Wow, my blog has been neglected for several years. Work has a tendency to do that to us. My years as an administrator with PCSB were some of the best in my career, however when God speaks we need to listen. After struggling for a year, I finally listened and stepped outside my comfort zone and took a position outside of the school system. I now work for the American Reading Company (Still touching the lives of students and teachers). This job has allowed me to get many things in my life back in order. FAITH, FAMILY And FINANCES! My prayer is that I can continue what I started several years ago. Stay tuned for more to come!

Well the best way to sum up this trip was AMAZING! We had no idea in less than one month I would have a new job and the pace we had been keeping would be forever changed! I truly believe that GOD allowed this trip to take place because he knew what was in store and how crazy the next year would be for us! Thank you to everyone who had a part in helping to plan our trip.. it was all great advice and made the trip that much more special!

What a way to end a vacation, but with the Russell's! It was great spending time with Terry, Nancy, Caleb and with Jennifer and her 3 kids. Wished we could have stayed longer , but home was a calling!

This was not Pete's favorite place. It smelled horrible!!!!! From here Pete was on a mission.. to drive all the way across Texas! So much for stopping in Dallas.. I got to see the big city lights does that count? We stopped somewhere for the night! (I think around midnight.) Tomorrow we will be headed to my sister's in Alabama!

We were just passing through and both of us being fans of the group the Eagles..we just had to stop. We all got a souvenir and headed back to the open roads! On the road again.....

We stayed in Flagstaff while we visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona. We ate these corn dog things and that the guy was makign int he top picture. Sedona is beautiful country!

WOW! GOD is so amazing... words can describe the awesomeness(is this a word???) of this sight! We stopped at the store coming in and bought sandwhiches for lunch. Whatever you do..don't drop your food..just ask Sammy, there will be critters eating it before you can pick it up to throw it away. NO 5 second rule allowed!

Last night we stayed at the Riveria because we got to Vegas a day early and the Sahara was sold out. We decided to stay at the Sahara because that is where Pete and I stayed on the Honeymoon 17 years ago! The cool thing was now it has a Nascar theme and it has its own roller coaster that goes inside and outside of the building. The highlight of today for Pete and Sammy was getting to tour the Shelby museum. We really used the extra day to catch up on sleep!

The picture of Sammy with the snow covered mountains is my favorite picture so far! Pete was worn out after the canoe trip across the lake. We spent the night at Signal Mountain Lodge. Jan Grimes told us about this place because her son had worked there. The cabin is beautiful! The sunset picture is from the front porch! Wish we could stay here longer!

The trip from Yellowstone to Jackson Hole was amazing! The mountains were beuatiful and the bear was just an added bonus. We saw traffic stop and pull over. I told Pete stop and let me out it must be an animal. I had no idea it was a bear! I styaed behind a bunch of people and took my picture from a distance. When he looked my way.. I headed for the car rather quickly! When we got to Jackson we rented a room at a hotel when you first come into town on teh right. Can't remember the name! Then we went lookign for a rafting trip! We found it! We were able to go that very afternoon. Aren't the wet suits lovely? I sent a text to Charity and Christal with a picture of Pete in his wet suit... the message was Look.. you Dad trying to ring Sexy back! HA HA We had dinner half way through the rafting trip and it was really good! I will try and scan pcis of the rafting trip later!

This was the KOA in west Yellowstone. WE loved it! I can see us retired and rocking on the front porch of our little cabin. We ate last night at a really neat rest. called OLD town Cafe! It was really good. Now I understand why my Dad wants to move to Montana! The Moose things were near where Sammy was fishing. The buffalo was in the woods where we were walking!! Scared me to death!!!!

Old Faithful was really cool. We had always heard what an amazing site it was to see and we were not disappointed! As you can tell we stopped agin for Sammy to fish... that's ok because it gave us time to relax and just enjoy each other's company!

This day was so much fun. The falls were beautiful and so was all of the scenery. Notice we were in jeans and not shorts. That is because the weather was cool. We wore jackets on and off the whole time. We stayed in West Yellowstone which is actually in Montana.

We loved this spot.

We came around a curve as we were first entering the park and were afraid that someone had went over the guard rail because there were a bunch of cars, ambulance, and park rangers. It was not an accident, it was Mr. Grizzly Bear that was feeding up the hill. The ER people were there to make sure people didn't get to close. Can you tell Sammy just loves having his picture taken with his mom.. ha ha.

Lake Yellowstone- When we first came into the park, we stopped to get lunch stuff and Sammy bought a rod and reel and a special fishing thingy. We stopped at Lake Yellowstone to fish and before he could fish, he had to do pictures.

Sammy caught a big Cut Throat Trout. When he bought the rod and real the man informed him that if you caught one, you had to throw it back.

Cody Rodeo- Extreme Bulls

This car goes around to all of the campgrounds and hotels advertising for the rodeo. If there are any Dukes of Hazard fans, it made us think of Boss Hog. The night we attended the Cody Rodeo, it was the Extreme Bulls. It was televised today (July 19th on ESPN 2) We had the best time, including dinner at the rodeo.

The picture above is of the past World Champion Bull riders that were in attendance for the event. The guy in the pickup was the winner, Chad Denton with a score of 91. The neat thing was that they invite the top 40 on the circuit and the winner was an alternate. He traveled all the way from another ride in Minnesota not knowing if he would even have a bull. When he arrived he was excited to know that he did have a ride. It was his first time ever in the extreme Bulls and he won! It was really neat. It was also awesome that he gave praise to the Lord for even being allowed to compete.

This was after the rodeo. The cowboys that could came around and sat at a long table and signed autographs. The clown was Dusty Tuckness. He did a really good job!

There were 3 different rodeo queens and Sammy was lucky enough to have his picture taken with two of them. The cowboy is Kanin Asey and he is in the top 10. He is our favorite. The announcers really bragged on him becasue no matter where he goes, he always is a walking example for others. He has his bible with him and will share with anyone that wants to listen.

This the the Buffalo Bill Museum.

The museum has 5 museums in one. Sammy loved the gun museum. It has all of the guns that were used by the Cartwrights in Bonanza. If you ever get to Cody you have to make this one of your stops. We stayed for several hours and I think the guys could have spent several days.
