Images and Files are the same

We are convinced that simplicity and resulting efficiency comes from the "little details". A concrete example is the consolidation of adding files and images: From tomorrow on, you can just add files (see below). If you want to display the image directly in the Bloc, you can switch later at any time.

Who Uploaded the File again?

Have you ever wondered, who uploaded a file? Or you do not want to download the file if it is bigger than 15MB? Maybe the day when the file was uploaded would have helped you? If your answer is yes, this update of BlocStac is for you. When you hover over a file, it shows now exactly this information.

We worked hard in the engine room of BlocStac and are happy to announce that you profit of 30% more storage! In fact, most customers gain much more than 30% in space because we can compress their content even better.

This storage gain comes for free and as a bonus, saving files, images or ToDos has also become faster! We run the update over this weekend and on Monday, you are going to see a significant increase of your available storage.

Update: We did some statistics after the update and found that almost all customers saved 60% and more!

All Blocs at a glance

You can see now all small Blocs at the bottom at a glance. The image below shows an example when there are two rows of small Blocs.

We have applied some more of such minor improvements. For example, launching BlocStac is faster: Loading the initial Bloc takes less time now.

Move or Copy your Files, ToDos, ...

You already know how to move and copy Blocs around. As you can see in the video below, it is now as easy to move Files, ToDos, Text, etc around.

Todays update also lets you move up to 3 Blocs at the same time. This obviously also applies to moving and copying Files, ToDos and friends.

Knowing what's going on: comprehensive Email updates

Every user can sign up for email updates. They arrive either hourly or daily. Before Tuesday, only updates of Blocs have been included in the mails. But since, comments and messages from the blue list are also listed in the email:

Search and Find

If you want to know where the wine grape "Pinot" hides in your BlocStac, you can discover it with a simple search:

The results include now comments or direct messages from the blue list.

What is also new that, when you go to the Bloc, the search result is highlighted. In our example with the wine grape "Pinot", the word is found in the file "Wine_list.xls":

Add 10 files in 1 go

"Can I select several files and upload them all in one go?" is a frequent question on support@blocstac.com. Sure, you can! Use the SHIFT-button or CTRL-button when selecting files as shown below. Once you save the Bloc, you can watch how each file is saved on the server.

Editing: One after another

Up to now, "Christa" and "Toni" could edit the Bloc "Marketing Plan" at the same time. While this worked just fine when they changed different parts of a Bloc, it was not clear what should be saved when for example the same sentence changed.

Starting from today, BlocStac allows only one user to edit a Bloc: While "Christa" edits the Bloc "Marketing Plan", "Toni" has to wait for "Christa" saving her changes. If "Toni" clicks on edit, he gets the information below:
