We would encourage you to come to one of our Sunday morning services at either 8:15am or 10:45am. We have something for everyone in your family.

You can find out more about our ministry by coming to “Meet the Pastors” (aka Party with the Pastors) after our 2nd morning service the first Sunday of each month. Starting Point is also a great way to see what our church is all about. These classes run frequently throughout the year.

what are small groups?

how is this accomplished?
Through two non-negotiables of any small group:

1) Mutual ministry to one another,

2) Multiplication of leadership

Through the development of quality disciples who exhibit the following characteristics: Faithfulness, abides in God’s Word, involved in reaching the lost, teachable, having a heart for God and God’s people

what do the small groups look like?
Connect: get connected to each other and God. Praise God for you presence in the group today!

Study: Bible study, discussion, testimonies, interaction. How does this truth apply to my life?

Mutual Ministry: accountability, sharing, prayer, and action plans. What did God do in my life this week?

Fellowship: informal, follow-up on each others lives. How can I be involved in your life this week?

FUEL Student Ministries is gearing up for their best ever ReFUEL Retreat this winter. Our theme for RR::2010 is inside the fire. You are aware that there are times of trial or testing for even just standing up for your faith at school or wherever. In Daniel 3:28 when king Nebuchadnezzar says,

“praised be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednago… who were willing to give up even their own lives rather than worship anyone but Him.”

These dudes were lights in their world and it is our choice to shine (or stand inside the fire) in such a way that others around us will say “praised be the God of [insert name] who will do anything for their God.”

What can I expect? Challenging speaker, meaningful worship, authentic fellowship, exciting activities (i.e. capture the flag, dodge ball, floor hockey), rest and relaxation, & much more.

How old do you have to be? You must be in 7-12^th Grade

Where is it? Camp Lutherhaven in Albion, IN

When is it? December 30-January 1

How will I get there? Battle Ground Bible Church will provide busing to and from the retreat center.

Survivor Men’s Retreat, “Out-Live, Out-Play, Outcome”

Don’t Give Up is a practical study through the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews is in many ways a difficult book, but it is one of the special gifts of God to His church. It is a gift to be appreciated especially when God’s people find themselves spiritually discouraged, distracted or apathetic.

All month, all missions. October is missions month and our theme this year, “God’s Ultimate Purpose: His Glory!” We will have missionaries with us from all over God’s globe. Make it a point to come and hear what God is doing all around the world in and through our ministry.

Help clothe the homeless of Lafayette. We are collecting new coats, gloves, hats and wool socks for LUM [Lafayette Urban Ministries]

We will also serve meals and interact with LUM residents October 29th.

Harvest of Blessings: ladies retreat [10.2.2009 // 6:00-10:00pm]

We will be meeting a Battle Ground Bible Church.  There is no expense for the retreat (that’s right it is FREE)!  Special guest Francie Bond of Bainbridge, IN. (near Crawfordsville) will be ministering through special music and sharing her life story.  A soup ‘n bread dinner beginning at 6:00pm followed by many harvests of blessings to be shared.

September 2nd both AWANA and FUEL student ministries kick off. Throughout the school year both of these ministries will be meeting at the church from 6:30-8:00PM. Transportation from Woods Edge is available by request of the church office (#567.2844 / sec@bgbc.org). Come join in on the fun!!
