Uploading โดยใช้ Picasa เพื่อนำภาพขึ้น Picasaweb
หลังจากติดตั้ง Picasa เรียบร้อยแล้ว ระบบจะมองหาภาพที่อยู่ในเครื่องคอมพ์ของท่าน โดยท่านสามารถกำหนดได้ว่าให้หาเฉพาะ folder หรือ drive ใด และไม่ โดยเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ตลอดเวลา.

Picasa ให้ประโยชน์หลายประการ หนึ่งในนั้นคือ upload

Windows 7 May not Be Faster Than Vista

จากการทดสอบโดย PC World Test Center พบว่า version Windows 7 Release Candidate ยังไม่ดีไปกว่า version อื่น และอาจไม่ดี หรือเร็วมากนักเหนือ Vista ทั้งที่ ประสิทธิภาพเป็นสิ่งต้องการของผู้ออกแบบ Windows 7.

มีผู้เห็นด้วย และผู้ค้านมากใกล้เคียงกัน

Allow me to suggest a good light digital clock if you find the default WM clock is too small to read on your Windows Mobile 5 or later.

It shows the digit right on your Today Screen

You just have a small part of item added to your Today Screen

Free = freeware
Safe
Tip: You can tap and hold to let the options appeared.
Opinion: One thing I like about it is that there are lots of options to set this simple clock. One option I run is to remove Day/Date out of the screen to have more space. Oh.. It's better if you remove the dafault Windows date/time out of the screen.
Opinion: You can change the color of the digits or the background

What is the Photos folder for?

Subfolders in your Photos folder become albums that you can share (click your album via the web interface to get a publicly shareable link.) Simply drag and drop photos directly off your digital camera into an album and they're online. If you're lazy like us, it's way easier than uploaders or email.

If you're really clever, you can combine this with shared folders and have group photo albums for your Vegas trips, weddings, etc. -- and you'll be sharing the original jpegs, not lower-quality web versions.

้ถ้าเราสร้าง folder ขึ้นใหม่ใน Dropbox Photos ก็คือเป็นการสร้าง album ขึ้น ซึ่งสามารถสั่ง share โดยการ

ท่านสามารถ drag ภาพถ่ายจากกล้อง หรือ memory card ไปยัง Dropbox > Photos ในเครื่องของท่าน แล้วระบบจะนำขึ้นบน Internet เอง ซึ่งง่ายกว่า การคอยสั่ง upload และ ส่ง email (ซึ่งอาจทำหลายรอบ).

โดยการไปที่ web interface (ซึ่งคือไปที่ getDropbox.com > log in > .. > Photos > ..แล้วคลิ๊กขวาที่ชื่อ album (ถ้าเป็น Firefox..) > Copy Link Location แล้วแจ้งให้ผู้อื่นทราบ. เนื่องจากมิได้อยู่ใน Dropbox > Folder จึงต้องมีการ share แบบที่ผู้รับ share ต้องมี account และ log in.

ด้วยวิธีนี้ภาพถ่ายของท่านอยู่ในรูป resolution สูงได้! ซึ่งนี่คือข้อดีกว่า web ด้านภาพถ่ายทั่วไป.

How public are Public links? How Private are my other files?

Any file in your Public folder is accessible to anyone who can guess your public file link and the path to the file. No one can browse the directory, though.
Any file in your Dropbox outside of the Public folder is by default only accessible via computers linked to your account or to you via the web interface.
If you give out a shareable link to a portion of your Photo Gallery, people who know the link will be able to browse any photos in the album you linked from (and albums inside it)

ไฟล์ของท่านที่อยู่ใน Dropbox > Public สามารถเข้าถึงได้โดยผู้อื่น โดยต้องเดาเป็นระดับหนึ่ง จึงทำให้ copy URL ของ ไฟล์นั้นได้. อย่างไรก็ตาม ไม่มีใครสามารถเข้าถึง directory ของท่าน ใน Dropbox > Public ได้.

แนะนำใช้ประโยชน์ Dropbox ครับ นั่นคือ การ share แบบไม่ต้อง sign in หรือ log in คือ share แบบ Public. ท่านใช้วิธีนี้ เมื่อต้องการแจ้งให้หลายคนทราบ โดยไม่ระบุ เช่น วันต่อมาหลัง share แล้ว อยาก share ให้กับผู้อื่นอีก โดยใครคนหนึ่งที่ท่านไม่เกี่ยวข้องด้วย อาจสำรวจ Dropbox แล้วเข้ามาเห็นไฟล์เดียวกันนี้ได้ ประโยชน์อย่างหนึ่งที่เห็นบ่อยคือ ท่านไม่ต้องส่ง email ซ้ำ โดยต้อง upload ไฟล์อีก เป็นต้น

ขั้นตอน
1) ที่เครื่องคอมพ์ของเรา ให้นำไฟล์ที่ต้องการ share แบบ public ไปวางที่ Public folder ของ Dropbox
ดังแสดงในรูป
ซึ่งอยู่ในรูปใหญ่ถัดไปนี้

2) เมื่อระบบดำเนินการโดยอัตโนมัติคือ ส่งไฟล์ขึ้นบน Internet เพื่อกำหนด URL (ตัวอย่าง URL เช่น http://www........com/7xikkdQ......) เสร็จแล้ว จะเห็นเครื่องหมายถูกที่ไฟล์นั้น (ดังแสดงในภาพถัดไป) ให้เราคลิ๊กขวา ที่ไฟล์นั้น > Dropbox > Copy Public Link > URL ถูกจำ (copy ไว้แล้ว)

3) Paste URL นี้ลงใน email, IM หรืออื่นใด ผู้รับสามารถเข้าถึงไฟล์นั้นได้

Tip:

วิธีนี้ใช้กับโฟลเดอร์ไม่ได้ ถ้าต้องการ share โฟลเดอร์ต้อง share แบบอื่น
สามารถดำเนินการเพื่อให้ได้ URL ดังกล่าวได้โดยไปที่ home page ของท่าน

แชร์ไฟล์ โดยเฉพาะภาพถ่ายแบบ real time ในเครื่องของเรา แล้วระบบ sync ก็ update ให้
แถมมีรายละเอียดแจ้งบอก เมื่อเข้าชม. ฟรีนี้คือที่ 2GB. นอกจากนั้น หากเราเชิญเพื่อน ให้เข้าใช้ระบบฟรีนี้ พื้นที่ของเราก็ได้เพิ่ม อีก 250 MB ต่อเพื่อนที่สมัคร.

ผู้เข้าชม และใช้ไฟล์ร่วมไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นสมาชิกของ Dropbox ก็สามารถเห็นไฟล์นั้นที่เราสั่งแชร์ถึง

ผมชอบ Firefox จึงมาให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มอีก เพราะเพิ่งเห็นว่า Firefox ปรับตัว คือมี Quick Search เกิดขึ้น ซึ่งมีข้อดีคือ ผมหาคำที่สนใจได้เร็วขึ้น และ ไปยัง link ที่ต้องการได้เร็วขึ้นอีก.

เมื่อท่านอยู่ที่ web page ใด และต้องการหาคำใดเป็นการเฉพาะ เช่น "โทร" ก็แค่พิมพ์คำนั้นทันที Firefox จะเข้าสู่ mode "Quick Search" และ highlight จะไปอยู่ที่คำค้นนั้นทันที (ถ้ามี) และหากเป็น link และต้องการ เพียงแค่กด Enter ก็จะเหมือนใช้ mouse กดที่ link นั้น "ผมว่านั่น สะดวกมากเลย"

การเปรียบเทียบ Browser ระหว่าง IE7 และ Firefox?

Browser คือโปรแกรมที่ใช้สำหรับท่องอินเทอร์เน็ท (sufring the Internet) คือใช้ในการเปิด web page และอย่างอื่นอีกมาก. Browser ที่ผู้คนส่วนใหญ่รู้จัก และใช้คือ Internet Explorer (IE) เพราะมีอยู่ในเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์แบบ PC แทบทุกเครื่อง เนื่องจากรวมมากับ Windows ของ Microsoft Corp. ซึ่งประเด็นนี้กลายเป็นคดีใหญ่ใน USA ว่าผิดกฎหมายเกี่ยวกับ (Clayton) Antitrust Act และการค้าเสรี Free Trade หรือไม่. เพราะทำให้ Microsoft Corp. ได้เปรียบเชิงการค้า มากมาย. ผู้ฟ้องกล่าวว่า 1) ไม่มีความจำเป็นใด ที่ต้องแนบ IE มาพร้อม Windows ฝ่าย Microsoft ยืนยันว่าจำเป็น 2) Microsoft สร้าง code การทำงานให้เกิดความลำบากต่อ Netscape เข้าใจว่าเป็นเรื่องจริง และปัจจุบัน Microsoft Corp. ไม่มีทำแบบนี้อีกแล้ว เพื่อเปิดการทำการค้า แบบเสรี หรือ free trade อย่างเต็มที่ และกลัวกฎหมาย (Clayton) Antitrust Act ในครั้งนั้น คู่ปัญหาของ Microsoft คือ Netscape ซึ่งต่อมาถูกซื้อโดย Microsoft และคดีนี้เข้าใจว่าเงียบกันไป. ปัจจุบัน Opera ซึ่งเป็น browser อีกตัวหนึ่ง ดำเนินการฟ้องร้องเรื่องเดียวกันนี้ กับศาลใน EURO.

ปัจจุบันมี browser ตัวใหม่ที่มาแรงขึ้นมาต่อกรกับ Microsoft นั่นคือ Firefox ครั้งนี้ไม่ธรรมดา เพราะเจ้าของ Firefox หลักในปัจจุบันคือ Google ยักษ์ใหญ่แห่งวงการ IT Search engine. การต่อกรกับยักษ์ใหญ่อย่าง Microsoft Corp. เพื่อช่วงชิงชัยชนะในวงการ browser คงไม่จบลงง่าย แต่ Firefox ก็ขึ้นต้นมาถึงวันนี้ได้ดี เพราะมีผู้ไว้ใจใช้ Firefox มากขึ้น จนขึ้นเป็นอันดับสองรองจาก IE ของบริษัทที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก มีทีมงานมหาศาล Firefox ทำได้อย่างไร.
Firefox ทำได้ครับ เพราะปัจจุบันเป็นของ Google ไปแล้ว และเพราะ Google เป็นของคนหนุ่มที่คิดไม่เหมือนใคร และนอกกรอบของระบบอนุรักษ์ แต่ขึ้นกับเหตุผล และโอกาส. Google มีที่ทำงานหลายแห่งทั่วโลก. ต่ออีกนิดหน่อยสำหรับ Google ซึ่งเมื่อกันยายน 2007 Google มีพนักงานประจำ 15,916 คน. เริ่มต้นธุรกิจในปี 7 Sept 1988. กลายเป็นบริษัทมหาชน ด้วยทุนจากมหาชนรวม US$1.67 billion เมื่อ 19 August 2004, และกลายเป็น US$23 billion ในปี 2007. GMail ก็ดีครับ แม้มีข้อบกพร่อง เพราะยังเป็นฉบับ beta version อยู่ มีลักษณะเด่นเพิ่มขึ้น และปัจจุบันมีพื้นที่ให้ใช้ถึง 6 GB แล้ว. GMail มีจุดเด่นรวมกันแล้ว ทำให้ผมต้องมาใช้ และได้ประโยชน์มากถึงทุกวันนี้. ขนาดระบบ email ของ Google ที่ใช้กันในระหว่างแต่ละคน ยังเลิกไปแล้ว ทุกคนของ Google ใช้ GMail. หากท่านใช้ GMail ท่านจะได้ประโยชน์จาก Google Calendar และ Google Apps ภายในมีกี่ คลิ๊กต่อไปเท่านั้น แล้วท่านจะสื่อสารกับผู้คนได้อย่างรวดเร็ว และฟรี. กลับมาเรื่องหลักของเรา Microsoft Corp ได้เรียก Google เป็นคู่ต่อสู้ละดับที่ 1 มานานแล้ว และเพิ่มขึ้นอีกเมื่อ Firefox ได้กลายเป็นของ Google. อีกทั้ง ได้รางวัลหลากหลายในวงการ IT. Firefox เป็นชื่อนิยมเรียก ชื่อเต็มคือ Mozilla Firefox ที่ได้รับรางวัลจากหลายแหล่ง เช่น เฉพาะในปี 2007:

6) Find:ผมชอบ feature นี้มาก เพราะใช้บ่อย. ข้อดีคือ (1) ไม่บังพื้นที่ web ซึ่งอาจเป็นบริเวณที่เราสนใจ กล่าวคือ กล่าวคือ เมื่อกด “Ctrl+f” (เป็นรูปแบบใช้งาน Find ที่เหมือนกับของ IE) ด้านล่างของ Firefox จะปรับตัวเอง กลายเป็นบริเวณคำสั่ง Find โดยรบกวนพื้นที่ด้านล่างสุด เพียงประมาณ 1 บรรทัด (ซึ่งโดยมาก ไม่เป็นตำแหน่งที่เราสนใจมองอยู่แล้ว) และ เมื่อเราพิมพ์คำที่ต้องการค้น ก็เกิดการ (2) ทำงานทันที และรวดเร็ว โดยไม่ต้องกด Enter ให้เสียเวลา. แม้ดูเป็นเรื่องเล็ก แต่หลายคนรู้สึกดีทีเดียว ที่ software ให้ทำงานได้คล่องขึ้นกว่า สิ่งที่คุ้นเคยเดิม.

Session Restore เป็นจุดเด่นที่มีประโยชน์ ผมชอบมากจริง.

หากไม่ต้องการกลับไปยังหน้าเดิม ให้คลิ๊กอีกปุ่มหนึ่ง เพื่อเริ่มต้น Firefox ตาม default ที่ตั้งไว้. Firefox ให้ท่านเลือก web page เริ่มต้นดังต่อไปนี้

c. เปิดหน้า web ที่ตั้งเป็น home page: อาจตั้งได้ 1 หน้า หรือหลายหน้าก็ได้ เช่น หากต้องการตั้งเป็น Gmail, BangkokPost.com & Software.Thailand.GooglePages.com. ให้กำหนดดังนี้ Firefox > Tools > Options > Main > Startup > Home Page: (พิมพ์ต่อเนื่องไม่เว้นวรรค และขั้นระหว่าง URL ด้วย “|”: http://www.gmail.com/|http://www.bangkokpost.com |http:// software.thailand.googlepages.com)

Firefox ยังให้ท่านตั้งค่าใน Options เพื่อเลิกกลับมา tab เดิมทุกหน้าจอได้อีกด้วย: Tools > Options > Main > Startup > When Firefox stars: > Shows my window and tabs from last time > OK.

12) Pop-up Blocker: Firefox ป้องกัน pop-ups ที่มักเป็นโฆษณา และแจ้งผู้ใช้ว่ามีการบล็อค ที่ information bar หรือ icon ผู้ใช้เลือกได้ว่าจะชม pop-us ของ web site ใดเป็นการเฉพาะ หรือไม่. Firefox 2 > Tools > Options > Content > (เลือก/ไม่เลือก) Block popup windows > [Exceptions…..: ใส่ชื่อ web site ที่ต้องการชม popup] > Allow.

i. เปิดเครื่องคอมพ์ใหม่ แล้วเปิด IE เพื่อไปยัง web site ต่อไปนี้ Hotmail, Yahoo!, GMail, CNN.com, BBC.com และ Sanook.com โดย log in เข้าใช้งาน Hotmail, Yahoo!, และ GMail และโดยไม่ใช้งานใดต่อ. (ทั้งนี้ จำนวนเมลล์ที่ GMail มีเมลล์ใหม่ทั้งหมด 20 ฉบับ ซึ่งเท่ากับที่เปิดด้วย Firefox ในขั้นตอนข้างล่างนี้)

สรุปการทดสอบแบบเบื้องต้น ส่วนตัวผมว่า ทั้งสอง broswer มีการใช้ทรัพทยากรที่ใกล้เคียงกัน โดย Firefox อาจให้ประโยชน์เรามากกว่าเล็กน้อย ซึ่งตรงข้ามกับที่เกิดในอดีต.
Firefox พัฒนาได้ดีขึ้น.

WASHINGTON - Just over a decade after scientists cloned the first animal, the last major barrier to selling meat and milk from clones has fallen: The U.S. government declared this food safe Tuesday.

Consumer anxiety about cloning is serious enough that several major food companies, including the big dairy producer Dean Foods Co. and Smithfield Foods Inc., say they aren't planning to sell products from cloned animals.

But it will be hard to tell which foods do contain ingredients originating from cloned animals. The Food and Drug Administration ruled that labels won't have to reveal whether the food comes from cloned cows, pigs or goats, or the clones' offspring, because those ingredients are no different than meat or milk from livestock bred the old-fashioned way.

Still, the government asked producers to continue a voluntary moratorium on sales of meat or milk from clones for a little longer, for marketing reasons. The Agriculture Department said it needed a transition period to get the safety findings to foreign trade partners and food companies.

"This is about market acceptance," USDA Undersecretary Bruce Knight said, adding that he expected this period to last months.

The two main U.S. cloning companies, Viagen Inc. and Trans Ova Genetics, already have produced more than 600 cloned animals for U.S. breeders, including copies of prize-winning cows and rodeo bulls. They agreed to USDA's call for a continued moratorium Tuesday, but stressed that it applied only to clones themselves, not those animals' conventionally produced offspring, which can begin selling immediately.

The FDA spent six years tracking the safety of cloning, and its decision was long expected, but it came after an emotional fight by opponents. Congress passed legislation last month urging further study of the issue, a call echoed by consumer advocates who also asked that foods from cloned animals be labeled as such.

Their objections aren't just about food safety but also include animal welfare since many attempts at livestock cloning still end in fatal birth defects.

"If you have moral objections to a particular food, or ethical objections to them, FDA's saying, 'Tough, you've got to eat it,'" said Carol Tucker-Foreman of the Consumer Federation of America, who pledged to push for more food producers to shun clone-derived ingredients.

"The FDA did not give adequate consideration to the welfare of these animals or their surrogate mothers," said Wayne Pacelle of the Humane Society of the United States.

This was a day forecast since Scottish scientists in 1997 introduced the world to Dolly the sheep, the first successfully cloned animal. Ironically, sheep aren't on the list of FDA's approved cloned animals; the agency said there wasn't as much data about their safety as about cows, pigs and goats.

The FDA isn't alone in calling cloned food safe. European regulators last week issued a draft report reaching the same conclusion, and the U.S. National Academy of Sciences has found no cause for concern.

By its very definition, a successfully cloned animal should be no different from the original animal whose DNA was used to create it.

Still, FDA isn't surprised by the outcry since it pored over 30,500 comments from the public — many of them negative — before issuing Tuesday's ruling. A September 2006 poll by the Pew Initiative on Food and Biotechnology found that 64 percent of Americans were uncomfortable with animal cloning. And when FDA convened its own focus groups, it found a third of consumers would never eat food from cloned animals, while another third weren't worried and the rest fell somewhere in the middle.

The public should understand that cloning is just another form of breeding, like the artificial insemination that ranchers widely use, Trans Ova President David Faber said.

"Our farmer and rancher clients are pleased, because it provided them with another reproductive tool," he said, pledging to "be a good steward of the technology."

But cloning technology isn't perfected. Aside from birth defects, Dolly was euthanized in 2003, well short of her normal lifespan, because of a lung disease that raised questions about how cloned animals will age.

The FDA's report acknowledges that, "Currently, it is not possible to draw any conclusions regarding the longevity of livestock clones or possible long-term health consequences" for the animal.

But the agency concluded that cloned animals that are born healthy are no different than their non-cloned counterparts during their prime food-producing years, and go on to reproduce normally as well. Moreover, it is working with a group of international scientists that will issue guidelines later this year on how to clone, to minimize risk to the animals.

I have happy believe in open source (sourceforge.net) and Google.
I found them very useful and tell my friends. I have to repeat giving same information again and again to my friends one after another. Then I thought it is better to put useful information on the web for all for their benefit.
