Best known for their nail polish in a pen, LAQA & Co, have now created a line of no-sharpen fat lip pencils and I was lucky enough to get a chance to try one.

The pencil I received was called Ring of Fire which is a gorgeous classic red shade.

Buttery soft this pencil coated my lips with vibrant, glossy color.

I loved it!

Another thing I loved about this product?

The packaging!

Each pencil is packaged in unique artwork from a young designer and the designers even receive a percentage of the profit from every color bought.

How cool is that?

Oh and the products are cruelty free as well which is always a great thing!

Next time I’m in Anthropologie I’ll be picking up more of these because they’re fantastic!

As most of you know I received the Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Lucky last month in my Birchbox.

I was so excited because I love Tarte, but a little skeptical about trying it as I’m not a fan of matte lip products.

So what did I think?

What they say:

My thoughts:

The Good….

The color Lucky is a gorgeous pink shade.
The product is natural.
Not tested on animals.

The Bad..

Left my lips looking and feeling dry.
Not as moisturizing as they say it is.
Not a true lip tint/stain as I had to reapply often.
The cap on this product is super hard to remove.

Overall, I’m just not a fan and at $24.00 I would say to pass on them.

As a Tarte fan I wanted to love these, but sadly I didn’t.

I’ve actually used this method before myself. As a makeup artist I use corrective concealers like this under foundation sometimes to even out skin tone.

Give it a try sometime if you want to do the same.

South Beach (Miami) is one of my favorite places to go during the summer so of course I’m loving this collection.

The Bobbi Brown Miami collection will give you that South Beach glow without the harmful rays and how gorgeous does the model look?

I’m going to have to recreate her look very soon.
