Kisah ini jadi peringatan bagi orangtua agar mengawasi si kecil. Seorang bocah 13 bulan bernama Imad Aleeyan dipergoki sedang mengunyah kepala ular yang memiliki panjang 12 inchi atau 30,48 centimeter. Ini memang tampak sulit dipercaya karena dia baru punya gigi susu yang baru tumbuh enam buah.

Ibunya yang melihat aksi mengerikan itu sontak berteriak, mengagetkan para tetangga. "Waktu itu saya sedang membuat susu, saat menoleh ke dia, saya melihat ada ular di mulutnya," kata Ghadir Aleeyan, yang tinggal di Perkampungan Arab di Kota Shefa'Amr, Israel, seperti dimuat Telegraph. "Saya lalu berteriak, tak percaya apa yang kulihat.
Para tetangga yang mendengar teriakan histeris langsung berlarian menghampiri. "Kami bergegas masuk ke rumah, dan menemukan bayi dengan ular di mulutnya, sedang dikunyah. Adegan yang menakutkan, mengerikan," kata tante si bocah, Yasmin Shahin.
Langsung Menangis
Orang-orang dewasa yang mengerubungi Imad Aleeyan dengan wajah ngeri berusaha mengeluarkan ular itu dari mulutnya. Mereka lalu membunuh binatang itu, yang saat dikeluarkan masih bernyawa.
"Saat kami menarik ular itu dari mulutnya, Imad langsung menangis," kata Yasmin, lalu menambahkan, kepala ular yang berada dalam mulut keponakannya nyaris hancur.
Setelah ular itu dikeluarkan, para orang dewasa langsung memeriksa si bocah, kalau-kalau ada bekas gigitan. Ternyata tak ada. Dokter Rumah Sakit Rambam di Halifa juga mengkonfirmasi, bahaya tak mengancam.
"Dokter mengatakan, ular itu berbisa, untungnya di musim dingin, racun yang mereka lepaskan berkurang." Binatang yang bisa tumbuh hingga sepanjang 1,3 meter itu juga tak aktif di musim dingin.

Afriyani juga menjelaskan bahwa dirinya tidak mungkin dengan sangaja melakukan hal itu, karena dia sangat peduli dengan orang-orang yang hidup di dekatnya. Afriyani sudah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka utama dalam kecelakaan maut itu. Dia dinyatakan terbukti berkendara tanpa membawa STNK, tak memiliki SIM, merusak fasilitas umum, dan menghilangkan nyawa manusia.

Hj Yurnely, 51, ibunda Afriyani, sudah meminta maaf kepada keluarga korban. Selain itu, keluarga Afriyani berjanji akan memberi dana santunan kepada keluarga korban.
