In 1947, AT&T proposed that the FCC allocate a large number of radio spectrum frequencies so that wide-spread mobile phone service could become feasible and AT&T would have a incentive to research the new technology. We can partially blame the FCC for the gap between the concept of cellular phone service and it's availability to the public. Because of the FCC decision to limit the cellular phone frequencies in 1947, only twenty three cellular phone conversations could occur simultaneously in the same service area - not a market incentive for research.

The FCC reconsidered it's position in 1968, and stated "if the technology to build a better mobile phone service works, we will increase the cellular phone frequencies allocation, freeing the airwaves for more mobile phones." AT&T - Bell Labs proposed a cellular phone system to the FCC of many small, low-powered broadcast towers, each covering a 'cell' a few miles in radius, collectively covering a larger area. Each tower would use only a few of the total frequencies allocated to the cellular phone system, and as cars moved across the area their cellular phone calls would be passed from tower to tower.

Individual Inventors & Mobile Phone Patents

Dr. Martin Cooper for Motorola.
US03906166
09/16/1975
Radio telephone system
Martin Cooper, Richard W. Dronsuth, ; Albert J. Mikulski, Charles N. Lynk Jr., James J. Mikulski, John F. Mitchell, Roy A. Richardson, John H. Sangster
Related Class Patents
Related to cellular phone patents and cordless phones, 64 patents listed.

By 1977, AT&T Bell Labs constructed and operated a prototype cellular phone system. A year later, public trials of the new cellular phone system were started in Chicago, IL with over 2000 trial cellular phone customers. In 1979, the first commercial cellular phone system began operation in Tokyo. In 1981, Motorola and American Radio phone started a second U.S. cellular radio-phone system test in the Washington/Baltimore area. By 1982, the slow moving FCC finally authorized commercial cellular phone service for the USA. A year later, the first American commercial for analog cellular phone service or AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone Service) was offered in Chicago, IL by Ameritech. Despite the incredible demand, it took cellular phone service 37 years to become commercially available in the United States.

Consumer demand quickly outstripped the cellular phone system's 1982 standards, by 1987, cellular phone subscribers exceeded one million, and the airways were crowded. Three ways of improving services existed:

one - increase cellular phone frequencies allocation
two - split existing cellular phone cells
three - improve the cellular phone technology

The FCC did not want to handout any more bandwidth and building/splitting cells would have been expensive and add bulk to the cellular phone network. To stimulate the growth of new cellular phone technology, the FCC declared in 1987 that cellular phone licensees may employ alternative cellular phone technologies in the 800 MHz band. The cellular phone industry began to research new transmission technology as an alternative.

Robot teacher in Japan !!!

View Source

Robot teacher in Japan

TOKYO - FOR THE first time a robot will be teaching primary students in Japan said reports on Tuesday.

Fifteen years of research has created 'Saya', a robot that looks humanoid and is being tested as a teacher after having been used as a receptionist.

According to a report in the Herald Sun newspaper, the robot is multilingual, can organise set tasks for pupils, call the roll and get angry when the kids misbehave.

Japan is determined to have a robot in every home in the country by 2015 said the article.

Fantastically Futuristic Modern Furniture Design !!!!

View Source

Bathing Beauty

This coordinated bathroom set by Bagna Bandini exhibits the very best of ultra-modern Italian design.

Rounded forms, flowing lines and freedom from clutter suit what is for most of us, the room in which we prepare ourselves to meet the day - or night.

Roll-top Desk Revisited

These days homes often house offices and offices are looking more like homes. Personally, the potential savings in battery costs are huge, even if you opt for the Colour’s 3 AA setup over the Touch’s recharging cradle (pictured above).

Strange Shoe Design !!!

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" An informative Article!!

View Source

What is Music Therapy?

There are many forms of alternative pain management that transcend simply medicating the problem. Effective alternative pain management techniques like music therapy have been around for hundreds of years and have provided holistic relief for thousands of suffering people. The music therapy experience can be a fun, inspiring, safe vehicle to address goals such as emotional release, self-expression, body-awareness, group cohesiveness, relaxation/pain management, and creative self-exploration. This emotional release is especially helpful to those in eating disorder residential programs, trauma treatment centers and drug rehab facilities. Emotional well-being is an important component of successful alternative pain management strategies, and music therapy contributes to restoring optimal well-being by using music to address these and other non-musical goals.

Music therapy sessions in a group setting include active music making (singing, drumming), live music listening with relaxation, song writing/lyric analysis, and creative music arts. Playing instruments as a form of expression is used to create a unique non-verbal outlet for emotional release. Drumming is a way to release physical and emotional tension in a healthy manner, and to incorporate the mind-body connection. This alleviation of tension is particularly helpful when used in conjunction with alternative pain management therapies. Those in bulimia programs, anorexia nervosa treatment centers, binge eating facilities and trauma therapy often find great relief through the use of these musical instruments.

History of Music Therapy

Music therapy has been in existence for many years and was once used as a healing therapy for veterans in World Wars I and II. This therapy however, was not officially recognized as an organized profession until the year 1950. Since then its popularity has spread with the opening of the American Association for Music Therapy and the National Association for Music Therapy. These two organizations merged in 1998 and have since been known as the AMTA (American Music Therapy Association).

Who Can Benefit From Music Therapy?

Music therapy can be beneficial to a wide variety of people, especially to those in eating disorder treatment and treatment for drug abuse. These include:

Drug and alcohol addicts

Those with depression or low self-esteem

Abuse victims

People with ADHD/ADD

Struggling teens

People with mental disorders or brain injuries

Eating disorder sufferers

Those with behavioral problems

People grieving from a recent death

The disabled

Benefits of Music Therapy

Benefits of music therapy include:

Improved communication and expression of emotion

Increased attention span

Pain management

Stress reduction

Improved academic, social and motor skills

Decreased behavioral problems

Ability to create and play music

Better memory

Enhanced physiological and spiritual well being

Music is a non-invasive, non-threatening tool that has the power to go deep into the psyche. This ability to transcend superficialities makes it an essential tool for alternative pain management. The effects of this therapy are also beneficial to those in bulimia treatment, treatment for alcoholism, cocaine addiction treatment and anorexia treatment. Music therapy sessions provide a variety of techniques that incorporate sensory stimulation to facilitate the mind-body connection - leading to awareness and a reconnection to the body’s sensations.

Some Creative Hotel Rooms ! ! ! !

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" An Over View !

Fourth Generation (4G) mobiles

4G also called as Fourth-Generation Communications System, is a term used to describe the next step in wireless communications. A 4G system can provide a comprehensive IP solution where voice, data and streamed multimedia can be provided to users on an "Anytime, Anywhere" basis. The data transfer rates are also much higher than previous generations.

The main objectives of 4G are:

1)4G will be a fully IP-based integrated system.

2)This will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s speeds both indoors and outdoors.

3)It can provide premium quality and high security.

4)4G offer all types of services at an affordable cost.

4G is developed to provide high quality of service (QoS) and rate requirements set by forthcoming applications such as wireless broadband access, Multimedia Messaging, Video Chat, Mobile TV, High definition TV content, DVB, minimal service like voice and data, and other streaming services.

4G technology allow high-quality smooth video transmission. It will enable fast downloading of full-length songs or music pieces in real time.

The business and popularity of 4Gmobiles is predicted to be very vast. On an average, by 2009, this 4Gmobile market will be over $400B and it will dominate the wireless communications, and its converged system will replace most conventional wireless infrastructure.

Data Rates For 4G:

The downloading speed for mobile Internet connections is from 9.6 kbit/s for 2G cellular at present. However, in actual use the data rates are usually slower, especially in crowded areas, or when there is congestion in network.

4G mobile data transmission rates are planned to be up to 20 megabits per second which means that it will be about 10-20 times faster than standard ASDL services.

In terms of connection seeds, 4G will be about 200 times faster than present 2G mobile data rates, and about 10 times faster than 3G broadband mobile. 3G data rates are currently 2Mbit/sec, which is very fast compared to 2G's 9.6Kbit/sec.

Zodiac Signs ! This circle also happens to be the plane of the Earth's orbit around the Sun. The zodiac is a thin band of the sky on either side of the ecliptic. The word "zodiac" literally means "circle of life", since most of the zodiac signs are animals or people.

What are Zodiac Signs?

The zodiac is divided into 12 signs, each 30 degrees long. The cycle of zodiac signs starts with Aries, which begins at the spot on the ecliptic where the Sun is on the first day of spring. These 30 degree sections of the sky are actually blocks of space, not time.

Zodiac signs are often confused in the popular mind with "sun signs". When a person says, "I'm an Aries!", what they're really saying is they were born at a time of the year when the Sun is in the zodiac sign of Aries. Because our calendar is designed to mimic the motions of the Sun around the zodiac, the Sun is in Aries at nearly the same time period each year (roughly March 20th or 21st to April 19th or 20th). Hence the 12 sun signs are like months of a calendar based on the zodiac. They represent time, not space.

The motions of the other planets through the zodiac signs can be quite irregular, compared to the Sun's motion. On average, they range from the fast moving Moon (which spends about 2-1/2 days in each sign) to the slow poke Pluto (roughly 12 to 24 years in each sign).

Planetary Rulers of the Signs

Each sign is associated with a planet that is called the "ruler" of that sign. Usually, there is some similarity in meaning or energy between the sign and its ruler. A planet is supposed to express its energy in the most natural, straight-forward fashion through the sign it rules.

Some signs (Scorpio, Aquarius, Pisces) have two rulers, an old, traditional ruler and a modern one. Since the discovery of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto the last few centuries, these planets have replaced the traditional rulers. And with the introduction of Chiron and the major asteroids into astrology, yet-another-round of arguments about rulers is breaking out. Perhaps the entire notion of "rulership" should be taken with a grain of salt.

Sub-Cycle Symbolism

Although a certain amount of mythology is associated with the meanings of each sign, most of these meanings are actually derived by looking at the zodiac as a collection of overlapping cycles within cycles.

For instance, the cycle of the 4 elements (fire, earth, air, water) describes 4 different personality types. This cycle is repeated 3 times around the zodiac.
The 3 modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable) establish 3 distinct styles of expressing energy; this cycle is repeated 4 times.

Each sign has a polarity (positive/negative, or in the older texts, masculine/feminine) that alternates with each sign.

Further, the zodiac is divided into thirds (primordial, individual, universal) and halves (subjective, objective), which suggests a life-cycle of growing emotional and social maturation.
The interweaving of all these sub-cycles then creates the overall profile of the zodiac sign.

Aries

Aries is energetic, innovative, original, pioneering, assertive, quick-tempered, strong drive, leader, ambitious, extroverted, sometimes aggressive, competitive, enthusiastic, self-reliant, and self-assured. <br Airport, is an international airport located near Funchal, Madeira. The airport controls national and international air traffic of the island of Madeira.

The airport was once infamous for its short runway which, surrounded by high mountains and the ocean, made it a tricky landing for even the most experienced of pilots. The original runway was only 1,400 metres in length, but was extended by 400 metres after the TAP Air Portugal Flight 425 incident of 1977 and subsequently rebuilt in 2003, almost doubling the size of the runway, building it out over the ocean. Instead of using landfill, the extension was built on a series of 180 columns, each being about 70m tall.

For the enlargement of the new runway the Funchal Airport has won the Outstanding Structures Award, given by International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). The Outstanding Structures Award is considered to be the "Oscar" for engineering structures in Portugal.

Gustaf III Airport (St. Bart)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY5uhOqGUQEaCKsp3s4KHAjW68lc0q7Q2D0kXMNXkJkbp3RxsQRPjAD0i1LIiAILJtkNCtZ1c7fGdaGrU4uJmqIwTwN28LxDIbxL3Z2sOyJXgGSXSoC3xemGWDINWOAuoTWnUj2QGuyqzZ/s400/air4.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304843602124974722" />

Gustaf III Airport also known as Saint Barthélemy Airport is a public use airport located in the village of St. Jean on the Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy. Both the airport and the island's main town of Gustavia are named for King Gustav III of Sweden, under whom Sweden obtained the island from France in 1785 (it was sold back to France in 1878). The airport is served by small regional commercial aircraft and charters. Most visiting aircraft carry fewer than twenty passengers, such as the Twin Otter, a common sight around Saint Barth and throughout the northern West Indies. The short airstrip is at the base of a gentle slope ending directly on the beach. The arrival descent is extremely steep over the hilltop traffic circle and departing planes fly right over the heads of sunbathers (although small signs advise sunbathers not to lie directly at the end of the runway).

Courchevel (France)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 298px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC0OjCS7UsGgADOsR9wQHu4ib-3hedDKvKujIgcbGgcUDynVcQbxY8i5F-TWDOMCY2PaXGjHEpLIJpGQdtGisTD-q5N1ldnY6Gs-obhv3BiNUMGV_uoi-fr4ECO1TZtL2aoUUbwVLgGz01/s400/air13.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304843320878447234" />

Courchevel is the name of a ski area located in the French Alps, the largest linked ski area in the world. It's airport has a certain degree of infamy in the aviation industry as home to a relatively short runway, with a length of 525 m (1,722 ft) and a gradient of 18.5%. It's so short that you have to land on an inclined strip to slow down and take off on a decline to pick up enough speed.

Who gets to land here? Well, Pierce Brosnan made the short list. This was the airport used in the opening seen of Tomorrow Never Dies. For the rest of us, private plane, helicopter, or charter are the only ways to go, and your pilot is going to need some serious training before he or she is allowed to land at CVF.

Pakistani Student Enters Guinness Book of World Record !

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 367px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjHn9fejPlRm853grQ_Yn1NkkH_UQkQ7ZdcAP06dAUIOlGvlJrVF51sH4eAeZaFAPqUfzr04typmeZTO33Lx3LFYy6lkRvT64zbBJNVjl4fiBhVViGVZ1wokmBnB9haqc7mK1Vu3cn-fbk/s400/pakistani.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304529764233935314" />

RAWALPINDI: Ali Moeen Nawazish of Rawalpindi has brought worldwide recognition to Pakistan by blazing his way into the Guinness Book of World Records, clearing 23 A-Level subjects and securing A Grade in 21 of them.
A student of Roots School System, it was Ali’s “thirst for knowledge” that made him the only student in the world to appear in 23 subjects. He appeared in all examinations within 12 months.
Rarely has a Pakistani student taken up subjects that Ali opted for, like Tourism and Marine Sciences. He is also the first student in the world to have secured 21 A Grades, the previous record being 13.
No wonder his remarkable success drew the attention of major international newspapers with CNN and BBC also airing his interviews. Unfortunately authorities in Pakistan were unmoved. When Ali sat down to fill up his university application forms at home, there was barely enough space to list all his qualifications. With his talent spilling over, it was no surprise that he also achieved a top score in the US admissions test and was accepted by most Ivy League institutions, including Harvard and Yale. Apart from core science subjects, Ali is almost entirely self-taught with his extraordinary memory and amazing analytical powers

Smallest Musical Instruments !!!!!!

Source : www.oddee.com

World's Smallest Saxophone: 12 inches (30 cm) height

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 235px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3ohyphenhyphenWAADyHyNP8Etml0BHDpl-NvsqWgTXv8kWMTtoc4EaZT0d-niHfgQn9UY5w52e-El83UoRLstiYTL-WAZDoDZolA3lCj8iQ63CLbFQpalXe0JFiuXAWABgFk7FB6M3BDmgKoG9peC_/s400/musci3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304526469625549282" />

The Soprillo is the world's smallest "piccolo" saxophone, measuring only 12 inches (30cm) in height (13 inches including the mouthpiece) and sounding a full octave above the soprano saxophone.

World's Smallest Harmonica: 1.9 inches (5 cm) long

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 159px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYi6wrvlhYSj95U8L_cB-roiy6AB-sILIYDHD-2cLAbBeIggOCThYacSaGqVQvm0bweZPtF5xMRpEoUBjwA4aWuP4Eye0Ye1kM8AopTPflMY1NYux46oJ8YXyuvdTk_19rgwLZKTlq8Hxb/s400/musci2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304526129462570002" />

With a dimension of 5 centimeters long by 1.5 centimeters wide, this harmonica is the smallest in the world. Never worry about contracting germs from that disgusting trashcan again when you have the Touchless Trashcan. This handy trashcan uses an infrared sensor that will sense up to 6 inches away when you are approaching and then opens the lid instantly. You don’t have to mess with awkward handles or pedals and the Touchless Trashcan will close again after three seconds. Another handy feature of this trashcan is the specially designed fix ring that holds the edges of the bag tightly so it doesn’t fall and make a stinky, germy mess. The Touchless Trashcan runs on four D Batteries and fits any standard 10, 14, or 16-gallon trash bag. Comes in 7 or 13-gallon style.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 246px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvTO_H1jJw6f0_8tQL4f_tOodbv8bfJ6gPPhY76ett4MDwgjgVNkrlXDMpS-DJTm3E1dKt6p-0_gkYOjoPryAtaROXMqjdAELH_BCvZC1NlOs6bS1kXNyCSunDBJfZ0ebnLAML0dBLocRr/s400/led.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304474672249183490" />

LED-CANDLES

Ambiance – that is something every room needs. With the right mood lighting, a hard day can become a memory and stress can seem to melt away. That is where the LED Blow On-Off Candles can come in!

Regular candles can have a real downside – burning down your home, for instance, in the worst case scenario. They can also be very messy, as the wax usually melts down into a pool, either on a dish, candleholders, or possibly your furniture. With the LED Blow On-Off Candles, you can have the flickering beauty of a candle with the safety of an electric light.

What makes these particular gadgets worthy? They are unique in their design, for the most part. Although they look just like a candle and can fool guests when placed at the right distance and height, these candles not only blow out... but they blow on! With just a little puff of air, you can relight the "flame" of your LED Blow On-Off Candle and really add to the magic of any get-together.

With a master "on-off" switch on the bottom of the candle, these unusual creations work with just 2 AA batteries. On one pair, the LED Blow On-Off Candle can give you flickering beauty and ambiance for up to 300 hours! So, you can have your mood lighting and enjoy it too, as you won't be worried about the safety issues that can come with open flame candles.

The LED Blow On-Off Candle is around 3 inches in diameter, in varieties that are either 4" or 6" tall. You can have a candle in every room…or several.

World's Next Great Cities !-(Source:Forbes)

As globalization continues to push once small cities into the world spotlight, new economic powerhouses and hubs have been created all over the world. If so, you'll want to check out the latest in kitchen gadgets, the Handsfree Can Opener. Other hands free openers can be big and take up space with their electrical cords while others won't open large cans. But this Handsfree Can Opener can open any size can, is battery powered and small enough to fit in your pocket. This gadget is simple to use and is especially handy for people with limited hand strength. Simply secure the opener to the top of the can and hold the button down for a second, for larger cans you may need to push the button twice.

The Handsfree Opener then automatically travels around the top of the can and slices the top right off. It will leave the top of your can smooth with no jagged edges to puncture your garbage bag or cut a finger. Measuring only 6 ½" long and weighing only 7 oz., this can opener is small and completely portable so you can take it almost anywhere, to a family picnic or on your next camping trip. It runs on 2 AA batteries and will open over 100 cans before needing to replace them. Your collection of handy kitchen gadgets wouldn't be complete with the new Handsfree Can Opener

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 168px; height: 192px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibBGTdNwJhOS3erh8CHArLD8Jpemle6-9Ebo0hyphenhyphenuDSS9mIjLKcnKq7CKZA6RINRkIppagR_GNgmEoIIZBlDHyEDHn3n6YxXvFbBPdt_HFfoAEDYHOUgylISooeY2D7OmvXqEtalkfowbTn/s400/kitechen.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304113841264276930" />

Kitchen Counter Herb Garden

Why spend the time and energy to go shopping for fresh herbs when you can easily grow your own? The Kitchen Counter Herb Garden is a countertop indoor device that provides all the necessary conditions for your first garden. The controlled system of air, moisture, light and nutrients make it possible to produce gourmet herbs, even if you have never had any gardening experience!

The garden contains seven herb seed pods, and while each pod can grow a variety of seeds, the kit already comes prepared to grow dill, chives, cilantro, oregano, mint, and two strains of basil. You can also buy pod sets that are ready for tomatoes and salad greens. Can you imagine how good this indoor garden would make your countertop smell? Each seed is covered during germination with a plastic, temperature-regulating dome, and a nutrient-rich, organic water solution is distributed through a hidden reservoir into the pods via a drip irrigation system. This ensures an appropriate level of moisture and allows your herbs to be optimally grown.

Two 26-watt fluorescent bulbs yield up to 24 hours of optimal growing light, and a built-in chip automatically controls nutrient and light inputs to the pods as they grow. With dimensions of only 22" H x 16" W x 10 1/2", it is quite remarkable that such a device can produce fresh herbs without soil, sunlight or pesticides. Use it to spice up your kitchen, office desk, or bathroom, and marvel at how easy it is to run your own mini-garden!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 136px; height: 152px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj49-I1KBU0KuFxxnjhHwx6HKGvw8qV3MlKri5CxeintBI-IFT1-mFUAnAsxwhqhqZO1sMv1K3IqlKFIOqlyDUob_n9Co_hFlbgsSEoVMumntqV1f24yeevS8Gz9knxK7NyGWEXfmRzY2Jn/s400/calc.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5304113042537072466" />
Energy Efficient Water-Powered Calculator
In this day and age of "going green" and looking for alternative sources of energy, the makers of the water-powered calculator are on the path of cutting edge technology. Yes, it is true that solar powered calculators use less battery power, but they still require a battery back-up and that battery still needs to be replaced which causes unwanted waste. But with the water-powered calculator there is no waste and you can re-charge it straight from the tap.

It functions just like any pocket calculator, but can be filled with water or any other type of electrolytic liquid. Equipped with a fuel cell, the water inside the calculator creates a chemical reaction with the zinc anode and cathode. This chemical reaction causes an electrical current, and presto, you can solve all those mathematical equations! Tropical Central and South America is the richest region in the world for butterflies, but they are found in many other places as well. Costa Rica has over 1300 species.

A butterfly's life begins with a very tiny egg laid on a leaf. From this develops a larva, the butterfly's caterpillar stage. Eventually, the larva makes a cocoon or chrysalis. Safe inside, it develops into a pupa. Eventually, a beautiful butterfly is released from this container, flying heavenward, fully-developed. What an astounding transformation, from a humble, earth bound worm-like creature to a delicate flying wonder!

The adult usually eventually returns to the very plant or tree trunk where it grew up. There it lays its own eggs and begins the process anew (a 2 to 3 month cycle).

Did you know that…

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 146px; height: 104px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfxjC20wopJkEue7BMfRjyUCCq1BydLYz_xEcNh_O9HM4BYnUGdvvnJttQnNeQeGsz7kOXbwEVy2H8pu0cStCOWzTYTidRD7dTgSoiZvabGohA25TqFv1cmTCA9QF5FveiYe5ocKhmiA2-/s400/butter2.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303777067794197202" />

1-The color in a butterfly's wings does not come from pigment. The color is produced prism-like by light reflected by their transparent wing scales.

2-Stranger yet, no moth or butterfly eats solid food (though some butterflies drink nectar); some can not even take in moisture.

3-The life span of most butterflies is very short, usually just enough to lay their eggs.

4-Many butterflies migrate from one region to another, either individually or in swarms. The greatest migration in North America occurs when companies of Monarch butterflies travel from Canada southward to Central America. When they finally roost at their destination, so many crowd the forest that entire trees appear to be covered with bright orange moving leaves!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 146px; height: 130px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt1l8EcHz4wvCEd0gl8K_wpWxOZgnn8QCuHFE4jNhoUBDft-g9BQRaG-U9KRcqf7GhF93e4PBYBvmWI-jh2iqW7WfzBnz-k5fCCFI_NKTu0BnFj4nhcHPKHztNWo15UnIiPp0obpHUwE6Q/s400/butter3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303778227584326130" />

5-It is a great mystery how the descendants of these Monarchs later find their way back north to their summering place. Stranger yet, their great-great-grandchildren later find their way back south to the tree of their great-great-grandparents. Their Creator designed them with truly amazing abilities!

6-The world's fastest butterfly is the Monarch with a record of 17 miles per hour

7-The brain capabilities of these small insects is mind-boggling. In a space often no bigger than a speck, their Creator designed a sophisticated brain that enables them to see, smell, taste, fly and navigate with such great precision that they can travel enormous distances and find the very tree where their great-great-great-grandmother laid an egg.

8-Their highly-miniaturized brains put our computers and aircraft avionics to shame. Who could make a self-propelled, self-guided airplane as small as a butterfly that could do the same things, totally independently? Traveling so many miles, landing many times, making so many accurate, in-flight navigation corrections, and doing it all with so little fuel - and then reproduce itself at the end? No one but God could make such a marvelous creature as a butterfly.

9-God created butterflies and moths in many different shapes and color patterns.

This moth has spots that make it appear to have large eyes that are looking at you! Perhaps this scares away predators. Moths are much more common than butterflies.

10-The largest butterfly in the world is the Giant Birdwing from the Solomon Islands. The female can have a wing span of over 12 inches, that's over a foot long! When he lands on your nose; he covers your face!

11-The smallest butterfly ever found was only half an inch long lengthwise.
