Hey ladies! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I spent mine shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, Long Island. I got some good deals, but splurged even more. I bought some discounted MAC products at the Cosmetics Company and got Mineralized Blush, Electric Eel Eyeshadow and a 228 Mini Shader Brush, perfect for filling in the outer corner of your eyelids. I also splurged on a Juicy Wallet and Aldo leather gloves, which cost me more than I was hoping to spend (yikes!) But I LOVED both the colors and style so I couldn't resist.

My favorite purchase was Bath & Body Works' Aromatherapy Stress Relief Sugar Scrub. I bought Tranquil Mint hoping to relieve some of my own daily stress.

FREE Lipgloss

Luckily I got my hands on this lipgloss after a friend of mine went shopping at CR. The shade she received was Rebel Yell, a sheer raspberry pink with a hint of purple. Since Leslie only likes to wear clear lipgloss, she gave me hers. According to Makeup.com, Glamour Gloss is supposed to wear like a lipstick and shine like a gloss. I was really eager to try this out because I love glossy lipstick. I always have to apply lipgloss over my lipstick to get that shine, so I was looking forward to cutting out that step.

This lipgloss has a sweet candy scent to it with a pretty thick consistency which led me to believe that it has long lasting power. The applicator is a bit large for my liking, so I had to dispense the correct amount in order for it to not apply messy. The color did last for a few hours, but the gloss lost its shine in only a few minutes. I was quite disappointed in that. I have to apply my other lipgloss over it during the day just to keep that shine, which kind of defeats the purpose of this product. However, since I adore the scent and color I'm going to keep this gloss as a backup.

In Conclusion~ I wouldn't spend $50 in Charlotte Russe just to get Too Faced's Glamour Gloss. But I would spend $50 because of all the cute outfits they sell. New Favorite Eyeshadow

I just discovered my new favorite eye shadow (and possibly make-up line) this weekend, and I thought I'd share it here!

The make-up line is called Global Goddess which targets the tough “mid-range skin tone,” including but not limited to S. Asian, Latina, Middle Eastern and mixed ethnicities. Since I am of Turkish and Bulgarian decent, I was immediately drawn to this line. I often have trouble finding the perfect eyeshadow shade to compliment my skin tone and complexion. I bought the Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette recently in hopes to increase my shadow collection, but found myself only using its earth, blue and gray tones. Unfortunately the other colors (mostly pinks) don't look right against my skin.

The Global Goddess make-up line is known for tackling multi-cultural beauty challenges - from false lashes for enhancing Asian eyes to brightening creams for under eye circles that plague darker skintones. Since I currently have a foundation from Clinique that I use, I didn't purchase any of Global's foundations. Instead, I decided to try the "I-Divine White Tea Infused Eyeshadow - Teesta."

Let me just say that I have never used an eyeshadow that has lasted as long as this one does. Even when I apply an eyeshadow base, the colors usually fade a bit at the end of the day. However, this one did not. Teesta stayed bright and vivid, just as I applied it for the first time. It's a blue shadow with a hint of gray, giving you that smokey eye look. It also blends very well, letting you combine it with almost any color. The only con about this product is the price. Global Goddess products are known for being on the pricey side, especially their eyeshadows. A single eyeshadow is going to cost you $18.00, which is a lot more than I'm used to. However, if you're willing to make the splurge, it's definitely worth the price. This eyeshadow will last a long time because you don't need to apply a lot of it to get that rich color you want.

Now if this eyeshadow is out of your price range you need not worry. There's another line of eyeshadows with a very similar color to Teesta that costs less than half the price. And that line is NYX. Another favorite of mine. I have a bunch of their shadows, including Navy Blue, which is the color closest color to Teesta. Weekend Shopping

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you girls enjoyed the weekend. I had a blast during mine with my little shopping spree in Manhattan. I bought the cutest accessories, and got the most amazing deals in Daffy's.

Since the weather was nice, I decided to take the train to 34 Street and check out some of the new fall fashion.

I bought a teal leopard print scarf from Strawberry and a great pair of thick rimmed sunglasses from a store called Le Chateau. I never heard of the place before, so I asked one of the employees about the store. And to my suprise Le Chateau is a Canadian clothing store that recently branched out in NYC. In my opinion their clothes are a little over priced, but I couldn't say no to those sunglasses. So adorable!

I then decided to check out Daffy's instead of my usual trip to Forever 21. Daffy's can be a bit overwhelming because of its size, but I felt that I had the time and patience to shop there. It really is one of the best stores to get deals on designer clothing. I found a long black sweater that goes great with stockings and a vintage-esque white blazer.

I could not believe the blazer only cost $20.00 because of how good the quality is. It has a velvety texture that's soft to the touch. The sweater was thick and soft too, which kept me warm on Saturday night when I was waiting outside in the cold for 2 hours just to get into a Haunted House. So Ridiculous. Here's a small tutorial I put together last night. I really wanted to make a video but I didn't have my webcam on me at the time. But I will definitely be making videos soon so stay tuned for that.

I used the Large Black Bumpit for this tutorial. I find the Hollywood Bumpits to be too big for my hair so I haven't used it yet. Here's how you do it.

One: Part your hair. Two: Collect a small amount of hair from the front. Three & Four: Take the Bumpit and place it under the hair you collected. Make sure the Bumpits teeth are grabbing your hair so it stays in place. Also, try and get the Bumpit as close to the front of your head as possible. If you're having trouble, collect less hair from the front. Five & Six: Use bobby pins or a small hair clip to clasp your hair back. Add a touch of hair spray to keep your hair in place and flyaways at bay. Tip: If you have thinner hair and the Bumpit teeth are still visible, teasing your hair a little will help hide it.

Wow, it has been a LONG time since I updated my beauty blog. A lot of things have come up in my life that's caused me to put this on hold. But since things have cooled off for now, I can update more often.

I started getting into Victoria's Secret products more so lately, and decided to purchase bronzer and eyeshadow in addition to their fabulous lipgloss yesterday. I must say Christian Siriano did an amazing job on his make-up for VS. The bronzer and highlighter trio is the perfect combo of shades to add some color to your face.

You can selectively apply the highligher or bronzer onto your brush to the get the effect you want. Or you can blend them together, adding a shimmery look to your cheeks that lasts all day long.

The Silky Eyeshadow collection is another must-have from Christian's fall collection. The pigment is rich in color and drapes the eyes beautifully.

I bought the F-12 Sahara shade and currently combine it with my other eyeshadows. The shimmery texture blends perfectly with any color, and complements both warm and cool skin tones. The best part is that the color stays bright all day. It never gets dull, and always looks like it was just applied.

Fantastic Deep Conditioner

I am sooooo excited to write about this next product because it has worked really well for me. Currently, my hair has been dull and dry. I've been way busy and to be honest, lazy about going to the salon. So I needed a quick fixer-upper. A deep conditioner to be exact. I wasn't sure which to use, and took a chance on a REDKEN product. I've only heard good things about them so I decided to try their EXTREME DEEP FUEL strengthening treatment.

I was a little skeptical about this product because my hair usually stays dull no matter what. My hair has been chemically processed with relaxer many times, which causes the dullness. So I wasn't sure if this was going to work or not. The box comes with 5 tubes of conditioner, which is a lot actually. You're supposed to use one full tube on towel dried hair, and wait about 5-10 minutes to let it soak in. Then rinse out. The conditioner contains lipids and proteins which are supposed to repair damaged hair.

When applying the cream for the first time, I immediately noticed how smooth my hair felt. It felt a lot smoother than it does with regular conditioner. And after rinsing my hair out, it still stayed soft. I decided to let my hair air dry at the time so I could use my straightening iron on it. I find my blowdryer dries out my hair more, and I wanted as much softness I could get out of this product.

After my hair dried, I could actually notice a difference. My hair did feel a little softer, and smelled wonderful. It even shined, which it never does! I knew if I could feel that little difference when my hair was curly, that it would be doubled after I straightened it. And.....I was right! It was ridiculous how much of a difference this conditioner made in my hair. Even my bf had good things to say about it ;] He loves how soft my hair feels now. This product has really amazed me! I honestly can't wait to use this conditioner again. Please ladies, try this out, you won't be dissappointed. ♥

Great Shampoo/Conditioner

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I haven't been updating as much lately. A bunch of things have come up in my life, and I'm trying to juggle them in order to make time for everything. I'm sure you girls know how that is.

Okay, so today I'm going to review a new shampoo/conditioner I recently used. It's not very pricey, and you can buy it from almost any drugstore. It's by L'Oreal, and the line is called Vive Pro. It is fairly new, and comes in different formulas to customize for various hair. The one I bought was the Hydra Gloss Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for dry hair. They also have one for very dry hair, however the CVS I went to didn't have it.

When applying this shampoo and conditioner, I immediately fell in love with its scent. Most shampoos/conditioners I've used have a floral scent. But the Hydra Gloss smells a lot like butterscotch. Sooo Delicious ;] It also felt soft and velvety as I massaged it into my scalp.

Now the big test was to see how my hair looked and felt after I blow dryed it. I have very dry and curly hair, so seeing the final result of this product was the most important step for me.

Suprisingly the scent stayed in my hair. It lingered for a few days actually. (FYI: I don't wash my hair everyday because it's very dry, and unhealthy for me to do so). My hair felt soft and smooth, minimizing frizz that I usually get after blowdrying my hair. Hydra Gloss didn't weigh my hair down either, which I find common with a lot of other brands, such as Pantene.
The shampoo and condioner each cost me around $5. A great deal on drugstore hair products if you ask me.

If you're looking to change up your shampoo/conditioner, or want to save some money, I definitely recommend L'Oreal's Vive Pro. It's a great price for it's value. ♥

Beauty Regimen

Hi all! I was speaking to my friend recently about her beauty regimen and how unhappy she's been with it. No matter what shes uses she always ends up with oily skin. I suggested that she try my routine, and in a week's time she said she could actually see a difference.

So now I'll share my routine with you ;]

My skin used to get very oily during the day, and I wasn't sure how to stop it. My face would appear shiny even through my make-up. I would have to keep applying powder throughout the day to keep the shine down. It was incredibly frustrating.

So one day at the mall I decided to check out Clinique's products because of all the hype I heard. I was skeptical on spending a lot of money, but then realized that if I wanted my skin to look good, I would have to spend the money. When I explained my problems to the saleswomen, she suggested that I try their rinse-off foaming cleanser and 7 day scrub cream which acts as an exfoliant. She also suggested trying their superfit foundation and facepowder which would also help my oily skin.

#1. Clinque rinse-off foaming cleanser: 5 oz $18.50
#2. Clinque 7 day scrub cream: 3.4 oz $17.50
#3. Clinique superfit foundation: $20.50
#4. Clinique blended face powder and brush: $19.00

After using these products for a week, I noticed a big improvement in my face. My skin was less oily, and my complexion even. When I applied the foundation on for the first time (via Clinique Brush), I was impressed with the way it blended into my skin. It matched my skin tone perfectly. The same with the facepowder. It was the first time I used loose powder, and I recommend it to anyone looking to make their make-up look more natural.

I've been using these products for about a year, and I haven't had oily skin since. The great thing about Clinique's products is that they last very long. The products that I've been using have lasted me almost 6 months, no lie. I never used anything that has lasted me that long. It truely saves me a ton of money.

Nailpolish

I was wondering what to do my next review on, and since I was just about to paint my nails, I thought what better time to write about some nailpolish!

The best polish that I've been using from drugstores is Milani. They come in a ton of different colors, and I mean a TON. There's so much variety, and that's what makes it my favorite. The quality is pretty good considering it's not salon nailpolish. All you need to do is apply on a good clear top coat, and it'll last you through the week. Here are some of the colors that I currently own.

The pink and black are my favorite shades ;]

Now if I have some money to spend, I'd go for the OPI polish over Milani any day. They also have an awesome collection of colors which are really unique. I've been using Metro Chic for the past month, and the more I use it the more I fall in love with it. It's a gray color with just a hint of purple that only OPI carries.

When you apply OPI's nailpolish for the first time, you'll notice how amazing the quality is. The polish is thicker, and you really only need one coat. It also chips less which saves you money from going out to buy more polish. ♥

Mother's Day/Mall

Happy Mother's day all! Hope everyone has something special planned to do with their mommies today. I know I do ;]

Here are some things I picked up at the mall on Friday:

#1. So, lucky me found the perfect banquet dress at Marciano! Unfortunately Bebe didn't have the one I saw on their website. But I think this one is a lot nicer.

I honestly think this is the perfect little black dress. You can wear it to almost any event. Weddings, parties, a fancy date. Now I just have to find the right shoes to go with the dress!

#2. I've been craving for some good eyeliner for the past few weeks. The ones I have are okay, but I was getting tired of it coming off after a few hours. I needed one that lasted all day. So, I took a trip to Sephora and splurged on a Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil.

It cost me around $16 dollars, which is ridiculously a lot for some eyeliner. But nevertheless, I used some last night and it never came off. So I'd say it's worth the money.

#3. The present I'm suprising my mom with today is Estee Lauder's Pleasures perfume. My mom LOVES it. She goes through bottles like it's nothing. So I just had to buy some for her. TGIF and Dry Shampoo!

Hey everyone, happy Friday! I am off to the mall today to find myself a glamorus dress for a banquet I have to go to at the end of the month. I have one dress in mind that BEBE carries, and I am hoping they have it.*Crosses fingers*

As usual I am in a terrible rush, and I need to do something quick with my hair. I'm probably going to end up putting it in a clip, so I won't need to use my hair iron. Instead, I'm going to apply some dry shampoo, which helps the hair look less oily.

Dry shampoos work by absorbing the excess dirt and oil that can leave hair looking dull or dirty. While you would not want to replace liquid shampoo with the dry version altogether, it's a great alternative in emergencies, or when you're in a rush like me ;]

The one I currently use is Oscar Blandi's from Sephora. It comes in both powder and spray can form. I heard the spray can tends to get clogged a bit, so I went with the powder version.

All you do is squeeze out the powder into your hair and roots, then brush. It effectively soaks up oil, removes product build up, and boosts volume. It will also leave your hair with a clean, lemon verbena scent.

The 2.5 oz bottle I purchased costs around 20 bucks. It's a real good investment if you ask me.

Male Products for Women?

Okay so I've noticed that a lot of guys have been following my blog, which I find kind of cute. So, I'm going to dedicate this post to male beauty products that I currently use.

I use 3 male products on a daily basis.

#1 being male deoderant. I know this sounds incredibly weird, but I've found it to be a lot stronger than women's deoderant. The brand I use is Degree for Men. And the scent I use is called "Extreme Blast." It has a light flowery smell, which disguises it as a woman's deoderant. Oh and if you're a guy and currently use that scent, good choice!

#2 product I use is men's shaving cream. It's a ton cheaper than women's, and works just the same. The brand I use is Barbasol. It's been around for years and I prefer shaving foam over shaving gel. I use the version with Aloe Vera so it keeps my skin soft and smooth.

#3 and final product I use is the Mach 3 razor blade to go along with the shaving cream. The blades are much smaller than the women's Venus Breeze blades, which makes it easier to reach smaller areas. It also has an aloe vera strip, which conditions my skin. I also rarely find myself getting cut with this blade.

Hey all! Hope you've been finding my posts helpful. I'm going to be posting a quick review on my favorite lipgloss today. It's going to be a quick post since I have to rush into Manhattan soon and meet up with a girlfriend of mine. We're going to try out this Cuban restaurant in Times Square. Can't wait. Hope it's yum!

My favorite lipgloss of all time is Victoria's Secret's Beauty Rush. It is AMAZING. This lipgloss smells and tastes just like its flavor. Most of the time the lipglosses I've used smell like its flavor but taste like chemicals. Gross. These definitely do not.

The consistency of the gloss is ideal too. Not too sticky, and not too thin. It's perfect to layer on top of your lipstick, or to even wear alone. My favorite flavor is Cherry Bomb. I love cherries, and so does my boyfriend. He can't get enough of it either ;]

Beauty Rush lipgloss go for 7 bucks at Victoria's Secret stores. It's a little pricey compared to Drugstore glosses, but you're definitely getting what you pay for. Try it out and let me know what you think! ♥

Eyeshadow Continued

Hey everyone! Okay, so I promised to upload a picture of me wearing my two favorite NYX eyeshadows, so here it is.

Again, the shades I used are Champagne (ES10) and Rust (ES15). And believe it or not, I did not apply it using brushes. Since I'm always rushing to leave my house in the mornings, I had to find a shortcut. So instead, I use those spongey eye applicator thingies. I know they're terrible, but for rushing they're ideal. And it works perfectly with the shadows I use. It takes me less than 5 minutes to apply. Here's the one I use for my eyes. I find the longer handle easier to use.

What I do first is apply Champagne to my eyelids, then dabble on some Rust around the corners. Then to highlight, I use a shade lighter from Champage under my brows. After that, I use eyeliner (liquid) on my upper eyelid, then apply some (pencil) to my lower lid. And to make my eyes really pop, I add a little Champagne below that.

There you go! Eyeshadow for girls on the go!

Great Eyeshadow

Looking for a good eyeshadow that doesn't cost a fortune? Here's one that I use almost everyday.

NYX Eyeshadows won't put a dent in your purse. They're reasonably priced, and they last for HOURS. Here's a picture of a little collection I have going on ;]

They're seriously almost as good as MAC eyeshadows, and they cost a third of the price. If you live in NY or NJ, you can go to Essentials Plus to pick up shades of NYX shadows for around 3 dollars. If you try buying them on NYX's website, they end up costing 5 dollars. To me, both are still great buys.

Their shades are really fun to mix and match with. My favorite combo is Rust (ES15) and Champagne (ES10). Combining these two colors really make my eyes pop. I'll try posting up a picture tomorrow you can see what it looks like.

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog, and to my very first post. I'm going to be dedicating a good amount of my beauty product reviews to items you can get at the drugstore. Everyone is trying to save money, and I can help you get the best bargain on the best beauty products.

For awhile I've been trying to get a good quality mascara to wear without spending a ton of money. And through my journey I've come across lots of tubes promising to increase volume, increase length, increase shine, yaddah yaddah all that good stuff. However the mascaras that win my vote are the Maybelline Define-A-lash and the Maybelline Lash Stiletto.

Both mascaras are priced around 8 bucks and they each do the same thing; lengthen and define your lashes. As soon as you apply it, you will definitely see a difference. Your lashes will be longer, look fuller and compliment your favorite eyeshadow. I started off using the Define-A-Lash first, then tried the Stiletto. And the only difference I found was that the Stiletto brush is a little longer and curls your lashes a bit more. It also doesn't smear as much as the Define-A-Lash. To me, these aren't huge differences, and you can't go wrong with either tube. ♥
