Este año el invierno se ha retrasado más que nunca.  El Black Friday (viernes negro) tiene lugar un día después del día de “Acción de gracias”, que se celebra el cuarto jueves del mes de noviembre.

Es el día en el que se da comienzo a la temporada de compras navideñas en Estados Unidos y cuya tradición, se ha trasladado a países como Brasil, Méjico o España.

El origen del Black Friday es algo confuso. Algunos, atribuyen el nombre a que durante el año había tiendas que acumulaban pérdidas (números rojos) y que a partir de este día, comenzaba la mejor época de los comercios: la Navidad, que deja tras de sí cuentas positivas (números negros). Otros, sin embargo, aseguran que el adjetivo “negro” hacía referencia a la crisis de la Bolsa de Valores del siglo XIX. En incluso los hay, que afirman que tiene su origen en el 19 de noviembre de 1975, cuando el periódico The New York Times utilizó por primera vez el epíteto haciendo alusión al desbarajuste del tránsito y el caos que se habían producido aquel año en la ciudad, debido a los descuentos del día posterior a “Acción de gracias”.

The Universal Children’s Day takes place on November 20th, and for this year we are planning something special. For some months now, TRUCCO collaborates with Fundación Madrina donating women’s clothes, school materials, organizing benefic contests… projects which aim is to help impoverished mothers and children to afford a bright future.

This time, we have designed a t-shirt whose benefits will be donated to support the “Entre Hilos y Telas” workshop, managed by the foundation.

This course seeks to help mums and children affected by social inequality to a dignified life. The cosiest knitwear at TRUCCO!

November has brought the cold and grey drizzle with it… If you still haven’t got used to the idea that the cold and grey rainy days are here for a few months now, we’ve got a selection of clothes for women that will put an end to the long faces seen this month. La semana pasada te presentábamos a Nicolas Vaudelet y su trayectoria como diseñador de ropa de mujer. Hoy te mostramos cómo fue la sesión de fotos de su última colección diseñada en exclusiva para TRUCCO.

Diez de la mañana en Madrid. Todo está prácticamente listo para empezar el shooting. La joven modelo de origen alemán Leni Rabbel, acude a la cita a la hora en punto con el pelo mojado, cara lavada, unos short deshilachados y un crop top. Está tranquila y tiene muchas ganas de empezar a maquillarse. Nicolas en el vestuario, observa cuidadoso una vez más, que la colección Kiss Kiss está en perfecto estado para comenzar el trabajo. El equipo de fotografía de Bela Adler revisa los detalles para que la luz y el escenario sean los adecuados, y una hora más tarde ¡comienza el espectáculo!

Empezamos la sesión con el look de la camisa de los labios con lazada al cuello y espalda al aire.  Entre look y look para romper un poco el hielo, invitamos a Nicolás a que se coloque con la modelo para hacer unas cuantas fotos de “la musa y el diseñador”. Nicolás lleva primero unos  vaqueros y una camisa blanca impecable y luego una camisa vaquera a la que añade el broche de labios mientras fuma de su habitual pipa. El día transcurre con fluidez  en un ambiente de diversión y profesionalidad absoluto. Fotógrafa y modelo se entienden a la perfección y eso queda plasmado en toda la sesión.

Kiss Kiss collection shooting

Last week we presented you to Nicolas Vaudelet and his journey as a womenswear fashion designer. Today, we want to show you a glimpse of the shooting from his latest collection designed exclusively for TRUCCO.

Ten in the morning in Madrid. Everything is almost ready to start the shooting. The young German model Leni Rabbel, walks in on time with wet hair, a washed face, a pair of frayed shorts and a crop top. She is relaxed and eager to start with her makeup. Nicolas is in the cloakroom, once again, carefully observing that the Kiss Kiss collection is in perfect condition before getting to work. The photography team of Bela Adler checks through the details to ensure that the lighting and stage are adequate, and an hour later the show begins!

We start off the session with the first outfit of the collection, a blouse with printed lips and a bow tie on the neck with a cowl opening on the back. Whilst we moved from one look to another, we would go on to break the ice, and invited Nicolas to go up and click a few pictures with the model, “the muse and the designer”. Nicolas wears a pair of jeans and an impeccably clean white shirt and a denim overshirt on which he clips on the signature lip brooch whilst smoking his pipe. The day flows and passes by in a fun and absolutely professional ambience. The photographer and the model understand each other perfectly and that is reflected throughout the session.
