Road Show with Michele Renders

I attended the PCPPA Road Show with Michele Renders (instructor) yesterday in Tacoma.

We had a great class with about 6 participants working on off camera lighting. Michele did a great job of demonstrating and explaining the techniques she uses to create beautiful lighting.

(Thanks Michele) The photographs I posted are not examples of the lighting techniques- I just snapped a few for fun at the end of our class- before we headed to the Spaghetti Factory for a tasty lunch.

We had a great session together and just just out of the blue my favorite local graffiti place got painted over so...we were chasing down a spot for some cool photographs that would include graffiti- so we could also capture some art work. I had the opportunity to photograph Erica because she is friends with Karlie Hall who is cousins with Sarah Johnson. It's a small world. Life is good that way. This is beautiful Tessa- she had been a fantastic senior rep this year. Tonight is prom night and I had the honor of photographing her and friends at Shannon's house. It was a very fun event to see all the couples dressed and excited for the evening ahead. What a lucky group of people to have a big group of friends to go through school with, to keep each other accountable and supported. This is Kevin and his cow, Warhol. Warhol is weighing in at 1200 lbs. Quit a good appetite I would agree. Kevin has raised Warhol his senior year. Kevin also has a lamb name Andy. So clever! Photographing Warhol was a challenge. I didn't have in mind that cows really just want to eat and eat and eat. So getting his face up out of the grass was a challenge. Glad he cooperated a few times. Here is a sneak peek for Sara. I just love her beautiful green eyes and adorable smile. We had so much fun during her chilly photo session this week. (maybe it was a bit colder than chilly) There were a few snow flakes floating around but she hung in there for great portraits and fun. She has a black lab named Duke- best dog ever...I almost forgot he was there after we photographed Sara with Duke.
