Yesterday.. Pakistani commando troops crossed LOC (again) n ambushed an Indian patrol n killed 2 of our soldiers (http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report_return-of-the-barbarians-pak-troops-brutally-kill-2-indian-jawans_1787084). One body was found in a very severe state.
Two brothers of ours, Lance Naik Hemraj & Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh, gave their lives in line of duty. (Respect)

They gave their lives for u.. ur sound sleep...
bt its time to wake up now...
wake up leaders.. wake up government...
wake up India.. please dont be a SOFT STATE anymore..
do something now..
if we cant make a path of our own.. then atleast we can atleast follow those which are made by others n befits our requirements n conditions...
n a similar sort of path is laid in front of us.. there is one nation we need to follow.. ISRAEL...
our situations are mostly lyk Israel...
Israel is surrounded by enemies from all directions .. just like us...
(to make things worse for us.. our enemies are far more strong than of Israel's)
Israel the only nation of jews on earth.. similarly we are the only nation (nepal is also there, but i m counting it as one with india) of hindus ...
we accept it or not.. its a fact .. if christians in nigeria are hurt or any weak christian state suffers becoz of anything.. there is a whole diaspora (european and american nations) which will raise their voice for them..
same way more than 50 (58 to be precise) muslim nations speak when some muslim nation (palestine, iran, iraq, afghanistan, syria, pakistan) is being bullied by some non-muslim country or alliance (Israel, Russia, US, NATO)...
but who speaks for us at international platforms...?? no one..
we need to understand this harsh reality that just lyk Israel..we dont have any brother/sister state.. we are all alone in our grief..
Israel understood it.. and started working on it..
    -> they made themselves the part of a US led mighty military alliance - NATO..
    -> they keep strengthening their defence systems.. n maintaine a status of superiority over its enemies
    -> they always keep their vigilance levels up.. thanks to agencies lyk Mossad..
    -> they have taught their enemy nations a lesson whenver they try to jump the line.. whether it was Entebbe (1976), Munich (1974), anywhere..anytime..
(for more you may read 'The Rise of Israel: A History of a Revolutionary State' by Jonathan Adelman.. nyc book .. i just went thru a few portions of it..)

-> we kept ourself non-aligned..
-> we stood casual about our defence systems.. adding to it.. we are cutting our defence budgets too.. -> our leadership acted lyk sheeps in situations like kashmir infiltration (1948), tibet attack (1961), kandhar (1999) n many more instances lyk that..
thats why... today we are being mutilated lyk weeds..
we have become a soft target..
situation needs to be changed...
we need an able n vocal leadership...
yes.. it sounds political.. but thats the only feasible solution now..

BHARAT - A Dream

If some morons think that 'Bharat' is rural region of our country and 'India' is urban .. they are wrong..

If they think that 'Bharat' is that demographic territory of our country where Hindi or other native languages are spoken.. & 'India' is where English is the mother/father/job tongue; they are wrong again..

'Bharat' as a word, is quite symbolic in nature.

BHARAT is more like a dream of an ideal state, where human values are honoured. Bharat is where a human loves every other being (human or non-human). Bharat is where we have journalists like Nalini Singh, Tarun Tejpal, Arun Shourie. Bharat is where we will have leaders like Bapu, Jai Prakash Narayan, Lal Bahadur Shastri & Anna Hazare.

Its a bit tough to explain in words, but once u get it, you can easily feel the emotions behind the idea of ‘BHARAT’. Let me put it thru two minor incidents of my life.

One happened to me last year, on Diwali when I was coming back from Delhi to my place in Haryana by bus. After boarding the bus I got a comfortable seat and I slept for an hour. When I woke up I saw a few passengers were standing in the aisle, and one of them was an old lady. I stood up n gave that granny my seat, but was stunned that till then no-one gave her a seat, while most of the passengers were youngsters. During my childhood I hardly came across these kind of incidents, but now-a-days its very common. I used to feel proud that may be we haryanvis are considered as impolite because of our rock hard words and agrarian behavior, but by our acts and our values we used to be quite helpful and soft by heart. But that pride is no-more today. We have lost it. And the worst part is that this ‘DEHUMANISATION’ is not only happening in Haryana, its everywhere. We have become more practical and professional. If we are going to our office and some one needs our help, then our professional principles overpower the ‘human’ in us. We don’t want to be late for office just for helping some stranger.
I still remember another incident which happened to me when I was quite young (jab main bachpan mein bahut chhota tha). I was in 4th standard and me n my maa were coming from Chandigarh to our maternal village. Bus got stuck in a jam on the way, which resulted in delay of 3-4 hours. So we reached this point where we had to leave the bus and catch an auto to cover rest of the distance. But, because of delay there were no autos at that junction and our place was still around 8-9 kms away from that particular point. It was 10 pm or smthing. Few young lads were passing by, and they stopped after seeing us. One of them came n asked ‘Jiji, it kis tarah khadi sai, itni vaari’ (Sister, why are you standing here at such a time). After knowing our issue, one of the guy went to his home & came back with his bike and then dropped us to our place. He didn’t know who we were, but he helped us because my maa was a sister to him; as it was considered that ways in those times. These are the values & feelings which have gone missing these days in our society.

And the very idea of ‘BHARAT’ embodies those ethos.

‘Bharat’ believes in ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ where this whole world is a home, and every fellow human is a family member. ‘Bharat’ is where we don’t talk about ‘survival of fittest’, we talk about safeguarding weak ‘nirbal ko raksha do, reh paye nirbal sukh se’.
‘Bharat’ preaches us to respect every object, living or non-living. ‘Bharat’ instils the values in us where we understand the need to protect and respect trees and animals, not to eat or consume them just for the sake of our taste (comfort).
If we respect our heritage we wont let any granny or a helpless woman to suffer, we wont just pass by any human in need. If we start feeling for another beings , we will become a true ‘BHARTIYA’.
And in a pure and ideal ‘BHARAT’ there won’t be a CULPRIT/CRIMINAL, so by default there wont be any Victim too.
That dream is BHARAT. My BHARAT. Our BHARAT

i think i m gonna play mr. preacher today.. so pyaare bhaktjano.. JUST remember these commandments always.. ..

Why this Blackout after Radiagate??

"Radiagate" no doubt raises suspicion over the modus operandi of Indian journalist sorority. Accused journalists have cleared their throats by denying these accusations and still there are people demanding actions against them. May be these journalists are guilty or not, but the thing which is troubling me most (and everyone is overlooking it) is an organized effort by all major media houses of avoiding this news. There are very few channels which have aired it yet, there are very few newspapers and magazines which have covered it yet. While news networks abroad have reported this "so called" scam better than Indian networks.

Duty of media is to act as a MEDIUM (that's why we call them MEDIA) for UNFILTERED flow of information from ground zero to the masses. So that the PEOPLE (the key component of a democracy) empowered by awareness resulted after this information flow, can hire their loyal, honest and able SERVANTS (Government) in each election and can live their lives smoothly. That's how a democracy and lives works. Media can't place any filters in between, ethically. Media should not judge which news will be good or which will be bad. Unfortunately ,but as expected, that's what media is doing right now, and this forces me to think that may be media has been doing this all the time.

May be the situation in N. East, Naxalite Belt, Kashmir is worse than we know. May be "Saffron Terrorism" and “India Shining” were just smartly choreographed features enacted by a ruling political party and Media to give that party an edge in those elections. May be this and may be that. There are N number of things which come to my mind.

My question is just this.

"If nothing is wrong, then why this BLACK-OUT??"

P.S. People trust MEDIA. But, I think that trust is fighting its last breathes.

The life was going on as usual. Some times stroke of nostalgia used to hit us..making us revisit the nights and days which were witness of our fultoo dhamaal and some strongly engraved incidents.

then one day we finalised to physically revisit the past and we dozen of friends started a voyage to the lands of Gadhwal.. and on the route we coincidentally visited one idiot's accidental marriage.

This album is all about the shuttering on and off of eyelids we had during this voyage.

{27^th May, 2009} Yesterday night, I was just surfing net, then I came across a link “Shiv Kumar Batalvi.

I really liked and further read about Batalvi. His creations are awesome. I am putting some links and some text from web here.

Shiv Kumar 'Batalvi' (1936 –1973) was a noted Punjabi language poet, who was most known for his romantic poetry, noted for its heightened passion, pathos, separation and lover's agony ^.
He became the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967, for his epic verse play based on the ancient legend of Puran Bhagat, Loona (1965), now considered a masterpiece in modern Punjabi literature, and which also created a new genre, of modern Punjabi kissa. Today, his poetry stands in equal footing, amongst that by stalwarts of modern Punjabi poetry, like Mohan Singh and Amrita Pritam, all of whom are popular on both sides of India-Pakistan border.

Biography

Shiv Kumar was born on July 23, 1936, village Bara Pind Lohtian, Shakargarh Tehsil (Now in Punjab province, Pakistan) to Pandit Krishan Gopal, village tehsildar in the in the revenue department, and Savita Devi, a housewife. His family moved to Batala, Gurdaspur district after partition of India, father continued his work as a patwari and young Shiv received his primary education.

He completed his matriculation in 1953, from PU, and enrolled in the F.Sc. program at Baring Union Christian College, Batala, though before completing his degree he moved to S.N. College, Qadian, where he joined the Arts program more suited to his persona, though he left that too in the second year. Thereafter he joined a school at Baijnath, Himachal Pradesh to do a diploma in Civil Engineering, here again he left it in the middle. Next he studied for sometime at Govt. Ripudaman College, Nabha. He remained unlucky in love, and bereavement for love loss reflected intensely in his poetry.

His first anthology of poems was published in 1960, titled Piran da Paraga (The Scarf of Sorrows), which became an instant success. In 1965, he became the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967, for his magnum opus, a verse play, Loona (1965). His poetry recitations, and singing his own verse, made him and his work even more popular amongst the masses.

In early 1967, he got married, and in 1968, he shifted to Chandigarh, where he joined the State Bank of India, as a PRO. In the following years, bad health plagued him, though he continued to write prolifically. His writings has always been open about his pronounced death wish, and on May 7, 1973, he died at his residence of father-in-law, at Kir Mangyal, Pathankot, all of 36 years.

First of all thanx for visiting this blog.

This blog is just a collection of some thoughts of mine, with the help of some texts and visuals.

I believe every person has something to "SAY" on almost every topic/issue which exist on this earth. Unfortunately, every person doesnt have too many gud listeners around them.

I also possess this very common attribute of Indian most celebrated "Chit-Chat Class". I got gud ears to my thoughts but still that wasnt enough for me... when I couldn't satisfy myself with those number of ears.. I decided to add some eyes to my thoughts...

and this is the first step to attract those eyes..
