Monster Movie is the debut album by the German krautrock band Can, recorded and released in 1969. After the release of their first two singles in 1968, Can produced an album that was to be their full-length debut, entitled Prepared to Meet Thy Pnoom, but no record company was willing to release it. Monster Movie was Can's attempt to make a more accessible record for commercial release.

The cover of the album depicts the giant faceless figure of Marvel Comics' character Galactus, and is credited to "The Can", a name originally suggested by vocalist Malcolm Mooney and taken on as a result of a democratic vote. Previously the band were known as "Inner Space", which later became the name of their purpose-built recording studio. Some copies of the LP bore the subtitle "Made in a castle with better equipment". Upon its release in 1969, the album became very influential in the development of the krautrock genre. From the Velvet Underground-inspired "Father Cannot Yell", to the 20-minute jam (pared down from 6 hours) "Yoo Doo Right", Monster Movie brings together elements of psychedelic rock, blues, free jazz, world music and other styles of music in which the members of Can were steeped. With its balance of songwriting, improvisation, experimentation, and layering of sounds, the album set a standard for Can's subsequent albums in the early 1970s, Monster Movie enjoys the distinction of being the only album released during the Can's original decade as a band on which Malcolm Mooney performed all of the vocals. Two more Mooney songs appeared on 1970's Soundtracks album, with the majority featuring his replacement, Damo Suzuki.

This album "GENESIS - NURSERY CRYME Gatefold Album cover" is the third studio album by Genesis and was recorded and released in 1971. It is also the first album to feature the classic five-piece line-up of Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins and Steve Hackett; the latter two replacing John Mayhew and Anthony Phillips, on drums and guitar respectively, in 1970 and 1971. This line-up remained consistent until A Trick of the Tail, when Phil Collins became lead singer instead of Peter Gabriel after his departure from the band in 1975

Bark, released in 1971, is one of the late-period albums by Jefferson Airplane, notable for many "firsts" with its major personnel change.

It was the first without band founder Marty Balin and the first with violinist Papa John Creach. Drummer Spencer Dryden had also departed, being replaced by Joey Covington. This was the first all new Airplane LP in two years, the previous being Volunteers, released in 1969. It was also the first to be released under the Jefferson Airplane owned Grunt Records label. Lead guitarist Jorma Kaukonen has four songwriting credits on this album, indicative of his growing importance as a composer. At the time of the album's release, he and bassist Jack Casady had already recorded two albums for their spin-off blues group Hot Tuna. The album was a success upon its release, reaching #11 on the charts and eventually went gold.

This album "FAMILY - A Song For Me" The album was recorded late 1969 in Olympic Studios in London. It was their first album with new members John Weider on bass and Poli Palmer on keyboards, flute and vibraphone. The past several months had been full of setbacks for Family, with Grech having left for Blind Faith, King forced to leave for getting too deep into drug addiction, and their first U.S. tour having proved a disaster.

Although many of the songs had been written with King's saxophone in mind, Charlie Whitney and Roger Chapman were able to rework them with Palmer's instruments, and Palmer quickly made himself integral to Family's sound. This album "DOORS - Absolutely Live" is the first live album released by American rock band The Doors in July 1970. Many shows were recorded during the 1970 tour to create the "Absolutely Live" album. T

The Doors producer, and long time collaborator Paul Rothchild painstakingly edited the album from many different shows to create one cohesive concert. For example, the best part of a song from the Detroit show may have been spliced together with another part of the same song from the Boston show, again trying to create "the ultimate concert". It can become very difficult to identify what parts are from what shows. Rothchild has said "I couldn't get complete takes of a lot of songs, so sometimes I'd cut from Detroit to Philadelph
