Alabama Senator Cam
The Podcast returns with Senator Cam Ward and an update of the upcoming Alabama Senate Session. Yes, he has moved up to Senator since the last podcast and he still is open to podcasting in the little town of Helena.

He had just completed a speech to the Helena Kiwanis and an interview with NPR for WBHM about the situation with Alabama Prisons. I took some notes from earlier so you will hear pauses while we drink coffee and I read my notes to make sure I hit all the topics. Sorry, I forgot to ask about internet taxes for Henry.

We recorded this in La Reunion Coffee House in Old Town Helena, AL. My only regret is that I didn't keep recording while he related a funny story of being in the same hotel with the hockey player of the same name.

Double interview with Joy Childers who talks about the flags over Helena, Sonic and what celebrity will be at the Christmas Parade. We then get to talk Ken Penhale who knows more about Helena history than anyone on the planet. He tells us about the 1933 disaster that almost ended Helena.

A few notes: Ken's interview sounds 'tinny' because I had the mike too far away and had to compensate. Also I didnt laugh at the part about the person's arm getting torn off, I was just surprised because we were talking about property damage. I felt bad afterwards.
