Traditionally you have a dinner of haggis, neeps, and tatties,  recite his poems and like any good Scottish tradition get hammered on whisky.

I did not do any of this as I was working but I did wear a wee bit tartan to work. Blue skies, mild temps and not too much wind. More good running weather. We ran a route going from Bonaly over to Glencourse then back to Harlaw and down Torphin hill. Beth's GPS informed us that it was 7.89 miles, although I added approx 4 extra miles as I ran from my house rather than drive to our meeting point and back.

 It is a road bike and I am very excited about getting some dry weather days so I can go out and play.

 I have decided to call her "Dolly" as today is Miss Parton's birthday and because they are both fabulous.

 I also registered for Pedal for Scotland's 100 mile bike ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh on 9th September 2012.

So many trees have been toppled in the high winds that much of garden has been roped off to restrict access. Hopefully they can use all the logs and wood chip for something useful. Mulch maybe?

I had forgotten about this video I made on my trip. I don't think I could get it to upload at the time, but now I have!

I took clips of video on my drive from Squamish, B.C, Canada to Knoxville, Tennessee. It was a roundtrip drive of approx 6000 miles. I did a lot of singing to myself.

It is funny watching it back now. It is a crazy mix of old and new buildings squashed into a small space on the side of a hill, but very interesting. I took a liking to some of the walls and their street names. I love the contrast between the 3 walls.
