EASTERN SAMAR HIT BY 7.9 QUAKE MAGNITUDE (PHOTOS)

The latest earthquake that hit Philippines, according to PHIVOLCS, the magnitude was about 7.7 near the EASTERN SAMAR, the center of quake. Hence, the local government of Eastern Samar, headed by their Mayor has already instructed the people to evacuate especially those who lives along the coastal area due to Tsunammi Alert Level 3.

But there was no reported damages or victims of the 7.9 QUAKE MAGNITUDE.

Aside from the Philippines other countries such as Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea and other islands in the Pacific including the U.S. state of Hawaii were also warned of Tsunami Alert by U.S. Geological Survey and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has raised Tsunami Warning 3 over the some provinces in the Philippines after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake was detected off Eastern Samar on Friday night.

Families along the coasts of Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur should leave their homes and seek higher ground.

The tsunami warning will be raised until 10:47 p.m., when a tsunami that may have been created by the earthquake would reach shores. If no tsunamis are reported by then, the Phivolcs will lower its tsunami warning.

The United States Geological Survey detected the magnitude 7.9 earthquake 139 kilometers east of Sulangan, Eastern Samar. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology measured a magnitude of 7.7, however.

This prompted the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii to issue Tsunami Bulletin Number 001 raising a tsunami warning.

As of 9 pm, tsunami warning has been issued for the Philippines, Indonesia, Belau, Yap island, Taiwan, Japan, Guam, Northern Marianas, and Papua New Guinea.

PTWC made clear, however, "it is not known that a tsunami was generated." It issued the warning because "an earthquake of this size has the potential to generate a destructive tsunami that can strike coastlines near the epicenter within minutes."

How to Apply in Pag-ibig Online Registration System?

Good News to all the employees and citizens of the Philippines you can now access or apply anytime, anywhere for your membership in Pag-ibig through their new Online Membership Registration . So this is a very good innovation of Pag-ibig, a very easy and fast registration for those who wish to apply for membership. So visit www.pagibigfund.gov.ph to register. See below the screen shot of Pagibig Online Registration Membership

An applicant only needs to fill out an electronic registration form at the website (www.pagibigfund.gov.ph). Data to be encoded include personal details, cellphone number, names and birthdates of beneficiaries, Tax Identification Number (TIN), and Social Security System (SSS) number, said Susan de Vera of Pag-IBIG Fund.

The Member’s Data Form (available at http://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/benpromembership.aspx)must be printed in two copies before submitting it directly to the Pag-IBIG office or thru the employer, she said.
The forms bears a Registration Tracking Number (RTN), which will be assigned to the client as a temporary account number while the application is undergoing verification, which usually lasts up to three weeks.
After submitting the form, an applicant will receive a confirmation of the application thru text. The new members will also get a permanent Pag-IBIG Membership ID to avail of services.

De Vera advised clients to keep their account numbers handy when they transact as the Pag-IBIG Fund no longer accepts payment from clients without their membership number.
Payment of contributions is still done manually but the office is working to automate that also, De Vera added.

The former Sony Music Entertainment executive, who now co-owns Casablanca Records in a joint venture with the Universal Music Group, is ready to work Sanchez's music career.

Mottola’s wife, superstar singer and actress Thalía, announced the news on Twitter.

“WOWgreat news! #TommyMottola just call me from #AmericanIdol & he is confirm to work in the first #JessicaSanchez CD!#MexicanFilipinoPower,” Thalía posted on her account.

Mottola, a veteran producer to music heavy weights such as Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan and even “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, is sure to help Sanchez launch a successful singing career.

Sanchez put on quite a show on Wednesday night’s “American Idol” finale, as she sang her heart out hitting high notes, leaving the audience speechless.

Sanchez, 16, performed “And I’m telling You I’m Not Going,” alongside Grammy-winning-singer Jennifer Holliday and proved once again why she was in the top two on “American Idol.”

It was certainly a battle of the lungs as both Holliday and Sanchez belted out impressive high notes and Jennifer Lopez jumped to her feet clapping and cheering loudly.

Sanchez also sang the late Whitney Houston’s classic track “I will Always Love You,” sporting a flowy blue gown.

Other Latino moments included the bedazzled performance by Jennifer Lopez with reggaeton rappers Wisin y Yandel, who sang "Follow the Leader.”

Lopez took it back to her urban days bumping and grinding with baggy pants, a tank top and sneakers. She also didn’t shy away from showing off her rock-solid abs.

Wisin Y Yandel landed on stage from flying poles as background dancers bounced around the walls performing impressive acrobatics to the beat.

Sanchez and Phillips took some time to honor their lifelong mentors and then revealed that they were getting brand new cars thanks to Ford.

Troubled five-time world boxing champion Johnny Tapia was found dead in his Albuquerque home Sunday night, aged 45, police told KOB-TV.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Robert Gibbs said officers were called to Tapia's house about 7:45pm after a family member found a body there, the Albuquerque Journal reported.
Gibbs said the death did not appear suspicious and that an official cause of death would be determined following an autopsy.

Throughout his controversial career, which included a nearly four-year suspension for testing positive to cocaine, Tapia won the WBO and IBF super flyweight titles, was WBA and WBO bantamweight champion and the IBF featherweight champion. He had a career record of 58-5-2, with 30 knockouts.
Tapia had a history of drug problems. He was hospitalized in critical condition from an apparent cocaine overdose in March, 2007, was jailed in 2009 for a violation of parole related to cocaine use and returned to prison in 2010 after failing a drug test.

Migrant Heritage Commission (MHC) Wants Transparency on Final American Idol 11 Results!

In Washington DC, a group based organization, the Migrant Heritage Commission (MHC), Inc., wrote the American Idol producer Mr. Nigel Lythgoe asking for the transparency of the American Idol Season 11 voting results. "Congratulations on the successful season of the American Idol which has become a globally supported spectacle on television entertainment. We likewise congratulate the winner Phillip Phillips for winning the title this year.
"Our Washington, D.C.-based organization, the Migrant Heritage Commission (MHC), a non-profit organization that secures and promotes cultural diversity, has been actively involved in the voting for Filipina-Mexican contestant Jessica Sanchez, who ranked Number 2 in the contest. It was a remarkable feat which Ms. Sanchez has reached.
"In the spirit of transparency and public trust, we are earnestly seeking an explanation as to how the judging of the winners are arrived at.
"How those 132,000,000 votes cast were reached, and as to how many went to the individual singers.
"We do not want to be misconstrued as sour grapers, because we were supportive of Jessica Sanchez, but because we deserve to know the entire process, including the information as to how a board of auditors (if there is) conducts the tallying of scores.
"We hope that this letter would merit your due attention. Thank you so much."

Warning: Some might find the images, photos, pictures disturbing: Japanese Artist, Mao Sugiyama serves his own genitals. Who is Mao Sugiyama?

Tokyo - Mao Sugiyama, 22-year-old "asexual" Japanese artist, had his genitals surgically removed at a hospital. He then took his frozen penis and scrotum home, seasoned and cooked them for five dinner guests. He cooked his genitals himself, supervised by a chef.

According to CalorieLab.com, Sugiyama organized a banquet dubbed “Ham Cybele – Century Banquet,” at the “Asagaya Loft A” event space in the Suginami Ward of Tokyo. CalorieLab.com explains that "'Century' in Japanese is a homophone for the Japanese word for 'genitals' and 'Ham Cybele' refers to the Anatolian mother goddess, prefixed with an appropriate word for tough meat to create a phrase whose initials match Sugiyama’s artist name of HC."

According to CalorieLab.com, Sugiyama publicly seasoned and braised his own genitals on a portable gas cartridge burner. Daily Mail reports that the genitalia were garnished with mushrooms and parsley. He charged the five diners $250 per person.

According to Daily Mail, before the favored guests tucked into dinner, they were entertained to a piano recital and took part in a panel discussion.

CalorieLab.com reports that the young man had initially considered eating his genitals himself but decided to invite guests instead. According to The Huffington Post, he first tweeted his intention to offer his genitals for dinner on April 8. A few days before his 22nd birthday, he underwent elective genital-removal surgery.

Daily Mail reports that his tweeted invitation to dinner excited a flurry of interest online. He tweeted: "I am offering my male genitals (full penis, testes, scrotum) as a meal for 100,000 yen (£800). I’m Japanese." He continued: "The organs were surgically removed at age 22. I was tested to be free of venereal diseases. The organs were of normal function. I was not receiving female hormone treatment. First interested buyer will get them, or I will also consider selling to a group. Will prepare and cook as the buyer requests, at his chosen location. If you have questions, please contact me by DM or e-mail."

Sugiyama initially split the offer between six guests. According to The Hufffington Post, he finally divided it up into penis shaft, testicles and scrotal skin between five diners. On April 13, only five of six diners signed up for the $250-per-plate feast. The sixth person failed to show up.

About 70 people attended the dinner in the Suginami ward of Tokyo. While five people dined on Sugiyama's genitals, others ate beef and crocodile meat.

CalorieLab.com reports that the five genital eaters were a 32-year-old male artist, who said he was doing it or "research," a 30-year-old white-collar couple, who said they were simply "curios," an attractive 22-year-old woman, who said she wondered how it would feel, and a 29-year-old event planner Shigenobu Matsuzawa, who tweeted before the event, “It’s a once in a lifetime chance, so I decided on the spur of the moment to do it.”

Sugiyama posted photos of the event to his blog but later removed them citing "privacy considerations." According to Daily Mail, he made his guests sign a waiver that he was not responsible if they became ill from eating his penis and scrotum. Guests said the genitalia had a rubbery texture and a bland taste, CalorieLab.com reports.

The Huffington Post reports that when CalorieLab.com called the police, they said they could not launch any investigation into the incident because no laws were contravened. According to CalorieLab.com, there is no law against cannibalism in Japan.

Daily Mail reports Sugiyam also had his nipples removed.

According to MSN, Sugiyam said he hosted the dinner to "raise awareness about sexual minorities, x-gender [and asexual] people."

Daily Mail reports that Sugiyam as a "asexual" said he would not have his male genitalia replaced with female ones.

MANILA, Philippines - Close to three weeks after the melee between Ramon Tulfo and the group of Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto, TV 5 got hold of a copy of a video purportedly showing that it was the latter who first hurt the columnist and TV5 host.

The video shows a man in a pink shirt who was talking to Tulfo. The man was beside a woman in pink tops and white shorts, attire that is similar to what Barretto was wearing during the May 6 incident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City. The man in pink shirt was seen on the video hitting Tulfo in the head with his left hand. The scene reportedly took place before the melee.

Tulfo had said he was simply trying to pacify Barretto, Santiago's wife, who was allegedly verbally abusing a ground crew over her offloaded luggage, when Santiago turned on him. Tulfo said he had arrived from Davao onboard a Cebu Pacific flight when he chanced upon Barretto scolding the ground crew of Cebu Pacific.

Tulfo said he was taking pictures of Barretto while also trying to pacify her when Santiago came up to him and allegedly tried to get his cellphone. He refused, and he said that was when all the trouble started.

The Santiagos have kept saying the amateur video earlier uploaded on youtube, showing their group ganging up on Tulfo, told only the second half of the story, because, they claimed, before this happened, it was Tulfo who first hit them, prompting the group to retaliate. They made a public appeal for others who may have videotaped the "first part" of the incident to step forward, so they can tell the truth.
