The 23:23: What does this means for the Philippines?

There are people who believe that there is power in the numbers especially when it appears repeatedly. Like the number 222, it appeared thrice or 44 it appeared twice etc. I remembered when I received a text message from someone last August 8, 2008 saying that when I forward the message to 20 people something good happens to me because it was a triple 8. Can we really find a meaning from this?

Now, take a look at the day EDSA 1 celebration. Is there something that we could relate at? Was it not in 23^rd day of February at the same time 23^rd anniversary of the EDSA 1? I don’t think that Malacañang had intentionally put this thing in a set up. It was by virtue of the Proclamation Number 1463 that moved the celebration from 25thto 23^rd day of February. In other words, the exact date was on the 25th day of the February. However, since time had allowed this thing to happen it has still a reveling meaning which we have to seek at what is it?

The number 23 corresponds to the letter W in the alphabet, right? Could you think something relevant to W? In the bible 23 means DEATH. While for some like 23 Enigma believes that all events are connected to the number 23, given enough ingenuity on the part of the interpreter and many others like the 23 movie, XXIII roman numerals, etc. in which we are all puzzled as to what exactly it means.

Here comes another puzzle which you will really like, the 23:23 in the Philippines. It was in the 23^rd day of February when the 23^rd anniversary of People Power 1 was celebrated. Did you notice the coincidence? If you are a believer of something peculiar numbers, you could sense this and probably think something about this. Could you draw a meaning for this? What does it mean for the country economically, politically, culturally? Or it is just an opportunity for the Filipino people to do “rally” instead for their outright protest against the government.

Look Valentine via its Word: Val And Tine?

This argument is not an intervention to the common concept of Valentine. That the usual concept is the lovers (two or more) were particularly celebrating somewhat a different form of intercourse. I do not mean of a mere sexual intercourse but of dating, texting, chatting, giving of flowers, giving of cards, etc in every 14th day of February that is in memory of Saint Valentine.

We and the people before us are talking and taking this matter but do not bother to some flawed definition. Have we start thinking of a specific definition and objective as to whom is this valentines actually address? This is a question we had failed to ask even though simple.

The revealing definition is actually an expanded understanding but in a simple way, putting some decorations into the concept. Valentine is indeed a day only for those who have partners. And on the day must have a partner because take a look at the term “VALENTINE”. Is it not a two-coined word with a connector in between to which the two must be intact? Let us do mathematics now to make it more colorful to understand. The given terms of the word Valentines are Val, En and Tines. Did you see that? Is it not that Val is a name of a person? I have a neighbor that bear with this name. The second is En but let us proceed with the remaining one so that we can understand this simply. So the last word is Tine. Is it not a name of again of a person? Yes it is actually. Both Val and Tine are names names of a person. You can search that n the internet. However, these names are uncommon. That's a fact. So what's next? These names are incomplete if these are just they are. I mean it is nonsense to relate it with Valentine because it does not follow. Oh come on! Here is the binding force that put meaning to this. Have you notice we left the term En. En is very important because it is the one that makes Valentine complete. But take note since in is a binding force it possesses a different role in the context. It is to be used using its sound. Meaning "En" is sound like what? Is it not sound like "and"? So this really the fate of this term to be considered "and" in the context of Valentine. Therefore to sum up the entire thing Valentine is made out of Val And Tine. The common sense tells that it is a partnership of two individuals. Val is a name of a man and Tine is a woman name. But to the extent that whether homogeneous is acceptable here, the answer is it depends. Just look at the names and that's it. In other words you have the choice.

Thus, Valentines is only for those individuals who have a partner. A partnership is only for two individuals not more than this. So celebrating Valentines Day alone is not correct. Is this sound interesting?

Note: This is important to note for everybody because it is hidden for so many years. Now that it is discovered and revealed, it must to be put in our consciousness.

These are occurring nowadays together with other effects but put much fear to scientists because the people are easily ignoring such claims because they take it just as an "inconvenient truth".

Here now they are calling the attention of the youth. Through the high technology that we have whether the youth are capable of creating solutions in solving the great threat to the security of our mother Earth. Of course there are big prices to be given away to winners like 3000USD for the first place, 2000 USD for the second place, 1000 USD for the third place and many more for the rest. The whisper of the earth should not be understood literally because we will be losing our direction. Because we will be talking about things outside of our mind. But the point of the director is that of the ever conflict in Mindanao. Ever since in the memory and history that land of Mindanao is full of war, battle, etc. It is a chaotic society with varied reasons why it is a usual occurrence like political, economic, culture,religion, ethnicity, etc. Yet Children and women are always the victims of such bad customary exercise.

I t was particularly in the place of Hinyok where the story of the little boy "Mandung" 11 years old. Mandung is an eye-witness to the worst fate of their place and of his life.

The Most Valuable Change..?

Do you know what is the most valuable change right now? The reason why I am asking is because this term "change" is very common. It is everywhere like when you dress you have to change your vest from shoes, slacks or jeans, underwear etc.. Toothbrush is I think is monthly must be changed. Meals are not all the time must be the same so there's change. When you listen to Obama "Yes we can change", the words that he usually wants to emphasize. When you buy something along with your item/s you received change. Of course this is another kind of change but still we are not lost. The point is change is varied. But whether it has many different meanings, purposes and uses we still have to weigh it so that we will know which is least or just ordinary and which is most and needs priority to some extent. When almost always it is very common in most speeches. US President Barrack Obama is fun of using this.

Now the second question is, is it based on monetary unit like Dollar, Euro Dollar, Dinar, Peso, etc.? By the way, how much is dollar to you? I mean how much its value for you? I should expect more I think. To go further let me tell you where did I got the beginning of all this things. Actually I got this when I was riding at the jeep going to school where I passed by the ACT (Asian College of Technology). There I saw a big tarp hanging besides the sky-rise building that has the printed face of U.S President Barack Obama with a slogan "Yes we can change" and beside him, are coins in different currencies. From then on I was bothered with that kind of scenario because it seems that it has really something to portray, an important message perhaps for the viewers. And this is what ...

It was very hot and smoky environment when I passed that particular school. Basically I experienced of being not comfortable with my ride. The first thing came to my mind that I and you have to blame is our old system. The system that I am referring to is the use of fuel oil in our most daily activities from transportations we have cars, factories, electricity etc. which is actually our means of improving our economy but indeed not suitable for the environment and for us the people who suffered much of the effects.

It cannot be argued that indeed cars, factories and among others release toxic chemicals to the atmosphere because we can observe it. And we just easily ignore this fact. We became deaf and blind to the needs of our environment that's why we are given these consequences. We are just fooled by our wrong perception that the earth and the environment is too big to destroy. We did a great mistake.

But I know everything is not yet too late. I know that we can resolve this problem. It only needs our confidence. To put heavy statement it just needs our political will to make a change as quoted by Al Gore. The solutions are in our hands. Now that we know this, we then have to put an edge on this. We have to put actions. Sifting for an alternative is always possible. Shifting for the alternative is the solution where the most valuable change is available. Again it is not about the Dollars or any currencies but for sifting of the new system.

When we look at the vast sky during the night time, we could find among the numerous stars above, a star that is unique to all maybe it is the brightest star. When you have many friends, there is also one of them that you feel very close. You tend to move closer to him/her but take note slowly because you may collide to each other and that would be a big bang...toink! Anyways the same thing when I was attending a seminar with lots of speakers giving us lots of words and messages but there is one statement that struck me most. Professor Acosta from Asian Institute of Management uttered such word "Loving is about understanding". What does this mean? and how it works for us? He added because you cannot love a person or a thing if you don't understand him/it. Wow! What a beautiful message!

Actually, he was talking about the environmental issues happening nowadays while he faced the future economists of the country. He presented the different slides containing the scenarios of Global warming, pollution, climate change etc. In addition, he specifically concentrates on the Philippine condition. Our recent experiences with too much heat outside and the peculiar appearances and events to the parts of country are the indicators. Philippine as he always said "one of the hotspots". The future of the Filipinos would be dark if we failed to do a better response on the existing problems. The point he was trying to establish is we need to care and love our environment while we are working on our everyday living. How do we do this?

We need to understand our environment. Our understanding is the key to the answers, to the solutions of these problems. Moreover, hopefully it is not only to words and theories but also into actions. Even simple actions is enough to help the problems like recycling or reusing if we deal with plastics usually and renewing perhaps to appropriate companies. The solutions are in our hands. We just have to mobilize our hands by our understanding. Thus, as a member of an organization, a citizen of the country and a public concern of the international environment, we can do something for the good of our planet and the hope of our future and the generations to come. Let us begin to understand so that we can also begin to love. Life is of no sense if we do not know how to love. Show your love, I will show my love and we will show our love and everything would be fine. Right?

The Claimate Change

What is the hottest today is not anymore about those girls dancing in the bar nor about the bias news in the media and never the unfair cycle of commerce and trade in business etc. but exactly the extreme heat coming from the sun all day, all over the places of the globe. So when you get out from the roofs of your home or whatever building you belong you can no longer feel the contained-vitamins heat of the sun that would penetrate and react into your skin otherwise you will be burning. It is really hot. This scenario is of course experience not only by human being but all living organisms as well as non-living things. Well it is not really a big deal for some people who are living almost all the time inside the air conditioned rooms but who could say that they will just live there forever. I mean all of us need the outside or the environmental resources for our survival. And besides even if they are always inside the building but still it is sure that they could really feel the bad situation outside. And also other organisms cannot hide themselves. The point is all of us are affected wherever we live in because we cannot detach our self from the environment. We need food coming from trees, waters coming from watersheds that are also come from rainfall, lands for planting of trees etc. So, the moment this environment which is our source of needs although via technology we are not anymore directly dependent on it, be destroyed, ruined and damaged we are too. The magic beans of San Goku is not yet invented concretely where we could just take one of those beans and for 10 years we don't need food? Oh come on! Let's be real. That thing existed only in the imagination of the director of the cartoon movie and we are not. We exist in the reality and we are supposed to protect and preserve our environment in order for us to survive and the generations to come. Our next generations hopefully can still utilize this resourceful planet full of beauty and goodness. The claim of many scientists is not just an inconvenient truth but a reality; claimate change. Climate change is now in our environment. It was not gradually coming but rapid. So, we are in the danger. Also the people next to us are in the danger and our mother earth is practically already endangered. Believe it! It is Claimate Change.
