Simon Pegg and Nick Frost join forces with Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Rosamund Pike for "The World's End."  The story revolves around five childhood friends who are attempting to complete a marathon pub crawl 20 years after their first try failed.  The movie, penned by Simon Pegg, reunites Pegg and Nick Frost with Director Edgar Wright who also directed "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz."  "The World's End" will hit theaters in the U.S. on August 23rd.

The summer movie frenzy continues with the release of new trailers for "The Lone Ranger" and "Man of Steel."  The movie line up this summer will be sure to keep a lot of people busy (and spending lots of money) at the theater.

The new trailer for "The Lone Ranger" shows us more action and a few more quips from Johnny Depp who plays Tonto in the film.  With each trailer, it looks more and more like star Armie Hammer will have the chops to carry this film without needing Depp to take the reins.  Or at least we hope so.  "The Lone Ranger" is directed by Gore Verbinski who, as every trailer reminds us, also directed "Pirates of the Caribbean."  "The Lone Ranger" hits theaters on July 3rd.

The new trailer for "Man of Steel" has a darker undertone than other trailers released and introduces us to the films villain General Zod.  "Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe.  "Man of Steel" hits theaters on June 14th.  Tickets are on sale now.  Don't forget to check with your local Walmart stores for tickets to a premiere night on June 13th as well.  Walmart started selling premiere night tickets at 8am on May 18th but if your Walmart was anything like ours, the lines were short and demand was low.

It looks like the Bond franchise may be courting Christopher Nolan to direct the next Bond film.  The Daily Mail claims that talks have begun between Nolan's representatives and the Bond franchise.  While nothing is certain, we do know that Sam Mendes will not be directing the next film leaving the spot open.  We'd love to see Nolan's approach to the iconic James Bond.  We'd expect it to be nothing short of spectacular.

In the meantime, Nolan is working on his latest project "Interstellar" staring Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine.  "Interstellar" is a science exploration movie focused on hypotheses around wormholes and gravity theories that Albert Einstein was never able to prove.  The film is currently in pre-production and will begin filming this summer.

Warner Bros. will be filming their latest film "The Judge" in Shelburne Falls later this month. "The Judge" is directed by David Dobkin and revolves around the story of a man (Robert Downey Jr.) who returns to his hometown to attend his mother's funeral.  During the visit he discovers that his estranged father, who is the judge in town, is suspected of murder.  Stars Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duvall, Leighton Meester and Billy Bob Thornton will be visiting Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts from May 31st to June 17th.  Filming locations will include Bridge Street area and many local businesses.  If you're in the Shelburne Falls area we'd love to see some photos from filming!
