I agree that somewhere inside, every1 is a racist. However, I would still prefer that we keep mum on such issues especially in public!

Read through the TIME article of Stein, and found it dumb and pathetic. What I didn't understand though, is such a personal opinion would look alright (to be ignored or cursed) on his personal blog or discussion board... but TIME giving a platform and spreading/encouraging his voice being heard? Sinful ! Idiotic! What were they thinking?

Being working with a weirdly diverse international team, my conclusion is that you had the pleasure of meeting one of', those white/black trash rednecks. In our team if Miran the German say's you Indians are lazy, we say hey asshole you get what you pay for try getting the same thing done in Mexico,"they all say Manana and keep a knife" and we like to add how did a negro end up in Germany......aren't all blacks in Africa....... all we do is laugh our ass off....coz the guy saying that is black....being a racist is such a waste of time......after all it's such a pointless discussion.............Being well versed in history i know the company that made ovens to kill jews still exists and the americans killed the Indigenous and they still keep reservation for them coz they feel guilty. As far as i know you, you should surround yourself with intelligent people not the trash that clogs the economy.

Just imagine visual and written media without all these titillating stuff, would you opt for a package of all channels with cable operator or buy a couple of dailies and a few magazines of yellowish hue? As they say,viewers/readers want them and and are given what they wish like film producers do.It is a time pass for the common folks but a real head ache for the affected celebrities.

You work hard for tackling your current responsibilit(ies); only that the bigger responsibilities are yet to arrive.

But, in our little free amount of time, I think, we should try to forget all our responsibilities and act like a 10 year old!

20 year hence, and would we still:
- Plan on the 11th hour to hit a vacation?
- Watch an artistic play? Or Divert from the Holly/Bollywood movies? Just loved Harishchandrachi factory!
- Hunt and try all the local food places, one by one?
- Plan a road trip to some unknown village and interact with people?

Maturity with age would be to earn enough to handle responsibility of great nature, while still being able to enjoy, as a 10 year old! That would be splendid, eh?

I know you wanna delegate the responsibilities and procrastinate essential tasks but then the biological clock is ticking away. I doubt the gynecs and cosmetologists can come to the rescue when its already tooo late...

I do believe in all the inner beauty stuff and all. But sometimes isn't it fun to be completely vain and fuss about your nose, that one-odd white hair, or the awful pimple.

Oh come on, let's not turn this into a girls vs boys war :-). Actually come to think of it, both are equally bad when it comes to looks. There will be people who will give importance to looks more than brains/attitude/etc etc.

To answer your question, have been too busy at work. And since the writing bug usually strikes me in office, because of the workload, I have not been able to write much in the past few months.

Exactly, what is acceptable and what's not? Botox or plastic surgery may have been frowned upon earlier, but now there is nothing wrong in wanting to look good.

Inner urge to be loved,recognized etc is fine, but what if that pushes one to extreme measures like anorexia/bulimia? It's hard to reign in oneself when you begin to lose control.

Well thanks for urging me to write. Hopefully once things sort out and I am settled, I will be able to write more.

You know that's the best way to write, to write for oneself. I started out that way when I thought I wanted to write only for myself. Even now I still do write for mostly, but it feels nice to have people drop by and comment.

I loved this post Sheba:) You know I believe one should feel beautiful from within, the world around is made to judge, and their judgement may sometimes be in our favour or sometimes against us, whats important is that we do not let anyones views affect us so much that we try to change ourselves.We are who we are, if someone doesnt agree with us, well its there problem and if someone loves us, we should feel blessed..coz we deserve it and would make the other feel equally deserving:)
You know once someone asked my aunt,is your daughter fair or very fair, she smiled a bit and said so fair that her beauty would be invisible to you...only the deserving would know her value:)
