First 2 days were negative

Last Wednesday, my son fall sick as having cough and fever but the 1st and 2nd day of test turned out negative. Then Friday is the day he needs to go school but he decided not to go as he feel he's not well, niece given him a different brand of covid 19 test and it turned out to be positive. He also informed his school group to say that he's positive.

The Friday everyone tested negative except for niece who is positive and she hurry back to hometown to his bro new home for quarantine. At first she said though morning was positive but later another result from pcr test turned out negative. Lucky she has gone for two different pcr test and another result coming out on next day. To be safe she remain quarantine at new home so she doesn't spread to other family members.

Saturday morning, my sis in law tested positive the Friday night she didn't have sleep same room with us. My eldest son quarantine in my room while hub and I moved to sis in law room where youngest also sleep there. Sis in law slept in nephew room as Friday night he has left to back hometown to his parent's house. Then hub told me that niece result is indeed positive after all.

My advice is don't just purchase a brand test kit but also try other brands too. We didn't know that the brand results can be faulty as it been negative all these time and suddenly when eldest son switch different brand used its positive. Is it really the test kit not working? Read on to find out....

We have been using the new test kit daily and youngest son has been getting negative results. On 1st August Monday, he didn't go to school as he has fever since Sunday but its only a while but then Monday morning the fever is back. So we decided to keep him at home, Monday it is a his result turn out Positive. Then I give him the usual brand that we used to test which often turn out negative, and indeed this brand is negative though another brand used is positive. We got confused which is true, I make an appointment to see doctor and bring son along and doc explained that doesn't matter which brand if the result is 2 lines that is accurate! No need do any PCR since we know the result already. I have informed his class teacher too.

I started having sudden like fever and bodyache on Monday early morning. It didn't last for long its like just in the morning, my test result is negative. Tuesday continue having a fever only in the morning so I took 2 panadol. At night I started having cough, next day which is yesterday I have to test again just to be safe and it turned out Positive! I also started having flu and there is no more fever but cough starts. I have a bit headache too, its like off and on headache. I have sore throat on Monday and Tuesday only.

Seem its like my sis in law she is positive but never have fever but just cough and flu. While my youngest son is experiencing cough, sore throat.

So what you see in common here is that my eldest son and me same only 3rd day shows of Positive. So it's really hard to say whether is it the test kit not working? I didn't use the 1st brand to test.... though still left a few boxes.

Ear infection caused of taking too much sugar

No kidding it's important to take everything not too much, over take can have a risky lifestyle and bad for health too. Ear infection can be caused by eating too much sweet and so there will be fungus grow in ear. Also if the inner ear is wet it's also easy to grow fungus.

My son right's ear has got ringing sound and he says that there is pain too. First I take him to GP and given was antibiotics and ear drop bottle as GP saw there's 'nanah' in his ear. Then it didn't heal and GP saw there's red in his ear and best to see ENT. Was told 2nd visit will need to wash his ear if no heal, but then GP said best to visit ENT.

First ENT visit before going they would tell you that it cost RM200 for consultation and other fee of medicine will need to topple. Indeed the vaccum of right ear and also applying the anti-fungal cream in ear, also given ear plug and painkiller. The total amount is RM290. Got to go back after 3 days for cleaning the ear. Was ask whether he likes to take sweet. Avoid getting the inner ear wet, so he needs use the ear plug every time for shower.

ENT 2nd visit cost RM120 for the vaccum and was told it's totally fine already. No need eat any medicine or put any medicine but best to come after 6 months to checkup. Again ENT saying does he likes to take sweet? Cut down on sugar!!

Money gone in teleco

It's sad to know that my 2nd sister had been scam and she didn't even know how it happened. She uses hotlink and she is far away from here as in another state, she didn't want to go report it to Maxis center. She said her RM600 gone as keep getting called and sms. Maybe she had answered or have replied them, she didn't ask sibling about this matter at all. So none of us knows about it, this was 1st incident.

2nd incident is that she had to change her telephone service and from hotlink she change to digi. I don't know if this gonna help. She said her balance about RM400 in prepaid hotlink gone. Who else is using her telephone? She has no mention of it at all, how it happened she said hacker. No idea anyway, just find that she didn't want to go Maxis center again even told her to ask her colleague to bring her she refused.

So now she said she is using Digi package RM35 monthly to pay.

Online tuition for my sons

Busy time for us, yeah though is school holidays but the tuition online still on going. So I need to keep track of their study time and also make sure they have also do corrections on their papers.

Price also goes up for tuition, so many cases of Covid 19 so we prefer children to stay home at the moment. But back to school soon on 21 March, where kids going higher level.

How time fly and I didn't go anymore events though sometimes I received invitation.

However, the benefits of having a pet go much deeper – more than many pet owners may realise.

Snuggling up with a furry friend actually brings about heaps of physical and mental health benefits. And recently, various studies have begun to scientifically explore the physiological benefits of the human-animal bond. In fact, many organisations have even dedicated themselves to this quest.

Direct and indirect physiological benefits

For instance, a surveyi by the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) showed that 74% of pet owners reported mental health improvements from pet ownership. This is because pets – dogs and cats especially – have the profound ability to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while easing loneliness and encouraging exercise and playfulness. The benefits extend to people of all ages. Being around a pet can help children grow up more secure and active, while just about anyone can benefit from the heart-warming companionship that pets provide. Most importantly, however, a pet can add real joy and unconditional love to anyone’s life, regardless of age.

Besides all these more apparent benefits, owning a pet boosts our physical and mental health in so many other ways. Having a pet, for instance, can increase physical exercise (taking a dog for a walk, or playing with a cat, for instance). Pets can also add structure and routine to their owners’ day, as many require regular feeding and care. But most of all, any pet owner will agree that pets – just by their very nature – have that certain je ne sais quoi about them, with the innate ability to melt hearts or turn a bad day into a great one, all with one loving gaze or a warm cuddle. It is no surprise then that many pet owners consider their pets members of their own family!

Interestingly enough, the HABRI survey also found that 80% of pet owners who were aware of the health benefits of pet ownership reported spending most of the day, or a big part of it, with their pets. This suggests a direct correlation with the amount of time spent with our pets, to the marked improvement of our physical and mental health.

Boustead Properties Berhad (Boustead Properties), together with Klinik Segara reached out to the deserving volunteers at the Multimedia University (MMU) Cyberjaya's Integrated Mega Vaccine Delivery Centre (PPV) through its #BousteadCares initiative by providing 1,800 dinner boxes over 30 days.

The initiative which began on 23 August 2021 was aimed to assist and support the volunteers who have been helping out at the PPV, enduring prolonged hours in ensuring the process and operation there ran smoothly.

Boustead Properties Chief Operating Officer Eason Phan said, "During this unprecedented situation, we remain committed to supporting the noble efforts by volunteers at the vaccination centre whose selfless deed is for the greater good of the country.

“Having to deal with thousands of people from all walks of life throughout the day can take a toll. So we want them to know that their sacrifices are not in vain, and this contribution of hearty and nutritious meals prepared by our subsidiary, Royale Chulan Hotels & Resorts, is our way of demonstrating our appreciation to the volunteers whose efforts are invaluable,” he said.

Close to 1,500 vaccine doses are being administered at the MMU PPV daily since it started operations on 15 July 2021. The volunteers comprise medical frontliners and university students who were eager to help their communities regain a sense of normal life that many expected once the country achieves herd immunity.

Yeah just stay at home this Chinese New Year, so we haven't go back to hometown or even my parent's place. So what I do at home is making diy drinks. I missing to go tourism in Malaysia too. I like going to Melaka as Jonker Street has many nice food to eat.

I have attended a wedding dinner nearby before it was last year. We booked a hotel nearby jonker street and walked to the dinner wedding venue.

As we know gula Melaka usually in the shape of cube and we need to boil it. Now we can just use this gula Melaka syrup as it's easily use and can directly make drinks or event ice kacang. I have made 3 layered tea milk tea gula Melaka.

Blood Donation Drive at ADMC to Support National Blood Bank

Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) will be holding a blood donation drive to appeal to the public to donate blood in support of the National Blood Bank which needs to replenish its blood supply. The Covid-19 outbreak followed by the various phases of the movement control order had caused a significant drop in the number of blood donors in recent months.

Donors can head over to the hospital lobby on 14 July 2020 between 9.00am and 3.00pm. ADMC urges the community to participate to help those in need of blood during these unprecedented times. Each unit of blood donated can save three lives.

To be eligible for blood donation, donors must have had at least eight hours sleep the night before, weigh more than 45kg, be in good health and not be on medication.

ADMC will take all necessary measures to uphold the highest safety standards during this blood donation drive at its premises. Donors are required to wear masks and go through general Covid-19 screening at the hospital entrance. Though my dear told me his Boss might cut salary as he is not working. I am sure it's not only him in the company.

Not working mean no salary but then we need to stay home because of the Covid 19, life is more important now. Money we can earn but we cannot get life back if we lost it.

It's Saturday today and Sean is in the room having his online tuition, it's better he stayed in room for the tuition online as in living room it would be noisy for him and he get distracted too.

Then he went to SS14 Subang Jaya to takeaway food but also kampung eggs he bought it there.

In celebration of Chinese New Year and in the spirit of giving and togetherness, eCurve recently treated senior citizens from Persatuan Rumah Amal Murni to experience eCurve’s colourful and lively Blossoms of Spring campaign.

Upon arriving, the guests entered the Centre Atrium, which was beautifully transformed into a Chinese garden adorned with brightly lit red Chinese lanterns, intricately designed stone lions and a lavishly decorated Pagoda. Before taking their seats, the guests of honour took a short stroll through the garden, admiring the quaint scenery.

Then came the highlight of the day, the specially choreographed live musical, Spring Sensation Dance Performance. The dancers took to the stage gracefully as they performed to traditional and contemporary Chinese tunes, dressed in eye-catching, glittering costumes and matching floral fans. In keeping with the Chinese New Year festivities, the audience were then amazed by the daring stunts performed by the acrobatic lion dance troupe. As a customary practice towards the end, the senior citizens were also presented with mandarin oranges with symbolised good fortune for the new year.

New Year Countdown party. MDCC

Thousands of excited audience have their face lit up as they spend their final moments of 2019 at MDCC's annual New Year Countdown party.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation for the new decade at Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre’s (MDCC) annual New Year Countdown party. MDCC which comprises three malls – the Curve, eCurve and IPC Shopping Centre, hosted A NYE 2020 Countdown, a spectacular, music-filled celebration with revellers from all walks of life.

Thousands of party-goers thronged their way to Mutiara Damansara hours before the countdown to await the star-studded line-up of local musical acts, which included Manbai, Geraldine Gan and Syafeek Ikhwan. Phat Fabes, who was the emcee for the night, entertained the audience with his signature gusto and flair.

Opening the concert was local band The Colours, followed by Anak Seni Warisan who performed feel good and upbeat tunes to get the crowd on their feet.

The second half of the night saw fans of singer and Champion of i-Sing World 2018, Syafeek Ikhwan sing and dance along to songs including his latest single Suratan Ketentuan and others such as Jampi, You’re the Reason, Ragaman along with various other 90s medleys. The audience was full of energy by the time the next performers got up on stage. Asia’s Got Talent season three finalists, NAMA, blew the crowd away with their show-stopping performance!

With her charming façade, singer, actress, and former champion of Astro Star Quest, Geraldine Gan then wooed the crowd as she performed her hit single, One Step Along.

As the clock counted down to the final minutes of the year, popular rock singer of yesteryears, Man Bai, closed off a spectacular night with his soulful tunes. His powerful performance had the audience singing along to every lyric, including his iconic 1995 hit song, Kau Ilhamku.

The sky lit up with an illuminating display of fireworks, the longest and largest in Mutiara Damansara.

At the end of the concert, the audience eagerly awaited the dazzling fireworks display. When the clock struck midnight, the MDCC skies lit up with vivid colours and everyone cheered for 2020, marking the start of the brand-new decade. All those present were thrilled by the dazzling display of fireworks, which was indeed a mesmerising sight. Friends, family and loved ones also took this time to exchange well wishes.

KPJ Healthcare Ampang Puteri and Antabax Join Forces to Raise Awareness of Hand Hygiene

According to the World Health Organization (WHO)1, infection prevention and control is needed to achieve health. Worldwide, 30,000 women and 400,000 babies die2 every year from infections, often caused by lack of water, sanitation and poor hand washing practices.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 80 percent of infectious disease is spread by touch. Young children need to be educated on hygiene to reduce their risk of spreading and contracting communicable diseases from coughs and colds , Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease and influenza among others.

TOP Back To School Returns In Its 5th Year To Brighten The Lives Of Orang Asli Children
