Christian Revival in Muslim Algeria

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Tue, 15 Dec 2009 04:25:00 +0000

The end of the age is quickly approaching, especially when you hear of Christian revivals sprouting up in Muslim countries like Iraq and now Algeria. The Holy Spirit quickly gaining momentum in northern Algeria. Just think of it, in 2008, the government of Algeria put into effect a law banning Muslim conversion to another religion. This primarily affected the Christians there who almost all of them are converts from Islam. That and the fact that Christian churches would be illegal there. Yet despite this man-made obstacle, the Hand of God has been seen in 2009. Why? According to Pastor Youssef Jacob, churches there have grown 802 %. Interestingly enough, most of these converts do not have any prior experience in Christianity. The bottom line of it all, they simply say that they believe in God and His Word.

Our Christian Sisters

I said it before and I`ll say it again, Christianity is slowly gaining grounds in Iran. The Iranian people are fed up with the oppression that they have been experiencing . They are opening the doors and converting to Christianity. They are learning that Jesus is the one that died for them on the cross and only through Him are they promised a better life of unspeakable joy!
Two Iranian converts whose names are Maryam and Marzieh have been imprisoned because of their Christian faith ever since March of 2009. Just recently (Oct. 7), they were taken to an Iranian court to face 3 charges: 1) Anti-state Activities 2) Propagation of the Christian Faith 3) Apostasy.
Because of many prayers, they were acquitted from the first charge. As it stands now, they will be transferred to a revolutionary court to determined the last two charges. The two are reportedly in ill health, but their faith is as strong as ever. Let`s pray for these prisoner`s in their chains-Colossians 4:18.

National Strike In Puerto Rico

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Thu, 15 Oct 2009 05:49:00 +0000

It`s incredible but 20,000 government employees have been given pink slips this year because the government is bankrupt. Unemployment rate here is at 15%. People with more than 10 years of government service have been booted out. People are so distraught here they`ve been seen crying in front of the TV cameras. Labor unions are calling for a strike against this government to start at 6 am, the 15th of October. An extra 15,000 police officers are being called into duty to pull 12 hr shifts. The National Guard might be called in if things get ugly. Most of Governor Fortuno`s family left the island for security reasons. This is an island heavily populated by Christians who are feeling the effects as well to the island`s economic instability. May God help us.

Discriminatory Arrest For Preaching in N.H.

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sat, 10 Oct 2009 04:52:00 +0000

Two Christians were arrested in New Hampshire for preaching the word of God. They were on a street corner on Ocean Boulevard in Hampton Beach. The officer arrested them for "unreasonable or loud noise". Ironically there was a loud rock concert going on nearby that was not hindered by police. The police officer mocked them saying, "Where is your God now? He`s not behind these walls,"as they were being locked up. According to the attorneys, the statute for disorderly conduct in Hampton Beach is very vague and allege the officer applied it in a discriminatory and arbitrary way.
In the end these two men were traumatized by the event, especially having their freedom of speech violated. I know that there are many Christian cops out there. This officer obviously isn`t one of them.

U.S. Soldiers With Morale Problems

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Fri, 09 Oct 2009 13:37:00 +0000

There are many emotionally depressed soldiers making their way into a chapel on a U.S. base southwest of Kabul for the past few months. They are speaking up and describing their disillusionment and depression because of their tour in Afghanistan. Soldiers simply are blurred as to what there mission is over there. According to Captain Jeff Mesengale of the 10th Mountain Division`s 2-87 Infantry Battalion, soldiers are becoming increasingly frustrated and depressed. He told The Times newspaper that they simply want to get back to their families. Alarmingly divorce rates are skyrocketing adding to the hellish scene to families. Life as a soldier in Afghanistan is either becoming an amputee, becoming killed, suffering from stress disorder, or eventually losing your family to divorce. Specialist Raquime mercer told The Times newspaper, "We`re lost-that`s how I feel. I`m not exactly sure why we`re here." The chaplains there are counseling many soldiers, and sending them out again. May God help them.

Being Christian Isn`t Easy

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 27 Sep 2009 06:32:00 +0000

Hi all I`m back, it`s been awhile since my last post, I know. I just now read an article about two Pakistani Christians being thrown in jail because of false testimony against them. Sandul Bibi and her father have been in jail for 11 months because of their evangelism in a Muslim village. In fact they were reportedly very aggressive in winning over souls to Christ. This goes to show you how much more work there is to be done in God`s service. We can all do our part in prayer and continual support for our brothers and sisters of the faith over in the mid-east and Asia. Sister Sandul is very comforted knowing that her Savior Jesus Christ is with her always. "And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Mathew 28:20. In good times and in bad, God is always with us as long as we remain in communion with Him. In the end we will meet up with Him and He will say to us, "job well done!' We must continuously pray for others as well as letting our hearts open to God so that He may guide us to do His will. May we all cross the finish line together...Amen.

Time Is Running Out For Planet Earth

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Fri, 07 Aug 2009 04:49:00 +0000

The H1N1 virus has been slowly spreading ever since the outbreak in Mexico early this year. It`s so contagious that it`s now reached pandemic status. In the U.S. there have been 5,514 hospitalized cases and 353 deaths since last reported by the CDC on July 31,2009. This data includes the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Now there are rumors of the Yellow Plague being reported in parts of Puerto Rico. Then there`s the Pnuemonic Plague surficing in China. As a matter of fact they quarentined the entire town of 10,000 people as 3 men died from it already. This plague is deadly, it kills you in 24 hours.
The H1N1 Vaccine is being tested, but what of all these other plagues popping up? It`s best to meditate on this:

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Hate Crimes Bill Expected To Pass

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Thu, 16 Jul 2009 05:45:00 +0000

A bill that would include the words "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" is expected to be voted on as early as July 16. Critics say that this bill will pose a grave threat to Christians here in the states in terms of prosecution. Why? The Bible teaches that homosexual behavior and other sexual relations outside marriage are sinful. If God says that homosexual behavior is wrong then who are we to argue with the Creator?
" Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders" 1Corinthians6:9 NIV.
Here`s a question. Is it a crime to proclaim the Word of God?

As one scholar put it, “The Codex Sinaiticus is one of the world's greatest written treasures.”The Bible`s website is at, www.codexsinaiticus.org.

Is Micheal Jackson Saved Or Lost?

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 05 Jul 2009 05:07:00 +0000

Friends very close to Micheal Jackson fear the worst. Gospel music artists Andrae and Sandra Crouch feel they didn`t do enough to lead Jackson to Christ. According to the article on Christian Today, Micheal Jackson had questions about what makes a person spiritual. I guess any Christian can answer that question without thinking twice about it. Further down in the article a spokesperson mentioned that there`s no confirmation as to where Jackson stood spiritually.

In the end ,the decision will be left to God.

Christian Church In Iran Growing

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Thu, 02 Jul 2009 02:30:00 +0000

Amid the chaos in the Iranian government from the controversial elections, there has been a severe crackdown on the muslim protesters. Yet there has been a continuous concern for our fellow Christians in Iran who expect to receive severe persecutions because of their faith. History has always shown the results of Christianity. Once it surfaces it then spreads like wild fire as if driven by a Divine Hand.
Folks, there is a Christian Revival in Iran. So many of them have a deep spiritual emptiness as a result of their social problems and difficulties in their government. They`ve just discovered that the only Person that can meet their spiritual demands is Jesus Christ. Stay tuned.
Pray for them, always.

Iran`s Christians In Danger

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Thu, 25 Jun 2009 04:42:00 +0000

In today`s breaking Christian news: Christian Solidarity Worldwide says it is concerned about the safety of the minority Christians in Iran. Due to the extraordinary unrest of it`s elections, they may be targeted as sympathizers of the West. There has been severe friction by Iran`s government against the Christians especially by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad past administration. The CSW fears that conditions will continue to deteriorate for Christians amid the current political chaos. President Obama has condemned Iran for it`s "unjust actions" against the protesters. An example was the now famous video footage of Neda Soltan being executed by a sniper.

Southern Baptist Membership Down

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Wed, 24 Jun 2009 07:33:00 +0000

The nation's largest evangelical denomination reports it gave more to missions work, but lost members and baptized fewer people last year.

Fighting the good fight is a 24/7 battle for many Christians. Yet in these last days there are some
who are quickly losing steam or motivation to spread or reiterate God`s Word. It doesn`t matter what denomination you are. We must keep in mind that time is running out and Christ is close at hand. Isn`t the human soul worth the effort?

Adventists And Evangelicals Meet

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 07 Jun 2009 19:31:00 +0000

This is actually old news but only now did I come across it. What amazed me is the fact these two large denominations are actually meeting together. Seventh-day Adventists are Sabbath observers. Evangelicals are mainly Sunday church goers. There`s a great controversy as to which is the Lord`s day, Saturday or Sunday. Although there are differences in other fundamentalist teachings, these two churches meet for a common goal. Adventist participants agreed with the Evangelicals WEA Statement of Faith, which focuses on the Bible as the Word of God, the Trinity, the person of Jesus Christ and his saving work, justification by faith, prayer, conversion, sanctification, and the Second Coming of Christ. http://www.christiantoday.com/article/adventists.and.evangelicals.expect.statement.of.common.goals/12321.htm
Both institutions are fighting for a common cause and that's religious freedom.
This is something that is slowly being taken away from us!

Christian Persecutions In India

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 31 May 2009 06:25:00 +0000

Here we are in the 21 st century and we still see Christians being persecuted in the world. Amnesty International has taken up the cause to defend the Christians in India who aren`t being adequately protected by their own government. There own churches are being burnt down by these Hindu nationalists . At least sixty Christians have died along with 5,000 homes destroyed. The police there either don`t respond or respond very little. Lastly, guess what? The US Commission on International Religious Freedom announced its plans to visit India in June. Who knows, maybe they`ll bring with them the 400 page report Amnesty International had submitted.

Bible Study Illegal in San Diego County

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 31 May 2009 05:25:00 +0000

It`s amazing on the kind of stuff I`m reading like this story for instance on a San Diego couple who were told by a county employee that they need a permit to hold bible study!! No wonder this country is going down in flames! What`s even more incredible is that it`s in reference to their own home! Right now I`m wondering what would happen if they were to have religious assembly outside of their home. They probably be arrested! The signs of the times is getting so that perhaps even owning a Bible would be illegal. Read the article on the link below and judge for yourself.

How To Know God`s Will

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Tue, 26 May 2009 15:59:00 +0000

Decisions, decisions, decisions.
From early on in our lives we confront many questions affecting us as individuals. Questions such as what subject shall I major in; what college shall I attend; whom should I marry; how big should my family be? Decisions bombard us everyday. Yet the reality of it is that our worldly worries should take a back seat and never take the place of spiritual things. Remember what Jesus said,"Thy will be done". So what`s Gods` will?
In 2Peter 3:9, the Lord is "not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance". Our priority is in Christ Jesus. God doesn`t want any one of us to be lost . God doesn`t force anyone to love Him . Our love to Him is voluntary and with joy. Why? That`s because He first loved us! John 7:17 says, "If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority"(NKJV). Just from reading this text one can meditate the fact that we must have a willing and surrendered heart in order for God to let us know His will.
God guides us, "Thy word is a lamp onto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalm119:105).
God has given us instructions verbally and in writing throughout human history of what is right and what is wrong and to keep ourselves in communion with Him. We not only can determine what`s Gods` will through scripture, but from our fellow brethren . "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety"(Prov.11:14). Don`t seek counseling or advice from just anyone, "Do not be deceived, evil company corrupts good habits."(1Cor.15:33).
We definitely must pray daily, in order to know what`s Gods` will is , so that He can guide us. We should on occasion include fasting because it amplifies our prayer experience. In determining the will of God, we must be patient. " We count them happy which endure. Ye have of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy" (James 5:11).

The Presence Of Christ Is Needed

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Sun, 24 May 2009 18:30:00 +0000

Mark 9: 25-29 reads ,
" When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting".
In this passage the physical presence of Christ was needed to oust a demon who
possessed a person. It`s to be assumed that there are some demons with greater powers than others. Christ mentioned prayer and fasting as the only way to force out this particular demon He called dumb and deaf.
Today as Christians there is no difference as to how we should do things. In this alarmingly troubled world that we are living in, we still need to be connected to the Lord. We pray to Him to confess our doubts, difficulties and everyday life.
Importantly enough, we still need to fast (at least a few hours) to make it easier for us to submit more to the Spirit and not to carnal desires. I should emphasize that prayer is where we receive our spiritual strength , fasting merely amplifies this strength. Lastly, we need to study continuously the Word. The presence of Christ through Scripture and prayer is necessary for us to confront the difficulties that may come our way.

Teens Around the world fasting for 30 hours.

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Fri, 01 May 2009 04:03:00 +0000

I didn`t know that there was an organized program called the "30 hour famine". This international youth movement is in nearly 20 different countries around the world, and each year, teens willingly give up food for 30 hours to raise money to help fight world hunger. Half a million teens in the U.S. alone raised 12.2 million dollars for Famine. All of the proceeds go to World Vision, an international humanitarian aid organization, that uses the money to help feed hungry children and their families.

For more information about how you can help fight poverty and hunger in your neighborhood and around the world, visit http://www.30hourfamine.org or call 1-800-7-FAMINE (1-800-732-6463).

Massive Christian Celebration Allowed

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Fri, 24 Apr 2009 04:51:00 +0000

Officials permit rare, open-air Easter event by unregistered groups.

HO CHI MINH CITY, April 22 (Compass Direct News) – In what religious freedom advocates regarded as a breakthrough in Vietnam, authorities granted rare permission to unregistered house church groups to hold a large, public Easter-related service here last night. More than 15,000 people gathered at Tao Dan Stadium to worship God, proclaim Christ and experience a rare sense of large-scale Christian unity, especially house church members accustomed to meeting in small groups. The only other such event granted to unregistered groups was an open-air meeting during Christmas of 2007 sponsored by the Vietnam Evangelical Fellowship (VEF, a house church umbrella group). At the event last night, the VEF endeavored to include all house churches, not just its own members, sources said. Unregistered groups holding an event that includes worship and evangelism outside a church building violates Vietnam’s restrictive religion laws, and the celebration – in which 1,200 people indicated they had decided to follow Christ – did not happen without struggles. Reluctant to endorse such Christian unity events, authorities demanded and got the removal of one of the organizers as a condition to consider approval. Officials did not grant permission until 4 p.m., just three hours before the event was to begin, though event organizers had requested permission several months prior.

Christian Persecutions

A deacon missionary was served 15 days in prison because he was feeding needy children. The missionary`s home was raided by NSS secret police and he was jailed on March 27. He was later released.

Matthew 5:10 - " Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Christianity Spreads Quickly In China

noreply@blogger.com (AskandRecieve01) — Fri, 24 Apr 2009 03:04:00 +0000

China boasts one of the world`s largest Christian populations. It`s estimated at about 100,000 million and growing!!
China is experiencing a great freedom of worship, but in Communist China the Church is controlled by the government. The churches that are not registered by the government run underground. Unfortunately, those Christians are constantly harassed, imprisoned or tortured. The Amity printing Company is the world`s largest Bible printing facility in China. Ironically many Chinese are unable to buy their Bibles for financial reasons. Bible Society, with the approval of the Chinese government, has been printing and distributing Bibles through Amity Press since 1987. During that period, more than 40 million Bibles have been printed and distributed within China.
