A promise isn’t a promise in the Big Brother house, it’s just something you can say but not really mean, right? Look, all is fair in love and Big Brother so HGs are going to do what they’ve got to do but it can still be fun for us to watch.

During the HOH competition we saw Haley needlessly promise both Yash and Lyric safety this week. Turns out what Haley meant was, “just kidding,” because when Haley’s main target Taylor got her hands on that Veto it was time for a new plan. And this time Haley wasn’t going to be some generous with Lyric.

Lyric did what she could since Saturday and it got a little messy when she couldn’t keep her stories straight, but they mostly involved Mallory being the real threat to Haley. Did it work? Nope! Not at all. Haley was even telling Lyric to stop betraying her few remaining allies because she was going to need that support later.

Power of Veto Ceremony Spoilers – Week 4

The target here is Drew and hopefully he knows it, but he’s also so “sunshine and rainbows” that he might believe the smoke and mirrors that he’s just there as a pawn. He’d be in a better spot if it hadn’t been for Taylor winning that Veto! Better get ready for the Block Buster because that looks like his only shot at redemption this week.

It is Veto Ceremony Day inside the Big Brother 28 house! The Nomination Ceremony and Veto Competition have taken place, and now it’s time to find out what will happen at the Veto Ceremony for Week 4 of Big Brother. Which Big Brother houseguests will have to battle it out in the BB Blockbuster? Read on to find out!

As we saw on Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother, Haley won the Head of Household for Week 4 and nominated Taylor, Melody, and Drew for eviction. She told everyone she really didn’t have a solid target in mind. However, based on her conversations with her allies, she seems pretty set on seeing Melody go this week.

Before the Veto Competition, Melody and Mallory agreed that the worst-case scenario for their group was if Taylor won the Power of Veto this week because it seemed like Barrett was the renom option. Well, their worst possible outcome came to fruition, and Taylor won the golden Power of Veto.

However, it seems like the renom option has changed slightly. Based on talks inside the house, it doesn’t sound like Barrett will be sitting next to Drew and Melody after Monday’s Veto Ceremony. Haley has had multiple conversations with her allies about wanting to put Lyric on the block in Taylor’s place. She got some pushback from Kamu, but after multiple arguments between the two of them, he seems to have realized she is not changing her mind.

Throughout the evening on Sunday, Haley was back and forth on whether or not she was going to tell Lyric Sunday night or Monday morning before the Veto Ceremony that she was the renom. Sunday night, Haley had a conversation with Lyric and did not mention that Lyric would be going up in Taylor’s place. However, we could expect to see that conversation sometime before this ceremony takes place.

It’s only Week 4 of Big Brother 28 and Lyric has now reached the “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” phase of her game. That’s not a good sign for a Houseguest’s longevity in the Big Brother House and overnight Lyric was giving it her all, but I don’t think this is going to work for her.

After a day’s discussion Haley settled on her plan to renom Lyric, but she presented the idea as it being either Mallory or Lyric for that empty seat. Really the Mallory bit seemed a play to make an exchange with Mallory and it was always going to be Lyric. Especially after Kamu started pushing on Saturday night to keep Lyric safe. Feels like Haley isn’t handling too well the competition for the men’s gaze and Kamu leaning so heavily in for Lyric frustrated Haley.

Lyric spent Sunday looking for confirmation that she was in trouble but even her former close allies of Mallory and Melody were passing her false assurances. So after talks with Haley fell apart Lyric went to her Plan C(huk).

Overnight Lyric spent close to TWO hours late last night working on convincing Chuk that he could and should save her from becoming the renom. I get it though, because this would be Lyric’s third straight week on the Block, dodging the danger zone only in the first week.

Earlier in the night Lyric told Kamu that Mallory would be coming for Chuk, Kamu, and LaLa with the renom of Dee, but here in her talks with Chuk she tells him that Mallory would be going after Haley, Kamu, and Chuk. She’s trying everything she can to get Haley to look at Mallory a second time and wants Chuk to take this information back to Haley. Their talk eventually wrapped up and Chuk says they have until 2PM on Monday (close enough, but it’ll be closer to noon) and he’ll see what he can do to influence Haley.

But really, Chuk doesn’t have the power Lyric thinks she does. Haley didn’t listen to Kamu when he tried to push for saving Lyric and really it only upset Haley and possibly pushed them apart a bit. Now Chuk has promised he’ll go to Haley and have the same talk? That won’t go well for Chuk and Haley could start to feel a scramble if she has her two closest allies making heart-eyes at Lyric and trying to save her.

I can’t fault Lyric for making these efforts and it’s always better to campaign and fight than to go take a nap instead. But her method hasn’t been great and she’s not keeping her stories straight. There’s a good chance Lyric will be okay this week even after she gets renom’d, but she is more and more ending up on an island. Mallory and Melody have pushed her away and she isn’t close with the other side. Kamu and Chuk both seem to want to align with her, but that won’t sync with their stronger allies so it seems limited.

We’ll be watching to see what happens on Monday as the HGs wake up and get ready for the Veto meeting, but for now it does not look good for Lyric.

Sunday had some slow spots but the tension picked up as HOH Haley had to work on her renom plans and that meant going back on a promise. This one wasn’t going to happen without a little bit of a fight though from the renom target.

Lyric caught wind of what was coming up despite Mallory denying to Lyric what we knew to be true. Once Lyric understood her back was against the wall she didn’t waste anytime throwing her former allies under the Big Brother bus, just as Kamu recommended. Seems Kamu is keen to keep Lyric safe, but his “help” isn’t helping.

9:45 AM BBT – HGs got their wake-up call.

10:30 AM BBT – HGs lounging in the backyard for the morning.

10:35 AM BBT – Melody is giving herself a peptalk that she’s going to be sunshine and rainbows today.

11:15 AM BBT – Barrett gives Mallory a heads up that Haley wants to talk with her today as she tries to decide between her and Lyric as the renom. Barrett promises Lyric she’ll be safe if she goes up on the Block.

12:35 PM BBT – Angela lets LaLa know she seems to be safe this week and the renom decision is focused on two other HGs (Lyric and Mallory).

12:40 PM BBT – Melody tells Mallory she doesn’t trust Lyric as much anymore because of how quickly Lyric will turn on her allies. They discuss how Mallory should pitch it to Haley to not renom her and go with Lyric instead.

1:50 PM BBT – Kamu is with Dee and rehashing how Haley got upset at him last night because he had pushed to keep Lyric safe but says he was just trying to bring up points to consider.

2:30 PM BBT – General chatter around the house. Barrett and Drew are talking about shows and movies.

3:40 PM BBT – HGs have the phone/camera (it’s not enabled as a phone, just the camera part) and are recording clips and taking pictures around the house. (This is then used by Big Brother for social media content.)

4:30 PM BBT – Mallory talks with Lyric about their renom situation. Mallory has denied hearing anything about Lyric going up (Mallory knows, but isn’t sharing that info). Mallory says it would be Drew who goes home after the Block Buster. They think Melody would be safe.

5:45 PM BBT – Angela and Devens share their thoughts on how the Vets are doing right now. Devens thinks they’re in a great position. Angela is worried about who comes after them first. Devens thinks his closeness with Barrett, Drew, and Yash will help them. Angela says they have to be ready to deny the existence of the Crossover if Drew tries to spill that news after the vote. Angela is very worried about Drew blowing up their games.

5:50 PM BBT – Devens suggests Angela spend less time at the HOH room because her frequent trips are noticeable.

6:25 PM BBT – Haley lets LaLa know she’s safe from the renom consideration. Haley wants to know who LaLa would nominate next week. LaLa gives her easy answers of Drew, Barrett, and Mallory. Haley says she still wants Drew out this week.

7:05 PM BBT – Drew talks with Devens about putting Haley on the Block then he’d renom Chuk so those two are on the Block together.

7:10 PM BBT – Mallory meets with Haley. Haley wants Mallory to tell her who to renom but Mallory asks who is Haley’s goal to evict: Drew or Melody. Haley won’t answer and says she wants Mallory’s input first.

7:15 PM BBT – Haley finally makes the safety deal with Mallory she had discussed offering. Both agree to keep the other safe.

7:40 PM BBT – Barrett tells Mallory he thinks the most obvious HGs (the Vets) got the powers so far and expects that was the intent in how it was designed (to add safety for production’s stunt casting).

7:50 PM BBT – Haley, Barrett, and Mallory are outside talking. Barrett wants to know who is the target this week, but Haley isn’t providing any info.

8:20 PM BBT – Lyric joins Mallory and Melody at the hammock. Lyric asks if Haley has been floating her name as the renom, but Mallory denies hearing anything on that.

8:25 PM BBT – Upstairs Haley tells Kamu that she didn’t like how he was fighting to protect Lyric yesterday and how Lyric can’t be trusted.

10:20 PM BBT – Chuk tells Lyric he didn’t get the power but is going to figure out who has it.

10:50 PM BBT – Haley slips and tells Drew that Melody is going to miss him. Drew panics. Haley tries to backtrack saying she meant when Melody is gone then she’ll miss Drew.

11:20 PM BBT – Lyric is upset after talking with Haley and getting the feeling she’s going up. Yash encourages Lyric to try again tomorrow by telling Haley that she promised her safety (the scene we saw in Sunday’s episode) during the HOH comp and she trusts Haley will keep her word.

11:30 PM BBT – Chuk goes to talk with Haley about the upcoming renom. Chuk says Lyric is still seen as connected to Rome’s game.

11:45 PM BBT – Haley says she’ll tell Lyric that she has shown she’s a strong competitor and can win her safety again with the Block Buster.

11:50 PM BBT – Lyric tells Kamu that Mallory just tonight said she was going to nominate Kamu, Chuk, and LaLa then use Dee as a renom. Kamu wants Lyric to tell Haley this news.

12:05 AM BBT – Mallory gives Lyric a peptalk that she has the votes over Drew if it comes to that.

12:15 AM BBT – Kamu goes to tell Haley what Lyric just told him (that Mallory was going to target them). Haley doesn’t believe what Lyric told Kamu. Kamu thinks Haley should talk with Mallory.

12:20 AM BBT – Taylor talks with Haley and clear the air. Taylor shares how she didn’t trust Yash but now blames Drew for sowing those seeds of distrust. Haley confirms her plans to renom Lyric.

12:45 AM BBT – Downstairs Yash is coaching Lyric to go make a pitch to Haley to not become the renom. He warns her that yes, she is most likely going up.

12:50 AM BBT – Haley, Kamu, and Taylor all agree that Mallory is likely to have the latest power.

1:00 AM BBT – Haley tells Kamu she likes Taylor now because she was honest with her. And she definitely does not trust Lyric anymore.

1:15 AM BBT – Drew is planning a silly speech for the Veto meeting to ask Taylor to use the Veto on him instead (because he knows she wouldn’t, so he says this is pointless).

1:30 AM BBT – Lyric is working on Chuk for support with the vote. This turns into a very, very long conversation. Lyric goes on about her trusting Haley to honor her promise and not put her on the Block.

3:15 AM BBT – Chuk and Lyric are finally ending their talk and going to bed. Lyric was pleading with Chuk to use his influence with Haley to make sure she isn’t the renom. (I don’t think Chuk has that sort of power with Haley.)

Lyric is definitely in a bad spot and now looks to solidly be the renom plan for Haley despite Haley’s promise to keep Lyric safe. And see kids, this is why you don’t get caught up in the moment and offer blanket safety to others during the middle of an HOH competition like that. The Veto meeting is coming up on Monday afternoon and we can safely expect Lyric on the Block when Taylor saves herself.

Nothing says “new HOH” quite like banning your enemies from the snacks. The new Head of Household wastes no time making her intentions clear, and the game is officially on for the week.

Sunday night’s episode picks up right after Jason’s eviction, and we are reminded just how strong the Toolshed alliance is. Well, technically it is the Red Corner alliance now, since Drew and Barrett are on the outs.

Speaking of that alliance, we get a segment that paints Haley as quite the snarky houseguest. Melody is fed up with her and all of the comments Haley has been making. Meanwhile, Drew and Barrett continue to fall out of favor with the alliance. Devens realizes that Drew has become too much of a liability. That puts Drew in danger depending on who wins the next Head of Household competition, so let’s get to it.

For this week’s HOH competition, the houseguests have five minutes to examine six rooms for clues about Jack the Ripper. In each round, they receive a clue about where Jack is going to strike. The goal is to hide in a room that Jack is not visiting. Anyone hiding in the room Jack visits is “murdered” and eliminated from the competition.

Here’s how it plays out:

Round 1: Angela, Devens, Mallory, and LaTrice are eliminated.

Round 2: Melody, Drew, and Dee are eliminated.

Round 3: Chuk is eliminated.

Round 4: Barrett, Taylor, and Lyric are eliminated, leaving only Yash and Haley.

Round 5: Yash is eliminated, making Haley the new Head of Household.

Melody and Taylor are definitely not happy with those results. Dee and Devens, on the other hand, are thrilled because they are safe for a fourth straight week, and Devens gets to hold onto his Diamond Power of Veto. Drew feels safe, but he really should not.

We finally get our first “Who wants to see my HOH room?” segment of the season, and it does not disappoint. Instead of reading her letter right away, Haley tells everyone that her name has been dragged through the mud. She announces that if anyone has been talking smack about her, they should not come to her HOH room for snacks, showers, or anything else.

Shortly afterward, LaTrice goes to Haley in an attempt to throw Melody under the bus. Haley sees right through it and believes LaTrice is simply trying to save herself. Even so, it already seems like Haley has her mind made up about nominating Melody.

It is also time for the BB Time Capsule. Dee gets selected and wins a new power called the BB Bribe. It allows her to offer another houseguest $5,000 to do something of her choosing. Dee decides to keep the power a secret and does not even tell Devens.

Later, Melody and Haley sit down for a conversation. Melody admits that if she had won HOH, she would have nominated Haley. That confession pretty much seals Melody’s fate. The only question left is who will join her on the block.

At the nomination ceremony, Haley nominates Melody, Taylor, and Drew. She says that either Melody or Taylor leaving would benefit her game, while Drew is simply a pawn.

We’ve got your BB28 spoilers for the third round of the Time Capsule! Following Angela then Devens’s win of the viewer vote it was time for a third winner, but would it be another Vet or are the fans ready to spread the love and the power (or punishment)?

So far we’ve seen Angela as the Egg Detective and Devens with the Diamond Power of Veto which left five prizes and five punishments, though no prize remaining is anywhere as good as the Diamond DPOV! But some of these powers could still affect the game and shift things, maybe just a little but sometimes that’s enough.

We waited and watched to have the Feeds finally reveal but it didn’t happen and instead we had to dig for clues with some convincing events. After enough time on Friday afternoon and Saturday it seemed obvious that Drew had beat out Dee for the chair spin and with no apparent punishment it seemed clear he had won a prize. Then of course Drew made several references to “coin flip,” “takeover the HOH,” “I want my lucky coin,” and even “that game was a coin flip.” Was it the Coin of Destiny? We had to wait for the official results in Sunday’s episode…

It was NOT Drew! I was completely fooled by Dee when she told Devens she did not get it (and told Angela the same)

Big Brother 28 Round 3 Time Capsule:

• Dee won the vote
• …and won the challenge!
• Dee received the BB Bribe

Now that the Time Capsule results have been revealed we also know that it wasn’t played this round because it wasn’t played this round and Dee has denied it to everyone so far. We will have to see when and if she uses her BB Bribe power. The rules said it was good for the rest of the game, so no rush except you don’t want to go home with that power in your pocket!
