Tate's new favorite song is God Is So Good. :) For several days (and I mean the majority of the ENTIRE day) was spent sitting at the piano and 'practicing' his new song. :) I never showed him anything on the piano...this is all his own doing. This is Tate during a visit with his Great Grandpa during our holidays about a month ago...Tate and Emily are his only great grandkids so I think they're pretty special to him...and, Great Grandpa is pretty special to Tate too (Emily doesn't remember him yet...or maybe she does, but she can't talk enough to say so!).

We didn't do anything for Halloween this year. We don't believe that Halloween is "evil" but I also just don't see the point in spending money on candy (which I don't want my kids to eat anyways), costumes, etc. So we just spent it like we would any normal day...and it was a good day. :) Oh, there are some parts of halloween though that I really don't like...such as all the scary halloween

She cracks me UP! Emily has finally figured out (after all the millions of pictures I've taken of her! haha) that she is supposed to smile when the camera comes out. And smile she does. BIG smiles. This week has been SO cold here (no snow yet though...thankfully!!) that it actually motivated me to go through all our winter stuff and get out winter clothes for everyone for this year...and wash and put away our summer jackets. :( Tate and Emily loved it...but the big question is...will they still be big fans of snowsuits, gloves, boots, toques and parkas when we have to wear them every day???

Let's just say that according to Tate and Emily there's not much that beats a morning of digging potatos in the garden! haha :) Emily was the "put the potatos in the pail" girl...Tate was the "dig the potatos out of the ground" guy (though, even with all his digging, I don't think he actually ever found a potato ;) ). So, Emily's still not a fan of walking. :) She can do it really well actually...sometimes she can even walk around stuff (or around big brothers) to get to where she's going. BUT she won't walk by herself...as in, she won't walk when I'm not in the room, sitting on the floor waiting for her to walk to me. But that's ok. I have no problems whatsoever with the fact that she's not walking yet.
