Pablo Gomez aka GOZii is a fresh new producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, my future home and BigStereo south office. He is the frontman of electro-rock band Polen and is now playing the solo game. GOZii is the last artist that became a member of LARESISFUCKEDUP CREW, a group of Djs, Vjs, producers, and photographers that promote their own parties in Buenos Aires that are really pushing the envelope down there and have their hands full of kids that know how to get the party started and going ’til the sun comes up. Gozii’s first EP called “GOZii Music” can be bought here. Thankfully he was willing to give out this stand out track to our readers for free. Ke$ha has been controversy ever since word spread. Being the highlight of much criticism for obvious Uffie rips and for being a young girl in the LA scene, she seems like she’d be having it tough. Her song “Tik Tok” though can be heard at various parties, and honestly frat jocks and horny girls can’t seem to stop requesting it. Although the dollar sign in her name is a bit much and her tiny shorts and cowboy boots remind us of a girl playing dress up, you can’t deny the fact that this girl is going to be around for a bit, like it or not. LA has proven time and time again that anyone can make it, original or not, all you need is someone to back you up and you can make it in. The culture there is not so much on being original but on fitting in, and it spreads to the rest of the nation, and it can’t be put aside.

I can honestly say I am not a big fan of this or what happens in the crotch of California, but I just can’t ignore what is happening in the music sphere. All these girls talking about getting ridiculously wasted, spending lots of money on clothes, partying, and taking off their panties should learn a lesson from the queen of it all Lil’ Kim and eventually cover it up and call it a day. Either that or they can take a lesson from the other queen on the other side of the spectrum Peaches, and just get raunchier and raunchier. As long as they step it up it’s game. As a friend also pointed out Dirt Nasty(aka Simon Rex(aka jerk off porn rapper)) is in the video for this track, and although him and his too old for college party boyfriends that embrace white boy rapping fame in Los Angeles do have careers in rapping, no one really knows if it’s all parody or serious. Either way they know they can make a few easy dollars prostituting themselves to the culture in America that will pay for anything that “kicks ass” or “makes a pussy wet”.

Here for listen is a remix done by none other than Skeet Skeet himself, one of the few people in LA that make me love that city that you can’t deny embraces anyone and anything as long as you have a backbone. Oh and they have amazing sunsets and rooftop parties. I know there is definitely a movement to make LA cool again, it’s happening on a smaller level, let’s keep pushing.

Luca C. & Brigante are the latest to make over Ali Love’s “Diminishing Returns” — we’ve been going gaga over this track for a while now and one more remix certainly is going to fuel our obsession. The interesting tidbit is Luca C. has helped pen some of Ali Love’s new album, so this is a bit of an inside look on the track. In this case, the vocals become a filtered backdrop for an excellent instrumental:

Give Is Tropical’s “When O’ When” a couple minutes to heat up… and then feel uncomfortable. This track heads in a few different direction but never loses its raw pop roots. Reminds me of a mix between Test Icicles and the Klaxons.

The guys over at Canadian record label YYZ have sent across some of their latest offerings. “Iron Ways” by Toronto band Madrid is a nice dreamy synthetic summer jam, and Xl’s remix gets down, dark and dub step quite the contrast but both unique.

Fan Death released a new (creepy) video for “Cannibal” (mp3 here). The track will be on Fan Death’s forthcoming new “A Coin For The Well” EP out on Pharmacy Recording Co or on 12 inch from Big Love.

We all fell in love with Lauren Flax’s “You’ve Changed” well over a year ago… Well Sia, who did the vocals on the original, liked the tune so much that she gave it a full makeover for her upcoming new album and tweeted the new version today. While Lauren Flax’s original was stripped down, Sia’s remake is totally dressed up and funky. And with Greg Kursten on production duty, it’s pretty hard for any wrong to be done…

San Francisco’s very own Tempo No Tempo has been stuck in my head lately. Bringing back post punk simplicity and edge these guys will get you doing dance moves you haven’t seen since ‘98. They get me nostalgic and have me wanting to get the cowbell out of the closet and tambourine off the shelf, let me just dust them off first, ok I’m ready to get my white indie boy dance on.

On this track “Get Down Stay Down” they have me wanting to do quite the opposite. Dirty guitars, heavy bass, jazz punk drums, and vintage synths along with the wails of a boy in pain who can’t do anything but sing until he passes out. New classic.

Kap Bambino is on tour and they’re making the rounds with their punk rock attitude and electro stomping beats. I really wish I could see them tear each cities heart out but unfortunately they aren’t coming to me, so get in gear and don’t miss it.

“Little Secrets” might be Passion Pit’s most infectious tune. You’d have to have a heart that has turned black from hate to not be smiling along to this one. Of course, children’s choirs always make everything better and is enough to brighten the darkest day. Emedding is disabled on the video so you will have to click through.

Steed Lord has followed up Truth Serum with The Truth Serum Remix Project which, as the name suggests, is a remix album of their debut. One of the standout remixes comes from Russ Chimes who gets his hands dirty with “Remember Me.” The end product sounds like Stevie Nicks on a Crystal Waters track with Russ Chimes signature layered synth as a backdrop. Anyway, cut to the chase — here is the internet premiere for your ears:

After introducing the world to Monarchy last month, the boys are back with a remix by Diamond Cut of their blog hit, “Gold In The Fire”. Diamond Cut certainly places emphasis on the best parts of the original in this remix and plays off them creating something a bit more dance floor friendly. But as great as it is, I kinda almost didn’t want to post this remix because I’m more curious to hear more originals from Monarchy rather than remixes of one stellar track. Are they resting on their laurels or do they have more up their sleeve? Time will tell… until then we’ll help keep the ball rolling with this remix:

Duo So I’m Jo is made up of 2 fresh faced lads from Sydney, Australia. They make soothing synthetic tunes part disco, part electro, part fun.
