New Way to get DEALS!

There are several websites that are popping up that offer "collective buying power" to get great deals. I've been watching several of these sites to get an idea of what's offered.

One site that I've been watching (and have even purchased from) is GROUPON. Each day Groupon features a "deal" which is usually a high discount off products or services. If there are enough people to buy the "deal", then it's a go. (If there is not enough buying the deal, then the deal is dead). BTW, one of the reasons I like Groupon (compared to other sites) is because they seem to offer a lot of deal in many cities. If you live in the DFW area, they have deals for Ft. Worth and Dallas.

Today's deal seems like a pretty good one:

Because it's Friday, this deal is available all weekend. (Usually the deals are only available for one day). You can sign up here to get daily email from them (you can choose 1 city). I have the Groupon email for Ft. Worth deals but I also try to check the Dallas deals each day because every once in a while there is a Dallas deal that is good for all locations (including Ft. Worth).

I'm a fan of Yoplait yogurt. I love the variety and the taste. I was recently asked by MyBlogSpark if I wanted to try the new Yoplait Greek Yogurt. Ummm...of course! It's a new product so I had a little difficulty finding on the shelves...but I did find it! The first thing I noticed is that on the front label it states that it contains 2x the amount of protein than most other yogurts. That sparked my interest. The texture is very different than other yogurts I've tried. It is super thick and very creamy (personally, I am a fan of creamy yogurt so I liked that!!). The end of March-mid May is birthday time for our family. We are busy celebrating birthday with our immediate and extended family members. It's crazy...but it's fun!

I'm a big fan of Mahatma Rice and was asked by BzzAgent if I wanted to try it out. So of course I said yes! I received a package of Basmati Rice and Jasmine Rice. I cooked both of them so that we could have a taste test. Results? They were both yummy! Each one had a little different smell and taste to them but they were both really good. The grains were really long and were not as starchy. The kids loved them. I had fixed Hawaiian Chicken for dinner that night and the Jasmine rice went really well with it!

Then you click on that store and Mr. Rebates will link you to that store. I have looked into MANY cash back sites and rebates sites and I keep coming back to Mr. Rebates. They seem to have the highest percentage cash back...and their coupon codes are always up to date.

When you make a purchase the rebate percentage will go into your account (may take up to 7 days of when the item is purchased or shipped). Once the money is in your account, it will be considered "pending" for up to 90 days (to make sure you don't have any returns). After 90 days it will be considered "available". When you are ready to "cash out" (you need $10 available in your account), you can request a check or have it sent via paypal.
