Negative feelings like anger, guilt, and depression vibrate at low frequencies, while positive feelings like joy, appreciation, and passion vibrate at high frequencies. These high frequency vibrations make us feel good. This is why people and places that inspire and cultivate positive feelings have what we call good vibrations.

Good vibrations inspire health, happiness, and optimism. When we are tuned in to good vibrations, our bodies heal, our hearts open, and our minds shift toward the light. We see new possibilities and feel powerfully energized to follow our inner visions. At the same time, we feel relaxed and capable of manifesting these visions without giving in to stress or struggle. Good vibrations put us in a state of perfect receptivity so that we feel it is the energy flowing through us that accomplishes what needs to be done. We feel guided, supported, protected, and nourished within this joyful flow.

We sometimes forget that we are allowed to feel this way all the time. Lower frequency vibrations are not bad in a moral sense, but they are bad in the sense that they simply don’t feel good. Still, they have a purpose, which is to alert us to the fact that we are blocking out the higher frequency vibrations that we need to function well. They are a call for healing ourselves from within.

The key to our healing lies in remembering that it is our birthright to feel good and that feeling good is the essence of our true nature. When we are receiving and sending out good vibrations, we are in the flow. When we are not, we can begin to raise our vibration by seeking out people, places, and situations that vibrate at a higher frequency. Whether we need to go on retreat or just call a friend who makes us laugh, seeking out those good vibrations and basking in them is a sacred and loving practice that returns us, time and again, to the joyful flow of the universe.

Daily Om
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Appreciating Suggestions

As children, our parents had dreams for us. They wanted us to do well in school, and to do whatever was necessary to reach our highest potential. Later in life, friends may try to set us up with their idea of the perfect partner or the perfect job. Spouses may have agendas for us, too.

People close to us may have ideas about how we should live our lives, ideas that usually come from love and the desire for us to be happy. Other times, they come from a place of need within them—whether it is the parent who wants us to live out his or her dreams or the friend or spouse who wants us to play an already-defined role.

Whatever the case, we can appreciate and consider those people’s input, but ultimately we must follow our own inner guidance. There may come a time when all the suggestions can become overbearing. We may feel that the people we love don’t approve of our judgment, which can hurt our feelings.

It can interfere with the choices we make for our lives by making us doubt ourselves, or filling a void with their wishes before we’ve had a chance to decide what we want. It can affect us energetically as well.

We may have to deal with feelings of resistance or the need to shut ourselves off from them. But we can take some time to rid ourselves of any unnecessary doubts and go within to become clear on what we desire for ourselves.

We can tell our loved ones how much we appreciate their thoughts and ideas, but that we need to live our own lives and make our own decisions. We can explain that they need to let us learn from our own experiences rather than rob us of wonderful life lessons and the opportunity to fine-tune our own judgment.

When they see that we are happy with our lives and the path we are taking to reach our goals, they can rest assured that all we need them to do is to share in our joy
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Create an Opening

By clearing out stagnant situations that no longer contribute positively to our lives, we create an opening for better circumstances to enter.

We often try to attract better circumstances into our lives because we feel dissatisfied, but we forget the importance of clearing out old, stagnant situations first.

When we consciously release unhealthy relationships, unfulfilling jobs, destructive habits, or limiting beliefs that prevent us from feeling happy about our lives, we create a feeling of freedom and lightness that also gives us the clarity to better know what we really want.

At the same time, we create an opening for the universe to form better circumstances, and we are emotionally ready to accept them when they arrive.

If you make an effort to clear away the old in all aspects of your life today, you will be making room for new and exciting circumstances to enter

Namaste everyone!
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Share Some..

By sharing our feelings with loved ones, we create a deeper sense of intimacy in our relationships.

It can be intimidating to open our hearts and share our feelings with those we care about, especially if we are afraid to be vulnerable or of getting hurt.

If we can remember that our loved ones probably feel the same way that we do, we can realize that we have nothing to fear.

We all know someone who keeps plastic covers on his or her couch in order to protect it. The irony is that many of these people may live their lives without ever having actually made contact with their own furniture! This is a poignant and somewhat humorous example of the human tendency to try to save things for special occasions, as if everyday life weren’t special enough to warrant the use of nice things. Many of us have had the experience of never wearing a particular piece of clothing in order to keep it nice, only to have it go out of style in the meanwhile. It’s interesting to think of what it would mean to us if we let ourselves wear our nicest clothes and eat off the good china on a daily basis. We might be sending ourselves the message that every day we are alive is a special day and a cause for celebration, and that we are worth it. There is something uplifting about treating ourselves to the finest of what we have. It is as if we rise to the occasion when we wear our best clothes and set the table beautifully, as if for a very special guest. We are more mindful of where we place things, what we are eating, and who is with us. Using the good china, eating in the dining room, and taking the plastic off the sofa might be an invitation to be more conscious of the beauty and grace inherent in our everyday lives. If there are things you’ve stashed away for a special occasion—a bottle of special wine, a gorgeous pair of shoes, an antique lace tablecloth—consider taking them out of their hiding places and putting them to use tonight, just because you are alive now to enjoy them, and that’s a great cause for a celebration.

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Juicy Item by Bohemian Soul!

Brooklyn stylist Deitra of Bohemian Soul, specializes in one of a kind Clothing and accessories, with a funky retro edge. Many people have heard the term "core training" and perhaps even teach this to their clients and students. The core muscles are the muscles that act upon the hip joint. This includes all of the abdominal muscles, lower back and spinal muscles, quads, glutes and hamstrings. In order to have precise control over the rhythmic movement of your hips you must be able to control all of the muscles that interact with and help stabilize the hip joint.....What is not included in any "core" training program I have come across is the strengthening of the muscles that strengthen and control our sexual organs, urogenital and pelvic diaphragms. Athletes whotrain with heavy weight and Olympic lifts often work those muscles in order to stabilize their spine and maintain their technique. However, this training is minimal and does not include focused training in whichone learns to really control that area. The more one mentally focuses on a physical movement while doing it, the more nerves the central nervous system provide to innervate those muscles. The more nerves that innervate a muscle the greater the control one has over that muscle. Thus, we need to constantly be focused on our physical movements during our training process. The root chakra is located in and around the sexual organs. It is a channel for the primordial vibrational energies of our Great Mother Earth. The root chakra begins at the base of the spine and moves to the front of the body, vibrating over the pelvis and sexual organs. The root chakra carries the life force up the body while grounding you into the Earth at the same time.In the book "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden she makes mention that"The more "civilized" a culture, the more muddled the root chakra energy ofits members tends to be. A direct way to cultivate this energy, and tofeel more sexual and sexier, is to take up a form of dance where theprimary impulse of the movement comes from your pelvis. The root chakraresonates with the Earth's primordial life force. I love free-form African dance done to a primal beat.To dance from your root chakra is to dance with the Earth."The root chakra can carry wisdom from past lives as well as horrible suffering. Modern science has confirmed that the trauma of our ancestors is stored in our DNA. Any trauma we may have sustained in our life can also make genetic changes to our genetic makeup during our lifetime. Sometimes, the traumas of our ancestors are not coded in our DNA but they may be affecting our body's energy patterns. All of these changes can also be passed on to our offspring. Thus, one of the major components of this class is the use of the jade egg. The jade egg is a stone egg (made of jade) that descends from ancient china. It was used thousands of years ago by secret societies of women who knew about the importance of cultivating and circulating the regeneratinglife force energy (also known as chi) along with strengthening the sexual organs. This knowledge is not unique to china but the Chinese have done the most documentation on their training methods. Many people know about Kegel exercises, but they cannot compare to the level of strength and control gained from using a jade egg. Combining the use of a jade egg and dance moves at the same time will prove to be super challenging but I can guarantee you will be radiating new shades of light energy at the end of the program. All of us can be healed, opened up and guided by spirit to higher levels of consciousness within our own reality. Men and women alike should not be ashamed of their bodies and sexuality. It is time to MOVE! To move, energy blocks and get your blood moving! Energy needs to flow and circulate in order to invigorate your soul and entire being from the inside out. Women, please understand that childbirthdoes not have to tear your body a part and fibroid tumors are NOT normal at any age. Women, please be wise to the fact that our moon cycles are powerful but excruciating pain and discomfort is not aninevitable part of the whole experience. Women, we are off balance just like our GREAT MOTHER EARTH. Our physical state is a reflection of her physical state. We know she is sick and so it is manifesting inside of us in various ways. We must do work to fight against imbalance. It is time to align yourself with the cosmic, sensual, sexual, spiritual, strong, rhythms of our Great Mother and thus get yourself centered. Let's grow stronger and keep thriving for higher levels of mental and physical fitness. This takes strengthening all of the muscles in your body along with your mind. Moving multiple parts of your body at once to complex polyrhythms is a good mind body training stimulus. All women who participate in this class should purchase a jade egg prior to the start of the class. Please contact me for more info. before ordering.CLASS 411:This class will combine many different dance techniques from throughout the African Diaspora. This includes, samba, salsa, meringue, dancehall/reggae, hip hop & r&b, New Orleans second line to name a few. There will be live drummers for part of the class. The workouts will be a mix on intense dance moves and strength training with body weight and resistance. This is more challenging than aerobics based dance classes…this is like a dance class fitness boot camp. This is open to women on all levels, the atmosphere will be welcoming and supportive of every woman who decided to join. The emphasis will be to focus on your own improvement instead of comparing yourself to other participants. The dance moves are estrogen building and the strength training is testosterone building. Both hormones are important for our total well being. These workouts will work your entire body, tighten the muscle and help to mobilize fat stores. The first two classes are vital in order to complete the more advanced work during the last two weeks. Thus, one must commit to the entire four week program. After each class participants will be given assignments to work on until we meet again. You will always come back to the next session stronger than you were before. If you are interested in the class but know that you will have to miss some classes please contact me and we will see if we can work it out somehow.Every participant will receive detailed holistic performance nutrition guidance and outside assignments. How much of the fire is based on keeping things fresh in the bedroom? First + foremost, if we are speaking of sex in a relationship, a deep emotional exchange should be at the core...To care enough to bring your partner pleasure creates a space for emotional exchange...Once emotional exchanges become a regular in the sex, too much 'freshness' or 'spice' may become a distraction...Too much of anything can become a bad thing...Occasionally introducing some role play or toys is excellent was to keep the excitement...New positions + techniques are always a plus...But something new every time can become old...It's all about the right balance...

I don't claim to know everything...I just know what I know...

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Meditation Beads

Meditating

Meditation is a practice that I absolutely love!!

personally the feeling of euphoria is tremendous and whatever i ask the universe...i am greatly rewarded with an overflow of answers

my good friend maddie created a beautiful network for the creative spirits like myself and i wanted to share one of her many artworks that I love!

Meditation (Mala) Beads/Bracelet

There are 28 beads plus one a large Sumera bead, all handmade and finished off with a cotton tassle.
This is a elasticated bracelet version of Meditation Beads.
They are in a choice of 2 colours variations, including
a light purple and a light green.========================================

How to use your Meditation Beads The mala (string of beads) is traditionally held in the right hand and used in two ways - In one method, the mala is hanging between the thumb and the ring (third) finger. The middle (second)finger is used to rotate the mala by one bead towards oneself with each repetition of the mantra. In the other method, the mala is hanging on the middle finger, with the thumb used to rotate the mala just as explained - one bead at a time.Either way, the index finger is never used to touch the mala. The mala may coil on the floor with the hand resting on the right knee or used with the hand concealed in a mala bag.The practice begins at the summit bead (sumeru) and continues around the loop until the summit is reached again. The summit bead is never passed over. So if you plan to do more than 1 round, the mala is turned around to proceed again in the reverse direction.Whenever the mala is taken up, it automatically conditions the mind to the meditative state.

http://www.maddies-original-designs.com/Mala_Meditation_Beads/p23984_94305.aspx

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

When the world Stops Caring

Does it seem that when times are good, friends are right there? Study shows that friends or people are more in the way when you don't really need them for anything. But whenever times are bad, there is really no one to talk to and no one wants to lend a listening ear.

I understand that people don't like:

Negativity in their life

To be around complainers

Sadness

Tearful moments

Heartbroken people

No one care to be brought down to such a low point when they have no reason to be.

Me and the guys in the band used to always say that Positive vibes feed off of positive vibes and negative off of negative. It's like putting a new battery and an old battery in a remote control. Sure, It'll turn the channel ok, but only for a short period of time. Had it been two new batteries, then the life of the remote is much longer. A negative charge will bring down the positive faster than astronauts to the moon.

So what makes us shy away from the habits mentioned above?:

Is it because we have nothing to say

Don't know what to say

Too afraid to say what is on our minds

Try to avoid all conflict or people

Have no time

The Plus

True friends don't run away from problems nor do they judge. They lend a listening ear, encouraging words of wisdom and advice. They are strong and are doing the works of GOD. If you have someone in your life that is there for everything you go through, then consider yourself lucky. I am lucky to have 7 people including my mom to be in my life that has gone through the thick and thin with me and I with them. I've met so many people through events, shows, CHURCHES and so much more and would spend time with them, talk with them and just when I needed someone at a low point, they were gone like the leaves on a tree in the dead of winter. NEVER to be heard from again.

Did I mention CHURCH people too? Sad to say, but I was a member at 2 major churches in Atlanta, with one being in the Arts and Entertainment group with Speech from the Hip Hop group, Arrested Development.

I learned that we must seek the answers for ourselves and there are many ways to do that, but that is for another blog. After leaving that church, then I joined another and to the same effect, No One. This is not to say that churches or church people are worthless, but just not doing the works that is needed to be done as GOD-like people.

Question

Would GOD, Buddha, Allah, or whatever your source may be, turn his back on us if we were down and out???

Then why should we be any different?

by Creative Beings Member: Rootsology

www.creativebeings.ning.com

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Unitee Designs

I had to give Unitee Designs a Shout out for all their goodness in the community...
Browsing my Network (www.creativebeings.ning.com) today and said hey I would love other folks to know about such goodness and Inspiration in the world...Empower yourself Everyone and be the change you want to see in the world...

Make sure to give Unitee some love by checking out what great things they are up to!!!

UniTee Design, Inc. is an ethnic empowerment enterprise on a mission and with a vision: to reestablish Black Unity by empowering our youth through better educational opportunities.
There is a simple, painful truth. We are all failing too many failing youth. The problems they face are many in a society where there was once a greater concern for values and education. Most of today’s children have no values, little hope, and dreams they falsely believe to be achievable goals.
It is critical we find a better way, a different direction, to engage and excel our children. UDI believes we must capitalize on the interests most important to them -- be it video games, music, sports, etc. -- to deliver educational programs that leverage their interests, and better motivate and engage our youth to want to learn and succeed. It is of equal importance these programs incorporate positive principles that the red, black and green colors of our culture represent: a PRIDE in heritage and history; a POWER to overcome negative circumstances and environments; and a PURPOSE every child desperately needs to define or find to inspire love of self, and flourish to his or her’s fullest potential.

UDI funds, supports and develops youth enrichment programs through sales of our unique apparel and accessories that celebrate the beauty of our colors and the brilliance of our people. Connecting our children to their colors empowers them with a better understanding of their culture, heritage and history. for more...visit I am a "sun goddess." It is a challenge for me to thrive in summer.
As a "sun goddess" whose thick mane of locs did the mambo with a variety of cable-knit sweaters this winter, I wanted to share some organic loc cultivation tips for "keeping it hot"for the summer.

1. The night before you decide to wash your hair, pop in a movie and remove residue with tweezers. This technique is part of my "spring cleaning" ritual. This helps to remove any excess residue or in my case, a season worth of cable knit sweaters and scarves.

2.Treat yourself to a luxurious hot oil treatment before you wash your hair. Try heating sweet almond oil, olive oil and jojoba oil in and massage through your scalp for 3-5 mins. Apply a shower cap and sit under a dryer for 10 mins. If you do not have a sit under dryer then you can use a hand held dryer then rinse out and follow your regular wash routine.

The benefits of the hot oil treatment is amazing for our locs.
Request a hot oil treatment from your loctician or ask that special someone in your life to apply the hot oil to your locs along with a deep massage to your scalp to help keep your locs "hot for the summer."

Suggested Oils to Use for Hot oil Treatments:

Almond Oil
Olive Oil
Jojoba Oil
Vitamin E
Wheat Germ Oil
Shea Butter
Macadamia Nut Oil
Avocado Oil

**Essential oils can not be applied directly to the skin. Essential Oils must be combined with a carrier oil such as those mentioned above.**

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kiyomi "The Good Hair Expert," is natural hair artist who "stopped the lye" over a decade ago and is founder of The Good Hair Shop. www.thegoodhairshop.com

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

So What Do We Do When Love Is So Hard?

Inspired By: Loving hard is the hardest thing to do; In this perception of knowing our completeness, all relationships are then truly only about giving and sharing the abundant and expansive Love we know we are.The joy is in sharing our love within. We finally know the one we were looking for was ourself. We ourselves are everything. We are whole. We are love. Now with the old emotional, deep core patterns realised we are powerful balanced non-reactive vibrational beings ready for the new relating paradigm of the Heart.Awakening to The Golden AgeWhy do so many of us search endlessly for the ‘one true love’ in the hope of finding our soul mate/twin flame. What you are looking for is acceptance. You believe that this ‘one true love’ will accept you without conditionsYour search for that one is in fact the search for self-acceptance.Each relationship is there to provide you with a new opportunity to know yourself. It is through knowing yourself that you can then grow to accept yourself and to love yourself. The one true love is self-love; there is no other love. The greatest secret of all, discovered by the Christ and the Buddha and many others, was the secret of falling in love with the selfWhen you love the self, you are in a state of acceptance, total acceptance. As you accept, you cease resisting the world and all that is in it. As you give up resistance, you allow everything to be as it isAs you allow everything to be as it is,The Divine can work through you. for you will be at one with the source of all life. You will be at one with Love!http://organikblu.ning.com

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Ladies Be Part of the Ymib Team

Start spreading your beauty with women across the globe by becoming a contributing writer or artist for ymib.com Circle of Beauty Magazine! But there is one problem...a past flame!

These two have had fireworks in their early years and after years of growing, changes in jobs etc they fell off...when i say fireworks i mean they had the goo goo eyes but nothing official..

They reconnected with one another and one would think that their relationship may really take off but "she" has work to be done. ..

I was introduced to her and I was amazed at the intensity of her energy; overwhelming! from there on out she was in protection mode over her man (which was not her man)

Not knowing who I am as a woman ie likes/dislikes etc she quickly assumed the strangest things about me and of course i did the same.

I have never been interested in this young man at any point and this young woman made the energy so dark that i wished I had brought my amythest for her!

so why do some women act so protective over men that are not theirs?

I would love to have some feedback on this...and i assure you i was a deer in headlights from introduction to goodbye..
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Benefits of Jasmine

Jasmine is one of the many fragrances that explodes with healing aromas and properties which might explain the heavy price tag that most pure jasmine oils run. However there are all sorts of ways to incorporate this beautiful aroma in your life, whether its with warm lit jasmine candles, body creams, or herbal teas, or even a jasmine plant in your backyard. Jasmine is the perfect aroma and herb to blend into your lifestyle! And don't forget that with all pure essential oils that it does not take much, so be sure to dilute and do not apply pure oils directly to your skin. Many of the inexpensive oils are pre-diluted which reflects in its cost.

Top Healing Properties of Jasmine:

Uterine Tonic

Menstrual Pain & Cramps

Childbirth: used as a massage oil on the abdomen and lower back in the early stages of labor. Jasmine will both relieve pain and strengthen contractions, and it helps with the expulsion of the placenta after delivery which aids in post-natal recovery.

Antidepressant

Strengthens Male Sexual organs

Jasmine is a good oil for anyone who lacks confidence

Remedy for Coughs

-Resource: Aromatherapy: By Patricia Davis

subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

Plants for Cleaner Air

I definitely wanted to repost this because we can all do with cleaner air; it makes the world of difference...so here are some plants that will help make YOUR air much cleaner!

Houseplants are our often-overlooked helpers in ridding the air of pollutants and toxins, counteracting outgassing and contributing to balanced internal humidity.

It is suggested that one plant should be allowed for approximately
10 square yards of floor space, assuming average ceiling heights
of 8 to 9 feet.
This means that you need two or three plants to
contribute to good air quality in the average domestic living
room of about 20 to 25 square yards.

Research has shown that these 10 plants are the most effective
all-around in counteracting offgassed chemicals and contributing
to balanced internal humidity.

Areca palm
Reed palm
Dwarf date palm
Boston fern
Janet Craig dracaena
English ivy
Australian sword fern
Peace Lily
Rubber plant
Weeping fig

Although many plants like light, they do not all have to be placed near windows. Many indoor plants originated in the dense shade of tropical forests and have a high rate of photosynthesis. These are ideal for the home and can be placed in darker corners. When positioning plants, try to strike a balance between light and ventilation because the effect of plants on indoor air pollution appears to be reduced if they are set in a draft.

Written byAlan Berman.http://creativebeings.ning.com
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit

HER

Her skin sparkled in the moon light.

Velvety & so soft

She was dark like chocolate; i craved for

Her kisses like soft rain on my lips looking up into heaven feeling the sun kissing my forehead.

She made me feel like gold.

Crazy i was, crazy in love.

Crazy enough to laugh on the bus

Crazy enough to put on my favorite song.

Watching people walk in slow motion.

She loved me & and only me...or was it the idea of finding that chocolate bar that melted so good on that evening on March the 7th to be exact.

Her loving me sounded much better.

But she didnt want me, just the idea of me being the saliva, the tongue & love that I gave her.

Reality hits & now the rain pours heavily, my pores soaking up rejection.....the days are long now & filled with memories.

Fantasies of her saying "I want you more ..never in a million years."

c/o v.p

http://creativebeings.ning.com/
subscribe
Subscribe to Warm Sweet Fruit
