A serious incident occurred after the boxing match of Carlo Maquinto against Mark Joseph Acosta last Saturday, January 28, 2012. Now Karlo Maquinto is fighting for his life, he is still in Coma. According to reports that Carlo Maquinto is in critical condition, but he's family is praying that Carlo Maquinto will be able to recover.

The fight of Carlo Maquinto vs Mark Joseph Acosta was full of actions, both fighters exchanged hard punches. During early rounds Carlo Maquinto were flooded by Mark Acosta's power punching that made him fall to the floor. But Carlo Maquinto is a strong warrior he fought and recovered up to end of the fight and the result was a draw.

The recent examination for Head Teachers or NQESH which was given last October 2011 was released by the Department of Education (DepEd) through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP)

The total number of examinees were about 11,778 and only 1,024 made it by having the cut-offscore of 90% percent.

News is all over the internet now about Representative Iggy Arroyo, according to reports Iggy Arroyo is dead. But this news is not yet confirmed. A certain article posted in yahoo talking about the conflicting reports on Representative Iggy Arroyo’s condition and according to them they are still validating or updating the story of the incident.

But if in case this incident is true that Rep. Iggy Arroyo has really passed away, it will be a very sad news especially on the part of his family, his brother First Gentleman Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo.

(UPDATE) Conflicting reports say Negros Occidental Representative Iggy Arroyo has passed away and then was merely pronounced "clinically dead" while in London Thursday, according to several officials.

Earlier, Lawyer Romulo Macalintal told Yahoo! Southeast Asia that former First Gentleman Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo already confirmed his brother's passing.

Iggy, who has been in London to seek treatment for his ailing liver, is also former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's brother-in-law. He was 60.

"Yes, it was confirmed by the First Gentleman. His relatives are already preparing to transport [Iggy] to Manila," Macalintal said in a phone interview around Thursday noon.

Ferdinand Topacio said Iggy "passed away 7 am Manila time" due to cardiac arrest.

"They tried to resuscitate him but he fell into a coma," added Topacio in a separate phone interview.

But Iggy's chief staff Edgar Ruado clarified that the latest information they have is Iggy is still under coma and still has heartbeat.

"Right now he is pronounced clinically dead and under life support," Ruado said in a phone interview.

Ruado said there may have been "confusion" in terms to use for Iggy's condition.

"As we speak, he's 'vegetable' already but he still has heartbeat," Ruado said around 3:00 pm.

Topacio said he is trying to contact the former First Gentleman about the conflicting reports but has yet to get a response.

Macalintal earlier said interment details are still sketchy but there will be necrological services at the House of

Representatives and at Negros Occidental. The burial will most likely be in Manila, he had said.

Iza Calzado has transferred to ABS-CBN, I thought it was just a rumor that Iza Calzado is transferring to Kapamilya network but I was wrong.

Yes! Iza Calzado is now in ABS-CBN and in fact Iza’s welcome party as the a Kapamilya was held last Sunday on ASAP 2012.

And to prove that Iza is really now a Kapamilya, She officially signed an exclusive 3 year contract with ABS-CBN last Tuesday, January 24, 2011. And according to Iza Calzado, her decision to transfer to Kapamilya network is a career move.

ABS-CBN personnel present during the signing of contract were executives Charo Santos-Concio, Linggit Tan, Cory Vidanez and Laurenti M. Dyogi and of course Mr. Noel Ferrer, the manager of Iza Calzado.

Iza Calzado also said that “It’s just a business and at some point we will make a certain decision and hopefully without burning bridges,”

But I’m just a bit worried about Iza Calzado’s career move, I’m talking about her fans in the Kapuso GMA 7 network if what will be there reactions about this matter. I hope they will not find it bad for Iza.

According to Philstar.com reports that on Sunday, January 22, City councilor Shalani Soledad, 31, and Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo, 44, were wed at the St. Benedict Church in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Around 700 guests attended the ceremony.

Based on the report also that Shalani Soledad walked down the aisle with the background song "Just the way You Are" by Bruno Mars.

Sarah Burke, one of the best female skier in the world. Shes is Top Canadian female skier . But today a very sad news came out that Sarah Burke is dead after an accident on a half-pipe course in Utah.

Sarah Burke suffers severe traumatic brain injury on halfpipe Canadian freestyle skier which is the cause of her death.

Sarah Burke is 29-year-old and a Winter X Games champion and 2005 half-pipe world gold medalist.

This is really a very sad news to all the fans of Sarah Burker.

Here's a statement from Burke's publicist.
Sarah suffered "severe irreversible damage to her brain due to lack of oxygen and blood after cardiac arrest," according to a statement from Burke's publicist.

"As the result of Sarah's fall, she suffered a ruptured vertebral artery, one of the four major arteries supplying blood to the brain. The rupture of this artery led to a severe intracranial hemorrhage, which caused Sarah to go into cardiac arrest on the scene," according to the statement. "While early reports in the media stated that Sarah's injury was a traumatic brain injury, it is important to note that Sarah's condition was the result of a lack of oxygen to the brain during cardiac arrest."
