AVG 2012 includes a couple of solid changes to make you safer. The first is a patent-pending technique for identifying one of the most obnoxious threats to ever reach your computer: the fake antivirus. If you're unfamiliar, these programs purport to be an antivirus, or a Web-based antivirus scan. Once they install on your computer, the only way to get rid of the infection is to "buy" their license. They're also related to the ransomware infections, which don't even bother with the effort to pretend to be an antivirus. AVG 2012 will block both of them

The LinkScanner tool has been improved to watch out for more dynamic code, which is essential in the security game because threats are mutating at such a rapid rate. Meanwhile, premium users get the new AVG Accelerator option, which optimizes your Internet connection to speed up downloads and rendering. It currently works on two sites: YouTube, and you can see its impact when pausing and unpausing videos; and Download.com binary downloads. The accelerator protocol was developed internally at AVG.

AVG now includes a monitoring tool that automatically warns you when Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer consumes too much memory. Called AVG Advisor and in all of the AVG suites, it opens a small pop-up and asks you if you'd like to restart your browser. There's no way to "force" it to activate, although if you open up a couple dozen tabs, wait a few minutes, and then open another dozen or so, it ought to kick in.

Changes made last year are still relevant. The software offers what it calls "smart scanning," which leverages AVG's behavioral detection network to scan known safe files once, and only rescan them if it detects changes. As with its competitors, AVG's network is made up of its user base anonymously contributing data up to the cloud. You can choose to opt out of contributing your data when you install, or from the options menu. AVG says opting out won't negatively affect your security.

The smart scanning tech also gives you a built-in system resource manager that prioritizes scans. If a scan is scheduled to begin while the computer is in use, it will automatically restrict the scan so that it runs slower but doesn't interfere with the computer's other tasks. When it detects the computer idling, it will then allocate more power to the scan. The feature comes with a slider so you can customize how sensitive it is.

The desktop gadget for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users that lets them initiate scans and updates with one click, without having to open the full interface. It also contains links to AVG's Twitter and Facebook pages, which the company uses to bolster its support for the free version.

The PC Analyzer scans your system for Registry and disk errors. It includes a disk defragmenter and a broken-shortcut cleaner, as well. Although the feature is restricted in full to paid users, if you have the free version, the PC Analyzer comes with a one-time offer to clean all errors it finds. It provides a link to download the separate PC Analyzer tool, once the scan is completed. This is an interesting twist on the idea of letting users detect but not repair errors, and it provides more functionality while not affecting the basic security of your computer. However, it's likely that some users will shy away from the extra download.

Other features are restricted to users of AVG's paid upgrades. The paid upgrade version of AVG Anti-Virus 2012 distinguishes itself by offering chat link shield, a download scan for files sent via instant message that looks at all ports, not just port 80, and telephone support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The PC Analyzer option mentioned earlier is also included, and comes without restrictions. New in 2012 to premium users is the new AVG Accelerator option, which optimizes your Internet connection to speed up downloads and rendering. It currently works on two sites: YouTube, and you can see its impact when pausing and unpausing videos; and Download.com binary downloads. The accelerator protocol was developed internally at AVG.

I took the Hirens 14.0 changed some small things on it and added a folder full of usefull programs, to make an all in one flash driver for every computer tech/shop. I use alot of the programs in the Everything folder everyday to repair a large amount of issues at the shop. I take no credit for the restore of Hirens 14 that I got from...
I just made Hirens easy to install to flash drive/DVD then compiled alot of useful programs and anti virus programs for repairing a computer.

All you have to do is copy and paste all the files inside the ISO to a 8GB usb stick, or dual layer DVD, and it should be ready to go with no additional steps.

Convert image into sketch (In Photoshop)

Today we are going to see how to convert your picture to a sketch.

1. Open any image of your choice. Duplicate the image by selecting Layer -> Duplicate layer.

2. With the duplicate layer selected go to Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate.

Again duplicate this desaturated layer. Now go to Image -> Adjustments -> Invert.

Change the blend mode to color dodge. This will make the image white.

3. Now go to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian blur. Change the radius to achieve the sketch effect. I used 4.9pixels. But it will vary on the image you selected. So try which radius range suits your image.

Your CV is not a job description, it is a sales catalogue for your services. The optimum kind of CV is one that offers best set of services to the “recruiters” and offer solutions to the employer’s needs. Thus, job seekers need to keep industry “requirements” upfront when writing their CV.

In this period of competition, every day, the recruitment manager of a company faces a stack of job applications for each advertised post. Usually he will make 3 piles out of the heap of CVs: “yes”, “no”, and “maybe” – he’ll go to the latter pile if the former one fails to deliver an applicant suitable for the job. So your first mission is to make sure that your job application secures a position on the top of the “yes” interview-pile. You can get the necessary and astounding results by composing a well written CV. This is your introduction and chief communication with the employer. It is your CV which decides whether you are going to be deemed fit for the job or not.
Below are a few Do’s and Don’ts which should be rigorously kept under consideration while composing a professional CV.

Comprehensive CV:

Take two to three days to compose your CV. The biggest mistake most candidates make is to throw away a great chance by rushing to an average one. Do not put your photograph on your CV. You want the employer to consider you on the basis of your skill-set in spite of your physical appearance, as a start.

Don’t use flowery fonts and writing style:

Refrain from using flowery language, fancy fonts and bright colored paper. Your CV should look mature and professional. Let the content do the talking. Do not use the word “I” repeatedly.

Don’t be humorous:

Create a professional email address, preferably with your own name e.g. “omar.khan@hotmail.com”. Don’t use a humorous or inappropriate email address such as “lover_boy@hotmail.com”. This may make a recruiter smile but won’t fetch you an interview.

Don’t use slangs & abbreviations:

It is advised not to use slangs or abbreviations in your CV. This creates a careless impact on the recruiter. Remember that your CV may be read by the HR manager who will be in need of seriously dedicated employees in his team. So, to make a good first impression through your CV, compose it very carefully.

Don’t include irrelevant facts in your CV which have no connection with your career achievements. A potential employer will not be interested in how many children and grandchildren you have. He, on the other hand, is looking for a candidate who is trained, qualified and skilled in his area of expertise.

Don’t lie:

Do explain the time gaps in your CV when inquired. If you have spent 2 months looking for a new job, this is fine, inform the employer about it. If you have taken a career break or gone traveling – say so! Do not try to hide or fabricate it with lies. The HR people are professionals and are experts in getting the truth out of you.

Don’t be Repetitive:

Avoid repetition while writing your CV even if it is in the form of bullets, as it will use up the important space which can encompass your other achievements. Also when written once, repeating the same text will not give a good impression on your CV.

Don’t post/fax CV:

Post or fax CV’s only when absolutely necessary or if you are asked to do this. Email is now the accepted standard everywhere. So you better get attuned to the current standards of the professional world.

Do not exaggerate your experience:

Exaggerating your experience will cause you problems later on. Interviews are designed to weed out fibbers. So be practical and careful while writing a CV.

Are you truly happy? Do you even know what it means to be happy and what it takes to achieve happiness? These are important questions for anyone who is seeking happiness to ask themselves. I live my life to maintain my own happiness while trying my best to not cause unhappiness to anyone else. If you want to be happy you need to understand that you can be happy and that you should be happy. Many people make the mistake of believing that they don’t deserve happiness and accept their unhappy state as their destiny. The truth of the matter is that happiness, like anything else in life, needs to be nurtured. The following are a few tips that I follow to create happiness in my life.

1. Understand what it is that will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your individuality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.

2. Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely increase as your pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.

3. Surround yourself with happy people. It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Conversely, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be infectious.

4. When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self pity. Truly happy people don’t allow set backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor.

5. Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.

6. It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously putting yourself in a better mood.

7. Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. While there are times that require you to be serious, when it is appropriate, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.

8. Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.

9. Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.

Happiness is hard to define but most people are aware of whether they are happy or not. Many people believe that happiness is a form of luck and that some people are destined to be happy while others are destined to be unhappy. I try to incorporate the tips above into my life and have had great success in achieving happiness. The tips in this article are small but meaningful steps that you can take each day to lead you to true happiness.
