In a statement, the magazine said: “We do have serious doubts in the truth of many statements of the interview of Ms Beyonce Knowles published in NEON, issue January 2010The article was written by the freelancer Ingo Mecek. The editors-in-chief have confronted Ingo Mocek with these doubts. Ingo Mocek was not able to verify certain statements, particularly the statements regarding a marriage contract of Ms Knowles. Therefore, we assume that the interview did not take place as claimed by Ingo Mocek”.

It continued: “NEON dissociates itself from the content of the interview with Ms Knowles. NEON subscribes to a high level standard of truthful journalism. Since Ingo Mocek has violated these standards severely, NEON has terminated all relationships with him with immediate effect.We sincerely apologize to Ms Knowles and her management for all personal inconvenience that may have arisen due to the publication of this interview”.

The crowd went nuts as Alicia performed “Put It In A Love Song” and  Beyonce hit the stage, followed by the Billboard number one single “Empire State of Mind” with Jay-Z. With a 2-1 rise for “Telephone,” Lady Gaga and the track’s featured artist Beyoncé have tied the record for most No. 1s since the Nielsen BDS-based radio airplay chart launched in 1992. The pair joins Mariah Carey, who tallied six toppers between 1993 and 2005. Lady Gaga and Beyonce pass Avril Lavigne, Pink, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, each with five No. 1s.

Beyonce first led Pop Songs with “Crazy in Love” in 2003, while Lady Gaga first appeared on the chart just 16 months ago. The latter performer, in fact, has yet to fall short of the survey’s summit, reaching No. 1 on her first six tries:

Lady Gaga has praised Beyonce for her “courageous” decision to appear in the video for new single ‘Telephone’.

The pair star together in the controversial promo, which was released on Friday and has now been viewed more than 15 million times online.

The clip, which features sex and violence and is over ten minutes long, sees an extensive guest turn from the former Destiny’s Child singer.

Speaking in an interview on US radio, Gaga paid tribute to her fellow pop icon, after revealing that her initial reaction to the proposal was: “‘What’s in your head, girl!?’”

“She was very courageous in this video,” she told Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS radio progrom.

“Can you imagine me saying to her, ‘OK, now Beyoncé, you have to call me a very bad girl and feed me a honey bun’?

“She trusted me because she liked my work and because she knew I loved her. It ended up being a masterpiece,” said Gaga.

‘Telephone’ went up almost 20 places on the UK singles chart this weekend to number 12.

CNN reported that video had been banned by channel; it actually began airing on MTV early Friday.

In the wake of reports that surfaced over the weekend claiming that MTV had banned Lady Gaga’s nearly 10-minute-long video for “Telephone,” a spokesperson for the channel clarified the situation on Monday (March 15).

“MTV did not ban Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s ‘Telephone’ video — in fact, we premiered it on Friday, March 12, on-air and online at MTV.com, two days before this story was falsely reported,” said MTV Executive Vice President of Music and Talent Amy Doyle. “Fans can continue to catch the video as we repeat it on-air and online.” Music videos generally air on MTV weekdays between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The rumor appears to have begun with a segment that aired on CNN on Sunday in which reporters Fredricka Whitfield and Jacqui Jeras discuss the video — which at press time has been viewed more than 14 million times on YouTube since its release late Thursday — and say that MTV had banned the clip. The CNN segment has circulated widely on the Internet, but does not currently appear to be on the CNN site; it can be viewed on MediaIte.com.

“It’s so strong, so suggestive, so sexual, so violent as well, that MTV has said, ‘We’re not even going to air this, so it has banned the airing of this video,’ ” Whitfield said, without citing a source. At press time, a spokesperson for CNN had not responded to MTV News’ requests for comment.

The “Telephone” video went live on MTV.com at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, an hour after it premiered on E!, and began airing on MTV that morning at 9:30 a.m. as part of the “Lady Gaga Artist Collection,” which ended with a full-length airing of the video, a spokesperson for the channel said.

The epic, Jonas ?kerlund-directed “Telephone” clip, already a fan favorite, stars Gaga and Beyoncé and includes a head-spinning array of pop-culture references, ranging from the obvious (“Thelma and Louise,” Tarantino films) to the not-as-obvious (“Dune”). Jai Rodriguez, who plays a reporter in the video, said Gaga and Beyoncé were both “epic” and focused during the shoot. Of the clip, Gaga has said she’s “always trying to convolute everyone’s idea of what a pop music video should be.”

If Cheryl Cole ever wants a stand-in for her public appearances then she should look no further than comic Rufus Hound.

Ditto for Beyonce, who could well have met her match in Katy Brand after the comedienne gave her a run for her money in the dance routine stakes.

But Cheryl and Beyonce really needn’t worry about the competition because both comics were just having some fun all in the name of charity.

Hound and Brand were two of six celebrity acts who made it to the final of BBC One’s Let’s Dance competition for its Sport Relief charity.

Brand, who looked fantastic in her black leotard and gold glove, strutted her stuff to Beyonce’s All The Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), while Hound had the audience in fits of laughter with his rendition of Cheryl’s Fight For This Love.

Although both performed tricky dance routines, they didn’t miss a step and performed them to perfection while still managing to keep the comedy element.
