Industry Standard for Network Marketing Leads is depending on the brand and price of entry.

Business

I believe Network business are unique in the world of business because it's not only important that we win, but how we win. Marketing is the key skill that is missing when people run their MLM business. You will spend more money and time buying lead list and cold calling them then actually building your business. To be a success in your business, you must learn how to do some marketing on the Internet. Successful people think a long way into the future and they adjust their daily behaviors to assure they achieve their long-term goals in their network marketing business. Network marketing success only happens when you have certain key factors taken place in your business and that key is the leads.

Leads

Leads offer is available to all approved MLM Marketers. Leads are people who already show some interest in a home based business opportunity, so they are generally easier to work with. If you want MLM opportunity leads to call you at home chasing you down, and then put yourself in a position to attract them to you. MLM Leads should only be generated by you and not anyone else. What I have found to be a common way to build a network marketing business is to buy generic leads from lead companies and cold call them using your phone. But be acknowledged that buying MLM Leads from lead companies is not an effective way to build your network marketing business all the time.

Success

The only way to do this is to master the art of lead generation for massive success. Network marketing allows anyone the opportunity to be a massive success in areas of their lives. This was the most important lesson that should be learned when you started network marketing before you will be able to started seeing massive success in this business. They all are looking for more effective ways to become a big success in network marketing. Stop making excuses and start winning because you really can be successful in MLM. One way to make sure that your multi level marketing company stays successful is to have a product that will be popular for a long while. Find out what you need to help you with your internet business so you can achieve your dream of success.

Conclusion

MLM training must consist of Internet marketing training, traffic and lead generation, just to name a few. Lead generation is a skill that most network marketers aren't taught by their upline coaches. Many new and veteran MLM distributors are not shown how to market their network marketing business. Creating your network marketing leads yourself by using your own website will solve this problem.

Author : Tsuyoshi E. There has been much debate recently about what to call this new phase. Some would prefer to not name it all, while others suggest continuing to call it "Web 2.0". However, this new phase of evolution has quite a different focus from what Web 2.0 has come to mean.

WEB 3.0

John Markoff of the New York Times recently suggested naming this third-generation of the Web, "Web 3.0". This suggestion has led to quite a bit of debate within the industry. Those who are attached to the Web 2.0 moniker have reacted by claiming that such a term is not warranted while others have responded positively to the term, noting that there is indeed a characteristic difference between the coming new stage of the Web and what Web 2.0 has come to represent.

The term Web 2.0 was never clearly defined and even today if one asks ten people what it means one will likely get ten different definitions. However, most people in the Web industry would agree that Web 2.0 focuses on several major themes, including AJAX, social networking, folksonomies, lightweight collaboration, social bookmarking, and media sharing. While the innovations and practices of Web 2.0 will continue to develop, they are not the final step in the evolution of the Web.

In fact, there is a lot more in store for the Web. We are starting to witness the convergence of several growing technology trends that are outside the scope of what Web 2.0 has come to mean. These trends have been gestating for a decade and will soon reach a tipping point. At this juncture the third-generation of the Web will start.

TIMELINE AND DEFINITION

Web 1.0. Web 1.0 was the first generation of the Web. During this phase the focus was primarily on building the Web, making it accessible, and commercializing it for the first time. Key areas of interest centered on protocols such as HTTP, open standard markup languages such as HTML and XML, Internet access through ISPs, the first Web browsers, Web development platforms and tools, Web-centric software languages such as Java and Javascript, the creation of Web sites, the commercialization of the Web and Web business models, and the growth of key portals on the Web.

Web 2.0. According to the Wikipedia, "Web 2.0, a phrase coined by O'Reilly Media in 2004, refers to a supposed second generation of Internet-based services — such as social networking sites, wikis, communication tools, and folksonomies — that emphasize online collaboration and sharing among users."

I would also add to this definition another trend that has been a major factor in Web 2.0 — the emergence of the mobile Internet and mobile devices (including camera phones) as a major new platform driving the adoption and growth of the Web, particularly outside of the United States.

Web 3.0. Using the same pattern as the above Wikipedia definition, Web 3.0 could be defined as: "Web 3.0, a phrase coined by John Markoff of the New York Times in 2006, refers to a supposed third generation of Internet-based services that collectively comprise what might be called 'the intelligent Web' — such as those using semantic web, microformats, natural language search, data-mining, machine learning, recommendation agents, and artificial intelligence technologies — which emphasize machine-facilitated understanding of information in order to provide a more productive and intuitive user experience."

Web 3.0 Expanded Definition. I propose expanding the above definition of Web 3.0 to be a bit more inclusive. There are actually several major technology trends that are about to reach a new level of maturity at the same time. The simultaneous maturity of these trends is mutually reinforcing, and collectively they will drive the third-generation Web. From this broader perspective, Web 3.0 might be defined as a third-generation of the Web enabled by the convergence of several key emerging technology trends:

Ubiquitous Connectivity

Broadband adoption

Mobile Internet access

Mobile devices

  Network Computing

Software-as-a-service business models

Web services interoperability

Distributed computing (P2P, grid computing, hosted "cloud computing" server farms such as Amazon S3)

  Open Technologies

Open APIs and protocols

Open data formats

Open-source software platforms

Open data (Creative Commons, Open Data License, etc.)

  Open Identity

Open identity (OpenID)

Open reputation

Portable identity and personal data (for example, the ability to port your user account and search history from one service to another)

  The Intelligent Web

Semantic Web technologies (RDF, OWL, SWRL, SPARQL, Semantic application platforms, and statement-based datastores such as triplestores, tuplestores and associative databases)

Distributed databases — or what I call "The World Wide Database" (wide-area distributed database interoperability enabled by Semantic Web technologies)

Intelligent applications (natural language processing, machine learning, machine reasoning, autonomous agents)

CONCLUSION

Web 3.0 will be more connected, open, and intelligent, with semantic Web technologies, distributed databases, natural language processing, machine learning, machine reasoning, and autonomous agents.

MORE INTELLIGENT WEB

The threshold to the third-generation Web will be crossed in 2007. At this juncture the focus of innovation will start shift back from front-end improvements towards back-end infrastructure level upgrades to the Web. This cycle will continue for five to ten years, and will result in making the Web more connected, more open, and more intelligent. It will transform the Web from a network of separately siloed applications and content repositories to a more seamless and interoperable whole.

Because the focus of the third-generation Web is quite different from that of Web 2.0, this new generation of the Web probably does deserve its own name. In keeping with the naming convention established by labeling the second generation of the Web as Web 2.0, I agree with John Markoff that this third-generation of the Web could be called Web 3.0.

The Indexable Web is more than 11.5 billion pages

Abstract

What is the current size of the Web? At the time of this writing, Google claims to index more than 8 billion pages, MSN Beta claims about 5 billion pages, Yahoo! at least 4 billion and Ask/Teoma more than 2 billion. Two sources for tracking the growth of the Web are [6,7], although they are not kept up to date. Estimating the size of the whole Web is quite difficult, due to its dynamic nature (According to Andrei Broder, the size of the whole Web depends strongly on whether his laptop is on the web, since it can be configured to produce links to an infinite number of URLs!). Nevertheless, it is possible to assess the size of the publically indexable Web. The indexable Web [4] is defined as "the part of the Web which is considered for indexing by the major engines". In 1997, Bharat and Broder [2] estimated the size of Web indexed by Hotbot, Altavista, Excite and Infoseek (the largest search engines at that time) at 200 million pages. They also pointed out that the estimated intersection of the indexes was less than 1.4\%, or about 2.2 million pages. Furthermore, in 1998, Lawrence and Giles [3] gave a lower bound 800 million pages. These estimates have now become obsolete.

In this short paper, we revise and update the estimated size of the indexable Web to at least 11.5 billion pages as of the end of January 2005. We also estimate the relative size and overlap of the largest Web search engines. Precisely Google is the largest engine, followed by Yahoo!, by Ask/Teoma, and by MSN Beta. We adopted the methodology proposed in 1997 by Bharat and Broder [2], but extended the number of queries used for testing from 35,000 in English, to more than 438,141 in 75 different languages. We remark that an estimate of the size of the web is useful in many situations, such as when compressing, ranking, spidering, indexing and mining the Web.
Data files
The data used in the experiment are available for download in UTF-8 plain text format, compressed with bzip2. They are formatted as follows
SearchTime, Engine, Query, Rank, URL, CheckTime, GMTY
The field SearchTime is the integer returned by the system function time() at the time of the search. The field Engine indicate the queried search engine, and Query is the word used in the search. Rank indicate the position of the URL among the first 100 returned by the search engine. The last two fields are related to the checking procedure. The field CheckTime represent the integer returned by the system function time() at the time of the check, and the field GMTY indicate if the URL was recognized (1) or not recognized (0) by each search engine (G=Google, M=Msn Beta, T=Ask/Teoma, Y=Yahoo!).

URLs normalization
Since we used the web interface of each search engine to check the presence of the URLs, lot of care have been taken while normalizing them. In addition, we eliminated from our computations the URLs not recognized by the originating search engine after the normalization, to avoid any possible bias that could be introduced applying this procedure.

On each retrieved URL, we applied the following steps

Hex-encoded characters (%XX) have been converted in a standard ISO-8859-1 characters

Html entities have been converted in their corresponding standard characters

Every URL, not terminating with a dot (.) followed by 2-5 characters, has been considered as a directory, and a slash (/) have been added to its tail.

Everything (parameters) after the question mark (?) have been removed (question mark included)

URLs containing invalid characters (spaces, quotes, equals...) have been eliminated

Engine sizes estimation
In the square distance method, we tried to minimize the square distance between the estimate sizes in each pair of engine. Let A and B be two search engines, and let x and y be the relative sizes coefficents such that x*A=B and y*B=A, using as lower bound the declared sizes of the engine's indexes, we tried to minimize (for each engine) the square difference between the declared size and the relative size obtained by the pairwise overlaps.

In the linear program approach, we built a linear program with 12 contraints of the form A-y*B<=Cn for each n from 1 to 12. The objective was the minimization of the sum of the Cn variables. Each engine variable (in this example A and B) represent its index size, and can assume any value greater or equal to the declared engine's size.

Both the approaches give similar engine's sizes.
Indexed Web estimation
Analyzing the coverage of each engine over the 5 rounds, we obtained the following engines coverages
Google=76.16%, Msn Beta=61.90%, Ask/Teoma=57.62%, Yahoo!=69.32%
on the test data. Since we generated the same amount of URLs from each engine, and since we eliminated the URLs not recognized by the originator engine after the normalization process, we can consider these values as representative of each engine's coverage of the Indexed Web. Thus, using the estimates engine's index sizes, we can estimate the dimension of the Indexed Web, for each one of them. Averaging these values we obtained the declared 9.36 billion pages.

Furthermore, computing how many URLs are recognized by every search engine (among the URLs in the test data), we can estimate the number of URLs of the Indexed Web, shared by the four search engines. The estimate intersection of the engine's indexes turned out to be the 28.85% of the Indexed Web, or about 2.7 billion pages.

Bibliography :

[1] A.Gulli and A.Signorini, Building an open source meta search engine [WWW2005]
[2] K.Bharat and A.Broder, A technique for measuring the relative size and overlap of public web search engines [WWW1998]
[3] S.Lawrence and C.L.
