Yummy Mummy is Moving

Hey guys.. Yummy Mummy is finally getting its own domain and space. I know it's not been long since I started blogging but I think I've grown a lot (matured not fat) so, therefore I must move on.

Don't panic if my blog theme is pink in the morning, green at noon or black by night because currently, it's still in the midst of refurbishment. Need a few more fixtures just like having a new home needing some furniture. I've always wanted to this a long time ago (last year actually) but never have the guts to import my posts to a new space (what if it went haywire?) but.. yes there's the BIG BUT. THANKFULLY, I've got some help from tech-wise people like William and Demsi to do innovation work on my blog .

Wait... is my blog a guinea pig? Haha... only kidding. Hopefully I'll catch up with the new layout and editorial stuff so I can start blogging again. In the meantime, watch this space. If you want updates on my new blog, please email me at;

Festival of Qing Ming @ Melaka

This year, our Qing Ming Prayers were planned a little earlier than the previous years. We even left earlier at 6.30am with the kids still in a daze from their early wakey.

The day is still night...

Never leave with a cuppa.. hehe we had McD's for breakfast. Fast and efficient while on the go.

While the 2 big babies were snoring away,

Javier kept himself busy with hub's iPhone

We arrived at Melaka at around 7.45am and the sky was still in between grey and blue. We quickly setup the scene before the sun rises to avoid the heatwave.

The boys were bored so they end up digging the ground looking for worms to scare each other

Then, we took turns to say 'HI' to the oldest YONG. Cecilia also danced to Wonder Girls', "Nobody" with her butt shaking left and right. I'm sure 'the others' enjoyed her mini performance.

The amount of money the late 'Mr Yong' received were about 6-8 big bags in total.
Wonder if he managed to spend them all... HMM

Oh... we're just waiting for FIL's dad to finish his buffet breakfast..

Love is everywhere.. it even happens in the cemetery.. He said, "Soft Cushion". Then, I said, "Picture looks like taken in a resort!". He said, "This can be a resort!".

Yeap! That's a whole pig. Every year, a pig gets to travel to Melaka.
FIL is trying out the meat... Cc said it was dull.. HAHA of course! Who ate it first?
Someone, somewhere once told me, 'they' lick them.

After prayers, we soon left and have proper breakfast. It was only 9.45am therefore, the only place that's open around the corner was McDs'. Oh dear. McDs' twice a day and it was between 6am-10am. Oh well! After breakie ended, after the 3 SILs' have bragged about boys, the Mark X headed back to KL while the X-Trail began it's journey to Melaka Town.

We arrived at our hotel too early so we had to wait at the club lounge where the view was magnificent.

While I watch the business news, the kids hogged Hub's iPhone

We finally got to our room 45 minutes later. We checked ourselves into a Club Suite complete with Club Facilities.

Only 5 minutes ago we entered the room and the kids have searched high and low for the perfect hide n' seek spot.

After the kids took turns to soaked themselves in the tub, we ordered room service for lunch. We eat and eat only. HAHA!

Yummy!!! One plate for each of the kids.. We let them eat then we finished what is left on the plate. The portion was big so no worries, we have our fair share.

We always choose hotels with swimming pool unless it's really unavailable then the kids will just have to settle with bath tubs instead. So, whenever we booked a getaway with the kids, the first question directly will be, 'Do you have a child's pool?' then it will be, 'Is there a bath tub in the room?'. These 2 are the most important things to inquire. HAHA!

When it doesn't rain, the kids get to waddle the pool while I take a rest under the sun. But sadly, it wasn't sunny. How to sunbathe without the help of rays? Freezing disappointing!

These deck beds are so cute... I just want to cuddle in them but it was soaking wet.. duno who so irresponsible. There's a reason it's cushioned OK?

The weather was cooling and the wind was blowing everyone's patience away... HAHA.. the kids were freezing and I was trying to stay warm.

For dinner, we took the shuttle service to Mahkota Parade where we ate Japanese Cuisine.

Melaka food portions are huge.. Hubby and Me were trying our best to finish what we ordered.

We walked over to Padang Pahlawan and saw this cute advertisement with a little boy which resembled Javier.

The kids were having fun taking turns to have a picture taken with the AD which prompt Hubby to make a comic version of it.

Sis asked me to visit her friend's Skinny Yogurt booth in Padang Pahlawan which we savored on healthy yogurt with fresh fruits! I told her I would try to look out for it but it was easy to spot as the booth was brightly lit and it's pretty eye-catching. Too bad, the owner wasn't there because if she was, I would ask for a free serve.. Oh I'm only kidding.. but the guy at the counter was very friendly. :)

I had strawberry yogurt topped with cranberries... WOO-HOO

Hubby preferred the Plain Yogurt topped with almond and passion-fruit syrup.. heavenly! It's healthy yogurt. Costs more than RM5 and less than RM10... it's a deal because it was fulfilling.

On the last day, we checked out and went for a movie. We watched, 'Clash of The Titans' at Padang Pahlawan then had lunch before leaving Melaka. The kids were goo-goo-ga-ga-ing over the cute rice balls and I really miss these balls. Can't remember when was the last time I had them.

On the way out from Melaka, I asked Hubby to stop by Tan Kim Hock because I love their cendol. I'm not really fond of this mouth-watering drink but somehow, I'm in love with this particular one. I also did some food souvenir shopping for the folks back in KL.

Yum! Even Hubby and Joe enjoyed a bowl each. So, if you guys are leaving Melaka, don't forget to stop and take a sip. It's along Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho. You should try their durian cendol.

I Read What I Sing, Do You?

Hey guys... work has taken up my time.. well not 24/7 but I'm lifeless after a hard days' work and nothing beats lying on our cold bed with the comforter over me and dozing off hoping to have a not-so-restless night. I, would most probably awaken to find myself sobbing from some crazy nightmare or sometimes even weirder that I would almost pee from dreaming of going to the toilet.

Then.. there's the occasional office politics which I dread to learn from. It's never too soon to educate myself that colleagues can never be your true friends. Oh wait! Let me rephrase that. It's never too soon to educate myself that CERTAIN colleagues are not so friendly. Friends for benefits that's for sure. Therefore, sometimes it's advisable to keep your mouth shut and be aware of salt and pepper that pours in and out. So, it's been 6 months since I started mingling with people that I learned that it's unnecessary to be too nice to people because they never appreciate you. Regardless whether they had been nice.. it's only a temporary gesture. I mean people use people but hello, at least have the heart to be grateful. I don't hate the people that's unfriendly, instead I'm trying to understand them but then again, why bother wasting time. It's like trying to force a chopstick through a needle eye.

I'm always grateful of what I have. I've never asked for anything more than what I'm have. Though, clothes and make up seems to be two genres that I absolutely adore... hmm. The wonder of needs and its satisfaction. You will never be happy if you are always wanting more.

So, let's get back to life or should I say reality. Nowadays, people fake their lives. Even reality shows aren't real now. Living with scripts. Songs are written just for fun when they should be inspirational and motivating. I'm an avid song listener. Not avid like I can play guess the song/singer game and not to the extend of singing each and every song that pops from the radio but I very much like to understand the story behind the song. Whether it's breaking up, the girl is leaving the guy, or the girl is kicking the guy out, etc.

Recently, Rihanna's song has been playing on the radio. It's not bad for a song and the beat is jumpy but I can't help it when I try to understand the lyrics, it is just pure awful and obscene and I don't understand why is it playing on the radio. Don't people read what they sing? How does our country board of censorship decides anyway? Do they really go through the song word by word or they just censor the part where they think is inappropriate?

Songs like "I Kissed the Girl" shouldn't have been censored in the first place when more obscene songs like, "Touch My Body", should be kept indoors.

Javier's 5th Birthday

My little one turned 5.. sob sob he's so big now.. he's not my baby anymore.. his birthday started early this year. As early as Saturday when his birthday is dated for Tuesday.

We got him his birthday present on Saturday so he'll have lots of time to play with it till the next day.

So while Javier enjoyed his new Hot Wheels Set, hubby enjoyed thumbing on his PS3.

Then on Sunday, we had a lunch date with my in-laws to celebrate Javier's birthday. We ate Dim Sum at Tai Thong, Plaza Cheras. Hmm.. food here isn't as great as it used to be and the service was as bad as molded bread.

Birthday Gal Wannabe

After lunch, the older kids followed their 'Ku-Jies' to dance class while we had 2-on-1 time with Birthday Boy. We went to The Gardens & MidValley Megamall. We had ice-cream, we surveyed Toys R' Us and got a few more toys, we bought books YAY, and lastly, we really had a good time with Javier when all eyes were on him.

On Javier's actual birthday, hubby and me took leave. YUP to the dislike of my boss. HAHA! It was impromptu and unnecessary but nevertheless it was what we need like a day off on a weekday and also it was a surprise for the kids as well as we had planned for the day ahead.

Our weekend was really FUN! We went to Tropicana Mall, had breakfast at Subway, went for the 'Alice in Wonderland' movie and, we went and 'TA-GEI' at the arcade center.

Foodful 2010 Chinese New Year

New Year come.. New Year go... How do we prosper from CNY? We eat! Yup we had a week holiday and all we did was eat and laze around and probably eat and eat and eat. We see food, we put them into our mouths, we see mandarin oranges, we stuffed them into our mouth, and when there is keropok, nothing stops you from finishing the whole container. Then when it comes to liquid, there's never enough; the packet drinks, Shandy, soft drinks, beer, etc. So, how did I prosper from my 2010 CNY? I've picture summarized it below:

The NEW YEAR has passed, soon old ends and new begins. Time sure passes by fast these days. Birthdays after birthdays then celebrations after one another. But, one thing for sure is to be grateful in whatever you do. Be glad with what you have and don't complain as there are others out there who are less fortunate than you.

Amsterdam --> Frankfurt

My sis and I were sent to Frankfurt to attend Paperworld Frankfurt Exhibition. We flew to Amsterdam via KLM 2 days before the exhibition as we planned to go for some sightseeing. Our flight was super full and the flying was pretty smooth. Food wasn't as par as MAS but service otherwise was one thumb up :). We arrived at Schiphol Airport just before 7am (12am in KL/-7 hours difference) then took the train to Rotterdam to meet up with sis friend, Jamie who resides with her hubby; who will be our host for 2 days.

Not even an hour of freezing air and I'm already puffy.

ROTTERDAM

We reached Rotterdam about 45 minutes later. Jamie and hubby, François picked us up. Pity we woke them up while they were still sleeping. They didn't expect us to reach so early. Anyways, they brought us to their apartment which I really adored... with the view, the layout and simplicity.

Jamie took leave for the day and drove us to Roermond for shopping. It was about 2 hours away by car from Rotterdam and on the way... I saw beds of snow.

I put on UGG boots to keep my feet warm and the UGGs' kept falling down.... aarggh

Rows and rows of designer labels.. CK, POLO, GUCCI, BURBERRY, FOSSIL, NIKE and some names that I don't even know. I'm a poor at brands. But, I so wished I had my ANGPAO money that day! I could have scooped up at least a few great bargains!

For lunch, I had PIG Sausages topped with Satay Sauce accompanied by Roasted Potatoes.. they don't call them PORK.. they called them PIG instead.

After spending half a day at Roermond, we drove back to Rotterdam to do some grocery shopping. KNOPPERS galore!

For dinner, we had Salmon Spaghetti.. sauce prepped by François before he left to Frankfurt for a business meeting... THANK YOU François. Your dish fed me well

Then the next day, my sis planned out the activities for the day. We took trains to Amsterdam to Anne Frank's House, we did some shopping and went for scenery seeing. I lost my black and gray shawl to the winds of Netherlands.

We had Dutch Pancake which I topped with TABASCO® sauce to kill the cold. We ordered one each... couldn't finish all... but, we dug up the fillings and ate them!

Funny that here in Amsterdam, you find more men in the kitchen than women... Men are much more friendlier than the ladies here.. this gentlemen had been to Malaysia 15 years ago. He will visit Malaysia soon... this time with his family probably 5 years later.

I also got to 'walked by' the SEX MUSEUM... I wished I had more time to visit the museum because I heard there was a section about 'The Evolving of Penis'. I never really quite ponder on this topic but now that I know, I do think if the size and shape changed from THEN and NOW?

How about some sex candies? Perhaps Dick Stick or maybe Choco Butt or something perkier like Milky Big Boobs. They're all safe to eat but not safe to hold..

After a tour of the city, we took the train towards the west of Amsterdam to Zaandijk where the Dutch windmills are...

The view was magnificent.. even though it was snowing heavily, we were able to cross the newly built bridge to the village of Zaanse Schans .

The sky was so beautiful.. this was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen.

Then, we visited the cheese factory.. there was no demonstration though

The clogs factory.. different sizes and shapes and patterns.. you have cartoons to animals to flower prints to furry ones. We didn't get any human size clogs but were did get little cloggies as souvenirs for all and also these...

After a long walk back to the train station, we arrived back at Rotterdam about 5pm to meet up with Jamie for dinner. She booked a table at a popular South African Restaurant. But, before I nibbled on new flavors, I tried out the 'Food On The Wall'.

It was freaking delicious.. I chose Satay again. OMG the best snack food ever!!!

Oh well.. we were really lucky as normal rooms were full... so, we got UPGRADED! Wahaha.. we got ourselves checked into a bigger room complete with kitchenette and living area and a walk-in closet to Elaine's delight! The walk-in closet was only wide enough for Elaine's luggage and her. HAHA.

Room 104... can we have this room again if we happen to attend Paperworld 2011? Pretty pur-leese?

After we checked in, we walked to the nearest train station about 5 mins away from our hotel and headed off to Messe Frankfurt.

TADA we did it in 1½ hours... our products were missing at first and it took them about the same time as us unpacking and displaying our goods to find them. So, we wasted 1½ hours which we could have used for shopping. HAHA I was only kidding.

After fretting for our display stuff, it was time for dinner. We stopped one stop before our hotel stop which was at HAUPTWACHE (pronounced as harp-hwa-her) to dine at CAFE HAUPTWACHE

This place has its very own history.. it used to be a militia base then a police station that housed prisoners... but it got transformed into a diner soon after the WWII.

I always love the walk back to our hotel because of this bed of snow which reminds me of Auntie Shirley's Apple Potato Salad.

FIRST DAY OF PAPERWORLD

What a surprise! We got goodies at our booth. For a period of 4 days, we have an electric kettle which we must return, we have coffee, sugar and creamer, plastic cups and serviette and 6 bottles of mineral water for our composition.

Our first day was practically try to hang on and getting by it.. because of the snow, lots of in-flights were canceled.. therefore many people got stranded.

We had sandwiches for lunch and I had a muffin for Tea Break

And I have chocolates almost everyday

After the first day of exhibition was over, Mr Kenneth Fong from the Interactive Fairs and Trade Management invited us both for dinner at The Australian Bar.

We called 2 dishes and we shared as the portions were HUGE. We had a slice meat each of EMU, KANGAROO and CROCODILE. Wild meat keeps us warm.

Sis and I had a meeting in Hall 4 with one of our suppliers at 6pm. After cocktails and some finger foods to fill up our hungry tummy, we left the bonding session and headed back to our room sweet room.

Walking on snow isn't as easy as it looks... since part of them are melting, roads were slippery and I felt we were walking on slushies.

On our way back to the hotel, we 'tapau' our dinner from a Lebanese Diner.

THIRD DAY IN FRANKFURT

8.45am and it was snowing in Messe Frankfurt with gloomy weather

On our way back to our hotel.. everyday we braved through the snow

The snow falling got heavier as each day passed.. so, it wasn't fun being outdoors

Most exhibitors started clearing up their stuff at 2.30pm. I heard tapes splitting, boxes crashing and people yapping all the way. Since today was the last day of exhibition, we got off early at about 5pm to do some friendly shopping.

Our Last Dinner in Frankfurt and it has got to be a memorable one... because, I had 2 huge pork knuckles seated right in front of me

Ooo... this beer was tasty... it's called, 'Kaktusfeige Beer'

My humongous Pork Knuckles which was A-OKAY with Sauerkraut which I'm not a fan of and thank God sis is.. so she helped me with the pickled cabbage.

We did some shopping for ourselves with OUR OWN MONEY and some behalf of friends with THEIR OWN MONEY then hasten back to the hotel.

What I got most out of the evening was my hat decorated with snowflakes... looks like my hat got PIMPED!

THE DAY WE CHILL BEFORE WE LEFT TO THE AIRPORT... yup we did all this from 9am-12pm on the same day.

After we got everything we wanted, after we ate all the food we can and after 5 days of hard work, we were on our way home via KLM.. we took a Fokker from Frankfurt to Amsterdam at 3.20pm and arrived at Amsterdam Airport at 4.30pm then took the next flight to KL at 8.30pm. It was really tiring during transit as we walked, waited and looked for necessities.

This was the hardest thing to look for... the VAT REFUND booth. It took us an hour to find this hiding place. We sweated and oiled and agonized over this period of time. HAHA but we counted ourselves lucky as we got transferred to an earlier flight so thankfully, there was enough time.

Turning 25 With People I Love

I turned 25, two days ago. And I've got all the people I love and the people who loves me around me. And that really makes me happy.

Hubby got me a surprise on the 8th, the day before. He planted a Thomas Sabo Box in my day bag and when I got home from work to upload stuff into my bag, I saw this striking white box.

It's a Charm Bracelet from Thomas Sabo!!!

Ain't it a beauty? I've always wanted a charm bracelet to tell a story of my life but I've never really point it out. But, I guess the Husband heard me.

This charm is very special.. it represents me as a mother in different languages.

Whereas, this snowflake charm meant that I've experienced snow before.. haha just days ago only!

So.. how did my family celebrated my 25th Birthday? Hehe.. ok.. the Pops and Mops went for a holiday in Bali along with my sister and her other half days before my bday. So, right after we touched down on Thursday from our business trip to Frankfurt, and after a short bath of course, we headed off for my celebratory dinner at 'CHUI MAO' restaurant along Jalan Peel.

So... on my Birthday, while Hubby was busy sending the kids to school and while he took leave to be the househusband at home; while my brother slept through the morning; and while my parents and sister were in Bali, I was busy prepping myself for work. I put on my Birthday Presents happily and I knew that it's going to be a wonderful day filled with well wishers.

On a bright sunny Sunday afternoon, a group of family went for 11 pax lunch buffet at the Lemon Garden Cafe in Shangri-La, KL. The occasion was to celebrate Dad's 59th Birthday and Jake's 27th Birthday.

There were food, there were yapping, there were play and mostly there was family affair! The kids even enjoyed ice-cream along with 'Jumping Balloon' , clown plus face art.

.....while the KWOKS' took numerous pictures to the delight of Uncle Yan.

After the scrumptious lunch and after it's been paid by 'big brain', we all headed off in our own ways. One car went back to Bangsar, one car went back home and the other stopped at Pavilion then proceed home safely.

But... little Javier's fun didn't end just there. He insists that his modified yellow balloon is his 'KuKu-Bird'!

Javier was unwell since yesterday. He had high fever due to sore gums and throat. My parents brought him to the doctor as I was working. But thankfully, he's okay now. Gone is the fever but the mouth ache is still there. His appetite haven't returned yet but it's coming. He's definitely jollier than yesterday.

This morning, I woke him up to go to the market with my mom. During his bath time, he said,

"Mommy, wait I go market, people see my face 'bengkak' then they laugh at me how?"

Aww.. ain't that cute? I didn't know little kids have such thoughts. In the end, he gave up his tantrums and followed me and my mom to the market and he craved for soya bean so I got him a cup. Home-boiled for sure. :)

Later in the afternoon, when he had played Bejeweled and Search & Find Games on my laptop, his mood was better and he wasn't so needy anymore.

At 2pm, it was medication time. We skipped the fever meds since his fever had subsided. Sleepiness took over.

Actually, sleepiness will take over me soon. I can feel the grogginess. The last time I had a nap on a weekday was.... the day before I started work. HMPH! Btw, I take naps every weekend. To Hubby's annoyance, every time he turns his back and then back to me, he finds me sleeping on the couch, on the bed, on the car-seat and sometimes on the sofa at my in-laws.

Last week, my colleagues and I went for karaoke session at Neway, Cheras Plaza. We went there after work after changing into shorts and I actually did my makeup in the car. Surprisingly, makeup without mirror looks much better. LOL!

So, it was my 2nd trip to a karaoke joint. Sounds like a lie but it was really my 2nd. The first time I went was with Cecilia and Nancy when I went there to brush up on my, "The Moon Represents My Heart" for a performance on my in-laws' 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2007.

Coincidentally, Miss San San's birthday also falls in the month of January so why not kill two birds with one stone, right? Plus, birthday girl gets FOC buffet dinner, a cake plus, a bottle of sparkling juice.

Judith's First Week in School

Judith started Primary 1 this year whereas Joe is in Primary 3. I tagged along on the first day of school to give the kids a head-start. I was as excited and nervous as Judith was. Joe, was his normal self 'buat tak tahu aje'.

Time : After 7am; before 7.15am

After the queue to class has ended, anxious parents like these and of course myself, stood outside the class to annoy the much annoyed class teacher.

Judith, happily found her desk by the window.

The kids sat for a moment to get themselves used to the surroundings while the parents 'PAY-UP'

After the forms are filled, the fees paid, the teacher taught her students how to greet her in return and they learned the NegaraKu immediately. Lol! Then, the kids proudly introduced themselves.

Judith said,

"Nama saya Judith Ann Yong Qi. Saya 6 tahun. Kamu boleh panggil saya Judy."

On the 2nd and 3rd day of school, it was Hubby's turn to bring the kids to school. He's there to make sure Judith knows where to sit during recess, where to go after recess and where to wait after school. The DOs' and DON'Ts' @ school.

Hub's 27th Birthday

Hubby turned 27 last Friday. We didn't have a big party nor a family dinner due to his family's busy schedule. First, dinner on Saturday was on the agenda but then, one was tied up so, Sunday Lunch came to mind but again it got canceled because he or she had plans at the last minute. I guess everyone has their own modes of plan nowadays but a postpone date might come up later. We'll never know till the last minute :p.

Well, never mind bout that. Today, mom cooked some stuff up to celebrate Hub's birthday at home. It was simple and nice which equals to a hearty meal.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas this year. This year, I celebrated Christmas with my family. My in-laws had plans of their own so... yippie for ME and yippie for Nancy who joined us!

Mom and Uncle Yan put up a real-life tree this year. Yup, it came with thorns but it's all well taken cared by Uncle Richard. Our first living Christmas Tree.

Happy 'Tang Yuen' Day, guys. Did you feel the cool air today? It was quite a gloomy day hence, during the past, folks believe that it is the arrival of winter, 'Dong Zhi'. Since granny isn't in KL this time around, mom made 'tang yuen' for us to eat in the morning! We had the yummy balls before we went to work which was great for breakfast. Something different! ALAS!

'Tang yuen' comes in different sizes and colors but the most common ones are white + pink.
How do you normally have your 'tang yuen' eaten?

Does your 'tang yuen' comes with chopped peanuts and sugar?

At 'The Kwok's Residence', we skinny dip our glutinous rice balls into the yummylicious peanut mixture. Hmmmmmm YUM! After that, we gulped the remaining 'tong sui' @ sugar water.

And... Hubby never goes to work without filling himself up with eggs. 3 soft boil eggs to be exact.

There you go.. a simple 'Tang Yuen' day for us. Chinese beliefs that today is also the day we grow a year older. Oooo....

So sorry you guys for not updating my blog. Had a rough week. Had migraines for the past week and a half. But no worries, all is well between me and my head!

So... Cc was one of the finalist of the MARTELL VSOP Rising Personalities Awards 2009. She got nominated out of so many rising personalities out there. The final event was held in Studio 99, Bangsar 2 weeks ago. Hubby, ME and Nancy went along to support Cc after work. When we arrived, there were cameras flashing, celebs posing, girls gossiping and guys worshiping them especially those sexy ones.

Sad to say, I'm not one of them haha and I'll never be because a place like Bangsar will never like me nor would I say I'm fond of. I prefer the cafe at the corner at the end of lot or probably the bookshop that I'm happy to browse through the whole day.

Victor's 1st Birthday

It was Victor's 1st Birthday a week ago. Mom made a cake for him. Victor is my sister's Godson. He's so cute and adorable but which baby isn't? We went over to Victor's place for dinner, steamboat style.

The Mission @ Penang

I call this The Penang Mission because we were really on a mission. Haha but there was some fun in it too. Ok this was last minute. Probably the most last minute luggage packing I've ever done. I was stressing over the luggage department. We brought Nancy to Batu Ferringhi, Penang for her ballroom dance competition. We left on Friday the 27th which was also Elaine's Birthday which was also Hari Raya Haji. Nancy stayed at Bayview Hotel as she had booked months is advance whereas we had to settle at Holiday Inn because all the other hotels like Hard Rock Cafe, ParkRoyal were fully booked.

Finally, we reached Penang

I had to wake up early the next day because I'm Nancy's photographer. Admission is at RM50 per person so, the kids and hub remained in the hotel while I spent half a day at Bayview surrounded by giants draped in sparkly colorful textiles.

So... besides snapping pictures of Nancy, I took some pictures of other dancers too.. I adore some of their costumes and some... NOT!

While we waited for results, Nancy and I chilled.. hanging around till there's nothing else to do no more. Results came later in the day. Nancy got 3rd place in Novice. What a great dancer she is. She only took 1½ months of ballroom lessons and I guess she'll go far if she keeps it up.

I did not do anything.. and btw, she isn't crying.. she's just fooling around but the feet does hurt.

Alas all the hard nights' work and the lost weekends... ended in a day

Besides the dancing, the lights and the blisters, the kids had their share of fun too. They went for a swim... they walked at the beach.. they even had room service too!

Mom has been baking recipes, trying out new flavors lately. Since I've started working, there were many cake moments which I failed to document. Below is a cake made by mom, ordered by my colleague for her daughter's birthday. It's a Doraemon themed chocolate cake.

A week ago was my sister's birthday. There was a mini dinner celebration at home among family members but I failed to attend because hubby, the kids and I went on a mission. Never mind bout that. The mission blog post will come up soon.

So.. early morning at 7.15, something arrived!!!!!

A bouquet of flowers for Miss Elaine... from 'Latuk K' from somewhere that you need a plane to get to.

And you guys and gals, don't panic... don't be nervous... this was Birthday Girl's reaction when the bouquet flew onto her bed.

A tank top from Promod. The most expensive tank top I've ever bought in my 24 years of life.
She loves it because it has butterflies flying around a lady which probably is her!

And.. I made her a butterfly bookmark in just 3 days.
