While I was surfing on the internet I found a cool wesite 3DTotal where there are a lot of pictures, tutorials of 3D artist that use 3D design software like Maya, 3D Studio Max, and besides them ... After effects, Photoshop, Mental Ray, Zbrush and so on. It is amazing how we have advanced so much in technology that even a 3D picture can feel so real as if it was taken with a Camera. I Love 3D, most of it the designing, even though I know a little 3D max, I know Photoshop but these people are really amazing at it .. they are their PROs.

How to add FavIcon to Blogger

Adding a favicon to your blog or website is very easy but also very important for completing your blog design and creating a blog with full identity. For those who don't know what's a favicon, it is the small icon, usually 16x16 pixels, that appears at the URL toolbar and the particular tabs of the Web Browser, which icon is associated with a website.

Read this definiton by Wikipedia:

"A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a website icon, shortcut icon, url icon, or bookmark icon is a 16×16, 32×32 or 64×64 pixel square icon associated with a particular website or webpage."

Lets see how can we add our favicon on Blogger/Blogspot?!

Of course, first we have to design our favicon and turn it on 16x16 or 32x32 pixel icon. Or simply if you already have logo for your blog or website, you can turn it into the above mentioned format. If you want to do it quickly, I suggest you to do your favicon online by visiting www.favicon.cc. There you can draw quickly a favicon or just simply by importing image and adapting it to a fav icon for your blog.
Now go to Layout and Edit HTML, select the Expand Widget Templates, press CTRL + F and find this code:

And then add the following code right after the above given code

Then just replace the text FAVICON IMAGE URL HERE with the original url of your favicon, press save template and then refresh to see the favicon on the browser.

How to make Linux Setup run from USB in Windows

Greetings to all. We haven't posted in a long time since we have had some other obligations and I thought it would be good to have a tutorial how to make Linux Setup boot from a USB stick, since i posted earlier how to make Windows Setup boot and install from a USB Stick. It comes handy with the new laptops since they don't have a CD-ROM device so you just do it in a USB STICK and install it in any device you want, that certainly has the option to make a USB Device Bootable from BIOS. There are more softwares to make linux setup bootable in a usb stick but I have used 2 of them, the 2 that I will tell you how the procedure goes with photos.
Ok let's get started.
The first software I used was LiveUSB Creator that is a setup that first you need to install and then just start the software and get to work. If you want to visit the link to the website where it desvcribes the features of the program click here but instead if you want to jump all that boring stuff and get to work ASAP I have put a direct link to DOWNLOAD the software. Just click on DOWNLOAD, save it or just run it its your choice, allthough I would say you better save it somewhere because when you open a file it goes to the temporary folder and stays there for some time. But if you save it, you also know where your setup is and if one of your fellows ask you to give the LiveUSB Creator, you know where to find it.
Anyway that too much talk, let's start. After you install the program just go Start->(All) Programs-> LiveUSB Creator and open LiveUSB Creator and you will get this:

It is too easy to work with. Even though it writes Fedora LiveUSB Creator it works with all Linux versions. I have tried it with EdUbuntu and it worked Perfectly. The good feature of the sotware is that it recognizes ISO files, so you just go download a linux setup from the linux servers, just search in google Linux setup any linux setup you want you will get the links, direc links since linux is free for all. So you just Click on Browse point to the ISO file that contains the Linux Setup Disk, choose your target device and leave the persistent storage at 0 Mb. The next step is just to click on Create Live USB and wait. When its done, close the program and you are ready to install Linux from USB Flash Drive.
But instead if you don't know or don't have the Fedora Live CD .. the software can download it for you and make the LiveUSB Stick for you. You just select your USB device in the Target Device section and just click on Create Live USB ... The program will download the Fedora you chose from the dropdown list from the Download Fedora Section and automaticly make the LiveUSB for you.

The other software I used was USB Installer for Ubuntu actually now it is called Universal usb installer. Anyway the second one is a little more complicated but also as the first one it has the dropdown menu to mostly all newer versions of linux operations systems and it doesn't need to be installed like the first one.
If you want to read more and look at the website where this program was published, freely click here. But intead if you want to skip all this and start to DOWNLOAD the program click on download. After you download just open the program. Press I agree in the first screen and after that you will get this :

You have 3 steps to start the creation of the LiveUSB Disk. The first step is to select what kind of linux will the ISO be. Just lick on the dropdown list and select it.

As you can see I have selected the Ubuntu 10.4 Desktop, but it also has one version before this the 9.10. If you noticed there is a Download the ISO (Optional) checkbox that you can check where a small windows will pop up asking you Do you want to Launch the Download link. If you click on yes the download will start on your DEFAULT WEB BROWSER not as in the other program that started in the program then finished the work without any links and stuff. So you wait for the ISO file to be downloaded then in the step 2 you piont the program to that file you downloaded. You click on Brose and select the downlaoded ISO. After you do that instead of the red text that says Browse to your ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso --> you wil get a green text of the location where your iso file is. like in this picture below, and you are ready to select your USB device and start the creation of the USBLive disk.

Step 3 is selecting your device where you want your Linux to be put. In this case in my computer it is L:\ the drive letter of my USB Stick so you select the letter of your usb stick that is in assigned in your computer. Recommended is to format your USB Drive but you can also leave it unformmated it doesnt make any difference.
And Step 4 and the last is persistance leave it in No Persistance and just click Create. And after the process finishes your USB flash disk will be ready to install Linux .. just make sure in your 1rst Boot that you have the USB drive from BIOS ... and get started. IT IS THE SAME AS YOU HAVE PUT THE LIVE CD IN YOUR CD-ROM DRIVE.

How to remove a Dual Boot sequence in Windows XP?!

This trick is very useful if you run more then one OS in your computer. When you start your computer, you have to select the OS that you wanna. But when you don't need one of these OS that you have installed before, you delete them, but the boot sequence still appears at the beginning so everytime you have to select the default OS to start and that's pretty annoying. So in this tutorial I'm going to show how you can remove the dual boot sequence in a few simple steps.

Let's start:

Go to My Computer and click the right mouse button and select Properties.

Select the Advanced tab and click Settings at the Startup and Recovery section

At the System startup section click the Edit button

After clicking the Edit button, will appear the Boot.ini text file where you can make the modifications. In the picture below, you can notice that there are two OS, "Microsoft Windows Professional" and "Microsoft Windows 2000". In this case we are going to remove the Windows 2000 sequence, so just select the text(see the picture), delete it and save the document. You are done.

Important: With this method you are not removing the operating system from your computer, so after you have done this steps, go to your hard drive and delete the operating system folder.

How to make colored text box?! Costumize your text box!

The text boxes in your blog is very important to match them with your blog design. Coloring your text box and customizing some of his properties would make your text box to suite better in your blog, especially the text box from your Email Subscription Form.

Find the Text Box properties section (if you cannot find it, just search for input onfocus)

First thing that you have to do is to open the web page.

- click at “Get Tags”
- after this your tags will be shown in several other squares

- You can add your tags manually, all you have to do is to write your tag and the URL where the tag should open.

How to add Recent Posts widget in Blogger?!

In this tutorial I will show the way how to add a Recent Post widget directly from your blogger account. Its the easiest way and very functional, no errors at all. So lets go.

Complete the following steps:

Login to your Blogger account
Go to Layout and click Add a Gadget, from the shown list find and click to Feed.

Enter your Feed URL as is it shown in the picture below and click Continue.

In the new window, you can make your preferences about the widget, modify the number of posts shown in the widget, showing the date and the author of the post.

After the setup just click Save to complete the installation of the widget. Enjoy

Windows Setup From USB, how to install Windows Bootable Setup in a USB STICK

In this Tutorial I will show you how to make a bootable usb stick with a Windows Xp Setup on it that in a PC that has the "Boot from usb" feature can install the windows from the USB Stick. The software that I will be using is called WinSetupFromUSB which links from where to download I`ll show u a little later. There have been a lot of things I have tried to make a USB stick like a Windows Bottable CD and I`ve searched a lot in the internet but this one made me my day when I found it after 2 days of search. One of my friends had a lap-top that was without a CD/DVD-ROM wich came with an installed Operating system Linux Ubuntu which is not used here and few people know how to work with it.

Now enough talking let`s get to work.

First of all to start, you will need a windows xp setup extracted or copied on ur local drive where the I386 folder is located. You can do it straight from the CD, but with the setup copied on your Hard-Drive it will be faster then from the CD.
Next Step is to click on the First Browse button that I have circled or squared in this situation you can say as you want to locate and tell the sotfware where the folder that has the windows setup is.
After you have located the folder with the Windows 2000/XP/Vista setup on it, comes the part of USB stick formatting if it`s not formatted.
In the USB disk selection section there must stand a usb stick whatever it is in your PC like E:\, F:\, G:\ so one so fourth wich will show u that the software can start the progress. If it says "No USB Disk Detected or not properly formatted" then you will have to format the USB stick with the HP Format TooL.
HP Format Tool looks like this as shown in the picture. The divice you`ll want to format will be listed and you`ll have to select File System that might be FAT32 or NTFS depends on the USB stick type you use. And for faster format a.k.a. known as Quick Format you will have to check the Quick format and click start, and after a few seconds the dialog box that tells you the format was complete will show.
After this there is not much left. you won`t need any other things to check or touch in the software just click on the GO! button and the copying will start. You wait until it is finished, restart your PC, make your USB first Boot and the setup will start. The setup has 2 phazes same like installing from USB .. first the first part and secondly the second part that will show on the screen if u dont want to touch anything just wait until it continues itself.

P.S. Don`t Forget if u have a Windows that needs a CD-KEY while installing, write it somewhere so u wont need to start your pc again write the code and then again to continue the installation :) Just a reminder

How to remove the Recycle Bin from your Desktop in Windows XP?

The Recycle Bin icon is the only icon that you can not remove from your XP desktop, as you can do that with My Computer, My Documents and other icons that are associated with the Desktop. To delete the My Computer you have to press just SHIFT+DELand its done and if you want to restore it, just go to the Desktop Properties, select the desktop tab then click Costumize Desktop and at the Desktop Icons section select My Computer (see in the picture below).

Let's go back now at our aim, to remove the Recycle Bin icon from our desktop. To do that, follow this steps

Go to Start --> Run and type regedit and the Registry Editor window will appear

Follow the adress below and you have to arrive at the point as it is shown in the picture

After locating the directory (see the picture) named

{645FF040-5081-101B-9F0800AA002F954E}, just delete it and you are done.

LinkWithin Related Posts Widget with Photo Thumbnails For Blogger

LinkWithin is a widget with photo thumbnails that links to related stories from your archive under each story on your blog. This widget appears in the end of each post, displaying minimally styled photo thumbnails that are very suitable with your blog or site design.

How to install LinkWithin in you blog?!

Go to LinkWithin.com
In the right side you can see the box, where you will put your email, URL and from the dropdown menu, you will select the platform of your blog (Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad) and click Get Widget.
Then will appear a new page, where you can find tutorial for further installation steps.
Press the Install Widget Button, which will redirect you to your blogger account, where you will be asked about adding your widget in you blog. If you have more than one blog, select from the dropdown menu the blog where do you want to add LinkWithin, put the title and press Add Widget.

For now, we are done.

But, if you use Read More feature for your posts in Blogger, than you need a different way to installing the LinkWithin Widget because with the method discribed above, the LinkWithin will appear in each post without opening the rest of your post with Read More.

So lets see what should we do.

Go to LinkWithin.com
In the right side you can see the box, where you will put your email, URL and from the dropdown menu, you will select the platform of your blog (Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad) and click Get Widget.
Then will appear a new page, where you can find tutorial for further installation steps.
Press the Install Widget Button and after redirecting in Blogger, do not press the Add Widget button, but click Edit Content (see the picture below) and you will see the code where you you can see the LinkWithin Site ID. Copy and save it cuz we gonna need it later.

Wordle Label Cloud Widget for your Blog

For me this is one of the coolest “Tag Cloud” or “Label Cloud” widgets amoung the bloggers, designed by Jonathan Feinberg. With very unique, artistic and creative design, it fits very good in every blog, by making real time changes and redesign the Wordle Widget, such as the layout, fonts, color scheme and languages.

How to install Wordle?!

Go to Wordle.net/create and paste your website/blog URL, click submit and in few seconds the Wordle Label Cloud widget will appear.
Then just press the Save to public gallery button and a dialog box will appear asking for Title and Username but nevermind, you can leave it as Anonymous by pressing OK and finally you will have your code.
Login to your blogger account, go to Page Elements then Add a Gadget, paste the code and click Save. You are done.

Enjoy the new widget!

How to put a Music Playlist in your Website/Blog

This is a nice Widget that I discovered a time ago, and I wanted to share it with you. The widget is that you can put a playlist in your website/blog so people can listen music from your page.

On of the Advantages of this Widget is that if you have the direct link to the song you can enter the link in the menu that I will describe later in this post and than the song is in your playlist.
The other advantage is that it has a customisable surface in aspect of the Color ...
One disadvantage is that you cant put unlimited songs on your Playlist. You are limited to 100 Songs.

So here we go:
First that you need to do is to go and Create an account at playlist.com and then log in to your account. After you log in go to My playlist section and then click on the Create a New Playlist section, so you will get this screen:

Add your title and Description of your playlist, write whatever you want, and click on the Submit button. After that click on the Click here to view your playlists, and you will see your playlist appearing. Click on the playlist name to start editing your playlist. You will get this screen:

Now Click on the Manage Songs Section to start adding or editing your songs on the Playlist. Then go to Search for music and Type in the artist name or title of a soing of both if you want and click Search. You will get the results of your searching.
To add a Song to your Playlist Click on the PLUS icon on the song and to hear the song lick on the PLAY button.It looks like this:

If you want you can change the order or your songs wich one you wanna stay the first, second, so one so fourth. To do that go to the Manage Songs section and you will get your songs how are they ordered. To change the order just drag the songs and put where you want to put them. It that simple. :)

That`s it. So after you have finished adding the song you want you are ready to put the code of the playlist on your page.By default the playlist colour is Black. The Autostart option is On and the Random/Shuffle option os Off. If you want to change it go on the View Songs section of your playlist and then on then click on Generate Code.

After that click on the Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website. Then click on your Playlist. Choose your options and click on the Get Code button. After you get the Code you can copy and paste it on your website and Place it wherever you want.
