Above one is the ageless law of nature, but the fittest are rarely the strong rather escapist from actual situation. Reasonable one always adapts according to environment/surrounding and chooses to live a fake adaptable life. Don’t you, feel why the fuck are you wasting your original colour of feeling/passion.

've never been so sure of anything. It's like, I've finally come to understand the difference between dread and fear, and those nervous butterflies that everyone keeps talking about. You want to know how I know? Fear has an object, one is afraid of something. Dread, on the other hand does not, because it is the fear of nothing.

And it's in those moments that I realize that the fear I feel is only surface level. It's the kind of fear you feel right before you turn on a bright light after hours of being in the dark- just a few seconds before you open your eyes to see something so beautiful, something you couldn't see before. For the first time in my life, I don't want to run away.

Yesterday after seeing the film, I’m happy as the film is excellent and Jeff Bridges won the Best Actor award at Oscars. Based on Thomas Cobb’s 1987 novel of same name and directed by Scott Cooper, the film adaption of Crazy Heart is admirable. The Dude (Coen Brothers' film The Big Lebowski) most definitely deserved the Academy Award.

Jeff Bridges wonderfully acts as formerly successful country singer-songwriter Bad Blake, who is now a middle-aged, alcoholic and earns living by singing and playing his guitar at one-night stands, in small town bars, in the southwestern United States. Having a history of failed marriages, Bad is without a family. His classic country songs are better known now as covered by his young country superstar Tommy Sweet – played by Colin Farrell.

Bad seems to have accepted his fate as a washed up has been destined to end his days crawling from one bad gig to the next with his only pleasure being found in a whiskey bottle. But things change when he falls for a young, openhearted music journalist named Jane (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

The movie’s soundtrack features classic country tunes and new, original music by T Bone Burnett. The combination of Burnett’s compositions and Bridges’ gritty vocals results in songs that sound as if they’d been recorded by 'The Highwaymen' themselves.

Bridges’ performance of Bad Blake seems to blend elements of “Outlaw” country stars Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard,

and Waylon Jennings.

The Death of Marat, 1793, may be the leading image of the Fear and 'm sure, to many others, it's depressing. But the sacred light cast upon the painting, giving hint of hope and not to worry. Fear of death is true and a bitter idea. Also the bitter makes the sweet so much sweeter. So main funda is - Life is too short to be ruled by the fear of death.

After reading, this may be one of the most beautiful paintings of death.

'Common Knowledge' & 'Agree to disagree'

Knowledge entails the truth of the proposition known; that which is merely believed may be false. If I have beliefs about your beliefs, then I may believe that some of your beliefs are false. I may believe, for example, that you mistakenly believe that it is now raining outside. This is a coherent belief for me, though not for you. You cannot coherently believe that you believe falsely that it is raining, and this despite the fact that you’re having that false belief is clearly a logical possibility.

“I know that you know that I know that . . .” finds its limit in the notion of common knowledge. A proposition X is said to be common knowledge for you and me when I know that X, you know that X, I know that you know that X, you know that I know that X, I know that you know that I know that X, and so on to infinity.

Concept of common knowledge is dramatically illustrated by a famous puzzle:

Three children wearing hats are sitting in a circle. Each of them knows that the hat she is wearing is either red or white, and each can see the color of the other two hats, but none can see the color of her own hat. In fact all three hats are red. The teacher asks each child in turn if she knows which color her own hat is, and of course each child answers no. The teacher then announces that at least one of the children is wearing a red hat. Now when the children are asked again if they can determine the color of their own hats, the answers change. The first child asked answers no. So does the second. But the third child to be asked answers that she is now certain that her hat is red! The puzzle is to explain the chain of reasoning that led the third child to her correct answer. Since the teacher merely told the children something that each of them already knew was true, how could the announcement have made a difference?

The key to the puzzle is that there is a significant difference between (a) all three children knowing that at least one hat is red, and (b) its being common knowledge among the three children that at least one hat is red. The teacher’s announcement made a difference by making what each already knew a matter of common knowledge.

Philosophers, Robert Aumann proved something rather surprising about common knowledge: if two agents have the same prior probabilities, and the posterior probabilities they assign to some proposition X are common knowledge, then those posterior probabilities must be equal. That is so even if those posterior probabilities for X are based on completely different evidence. This surprising conclusion is sometimes expressed as follows: common knowledge of posterior probabilities negates asymmetric evidence. More usually, the content of the theorem is summed like this: rational agents with the same priors cannot agree to Disagree.

Religion has an unstable relationship with capitalism. Islam prohibits lenders from charging interest. On the other hand, German economist and sociologist Max Weber wrote Protestantism’s contribution to capitalism in his 1904 work, The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. Hinduism endorses the pursuit of artha(wealth) and even seems to favour subha labh(auspicious gain).

Religion, according to Max Weber, was not an ideology produced by economic interests; rather, it was what had made the modern capitalist world possible. In the present decade, when cultures seem to be clashing and religion is frequently blamed for the failures of modernization. Weber argues that in the modern world, the work ethic has become detached from the religious passions that gave birth to it, and that it now is part of rational, science-based capitalism.

The left/socialist and church-based critiques of neoliberalism consider that the capitalist market encourages a ‘destructive egoism’ and all forms of capitalism are “founded on the selfish individual”. Capitalism consciously appeals to the individual’s inclination to acquire goods, to accumulate wealth, whether in order to be better protected, to have the wherewithal to lead a comfortable life in the future, or to count for something in society. The inclination can become an addiction, the accumulation of wealth an end in itself. This is what Christian ethics defined as covetousness, cupidity, or avarice (from the Latin avaritia).

Jawaharlal Nehru said profit was a dirty word. But in recently launched book The Leader’s Way ,Dalai Lama has called profit a “fine aim”. So, here it is obvious Dalai Lama going beyond the spiritual to offer practical business advice. The Leader’s Way proposes a “responsible free market economy” and Lama says he is a supporter of Globalization and free markets. But when secular pundits and prophets have spent the past year declaring capitalism to be in crisis, it is interesting to see religious leaders rise in its defence.

Neora Valley National Park

Neora valley is a National Park situated in the Kalimpong subdivision of West Bengal. The park covers an area of 88 sq. kms, and is located close to the tourist destination of Lava. Neora Valley shares its border with Western Bhutan and the forests of Sikkim. It was declared as a National Park finally in 1986 and derives its name from the Neora River running through the forest. A large network of streams and torrents is spread across the park sustaining a large variety of luxuriant vegetation, mammals, birds and reptiles. The forest nurtures many species of vegetation like wild strawberries, wild white orchids, primulas, yews, hemlocks and about 10 different species of rhododendrons.

Chauddapheri / Red Panda Camp

The Neora Valley National Park has two entry points: one is from Lava and the other from Samsing. The trek route through Lava starts from Zero Point which is about 25 kms from Lava through motorable road bounded by dense forests. From here no vehicles can go further, and thus, the trek begins.

Being a part of the Himalaya, the altitude of the National Park varies from 183 m to 3200 m. The highest point lies on the north bordering Sikkim called Rachilla Danda. Small water bodies / Waterlands are scattered all over the Park namely the Jorepokhri, Panchpokhri, Tempola etc.

Neora Valley, one of the least tracts of virgin wilderness in the country sustains a unique eco-system where tropical, sub-tropical, sub-temperate, and temperate vegetative system still harbours a wealth of flora and fauna.

Flora:

The forests consists of mixed species like rhododendron, bamboo, oak, ferns, sal etc. The Valley also has numerous species of orchids. One can get a glimpse of these magnificent flora from 600 feet to 10,000 feet. Some of the Orchids recorded in the Neora Valley, belong to the genus, Bulbophyllum, Cymbidium, Dendrobium, Eria, Gastrochilus & Pleione.

Fauna:

The fauna consist of such endangered species as the clouded leopard, red panda, and musk deer. Other species are leopard, five species of civet, black bear, sloth bear, golden cat, wild boar, leopard cat, goral, serow, barking deer, sambar, Himalayan flying squirrel and Thar.

Due to its change in altitude at places, Neora Valley National Park are birders' paradise, some of India most sought after birds are found here. There are more than 106 species of birds which include Eagle, Tragopan, Cuckoo, Wood Owl, Barbet, Woodpecker, Babbler, Robin, Thrush, Flycatcher, Jungle Crow, Sunbird, Maynas and Orioles.

There are 5 different trekking routes,

1. Lava - Chauddapheri - Zero - PHE Source - Alubari Halt - Lava

2. Alubari Halt - Rachella Danda - Jorepokhri Halt - Lava

3. Jorepokhri - Tangta - Tode - Jaldhaka

4. Mulkhagra - Renauk( Sikkim )

5. Samsing - Bhotekharka - Samsing

During summer and spring, the Rechila Top is covered with a magical carpet of red made by flowers shed from the trees, and different types of rhododendrons – red, pink and white – can be seen.

Also there is pleasure of camping at the riverside among large rocks near the river in Alubari.

As you reach Rechila Top, you will be offered with a magnificent view of the Kangchendzonga Range and the valley of Bhutan on the other side. Finally, it wouldn’t be inappropriate to state that the Neora Valley trek is a bird watching tour, adventure tour and a wilderness tour all packed into one. It is no doubt a dream trek for nature lovers.

'Saw 'Bridges of Madison County' yesterday. This is a sad love story, of conflicted love and hindered romance, but beautiful.

In this movie you will find, Francesca (Meryl Streep) made a choice. After many years of marriage, having two kids and running a farm, being a houswife, she finally met the love of her life - Robert (Clint Eastwood)- man of her life, and when he asked her to leave with him, she decided to stay.
