Pam's October Design Team Reveal!

The weather here lately has been chilly, not quite that snow cold, but still chilly. So Pam's Design Team Reveal this month seems so fitting. Pam worked with the new SEI Wintersong line did a wonderful job designing with this line. This line is much more beautiful in person - what you don't see online is that this line is packed with velvet flocked papers, foiled papers and even some glittered accents - it's truly stunning! The mix of red's, blue's and white is very refreshing.

Misty's October Design Team Reveal!

Jumping on to another great Christmas line, we've got another treat in store for you. Misty worked with a combination of the new Jillibean Soup Grandma's Christmas Crab Soup collection & the Scenic Route Garland collection. I loved that these 2 lines worked so well together.

Misty did a fabulous job working with these 2 lines and amazingly created a non-Christmas themed layout. It's always great with a themed line is not restricted to 1 theme only. And what about those adorable handmade red flowers on the Butterfly Kisses layout...ah...aren't they gorgeous??

Peggy's October Design Team Debut!

There are so many beautiful Christmas lines on the market that this month I decided to jump to ahead to winter and have our design team work with some of the newest holiday themed lines.

Peggy worked with the new SEI Christmas Mint collection. This line is packed with foil, glaze and sparkle - I just adore it. This line is wonderful for scrapbook layouts and just as awesome for your holiday cards. Peggy did a wonderful job showcasing all the beautiful elements to this line, each of her layouts is practically a masterpiece! Peggy has a knack for adding small little touches to her work that make you go "ah, love that!"

Once upon a time, long before scrapbooking...I used to love sewing professionally made Halloween costumes! It seems like so long ago but there was a time all I did was create fantastic costumes for my friends and family. And then I found scrapbooking and never looked back.

I loved reading all your sweet comments about our October Haunted {SAS}sy Kit and hearing about the coolest costumes you have ever seen! In the spirit of sharing, I thought I would share a couple of my favorite costumes!

One year I made this Carmen Miranda costume, it was hilarious! I do have to admit the fruit on my head was a little heavy so after a few hours at work, my head was throbbing.! But like a good pair of heals, it was well worth it. {wink!} Another favorite costume I made was this Elvis one. I don't know if I liked the wig best or the funky boots but it was another costume that ranks in my top 2! I hope you enjoy and thank you again for sharing your favorite costumes with us.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Scrap Attack Scrapbooking is excited to join in the efforts to raise awareness. Anyone can get breast cancer - for example, did you know…

• The older a woman, the more likely she is to get breast cancer?
• White women are more likely to get breast cancer than women of any other racial or ethnic group?
• African American women are more likely to die from breast cancer than white women?
• Men can get breast cancer? (Although it is rare.) Less than one of every 100 cases of breast cancer in the U.S. occurs in men.

The best way to find breast cancer in its earliest stages is to routinely check your breasts for signs and symptoms of the disease. Awareness and education is the key to fighting this horrible disease.

We love getting new releases, it's so fun to actually unpack them and ooh & ah over them! We've recently unpacked some amazing new lines from Crate Paper, Bella Boulevard & Jenni Bowlin!

Recent CHA releases from Crate Paper include North Pole, Season & Cottage - they are all stunning!

We've also unpacked the 3 newest lines from Bella Boulevard! Plastino, Flirty and Camped Out - they are all beautiful! (I will warn you the images online of Flirty are not the greatest - the line in person is not nearly as "neon" as the images online look.)

I love that the Camped Out collection is extremely versatile!! Here's a quick layout I made using this new line:

Red...I just love scrapbooking with RED! Especially a nice rich crimson red like the new Jillibean Soup uses. This month Peggy received a kit packed with new Jillibean Soup {Lentil Soup} and a fun combination of coordinating October Afternoon Cherry Hill papers. I love the combination of layouts created and how distinct each layout is. If you look closely, you will see that Peggy did some amazing fussy cutting on the papers - it adds so much to her work and I just love it how it all turned out!

Jillibean Soup is a new company to the Scrap Attack Scrapbooking store and I feel in love with ALL the lines as soon as I opened our boxes! One of my favorite things about these new lines are the {Soup Staples} cardstock - they are polka dotted on one side and a cool grid on the other side! The best of both worlds all in 1 paper.

I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend!

First up this month for our {SAS}sy Design Team reveals is Diana, aka Dianagirly. This month Diana worked with a combination of the new 3 Bugs in a Rug Spread Your Wings collection and October Afternoon Cherry Hill collection. These collections mixed and matched very well but what I love most about them is the black - so classy and it makes the rest of the colors just pop off Diana's pages. Diana did a great job using her supplies and created various themed layout with them - each and every layout is a keeper! {wink!}
