Yipee!} It would be me to get sick, but I don't care...we are still going! Anyway, since I won't be bringing my computer along I thought I better get going and post those convention projects that I promised.

This is the pouch that we made at Convention. I waited till I came home to finish my projects because I didn't want them to get smashed. We used textured baja breeze, kiwi kiss, we ran Tangerine Tango DSP through the big shot with the Simple Flower embosslits die. Then we carefully sanded off the orange to show the white core with a sanding block. {Cool huh!} I stamped one of the Pocket Silhouettes in baja breeze, the salutation in chocolate and finished it off with a Chocolate Corduroy Button. Here is a side view of it so you can see where you would put your pouch of goodies inside.

Stampin' Up Regional Convention, Honolulu Hawaii

Pictures...FINALLY! I downloaded the pictures from my camera so I can share the wonderful experince my friends and I had at the Stampin' Up convention that happened this past Saturday. We {Liane, Debie and I} were so excited to go! Here's our short story - just so you know! I used to work with Liane and Debie at Maui Community College. Liane started demonstrating for Stampin' Up and of course Debie and I attended her parties. Eventually, Debie signed up to be a demonstrator and after many years of being Liane's "best customer" {as she would call me} I decided to sign up too. So here we all are at the Hawaii Convention Center.

Okay, so here's the second part of our story. Since the day I registered for the convention I jokingly asked Liane, "I wonder if Shelli is going to be there?" {giggle*giggle} The reason I mention this is when I become a fan of someone or something I dive head first into what ever the poison of the person might be. In this case I was already into Stampin' Up, Shelli was my only missing piece. Well, low and behold, we were all walking back into the convention center from a quick ladies room run, when I saw SHELLI! I nearly ran my poor Lee-lee over in excitement! {Sorry Liane.} She was standing right by our table. So here we are with Shelli!

Of course we all got her to autograph our badges. We love you Shelli! Okay, now like I mentioned Shelli was my missing piece in groupie land. To add even more glitter to it all Jaron was there! He is just FAN-TAB-ULOUS! What a sweetheart! I love you Jaron! So here's a picture with Jaron...

Pillow Box

Good Evening! I was looking through my pictures to post of the Honolulu Regional Convention and I came across the pillow box that I did with a group of wonderful ladies at a hostess party. I was meaning to post it but I guess I got busy and forgot. {and I never forget things *wink-wink*} Of course I used the Big Shot pillow box die to cut out the pillow box. These dies with the Big Shot are easy peasy! I didn't think that I loved my Big Shot, but the more I use it I realize that truly, it makes certain projects easier and I do have an undying love for it! {so DRAMATIC!}

You can make these in any color combo. I chose an earthy combination. I've noticed that I've been pulling towards these colors lately. Not only in my projects but in the way I dress, the gifts I buy...Hmmm must be a phase or something. Anywho, this is my project post for today. Thanks for stopping by!

SU Regional Convention (Honoluolu Hawaii)

Good Evening My Lovely Friends! I am catching the plane early tomorrow morning to Honolulu where I will will meet my upline (and good friend) Liane Awana. Her brother Kimo will be chauffeuring us to the Stampin' Up Regional Convention! We will be meeting our other friend Debbie over there for a day of stamping, stamping & more stamping! I am so excited, I can hardly contain myself!! And if you know me, you would know that I am spinning around in circles with a big SMILE from ear to ear!

I want to share the two cards that I made to take to Honolulu & swap with the new friends that I intend to make. {GRIN} The first is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. I used Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette &Very Vanilla CS. I stamped two of the flowers from the Eastern Blooms set with VersaMark and embossed with clear EP. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. The butterfly was a gift from Liane so I'm not sure what set it is from.

My second swap is a 3" x 3" card that I made using Old Olive, Very Vanilla & Chocolate Chip CS. I stamped two of the flowers from the Fifth Avenue Floral set in Bravo Burgundy & Old Olive classic ink. The "celebrate" is from the Everyday Flexible Phrases set.

I have to catch a 6:15am flight so that's all I have for tonight. I will let you know how everything went, what we did & I'll be sure to post all the projects that we made. Till then...Toodles!

Fifth Avenue Tag

Happy Aloha Friday!!! I have just a quickie post for ya' on this FRIDAY 13th! **twilight zone music** Can you hear it?? Alright then enough with the sound effects. I made a quick and easy gift tag that I'm going to use as a make and take at my first hostess party this coming Monday. {yay me!}

First, I cut Baja Breeze Textured CS (4 7/8" x 3 1/2") and Whisper White CS (4 3/8" x 3 1/4"). I stamped 3 of the Fifth Avenue Floral images {I am so loving this set!} on the Whisper White in Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip ink. Using the Tag Corner punch I clipped off the top corners on both CS then matted the Whisper White onto the Baja Breeze. The sentiment from Small Sayings is stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip and fits perfectly in the Word Window Punch. I used pop dots to give it a little dimension. I made the top slot using the Horizontal Slot punch and slipped a piece of white grosgrain ribbon, tied it in a knot and clipped the ends to make it all puurrrty.

For my next issue of chit-chat...I made a new siggie with a font that definately suits me. Photoshop CS2 is the BOMBDIGADY! I wonder is there is anyone out there that knows how to use every feature of it. That would be just AMAZING! I'll stick with the basics that I learned over at MCC. It works for me!

Stationery Set Continued

Happy Monday Everyone!! Okay, I'm going to have to make another quick post this evening because I have been working on my blog banner all day and my eyes are seriously TWEAKED. I wanted to test out my new signature too. I can never find a font that suits the "K" and repeating "R's" in my name. This siggie will have to do for now. For those of you out there with variations of letters in your name try out this signature generator. There are 120 different fonts you can sample your name in and many other features. Alright for tonights post I am going to continue on with the Stationery Set. Here's another one that I made using DP from Stampin' Up. A much brighter combination of colors but still very pretty.

Well, that's all the energy I have for tonight. And what perfect timing...looks like my little missy just fell asleep. Shhhhh...Nite-nite.

Happy Superbowl Sunday!! Okay, I have to be honest. I'm not a football fan at all, but every year I attend a superbowl party at MIL. What for you might ask? Silly, for THE FOOD of course! ~giggle~ Okay since it's late and the hubby is already in bed with the baby I'll keep it short and get to my post. I wanted to share with you a stationary set that I made for my wonderful friend Jody for her birthday. Jackie at Addicted to Stamping has a wonderderful tutorial that you just have to check out. This is the outside of the stationary set...

And lookie what's inside...

It's box contained (4) 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards, (4) 3x3 cards, (4) gift tags, an adress book and envies. The little pocket to the right is perfect for a book of stamps. If it wasn't so late I'd give you the recipe for this project. Maybe if I have time tomorrow and the baby takes her afternoon nap I'll work on it. I can tell you though, that I had so much fun making it! So get your creative juices flowing and make one of your own. I'd love to see what you all come up with! Nite-nite!

Okay, spankings for me cause I've been bad. I didn't get around to putting up those pictures of the great make-n-takes we made at my SU demonstrators party. So here they are...finally.

A lot has happened since the last time I posted. I became a SU demonstrator, had a baby, participated at a craft fair...Yep I said had a baby! Here's a peek at our little sweet Makena Rose. She is quite the handful but worth every minute of it.

The craft fair was back in November and here's a few of the things that I sold and made good on.
